Fantastic experience: I just had my first session of water therapy with Sharon. I cannot recommend her any higher. Extremely knowledgeable but also able to communicate clearly and motivate her clients. For the first time I have been made aware of the source of my knee problems. Cannot wait for my next session !

Positive experience: Everyone is amazing. Great personal care. They are on top of any medical conditions and attend to your personal needs. They make patients feel very comfortable and keep their spirits high during difficult PT and OT Absolutely amazing. My mother was back not to.long ago and in the 200 wing. BIG difference. Communication was horrible. Making doctor appointments without including me ( her primary care giver) clothes and shoes missing on discharge date. Just a miserable experience in the 200.

Fantastic experience: Naomi Sawyer has made my time at Northeast Rehab as stress free and encouraging as possible during a time in my life that has been anything but. She’s selflessly made efforts to help alleviate my pre-existing anxiety while facilitating the return of motor functions that I’d lost due to Lyme Disease.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about Northeast Rehab. My mom was just there on two separate occasions and it is an amazing place. Everything about it is fantastic but the staff is what makes the place. They go above and beyond. The staff is very kind, work hard, are attentive, friendly, and great at communicating. Lauren, the case manager, was a lifesaver. She was so helpful and always kept in touch with me for updates. If you have a family member or friend that needs to go to a rehab facility there is no need to look anywhere else. Thanks for everything! My mom misses you all!

The staff took excellent care of my mother and treated her patiently and with respect. They are an incredible facility, are staffed by caring professionals and deserve the highest praise. Fantastic experience: This rehab facility has been nothing short of amazing for us. Two elderly family members have been going there for various reasons in and outpatient for over five years. The therapists are courteous and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Can’t say enough good things about the outpatient ortho staff. I’ve made a full recovery from a badly torn calf muscle and I’m working with them on a torn rotator cuff to strengthen the supporting muscles and hopefully avoid surgery. I’ve worked with several of the therapists and assistants and they all demonstrate great professionalism.

Negative experience: Wish I could give a fabulous review, but they refuse to push me to get better even after I told them to push me. Hopefully my 4th session is better than the last one. Basically told me don't keep active all and you will get better. Then maybe we will push you.

Negative experience: Was told 24/7 respiratory facility. It is not. Husband ended back to hospital. Full of secretions put on icu. Most staff was good to him. It was not a good respiratory facility. Rehab was great. This facility blames hospital for discharging him too early. This facility had all his medical records. This was my husbands experience

Fantastic experience: I’ve been an outpatient for PT several times in the last 15 years. I’m now in PT after my 2nd hip replacement. I find all of the staff very friendly and professional, and most importantly they are very helpful in diagnosing and treating my issues and literally getting me back on my feet.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience at this rehabilitation center after my bilateral Achilles tendon reconstruction. It is well organized and the staff is very competent and nice. I had a wonderful stay. Special thanks to all occupational therapists, physical therapists, and all doctors, nurses, LNAs and the case manager.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital has been outstanding. My physical therapists, Liz and Danielle, have answered every question and have shown me the correct way to exercise and rehabilitate after a COPD diagnosis. They listen and they care. They push me encourage me, and infom me not only while I am there but also while I am at home exercising on my own. The staff at Northeast Rehabilitation exhibits and accomplishes a great teamwork environment by communicating with not only each other but with their patients. I wish that I could give more than 5 stars because Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital definitely has earned it.

Fantastic experience: As an amputee, they are amazing. I have been there three times and think they do amazing work. They got me back on my feet and even worked with me to learn to drive with hand controls. As I am coming to the end of my rehabilitation, I wanted to thank them for the great effort. Yes, it is not easy and they push you. When you do a Northeast workout, you know it. But, the mindset is different to other places. Other places might say “I am here for therapy. Would you like to do therapy?” At Northeast, the mind set is “I am here for therapy. We’re going to do…”

Fantastic experience: I suffered a major stroke in June,2023 and I was discharged to NRH in Salem,NH as impatient about a month later. They immediately began working with me on PT and OT. My therapists were nothing short of magical. They baselined my situation and regularly measured and documented my progress through discharge. They worked with my family so that we all learned techniques and strategies for me to safely return to the world. Their kindness, friendliness and compassion was off the charts! They played music during therapy sessions and were always pleasant, smiling and laughingt! I was a bit lost and they really made me feel safe and that I would be Ok. They were right! I bought into their teachings,put in the work and Iwas able to return home in July! I returned for several months of outpatient rehab and had the same great experience. Who has fond memories of rehabbing from stroke?? ME!!!! I have since returned to my golf league, attended an awesome concert in Boston Seaport on July 25, 2023 (Billy Strings was amazing(no Jackson Browne covers at that particular show, though, Jenny) !!, and I'm now back to my fulltime position as a software engineer and I'm chasing my 2 yr old granddaughter around my home :) I'm very fortunate that these wonderful people came into my life when I most needed them. They really help people and truly put lives and families back together. The doctors,nurses, and therapists are just incredible, they got me back to my life and family in a very short amount of time! Thank You once again!!

Fantastic experience: After a large stroke my Mother was transferred to NE Rehab. As her daughter, I was concerned that she’d never walk or be anywhere near the person she was prior. In a short time, they helped my Mother make so many major steps toward her recovery and living a life of independence. Everyone there was so kind and caring. They treated my Mother with respect and as though she were their very own family. That care and concern also extended to me, her caregiver. The facility was always clean and fresh. It was such a pleasant experience that we have returned for outpatient therapy. As I said, everyone there was amazing, but I’d like to give a special acknowledgement to the Unit 100 Inpatient PT, Steven, and Unit 100 Nurse, Paula K. They both went above and beyond for my Mother. They didn’t just treat her, they gave her hope and encouragement when she needed it most. I could go on and on about the staff and facility. I really could, but I’ll end by saying that I am eternally grateful to them all. Having personally worked in another local rehab facility, I’m so glad I chose to send my Mother to NE Rehab. Without question, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Negative experience: Really bad experience with Dr. Norton. I had to start seeing another neurologist at another facility for 1 year because of a change in insurance. The next year he refused to take me back as a patient when my insurance changed again. He also refused to tell me why he refused to see me again.

Negative experience: My wife's case worker was more interested in satisfying the insurance company than my wifes well being. She was discharged way too early and ended up back in the hospital. Once she is released from the hospital She has to go back to ANOTHER rehab facility. This case worker should be fired!

Fantastic experience: I'm going to the Rehab Center at the main hospital in Salem, NH for rehab after hip replacement surgery. Staff has been very friendly and helpful with scheduling. I've seen two different therapists who have worked together very well in coordinating my rehab. Facility is spacious with extensive equipment. Therapists ask a lot of questions and progress with exercises that continue to push me forward in a way that I wouldn't know to or be able to do on my own. I look forward to my sessions which are very helpful. Highly recommend!

She explained how and why the exercise needed to be completed. Andrew was equally helpful. I highly recommend their program. It is very effective.

Fantastic experience: My husband just completed a 10 day stay at Northeast Rehab in Salem NH post ankle surgery. Never have I seen a facility with such a kind and compassionate staff. He was treated with dignity and respect. The PT and OT programs are intensive, and designed to help the patient become independent. As a side note, I've never seen better looking food at a hospital. If you're ever in need of inpatient rehab, Northeast in Salem NH is the best possible place to go!

Fantastic experience: My pain issues were taken seriously at NRH. The therapist listened to me and has been working with me so I can gain strength and overcome some of my back pain.

Fantastic experience: I have had exceptional care , both inpatient and outpatient! The program, nurses, physical therapist, occupational therapists have all contributed to my recovery. Fantastic experience: The first most important issue was being able to get started quickly. Several other places wanted a six week out start date. My surgery required immediate initiation of PT and NE Rehab was able to accommodate me. Also the care is excellent.

Fantastic experience: I have just started rehab for extreme tightness in my hips and legs affecting my lower back and pain in my lower leg. So far so good. Erin, my instructor, is knowledgeable and personable. I feel we have a good plan in place. Also my wife also rehabbed here almost 2 years ago. Recovering from a stroke. Great results. She cannot say enough good things about this facility.

Negative experience: If you are unable to get out of bed by yourself, don't expect help from Evening Head nurse "Judy". I was in extreme need of needing to get to the bathroom, after hitting the call bell & waiting over 20 minutes I set the bed alarm off. "Judy" refused to help me. I was at NRH for 3 days & left against medical advise. Also. in reading my Medical Records "Judy" lied in her documentation. I would not recommend NRH to anybody if they needed nursing care.

Fantastic experience: Liz! That’s all I’ve got to say.

Negative experience: NE Rehab of SALEM, NH > Absolutely the WORST medical service!! The nurse staff is highly negligent. A stroke patient was left in a sitting position with no alarm or belting service, who then fell receiving a contusion to the head. The patient was NOT taken to the ER until 12 hours later and the family was NOT notified of the fall immediately. The patient was only transported to the ER after the DR on staff made a judgment call & when they could get transportation, that was available. According to the DR, the patient did not require 911 service because she was NOT bleeding externally & she knew her name!! Nursing Staff never knows what's going on, always an excuse... like " I wasn't the one here" OR "I just came on and haven't had a chance to review the patient". This place has given medical negligence a whole new perspective.....

Great personality ☺️ Just don't be fooled, the pureed chocolate eclair is pudding,the ground/pureed apple turnover is apple sauce..lol made me laugh

Liz was my therapist and she was fantastic. Explained each step of the process and why it was important. She is a rock star. I highly recommend NE Rehab.

Negative experience: Got referred here and had the referral sent 3 times to the fax number I confirmed yet they still say they don't have a referral. Wasted a month of pain trying to get in here. Highly would not recommend since they can't even handle a referral.

Negative experience: Dropped someone off for a procedure and upon returning to pick said person up I went inside and got my temp checked after showing my vaccine card. I proceeded to walk down the hall looking for Dr Kramer's office. I was RUDELY reprimanded for walking down the hall. Um.. really? How about a little compassion and common sense? I asked if I needed to go to the principals office.. lol.. The not so friendly nurse or whatever she told me I needed to leave because that wasn't funny. Really? It was hilarious. Wake up humans.. You're worried about me wearing a mask and checking my temp and not once in over 2 hours did I see ANYONE Clean door handles or railings.

Fantastic experience: The two experiences at rehab have been excellent and I would recommend anyone to register with Northeast Rehab for therapy after an operation. Will say more as the weeks go by but as of now all is great. Ray

Fantastic experience: I've benefitted from the professional, friendly and supportive staff for two separate injuries. One after two laminectomies years ago that got me back on my feet and as strong as I was before my severe back problems. And currently there recovering from a broken ankle. I highly recommend this rehab!

Fantastic experience: Two years ago I was treated my foot pain in NRH at Salem. at the beginning of treat, my foot was too pain to touch the floor after siting or sleeping a couple of hours, I was difficult to walk a distance for routing things. The lady using device and hand doing deep massages on my foot, and guide me doing a series of exercises. My doctor was very satisfied with the result of treatment. Currently, I am treated for my back pain caused by a heavy fall which had two fractures on rib and spine. My case is quite complicated. Two care providers treated me very patient. They do massages on my back and guide me doing a lot of exercised to stretch the muscles on my back, arm and legs. The NRH provide responsible treatment and the people working there are skilled professionals

Negative experience: The therapists are all great. The nurses and techs are all great. The people in the kitchen are great (the food is okay.) The doctors and administration leave quite a bit to be desired. I would estimate their intake notes were 70% correct. The 30% of errors were significant. NONE of the paperwork I needed was given to me when I was discharged, including the notes for the visiting nurse on HOW TO CHANGE MY WOUND DRESSING. My surgeon at Tufts did a first class job reattaching my severed feet. The doctors at Northeast decided they knew better than he did and came up with a plan for a 600% reduction in pain medication- in only 3 days. (Thankfully that has been resolved.) They also prescribed several drugs with serious interactions, which, thankfully, my pharmacist caught. If you are looking for strictly therapy, they're probably the best you're going to find, but be vigilant like a hawk when it comes to the administration and doctors. The staff all said its standard to cut patients cold turkey off pain meds upon discharge because the docs are so concerned about the regulations. Make sure you have a primary care doctor that actually cares about your well being and you should be fine.
