Fantastic experience: Maresa and Angela are wonderful. I have only been visiting them a few weeks for PT and therapeutic massage for an injury and already feel improvement. They and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

Fantastic experience: Performance in Hamden is the best place a person can go for physical therapy. The patient care is astounding; I have been to many PT places and none of them even come close to comparing. The staff is amazing, from the receptionists to the aids to the therapists themselves. They have made such an impact in my recovery to the point where my surgeon was surprised. They are extremely knowledgable and intentional with their exercises. They know when to push and when to slow you down. Unlike many of the PT places I have been to in the past, Performance never made me feel stranded or unattended. They listened to my needs and goals and created a plan to get me there. Additionally, they were attentive to pain, making sure I was in as minimal as possible and was never pushing myself to hard. Renee and Matt have been the best physical therapists. They really have made an extremely significant difference in my recovery. The establishment itself is very clean, and there is always parking. If you are looking for a PT place, just go here, you will be happy that you did.

Fantastic experience: I'm an athlete and I've seen a lot of PTs over the years. Rich at Performance Optimal was by far the best I've ever seen. He was the first PT to treat me like a strong, capable athlete instead of treating me like I was weak and fragile. He used a multifaceted approach to treat my hip pain, which included weight training, mobility work, and stretching. A year later, I am able to keep up with my PT at home using the techniques Rich taught me. I'll definitely be going back the next time something flares up.

Performance offers a much different, more modern approach to healing over other therapists in the area. The staff is professional, encouraging, and very motivating. I'm comfortable with and confident in this team as far as my rehabilitation is concerned.
