Negative experience: During my recent emergency department visit, the attending physician, radiologist, and assigned nurse were professional, respectful, and provided appropriate care once services were established. Unfortunately, the quality of care prior to that point was inconsistent and below standard Upon arrival on December 23 at approximately 6:30 PM, the second-shift front desk interaction lacked clarity and direction. I was informed that the nurse was ready, after which the staff member walked away without providing instruction on where to proceed. Shortly before that , security approached my husband in a room full of other patients and requested to see his hospital bracelet, which was inappropriate and unnecessary. When asked why we were being singled out, no explanation was provided. Security then stated that we were not permitted to lay down, despite other patients doing so. An elderly couple nearby also verbalized concern regarding this interaction. It is important to note that the PCT appropriately obtained my vital signs twice, did not object to us laying down, and we were later provided a blanket, which further highlights the inconsistency in communication and enforcement among staff. I waited approximately five hours to be placed in a room and an additional two hours before being evaluated by the provider. I understand the physician was reportedly covering the floor alone; however, during this extended wait time, there was minimal patient rounding. I was extremely thirsty, struggling to catch my breath and unable to locate staff for assistance. When my husband inquired about an estimated time to be seen, the nurse responded, “I don’t know,” and walked away without providing additional information, reassurance, or follow-up. Once assigned, my nurse was attentive, professional, and responsive. The physician was also thorough and respectful. Unfortunately, the initial experience significantly impacted my overall perception of care. As a healthcare professional, I recognize that emergency departments are high-stress environments. However, patient experience begins at first contact. Non-clinical and support staff play a critical role in patient safety, dignity, and overall care delivery. Greater consistency in communication, professionalism, and patient-centered care—particularly during shift transitions—is needed. Despite the quality care provided by my nurse and physician, I would not return to this facility. I will continue seeking care at Lahey, where all staff—clinical and non-clinical—demonstrate consistent compassion, professionalism, and respect.

Negative experience: Terrible service we were waiting for several hours, my mother was in deep pain in her left leg they gave her a wheel chair which was highly uncomfortable, we moved her over to the regular waiting room chairs which was some what comfortable and the receptionist at the desk comes to try to take her wheel chair with an attitude, and told her she shouldn't have her feet up on another chair knowing that she was in immense amount of pain and she couldn’t regularly sit in a chair, Talk about serve and providing for the community. THIS IS HOW THEY GET YOU they’ll bill you the ambulance cost and have you in the waiting room for hours even if you in immense pain, dying or not guarantee they’ll still make you wait.

Negative experience: I've been at the hospital for several hours with my daughter. She put some modeling clay in her nose, and I was very worried because she had nasal pain and shortness of breath. When I arrived, the receptionist greeted me cordially, but the triage woman, who has short blonde hair, treated me very badly. When I said I didn't speak English very well, she was extremely rude and looked at me with disdain. After I explained what had happened to my daughter, she doubted what I had said, as if I were lying. She simply pointed a regular flashlight at her nose and said she couldn't see anything, even though I had just explained that she had expelled some of the clay down her throat and that my concern was whether it had gotten stuck in the passage between her nose and mouth. Unfortunately, I was ignored and treated with prejudice simply because I don't speak fluent English and I am of a different race. I've been here for HOURS. When I arrived, there were three other people, all of whom came in to be seen, including those who are arriving now. Three people arrived after me and were seen immediately. After all the waiting, my daughter was finally seen, but again they only looked with a cell phone flashlight and then with the correct equipment. The doctor left the room and returned with the discharge papers. I left there devastated. I thought they would at least give her a nasal wash, or ask me to do it at home, but nothing was requested. So I went home. After 30 minutes at home, I helped her expel the rest of the mucus that was in her nose. I do not recommend the hospital because of certain professionals who, in fact, can't even be called that, because a professional staff does their job with excellence.

Negative experience: Nunca he escrito una publicación o algo por el estilo ya que entiendo que los empleados también pueden tener un mal día. Pero ya esto se hace muy recurrente. Creo que deben buscar una forma de registrarse para el Laboratorio que sea más conveniente, eso es un desorden, las personas no saben que hacer ni donde ir. La recepcionista es bien desagradable, solo sabe decir: ese no es mi departamento o yo no trabajo para el Laboratorio, entonces deben poner una recepcionista para el laboratorio. Dure 25 minutos después de registrarme, me atreví a entrar y solo tenían un empleado para la fila de pacientes esperando ser atendidos y no solo eso cuando miré bien la persona que estaban atendiendo se registró después de mi. Que desorden y que frustración. Por favor enseñen a sus empleados a ser más amables con los pacientes.

Negative experience: Teach your techs to knock and be gentle please? Ms. Girl just barged in without knocking and ripped the curtain open. She lucky she don't work with me or she'd be out of there. I would never walk into a room without knocking for a nonemergency light. If she was having a bad day leave it at home don't take it out on patients its never their fault.

Negative experience: Emergency room. Filthy. Disgusting. Urine/garbage/cheese smell throughout the unit. I don’t think housekeeping was using a clean mop. The smell was brutal. Mom was then sent to MICU. Asked the nurse questions, she had no clue on what was going on. She was NPO all night for nothing. They did no tests on her in the morning stating that they don’t do those tests on the weekend! Mom can easily walk to the bathroom with a walker. They made her use a commode at the bedside with the nurse stating “it’s too much work for them“ meaning the PCA’s. Are you freaking kidding me?! Handing pills to my mom, not explaining what she’s taking. Taking forever to answering a call light. Sometimes answering from the desk or not answering at all, just turning it off from the desk. IV pump alarm Constantly going off and telling my mother to keep her arm straight when all they had to do was wrap her arm. Which they finally did when I told them to do so. Worst hospital ever! I’ve been a nurse for 35 years. I’ve never seen anything like this.

Negative experience: If I could give no stars I would. It took almost 4 hours of waiting after getting results to be seen by a doctor and that lasted all of 2 minutes. I don't ever recommend coming here for treatment half of the staff was sitting on their phones.

Negative experience: What I encountered tonight 5/26/25 around 8:30pm from your security team shook me to the core. I am living in my car with my husband. This security guard didn’t knock on our door to relay a message to us; he circled my vehicle at 2x from what I can see(my shades were up) when I told next time you should knock on the vehicle instead of shouting he proceeded to tell me” go cry about and argue over the fact that I was parked on stackpole st and when I told him an officer told me I was in no wrong to parked there the security member started calling me a scum and a bum. I had to call the police in which another officer told they knew one of the security guard was and he can be not nice and that I was fine to park on that street what the employee did after the cop left made me feel so uncomfortable and not safe he kept driving by our vehicle 7x with slowing down when driving next to our car. I felt so uncomfortable I had to move my car when to start with I choose to park on stackpole cause I thought I would be safe with hospital right there never thought that the security at that place would make me feel not safe.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank the medical staff at the Saints campus I went in on Sunday buy ambulance because when I woke up I was having trouble breathing and in pain every time. Everyone there was so nice pleasant always had a smile. I just got out yesterday for a hospital stay it was pleasant and when you are scared because you just don’t know everyone there put my mind at ease .

Negative experience: I’ve gone into this hospital in numerous occasions basically begging for assistance. I can’t believe the ignorance and arrogance out of these staff. They are an ER gone rouge and the security is beside them. They stole my watch. Security took it, it was a brand new iwatch and I never got it back. They are abusive in nature. They need to shut this place down.

Negative experience: Last time I was in the hospital I was born. I’m 43 now and had to go the emergency room because I had severe abdominal pain. It felt like contractions in my upper abdomen. The receptionist had a resting B-face and her attitude matched it! The blonde hair nurse that attended to me was beyond rude. If you hate people, why get a job working with people? I make defibrillators for a living and have worked in the medical field.. I was shocked at how unprofessional they hospital was. Oh, the wait time is unbearable! It might be best to die before this horrible staff attends to you. I do have to say: Vicky (nurse) and Fernando (CT scan guy) were sooooo nice! They are prime examples of how the entire staff should act. Will I come back: I’d rather die!

Negative experience: El peor lugar para una emergencia lleve a mi bebé de 2 años siempre que los doctores no están de acuerdo con uno como madre te llaman la policía siempre tengo problemas con el mismo guardia de seguridad hispano con guille de policía adjunto la evidencia ya que el cree que puede tocar la propiedad ajena si autorización la doctora Katja Von Tiensenhausen que desde que me escucho hablando español puso un gesto bien despectivo en su cara y hablando con actitud la enfermeras me trataron bien las RN FUERON BIEN COMPRENSIVA pero si le voy a decir algo los puertorriqueños les guste o no somos parte de USA Por tanto a nadie le puede molestar que hablemos español yo pago contribución más que ustedes tanto en USA COMO EN Puerto Rico que tengo mis propiedades no por eso me creo mejor que nadie estoy harta que este hospital sea una basura pero, salí a sala de espera había 2 adictos en sala durmiendo eso si la policía tenía que sacarlos no a mi ojo con eso pues desde las 12am esperaba ir a casa la doctora grosera que no pues ella dudaba de mi palabra de la condición de mi hijo que desde que tiene 1 mes de nacido esta enfermo con asma intermitente ojo con la doctora Katja Von Tiensenhausen y el guardia de seguridad que si le caes mal te jodes no es la primera vez es la vez número 3 que tengo un incidente en este hospital por el racismo de parte del personal, personas buenas falta de trabajo que lo haría mejor que ellos 2 (ojo es ilegal grabar en un hospital) aja pero como tener evidencias de los atropello que ocurren en estos lugares si nadie está a tu favor no es ilegal tu saber usar tu derecho para protegerte de daños de otros sin causar ningún mal eso fue lo que yo hice ojo las RN EN ESTE VIDEO FUERON UN AMOR me siento indignada me llamaron la policía como si fueran una loca o un criminal solo por no hablar inglés y ella ser una grosera como personas así son los que nos cuidan, como personas como esta cuidan de mis hijos, de mis familiares y amigos como es posible que carezcan de lo más básico que es amor al prójimo

Negative experience: Disappointed in this hospital, I come there for chest pain and something that won't allow me to breathe which I told them I just took medicine just to get put in the waiting room after getting Rush from the ambulance I didn't really see much going on except for people in the hallway and very annoyed and disappointed I had to walk out still with issues and I had to get the pill out of my trachea myself what was the point of the 4-Hour wait if they weren't even going to help me that's why I walked out after that chest pain is usually an emergency and stuff like that you'd think they'd want to help that's why I'm disappointed and it's getting one star

Negative experience: Hands down the worst medical care I’ve ever experienced. 12hrs to get Tylenol and zofran then discharged with an unknown diagnosis. Also was in a pinch from not having my meds for 3 days, buprenorphine and benzodiazepines. Dr told me they couldn’t verify them so he couldn’t give them to me! They freaking hand out 30 day supply’s of bupe on the streets now a days but the dr at the er couldn’t give me 1 tablet? They definitely make you wait in the waiting room for an extended period of time to weed people out. 8hrs for me and when I got back there their was mad empty rooms and beds, never seen anything like it ever. Fantastic experience: Patient and professional staff. They seem to work well in tough situations from what I saw through my ER visit. Was super busy, not many rooms but the staff was attentive and the EMT team was great with emergency patients coming in.

Negative experience: I was brought here without my will as a section 12. This the 2nd time this has happened to me. They won’t treat me or help… they just lock me in this unit. Where I hear parents yelling they will bomb this building …. So I have been here since yesterday. I will wait until you break all your legal rights so I can sue this hospital. Dr.Thompkins Says I will be transferred to Tufts medical in Boston. Thank you Best, Harsh

Negative experience: Let’s start by saying this hospital is known to let they patients die right in the waiting room. Second of I feel like patients don’t have no privacy. Today for my visit the front desk lady gave me a hard time to check me in. I have a fever of 104. She asked me for my ID I came in at 11 my point is she didn’t ask nobody else for ID and plus she made me shout why I was there, why do I have to shout when she has a mic and a speaker to clearly hear what I was saying. I don’t think any patient feels comfortable doing that . You guys need to hire better nurses with better costumer services and nurses that actually care about the patient and are not here just for a pay check. Triage checked my blood pressure did me a COVID test not even a drop of medicine to make my fever go down . Here I am still sitting in the waiting room, with a bad fever shriveling sweating like a cow and not being attended, you guys took people in that got here after me . This is not ok this hospital should be shut down The bathroom are disgusting. The whole place is nasty

Fantastic experience: Nurse Joyce was excellent, kind and knowledgeable. She answered all questions we had. She went above and beyond to call the lab back again to have tomorrow’s blood drawn so my husband didn’t have to go to the lab in the morning before his first chemotherapy appointment. The phlebotomist was excellent as well and got his blood on the first try. The post operative nurse was excellent as well.

Fantastic experience: I received an infusion at the infusion center at this hospital today. It was my first time here and I was very impressed. The folks in the infusion center were truly wonderful. My nurse Roland was just the best!! When you suffer from chronic pain, a little kindness goes a long way.

Negative experience: On 9/11 I went to the ER with eye pain, watering, scratchy feeling, and a history of the same with a corneal abrasion in July. I was seen very quickly but the person who led me to a room was rude. The doctor I saw didn't do a visual activity test or numb my eye, and because my eye was hurting and watering and not numb he said he "wasn't comfortable" doing anything about the inverted eyelash he saw IN MY AFFECTED EYE. He then diagnosed me with something unrelated and said my problem was just itchiness (eye was never itchy), and discharged me. Also while seeing him he frequently left the room with no notice and wouldn't come back for several minutes. My discharge papers had false information about my weight, height, pulse, etc so intake was also phoning it in. The lady who discharged me was also rude so everyone that day was apparently struggling to be decent. I called a patient advocate and she pretended to care and told me to go into the Main campus where I waited 6 HOURS but the doctor I finally saw there cared and found a corneal abrasion. I now have a corneal abrasion because the doctor at the Saints campus didn't t want to bother doing his job. The patient advocate assured me they would do an inquiry but her letter just rug swept and included false information. Can't say I recommend Tufts Health or the Saints campus. That treatment is unacceptable and their Google reviews reflect that.

Fantastic experience: Can't say enough about the treatment I received at saints campus... Outstanding....shout out to Nurse Alex...she is the best, most compassionate and proficient nurse I've ever had the pleasure of being treated by...kudos to her and thank you!!!

Negative experience: This is the worst hospital ever. Some of you need to stop treating people poorly, just because you know they need you, and won’t leave. Terrible triage Nurse! I mean she is just rude.

Negative experience: I have never been as angry at another human being as I was at Dr. Braun in the ER last night. I was considering applying for a position there but after she called me verbatim a "drug seeking mess" I don't think those are the types of folks I want to be working anywhere near. Especially if the position I'd like to have involves working with addicts and alcoholics in need of help and compassion in the waiting room. FYI I didn't sprain my ankle I fell off a ladder at work, dislocated my shoulder, and suffered severe muscular injuries throughout my body. They never solved the problem and now I have to go to Burlington to Leahy Hospital to receive treatment even though I live in a city with two hospitals. I'm still in agonizing pain but that didn't stop me from being on the phone with the Attorney Generals office all morning. I guess I'm off to Leahy to actually get help. PS I waited 7 hours before I was even seen just to be treated like human garbage.

Positive experience: Emergency room is understaffed and wait can be utterly ridiculous , even when in dire need of help.Ambulance is the way to go if need immediate care. Staff is so/ so Inpatient is a little better but as far as your rights go....FORGET IT!! GO TO BOSTON HOSTPITAL FOR BEST CARE!

Negative experience: Supposed to be a health “care” facility. Standing room only in the 5 hrs wait ER. Zero interest in taking care of people. You want treatment here, call an ambulance. It’s your only shot of seeing a doctor before you have another birthday. Inexcusably unprofessional with zero empathy. Disgusting.

Negative experience: What can I say about Saints Campus. I went there yesterday (June 11, 2024. I never want to go back there again. I was treated like discarded trash, I was in hospital hell. I saw them treating drug addicts better than I . I do not want to play the race card but it surely looks an feel like it. I could go on and on about their attitude towards people like me but take it from me, if u r my shade or darker....don't go! Worst experience ever in a hospital

Fantastic experience: I happy to live neer to the hospital cause if my kids are in pain like my little one last month, 11:30pm she can't bread i got scare and bring her to the er and they put her in fast, and we have 4 nurses helping out + the doctor and i don't care if we stay there 3 hours, i like they care to see how she respond to the treatment and take my angel home feeling better. God bless al worker at the hospital cause to do what they tell's me they care about there patients. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I was just there this morning. The staff at the front desk was great. Instead of telling me where to go, they took the time and walked me to my location. Then, the registration person treated me respectfully and was very friendly. The tec that took my exrays she was very caring and did her job perfectly.

Fantastic experience: I have been so sick the past few months, in and out of the ER with UC pain and flares, every time I go to this ER I have a good experience. I do end up waiting but that’s expected in an ER but I’m always treated with compassion and excellent bedside Manner. I had a nurse last night on 7/11 I didn’t catch her name but she was a complete angel to me the entire 7 hours I was there. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for being complete EFFING miserable with nausea….. I’ll always come here. But mostly I’ll come in the middle of the night so I don’t have to wait too long ….lol

Fantastic experience: Just had a test done and it was definitely one of the best medical experiences I’ve ever had. Rad tech Kelly was informative and helpful. The radiologist (sorry doctor, I forgot your name) explained everything so I knew what would happen next. I was in and out of the building in under 30 minutes. Great medical facility.

Fantastic experience: I was admitted in the hospital about 4 weeks ago saints memorial to excellent care of me they brought me right in when I was feeling ill they brought me in the back room immediately gave me a bed in the emergency room and then they gave me a private room upstairs on the third floor I don't know what else to say other than they were excellent the nurses were friendly and very concerned about your health thank you Saint memorial

Fantastic experience: The care I received was top notch. I went to the ER because I was in pain. I did have have to wait for a long time but I understand why. The work these folks do, day and day out does not go unnoticed. They are working around the clock providing card in a variety of ways. Nothing but respect. All the while they are dealing with a pandemic, mental health crisis, and several rude people coming and going. Please be kind to the folks that take care of us. Great job Saints Memorial. Fantastic experience: I went to the Er on the 4th of this month in the morning and the people there where friendly and nice. My nurse and my doctor was concerned and I felt like he spent more then he had to to figure out what was causing my stomach ache and other symptoms that I had. I had for 36 straight hours non stop and other symptoms

Fantastic experience: The nurses and doctor were extremely nice. I came in with a concussion around 2 in the morning and was seen pretty much right away. I’ve been to many hospitals before but this was by far the best experience I’ve had. Thank you to the staff for being so caring and nice.

Fantastic experience: As a (retired) registered nurse needing monthly infusions in the Day Surgical Department, I absolutely can't say enough compliments to cover just how great their professional services and demeanor have meant to me...from Christine on down, (or up)! The nurses work very well as a team, and even though I know that they are very busy, (most always), they have always treated me as if I am their only patient. Without a doubt, if I weren't retired, it is definitely a place I would love to work!
