Negative experience: Do not go to this dump! I have signed forms to have my medical records transferred mid part of last year and my new doctor hasn't received them yet and here it is February of the following year. I've called many times and sometimes no answer or even a call back by leaving messages!

Negative experience: Lowell Community Health Center. I never had any negative experience there until today. With a snobby Hispanic front desk girl at “Adults Medicine” Floor level 3 right-side window. I was next in line. As she proceed to say NEXT. I walk up to her, stating my name and appointment time getting to the point. She paused in disbelief, shakes her head and said, “Good Morning??!” Forces me greet her first. Thinking im rude. Not everyone needs to greet you, not everyone is happy. You’re not important. You giving an attitude requesting and shaking your head makes you rude and entitled.

Negative experience: El tiempo que llevo tratándome voy empeorando y no saben ni que hacer conmigo ven que voy de mal en peor y ni se comunican entre médicos y los especialistas a los que me envían tienen todo mi récord médico y ahora estoy en tramites de obtener la nacionalidad dominicana para poder irme a atender a otros hospitales porque aquí por lo visto, no me dan tan siquiera un diagnóstico de nada es triste ver como se me va la vida sin ayuda. Si yo llegase a ser familiares de uno de esos doctores de seguro buscaban la manera y ayudarme y si no al menos me dirían algo un diagnóstico pero no obtengo nada. Las instalaciones muy bonitas e higiénicas, pero después de ahí en mi experiencia no eh tenido solución, no sé, otras personas pero yo no

Negative experience: My doctors have been great but this facility is absolutely terrible. I have had two doctors leave the facility and this place doesn't bother to do anything about it. They just leave you in limbo. No prescription refills, no new doctor, nothing.

Negative experience: Trying to become a new patient after insurance changed and I needed a new PCP. My insurance company helped me find this office that said it was accepting new patients and I read through all the available providers and decided to give them a call. I was met with nothing but issues, first nothing available until April and even that was only a phone call appointment. The lady on the phone was also incredibly rude throughout the call. I was also told I Do Not get to pick my provider, ifI have picked this office, the office will assign me a provider based on who is available. Never in my life have I been told I'm not allowed to pick the doctor that's going to see me and I will not go to an office where they make decisions for me before knowing me. I started to explain to her that this wasn't going to work for me because I need to feel comfortable with my provider so I will be pursuing other options and She Hung Up on me before I could finish speaking. I do not recommend this office due to the staffing on the front line, I have no insight on the actual providers.

Negative experience: My primary is excellent such a caring person her main two nurses as well I can truly tell how much they care.. how ever that sed the people just answering phones or handling phone affairs worst experience ever other then billerica layhe who have no filter unlike that wich I'd prefer they just hang up on you don't follow through with call backs block you after using mychart online once so you can't book appointments or converse with questions I shit you not one booking one message my provider was stunned when I showed her they are lazy incompetent if you hate your job so much get a new one there's plenty bc believe me we the people don't wanna deal with your dry attitude on the phone. Call after call thing after thing what must I do to get help swollen liver exhausted passing out with seizures we just don't know. Believe me dear provider it's not me not putting the work in from my side its those in-between us. Thanks so much your biggest fan guys god do I wish I knew where the phone people room was I'd have a thing or two to unload via top of my lungs.

Negative experience: The AI assistant on the phone is useless and makes everything more difficult. I have to go in person to reach anyone and get anything accomplished. Update January 2026: I am giving up on this place and seeking treatment elsewhere. If they call you and you need to return their call (to give insurance information, for instance), it is impossible to reach anyone when you need to. Don't waste your time.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been at this hospital for about six years and honestly the experience is great! The care is exceptional and the doctors are very amazing. I moved over an hour away and I never changed my providers because of how accommodating and supportive the services are. Truest definition of patient-centered care.

Negative experience: LCHC is the worst from the staff to the system and quality of care - I dont even know how they keep getting funding. The call center hangs up everytine they thing the task is too much no one is willing to help. I've called everyday for a week to get my prescriptions refilled with no luck and no one calls me back. What do I have to do check in to get prescriptions for medications I've been taking for years? Go somewhere else this place is horrible

Negative experience: After the renovation, the service at this pharmacy has gotten worse. It has 5 service booths and only two are working. Now, waiting in line for a medicine takes over an hour. It's better to go home. They need more employees or the employees don't want to work. The worst pharmacy I've ever been to in my life. Definitely don't get your medicine there. I've been to the Jackson St clinic for years, but now I'm thinking about changing because it's unacceptable how everything has gotten worse, from getting medical care to getting medication. Before, the clinic wasn't aesthetically appealing, but it was of good quality. Today, it's beautiful but the quality is 0. I wish it were the same as before. Changes aren't always good. Now they have a beautiful clinic, a beautiful and organized pharmacy, but they don't have good service in either place. They post photos on their social media and social actions, but the population is dissatisfied and is being treated like trash and without respect.

Negative experience: My experience here in the past has been overall bad. From a doctor telling me to throw soda off my balcony to quit drinking it (I don't drink soda) to another ignoring all my chronic health issues and telling me my joint pain is due to depression, to overhearing the podiatrist loudly insult another patient and then touch me in a way that made me uncomfortable, and never even look at my feet or measure my legs but then noting issues in my chart he never mentioned to me. He also recommended very expensive shoes and when I couldn't afford them he said I was refusing to help myself and they "Aren't that much money." My experience with the OB department has been mostly good, though at one appointment I specifically asked to see a woman and they tried to pressure me into having a male doctor. When I refused they finally figured it out and had a woman perform the procedure I was there for. I haven't been there for years so I called two weeks ago, they aren't taking new general medicine patients and advise you just keep calling weekly to check if they are. I was also told OB would call me that same day to make an appointment and two weeks later still no call. Looks like their issues aren't any better these days.

Negative experience: If I could give it a 0 I would. I’ve been coming here since 2006 when I had only 1 child. It was Metta Health Center. I loved it then, but since the merge it’s been downhill. I’ve stayed mostly because of the providers. Myself and my husband left when our NP’s left. My 3 younger ones gave Melanie West has a NP and now she’s leaving and so are we. The front desk staff in pediatrics are more concerned with chatting and playing with toys than doing their jobs. I understand the job can be stressful however if a patient is checking in and your playing with a toy that makes loud noises to the point the parent is repeating the patients names and date of births multiple times it’s a problem. Long hold times when calling in, excuses about still learning EPIC be for real. You’ve had EPIC since 2023. Non clinical staff need to be retrained. If I’m calling at 10:02 AM for a sick visit for my child, how in the world are your sick visits done for the day? The day just started at 8 or 830 for y’all. Forcing us to go to your UC. I’m happy Melanie West for another practice. She’s a great asset. Your staff will be the reason people transfer out.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Ive never had such an easy experience at the doctor’s office. When you come in someone greets you and directs you to the correct department. When you go to the correct room - you can check in via Mychart and it allows you to skip any line. After I check in they always call me within the next 10 minutes (this is my 4th time here and its the same everytime. All the nurses and doctors are so kind and helpful and they are all skilled in mychart. I can view everything and pay my bills on there as well or even message my pcp.

Negative experience: Doctors are great but staff isn’t . They need some serious training on how to talk and treat people specially the one that works in health information and the one who answers the phone. If you want to wait months to get an appointment this is the place oh and also it takes forever to get someone to talk on the phone. If you ever want your health records they charge $7 for USB and .50 cents each page.

Fantastic experience: I have never had a problem with this place. My Doctor ( Dr. Jones ) and her staff have acted very professionally and have been very prompt with test results and basic needs and info. The spanish woman on the first floor who acts as a greeter is very polite and cordial. I think the only people who have problems are people who demand prompt attention and who are rude themselves. As far as the pharmacy, I feel as if they do the best that they can with the resources they have .

Negative experience: In the past, the service was excellent. Today, I realize that patients are just numbers. Many nurses do not manage materials properly and do not use gloves for certain types of procedures. It takes a long time to contact the patient when requested. I would like this to be reviewed. I know that there are a large number of patients, so hire more people to work there, more qualified people, not just anyone. Thank you.

Negative experience: While the nurses and doctors at the facility are kind and professional, my experience was unfortunately marred by the behavior of a staff member at the front desk of the phlebotomy lab. Due to a miscommunication, I had to wait an additional two hours, as I was not given the opportunity to explain my situation. The staff member was dismissive, cutting me off repeatedly and preventing me from speaking, which was both frustrating and unprofessional. However, I would like to commend the front desk staff (the cambodian lady) on the 4th floor for her kindness and helpfulness, which made a positive impact on my visit.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Lowell Community Health Center since 2015. I remember back then i was not really happy with parking and a few other things. You had to drive around so much to look for parking. I was however very happy with the doctor that was seeing my child.She was professional and detailed. When she left i was not happy about how there was no transitional process. I was not even informed. I made sure to send a feed back to the team responsible. We were assigned a new doctor for my children and we loved her greatly. She was great as well. Very professional. Unfortunately she had to leave. Guess what! Lowell community Healthcare sent texts to inform me of our change in provider care. Our appointments were rescheduled. Great job there! Parking is now so much easier. There is parking reserved on the second floor right opposite the fascility. Lowell Community health center has come a long way. Their providers and nurses are still excellent and professional. The general conditions of the environment has improved greatly and i will recommend the place any day.

Negative experience: Spoke on the phone with this woman Abigail c and she absolutely could not do her job and had lots of attitude then goes to write in my DOCTOR NOTES that i was rude and yelling, well maybe abigail if you could do your job this place would have some better reviews the staff at the front desk and phones are a bunch of jokes ur better going anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I am amazed that such a unique community health center has a low rate. I had experience with Community Health Centers in San Francisco and New York and liked what I saw and got today. It has organized professional communication, polite staff, answers all your questions and provides good quality services. Also, they have specialists in LGBTQ health, which is rare everywhere. So far, I like everything.

Negative experience: I have HSN but they are not taking new patients. So I can’t get any medication unless I have to pay, which I can’t afford because I’m on HSN (vicious circle). The CVS is also busting with people, though they seem to have no problem taking new patients every day and not turning anyone down. Who is the problem here: health center.

Negative experience: Place is horrible especially pediatrics department they either take forever downstairs and make you late to your appointment . They make you reschedule Your on time and you wait an hour or more because they are behind if you don’t have time to wait they make you reschedule If God forbid you are two minutes late. They make you reschedule So hard to get and keep an appt at this place and most staff member make it seem like they could care less about your time.

Fantastic experience: This morning I called the health center to book an appointment for my father. The wait time was less than 3 minutes, and the staff was super polite!! My father loves Dr Rao, and he has been his patient for more than 10 yrs.!! Kudos to the LCHC team for taking such an amazing care of patients!!

Negative experience: If there has 0 rating i would give 0. I'm out of my medication. called Tuesday morning they told me going to send a message to Dr., I waited on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, I keep calling twice a day, every day got same answer. Today I called twice still no prescription. What's a medical center treating there patient like this! They're not saving people's lives. They're kill them. Don't go there. you waste your time and your life.

Negative experience: I just want to review the PWC representative behavior so bad and rude, seem like she just like a president. Looking down to all patient. Negative experience: I am totally unhappy with LCHC. They put you on hold forever. They actually han no record of the doctor I saw whom I actually liked. The CVS pharmacy there is a joke Three times I went there and they didn't have my medication and told me twice I had to go back to the doctor to reorder it. This last time was the worst....called in my Pramipexole two days before it ran out and two days later they are still "working" on it which really meant the doctor there changemed my dose without even consulting me. I have been on that dose for many years now and it worked perfectly fine. I had to argue with a nurse for an hour until I was in tears but no one would budge. Now I am going to go without sleep for several nights repeatedly because they took away from me something that was working for me. I will now have to deal with insomnia and rls every night. Whatever happened to "do no harm?"

Negative experience: Worst place to go they took away his Tylenol then his ibuprofen and then his gabapentin which he's takes urine test for levels and hasn't had any alcohol cocaine or opioids in 10 years. My boyfriend Brian Gray was prescribed heavy doses of Klonopin from Dr Martha Root which I hear is working at lchc.Years ago and was left for dead in Boston by people who robbed him for a script or 2mg Klonopin 4 times a day so watch out Martha Root and he's coming for you legally.i have drug test for last 11 years no narcotics in system or alcohol SO PLEASE PEOPLE BEWARE OFDRS LIKE MARTHA ROOT

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars, I would. No regards for patients' time. If the appointment says it's scheduled for 3pm, actual appointment is at 3:15pm. without any notification. Now, the best case scenario is that you arrived 15 minutes early, and you have to wait at least 30 minutes before you see a nurse or doctor. Second best case scenario is that you arrive 15 minutes early and spend 15 to 30 minutes in first checkin line as well as 5 to 10 minutes in the second checkin line and another 15 minutes after second checkin to see a doctor or nurse. At this point, you have already waited at least 50 minutes. On top of all this, attitude of the staff is through the sky from the folks at the door telling you to get in line or at the checkin desk to tell you that they don't know how long will it be before its your turn even though they scheduled you and you made an appointment to be there at a certain time to get some medical help. Now, God forbid, if you are late, I don't know what will happen. I will leave the worst-case scenario for you to describe. My worst-case scenario was a wait of 2 plus hours to get vaccinated for two of my daughters. My appointment was at 10:15am, I arrived 9:45am and checked in at 9:55am and it's afternoon while I am still here.

Negative experience: Had an appointment for my ultrasound yesterday I happen to meet this woman called doctor Abdi she's very rude,arrogant and she has no respect for patients if I happen to go their again I will not allow her to see me again as a doctor period!!!! Have been there as a patient for long and have never experienced these kinder behavior until I met these Indian woman. that is very mean!!!!

Negative experience: Would give 0 starts if I could. This place is an absolute joke. Waited over an hour for appointment. Finally asked what was taking so long..they didn't check me in. Now it's to late for doctor to see me, so they want to schedule me out 4 months..my last 3 appointments they called and canceled the day before or 3 hours before appointment. They never answer the phones either. I hate this place don't waste your time

Fantastic experience: i'm a patient in this hospital for 5 yrs now, am not too good for taking time to write a review but this one here i had to, this hospital have been so helpful and so good for taking care of my health , i would like to thank anyone who works here for a well good job done, we appreciate for all that you do for us,and may God bless you all.

Negative experience: My mother is 71 and diabetic, this is now the second time that Doctor Basheer has not renewed my mother's diabetic medication. 2 weeks have passed since the Pharmacy called the doctor to approve the renewal of a life saving medication ( diabetes medication) I have now called three times. All three times I was told we are rushing it through still no medication. My mother's blood levels have spiked. I was hung up by someone who said I can't do anything the doctor isn't doing her job and hung up after I asked to speak to the doctor. Called again was told she doesn't know why the doctor hasn't approved it.I will be seaking legal help if something happens to my mother due to their gross negligence . This comes just days after my mother took 2 busses to get to her appointment 1 hour early for them to cancel her appointment while she stood inside the office with no explanation. The state should look into these claims by many of the reviews it looks like gross negligence is a very common theme.

Negative experience: ZERO STARS. I am my families point of contact for appointments and anything doctor related and i gotten multiple calls saying an appointment was scheduled for my family… we haven’t been here in over 5 years. And when i told the person on the phone multiple times that no appointment is needed they still harassed me saying that i HAVE TO show up to the appointments they make for my family. It doesn’t make any sense why they are pushing appointments on people that no longer go to them. Is this your way of trying to get money by charging our insurance for appointments we can’t even cancel??? Thought this health center was here to help the community not harass and try to commit some sorta insurance fraud .

Negative experience: Horror show. The staff are tripping all over themselves with communicating. I'm not sure if the doctors really care either. You're lucky if the staff don't hang up on you after waiting on the line for 20 minutes. I've been lied to, hung up on, and straight up ignored.

We also have a Patient Walk-In Center open 8am - 1:20pm daily.

Negative experience: Had an appointment for my son. I was there on time and it apparently took them 2 and a half hours for us to be done. This place is a joke and if it wasn’t for the 3 minutes walk from my house I wouldn’t be there. Takes forever to get on the phone with someone. Takes forever to be seen. My kid hates going here because he knows how poorly this place is run. Get more efficient and maybe I’ll change my review. I absolutely dread having to make an appointment there. Really hoping I can find some place accepting new patients somewhere close

Negative experience: Called at 735am for a sick visit for my son....was told to bring him in at 9am or 940am. I replied 940 is good and I asked this is for today correct...she said yes!!!!. ..load up my son while 7 months pregnant. Only to be told that the appointment is for the following day. I don't care who you are but to not know the difference between today and tomorrow is absolutely inexcusable.... definitely removing my son from this office ASAP....this is not the first time mistakes have been made like this .

Negative experience: Absolutely not respectful and impolite personal. Noone recommend them. If they keep doing the same attitude everyone leave them. If you have a choice use another place, keep avoiding them.

Negative experience: To be honest this is far the worst places to take your kids why are the inside is super clean but the outside is full of nasty needles we’re the kids walk this is unacceptable we’re is the cleaning crew and the health department ti will be send this to someone that will help please be care we’re you let your kids walk dangerously disappointed
