Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful outpatient PT clinic located in Fair Haven, very close to Yale. I came in for chronic lower back pain, and after having been to a couple of physical therapists before hand and having no real relief, Dr. Saif helped me immensely both in providing relief and developing a program to recovery that works for me. He takes the time to talk with and understand each patient, and really listens to what you have to say. He also offers walk-in hours which make it easy to come to the clinic whenever you can: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 4:30-6:00PM, Tuesdays, Thursdays 12:00-7:00PM, and Saturdays 7:00AM-12:00PM. His therapy is a combination of manual, stretching/exercises, and he offers dry needling as well. This is a great place to come after recovering from an injury or surgery, or for chronic pain! I cannot recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: I feel so lucky to have found this Physical Therapy center! Dr. Miraz is a miracle worker!! I fell 9 months prior to finding Pioneer Rehab. I've seen 5 Physical Therapists along my rehab journey last June. I gave each one's method a good shot & trusted their process. I haven't had a day/ night since my fall without back pain & hip pain. After just 2 or 3 sessions with Dr. Miraz, I woke up in surprise to have no back pain!! I wrote it on my calendar!!! I continue to go & reinforce the progress. I get information that helps me understand why I'm going at the pace I am, and feel comfortable to ask questions as well. To be clear, I am new to New Haven & Connecticut. I lived my entire adult life in Long Island. After 2 months of not so much improvement, I began to miss my old PT favorite spot in my home town on Long Island. I have worked hard since my 1st job & even being head of Safety Committees working my way up the chain in major grocery store doesn't make you impermeable to a back injury or strains being on your feet 50-60 hrs/wk for 20+ yrs. Unloading trucks, organizing & cleaning stock rooms, heavy lifting in general even done properly gave me extremely painfully stabbing plantar faciitis & bulging discs in lower spine. I was lucky to have found a gem of a PT center in NY called PKL Physical Therapy. I didn't realize how special their method was. After seeing many 4-5⭐️ "Physical Therapy" facilities in CT last year, I'm so glad Pioneer exists!!! I thought I was crazy. Nothing was working. I had to tap out after doing 1 light duty chore or sitting for more than an hour. I couldn't even go to the bathroom the same. I've had a month of 5-10 minute "PT" sessions with the Orthopaedic Group's own Physical Therapist doing adjustments &hands on muscle work, stretching, basically chiro moves & no where near the amount of progress I've had here with Dr. Miraz. Before that I tried Omni PT & my 1st experience was a chiropractor. I'm sure that method works for some back injuries, but I just laid on table & had 10-20 min of tens stimulation, some adjustments & that's it. I was in tremendous pain, & even on good days felt pain. Those adjustments helped, but I knew I needed the myofascial release + strength training with a personalized plan like the PT place I've went to over a decade on & off when I wentb through relapse in sciatica or the plantar faciitis when I was on Long Island. (PKL) I was at the end of my rope & considering staying with family for a month or 2 back in LI just to go back to a place I knew fixed me in the past- if it weren't for Dr. Mirza and Pioneer right here in New Haven.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about the quality of care that I received from Dr. SAIF. From the very first visit he laid out his plans for me for my rehabilitation. He not only showed me what to do, he explained the why behind the exercise and how it would benefit me. I came with a hand and shoulder issue and he addressed both during our sessions. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, he’s also very kind. He answers any questions and is always there personally to guide you in the correct form for each of the exercises. I would definitely return to him in a heartbeat for any future issues I may have.

Fantastic experience: The comprehensive (and quite affordable) physical therapy I have received from Dr. Saif Mirza for the past month has helped me better understand and cope with my near-constant back, neck, and arm pain. He is incredibly generous with his time, patiently explaining the rationale for every therapeutic activity and soliciting agreement before beginning. At each of my hour-long visits, he has asked me about how my pain has changed and which interventions I thought were particularly helpful. He is exceptionally kind, personable, and easy to understand (and he speaks 5 Indian languages!). The physical design of his office in Fair Haven -- with private, turquoise-painted patient rooms connected to an open, communal hallway with strength-building equipment -- combined with the facility's apparent Covid-safe cleanliness and his gentle affect, have made me feel comfortable even when I've been in excruciating pain.

Saif is friendly and professional and I am always confident he has my best interests and the optimal treatment plan in mind. I will come back for any injury that needs pt.

Fantastic experience: I tore my acl back in July of 2019, it was a painful experience, I came to Pioneer rehab to be able to start doing daily functions; like walking, driving. Dr.Saif has helped me through that process with the smile and hospitality. He sees the best in the patients and wants to give everyone the time and the ability to get back to there old self. I just had surgery in December of the same year and now within weeks he has me walking and stretching my leg to make sure I could walk without crutches and a brace. He has been by far the best Physical therapist I have been to. He pushes you like no one else, within the boundaries of course.
