Pivot PT- Williamsburg

Fantastic experience: I've been to the Pivot on Ironbound Rd. in Wmbg twice for different issues. I love the friendly and helpful atmosphere here! Most recently, I worked with Jennifer Narron, who is an excellent physical therapist. She's knowledgeable and caring. She asks great questions to determine the exact nature of your problem, then designs a thorough program to address the issue. She's also willing to tweak the program as needed. She's taught me a lot about my particular issue and how to continue my home care once I'm released from PT. I give her 5 stars and an A+!

Fantastic experience: After 12 years of military physical therapy, I fought going to therapy at all because it was pointless. My doctor convinced me saying I could go off base to Pivot, so I scheduled my apts. THIS IS REAL PHYSICAL THERAPY!!! within 3 sessions of working with Tom on my bicep, I no longer have tingling in my fingers and I can do more things before I start feeling pain. Within 2 sessions of working with Jen on my ankle, I'm finding I have more mobility! While I know I still have awhile to get yet, I'm VERY impressed with the knowledge and equipment this facility has. They really take the time to work one on one with me and explain what I SHOULD be feeling. They also give exercises to do at home and provide bands to do the work with. If you stay committed to doing them, you'll see an improvement very quickly. Not to mention the staff in general is amazing and accommodating. I was nervous about bringing my little guy (8 months old at the time) but on the rare instances he gets fussy, they play and talk to him while I do my exercises! Nothing but greatness from this location!

Fantastic experience: I'm very pleased with PIVOT - Williamsburg. All my questions are being answered. They read patients very well. They're great at answering in layman's terms and easily transition to more technical medical terminology when appropriate. The professional staff is friendly and very helpful, and give excellent instruction and coaching. The admin staff are equally professional as well as thorough, efficient and cheerful.

Fantastic experience: I have been to other locations for physical therapy, where I would talk to the Physical Therapist on day one and then rarely see them again. Instead, assistants would tell me what exercises to do then walk away--so nobody would be there to tell me if I was doing something wrong and there was no one I could tell if something hurt. My experience at Pivot PT has been the exact opposite! I met with the Physical Therapist (Paul) on day one and expected not to see him much again. Instead, Paul has spent a lot of time with me on each session. If he walks away to help someone else, he then comes back to check with me. He has been mindful of my feedback (of exercises that cause discomfort for example) and is both friendly and professional. I feel that he is truly trying to help me. This is the best experience I have had with physical therapy and would definitely recommend Pivot PT!

Fantastic experience: I have only been to Pivot twice, a week apart, but I am very well pleased so far. Scheduling has met my changing timeline and my therapist Jennifer is personable and concerned about helping me.

Fantastic experience: My back issue was identified immediately and exercises demonstrated and prescribed. Only 4 exercises. Within in the first week, my back pain had subsided -- not disappeared, but certainly made tolerable. I certainly will continue to practice the exercises and have every reason to expect a full recovery! I was VERY grateful to find that I didn't have to wait to get a doctor's appointment to get a referral to PT, but could get started right away.

Fantastic experience: The therapist really listened to me. He combined his physical assessment with my concerns and my goals to create a plan of action. What he does during therapy combined with my faithfully doing my exercises at home is creating the results I need.

I’m getting stronger with great direction and examples to follow. John especially listens and has not only shown how to improve exercise Routines but also I’ve felt educated in how my body is working and why. Most of all how to progress towards greater health. Fantastic experience: My main Physical Therapist---ROBYN BERKLERY does NOT deserve 5 stars. Unfortunately, 5 is as high as they go. if possible, she deserves at least 8 or 9+!! Over the years I have had about 6 or 7 PT from WI and here in VA----hands down---she is the best. Period. She took my pathetic pain descriptions from my foot, knee, hip and lower back--- (yes,---I have all those at once!) and was able to decipher and implement a plan that IMMEDIATELY--- I mean after 1 session--- an improvement of at least 80%. I could walk out with very little pain and a sense of optimism that she was the right one to help navigate me to better back and walking health. She is what I call "a keeper"!! Bryce Hinsch

Ron and David were so fun and great with my kids, and they've taught her different exercises and stretches in very fun ways - lots of board games involved! Fantastic experience: Have been going to the Ironbound location for almost 2 years for aqua therapy. The therapists changed from Kat to Meg to Greg but they were all incredible. It's sad when they leave but the transition always goes flawlessly. I'm waiting for Worker's Comp to renew my therapy but it has been such a gift to my damaged back. I actually get a full workout in the pool without the hard impact of land therapy. Pivot has transitioned through the Covid-19 crisis with great devotion to protection their patients and continuing to provide top notch Physical Therapy. Angie, Theresa and Leeanne at the front desk are superb coordinators and manage the difficulties of getting insurance coverage with uninterested providers. Absolutely 5 star provider!

Fantastic experience: I have never written a review for anything but this place truly deserves a 5 star rating. I went in with a frozen shoulder and being a nurse, asked a lot of questions. Those I worked with were VERY knowledgeable and gave explanations for everything. The front staff is super friendly. I often came in earlier than my appointed time (due to my schedule) and they worked with me. My therapists were fabulous and are truly dedicated to their profession. If you need physical therapy, this is definitely the place to go to!

Fantastic experience: I don't usually write reviews but I feel this location deserves one. PT Tony is an absolute miracle worker. He is very dedicated and knowledgeable to his treatment of his patients. I began seeing him in October 2018 for neck issues and Tmj. I had been suffering from chronic pain that effected my every day life since whiplash that occurred in October 2017 and Tmj that began January 2017. I was unable to turn my head in any direction and unable to open my mouth to eat. It was debilitating. When I first reached out to Pivot for my initial appointment i spoke with the kindreceptionist, Tiffany. Upon explaining to her my symptoms she recommended Tony. At my initial exam, Tony assessed my movements and went over my treatment plan. Any questions that I had he throughly explained to make sure I was comfortable. My treatment consisted of manual manipulations, exercise which assistants Bailey and Brian, as well as dry needling at the very end. After months of hard work and dedication from Tony and his staff, I can say that I'm fully functional and able to enjoy life again. I would recommend this location to anyone they are a group of wonderful, dedicated people.

Fantastic experience: The bestest of the best!! I see John Mitrovic and his PTA Chanel, plus their assistantTrevor. These guys are kind, funny, and exceptional at their jobs. John is especially “magical” when it comes down to knowing exactly what each individual patient needs! From what I can tell, and from what I hear, the rest of the PT staff has a happy and satisfied following as well! And lastly, but by far not the least, the front office staff is superb - kind, efficient and super pleasant!
