Pivot PT- Newport News (Hidenwood)

Fantastic experience: I have used Pivot Therapy (Hidenwood) for pre-surgery and post-surgery of my bicep tear and rotator cuff issues over the last year or more. Reina, the lead physical therapist and clinic manager was excellent to work with. Both from the standpoint of therapy and overall culture and atmosphere. She sees everything and she keeps it fun. Brian and others on the staff were also excellent. I highly recommend Pivot and this site specifically. For me it was worth the extra drive time as I live in Hampton. I look forward to going back, but maybe not, as that means I have injured myself!

When I first came in, I was feeling defeated. My plantar fasciitis had gotten so bad that I didn't think my feet could ever improve. Simple tasks like getting out of bed in the morning had become a painful challenge, and I was always reaching for something to hold onto just to stand up. But after working with the amazing team at Pivot, I can confidently say my feet are so much better! Thanks to their expert care, I'm now able to get up in the morning without that sharp pain and without relying on anything to help me stand. The improvement I've seen in such a short time is nothing short of incredible, and I feel like a new person! Reina is an outstanding therapist with good experience about how to Progressively and safely mobilize my shoulder following recent shoulder replacement surgery. She is a very personable and caring therapist as well.

Fantastic experience: I have been a very frustrated and demanding 71 year old PT/OT patient. I suffered a stroke of my spinal cord back in March 2021, but it took my team of doctors six months to identify the cause of the multitude of serious symptoms I was attempting to live with. I went thru months of physical therapy during two separate time periods with Riverside and was not showing any improvement. Additionally, there was a lack of communication and no clear path to the goals I had established. I then researched other options and I was impressed with Pivot's credentials on paper. I have been with Pivot now for over a month and I am thoroughly impressed with my therapist (Andrew Ingell, DPT), who explains why and how the customized exercises he develops for me each week are designed to gradually work to achieving the goals I have set. The improvements I have made in my core strength and range-of-motion are exceptional in such a short period of time. I have to believe I would have been in much better shape now if my stroke had been identified right from the moment it started to damage my spinal cord and had I not wasted months on physical therapy that was not targeted to the goals I had established. Thanks to Pivot.

Fantastic experience: My therapist Kate is awesome. She is polite, and caring. She does her job with compassion, and makes sure that you are making progress, and knows how to push you to the limit without the pain. In the 8wks that I have been there, I see and feel the progress that I have made. Ken and his staff are always very polite.
