From my first phone call and all the checks-in thereafter, the staff was always pleasant and willing to help you! I'd give 10 stars to Mark Manfredi, my physical therapist for his knowledge and professionalism. He explained everything he was doing with me and what I needed to do to get back my total mobility. I believe what made this process so successful too was the positive and friendly attitude that Mark, and all of the staff, showed consistently for every appointment.

The exercises are hard but this is what PT is about. The portal is easy to use and scheduling is simple. This would be my 1st pick if I needed to go to PT again.

Fantastic experience: I just finished my last session of physical therapy with Mitch Guttentag. This time I was rehabilitated my shoulder after a rotor cuff surgery. Mitch chose a set of different exercises for range of motion I the first few weeks. Then he started me on strengthening exercises. Everything worked well. He gave me some exercises that I could do at home. I was a good patient and I did all my exercises he recommended at home. Every time I went back to the next physical therapy session he analyzed my progress and took notes. This kind of practice got me back to a normal life in about 10 weeks. I have to mention that I am 76 years old and I played tennis for more than 50 years, so my body has been through a lot of stress. At my visit with the surgeon after 10 weeks from my shoulder surgery, he was very pleased with my progress. In my opinion Mitch did a great job again on getting my shoulder back to normal health. All my thanks to Mitch and his staff. I am not looking forward to go back anytime soon, but if I need it again Advance Orthopedics is the place for me! George Stanomir

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommended this place The people are so friendly and accomadating Mark worked with me and each week I got stronger and stronger. He always explained why we were doing each exercise and what muscle was being used. Also would ask if I had any special problems I was dealing with at home so we could work on it. I strongly suggest you ask for Becca who is absolutely amazing. I never would have thought I would be leaving PT sad that it was done but that is exactly how Becca makes you feel. My knee is so much better, no more limping and I feel capable of continuing to make it stronger from what Becca has taught me. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience in this office. I have a minor knee injury that I didn’t want to get any worse. Becca was my physical therapist, she was extremely knowledgeable and gave me some great stretches and exercises that strengthened my knee and other areas in my leg. I am now able to run without pain and if I do feel any pain or tightness I know what I have to do.

Fantastic experience: Mark was great. He was able to strengthen my shoulder over 1 year after my labrum repair surgery after several other physical therapists were not. I lived with a torn labrum for a few years so my recovery from surgery was particularly difficult. When I met Mark, I had already tried lots of physical therapy post-op, but I still felt weak in the gym and overly tight in my shoulder joint. Mark did the most thorough examination I’ve had a PT do when we first met, identified weak/inactive stabilizer muscles (which other PT’s had deemed to be ‘strong enough’), and worked with me to strengthen them, in addition to manual joint mobilization work. A few months later, I am now able to bench press more than I was able to pre-surgery, and am approaching my personal record from before the injury too. So I’d say if you have shoulder problems, go see Mark!

Walking into Advance Orthopedic and Sports Therapy I though it was the end of one of my favorite hobbies, the ECFL, an amateur football league. My Achilles injury was a huge blow both mentally and physically, but the entire team here was able to quickly turned things around. They didn't just focus on rehab; they provided the support and encouragement I needed to trust the process and stay motivated throughout a challenging recovery. I had the pleasure to be assigned to Mark Manfredi, someone who visibly genuinely enjoys their career path. I felt in the right hands from day one. The passion this man showed daily gave me the boost I needed to gain my mobility, more importantly my confidence back. For about two weeks Mark and I couldn't sync up time with our availability however I had the pleasure to go through the ring or the therapy gauntlet one would say. Each appointment I had a different member of the team and they didn't let me down. Each therapist read up on my file and took a different approach to my injury. I am very grateful I was able to experience rehabilitation at its finest. Don't ease up on no one Mr. G . If quality in its highest form is what you are looking for this is the place to be. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this practice for anyone who needs PT related to a sports injury. They really understand the athlete mindset and drive to return to normal activity. They are also super personable and provide excellent care and treatment plans.

Fantastic experience: I came to Advanced Orthopedic and Sports Therapy with lower back pain from paddling. I am an athlete who trains multiple days a week and the pain was limiting my training. Fantastic experience: An amazing practice with a great environment and great physical therapists! I worked with Heather Jones on my right ankle and she was great at answering any and all questions I had week by week while simultaneously working me through all exercises and stretches. I learned a lot and I don’t think my ankles have ever been stronger.

Fantastic experience: I just finished knee replacement PT with Mark Manfredi at Advance Orthopedic and I must say he was great! He helped me achieve all my recovery goals and then some. His prescriptive approach of strengthening and stretching enabled me to make continuous, noticable progress. I also had sessions with two other members of the Advance team, Mitch Guttentac and Rebecca Herlihy, when Mark was unavailable and they were great as well. I feel totally confident in recommending that anyone in need of physical therapy choose Advance.

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with Leah at Advance Orthopedics. She truly became a highlight of my day and never made me feel uncomfortable in any way. One thing that can be tricky when you are seeking treatment for your hurting body, is feeling like you will be shamed for your body. I never felt this once, and instead I felt a relationship build that became something I looked forward to in the week. Now that I have completed PT for now, I still have the stretches and practices to use to help me in the future and I know I’m welcome back anytime I need it!

Fantastic experience: My Lahey cardiologist, Dr. Amy French, authorized 40 PT visits to any clinic of my choice, after I told her I was only getting 4 hours of sleep a night due to a chronic 5 year Piriformis Syndrome dondition in my left buttocks. I chose Advance Orthopedic and Sports Therapy, and am a 100% satisfied patient after working with my physical therapist, Mitch Guttentag, at for several months. Even the Lahey Pain Clinic was unsuccessful helping me after performing injections under xray, with 5 technicians in attendance. The pain subsided for 3 weeks, and then returned with a vengance. Mitch Guttentag worked his "magic" on my hip joints, twisting and pulling. He had me working the arm and leg bikes, doing exercises at the clinic, and additional exercises for me to do at home. After 2 knee surgeries, Mitch, Mark and everyone here finally got me back to where I was feeling normal and could return to work. Fantastic experience: Update (June 2024): I started working with Mark at Advanced Orthopedics again in April 2024 for my 2nd knee replacement. I looked forward to working with Mark during my recovery. He listened to any concerns I had and would give suggestions on things to work on my own. If he felt it was something that needed to be brought to the attention of my surgeons he would let me know but usually it was a temporary symptom we worked through with therapy. I’m walking better than I have in many years. Feels good to be walking even and not hunched in pain. Thank you again Mark for keeping me focused and not trying to rush my recovery. (Nov 2023) I worked with Mark at Advanced Orthopedics for a couple of months after having a total right knee replacement. I had worked with him several years ago as well. He gave me good pointers of things to keep doing on my own beyond what we worked on at our visit. Very encouraging and would explain things to me in response to any concerns I had as I tend to rush my way through the healing process. Great experience and plan to go back after my left knee is done in February 2024.

Fantastic experience: Mark Manfredi and Advanced Orthopedics took excellent care of my mother. She saw him after her laminectomy and again after each of her 2 hip replacements. She was very satisfied with the results. The staff there is friendly and encouraging and set their patients up well for success!

Fantastic experience: Before going to Advanced I was just sitting around nursing a bad back. Steroid shots didn't help. I was able to return to being active after working with Mark for a short time.

Fantastic experience: Mitch Guttentag is the best PT ever and anywhere. He’s thoughtful, analytic, and patient and knew when to nudge me to the next level. He helped me go from walking cast for an ankle fracture and sprain to normal walking in no time at all. He is always positive and encouraging and just a very nice person to work with.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of working with Leah since October 2022. I started PT with her before my spine surgery, as well as after. She has been so helpful to me and I am so thankful for the time I was able to spend with her. Leah was so careful throughout my journey and helped me so much with my recovery. I started my journey with a lovely physical therapist and left with a friend .

Fantastic experience: Had the pleasure of working with Mitch for about 7 months of my meniscus / ACL tear recovery. Mitch was great and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to guide me throughout my rehab back towards returning to Basketball. Mitch was very precise and detailed in our sessions and I trusted him every step of the way. Along with all the staff there , they were always great and welcoming.
