Fantastic experience: This was my first experience with aqua therapy, & it was very positive. Age & injuries had created pain & mobility issues with my back to the point I reached out for help medically. I am so grateful I did. My experience both in the pool & the office resulted in a much stronger & less painful back. Therapists Richard & Greg were knowledgeable, kind & patient throughout the time they worked with me. My pain & mobility were helped significantly through their actions. I learned a lot of stretches & movements which enhanced my daily life. Water continues to be a big help in staying active, & relatively pain-free. I have met some wonderful folks while using local YMCA pools for exercise - Many who are dealing with the same aging issues. I highly recommend Sentara Aqua Therapy to all. It has been life-changing for me.

Fantastic experience: I had two knee replacements and spinal fusion surgery between June 2023 and now. After my first surgery, I chose the Sentara Therapy Center at the Blocker Y for my physical therapy based on a friend's positive experience. I was not disappointed and chose them again after my next two surgeries. Greg did my evaluations all three times and is very knowledgeable and personable. Hanna was assigned as my therapist after my first surgery and I was so pleased with her technique, knowledge, and personality I requested her as my therapist after my next two surgeries. There is an assistant therapist named Talia who is also very personable and knowledgeable. These three people are amazing and patient-oriented and made my visits to the Blocker Sentara Therapy Center always enjoyable. Hanna's concern for the success of my therapy was first and foremost. I have recommended this facility on several occasions.

Fantastic experience: This place.. What can say? This was my first time at this location the entire staff.. Ms. Jasmine, the talented impressive swimmer who took the pictures during the application process for the "Welcome Weekend" Ms. Queen stole the show and kept it.. Love, love her work ethic and the experience she brought to the table.

Fantastic experience: This was my husband first session, and it was AMAZING. He was comfortable with every one and everything. We will be coming Back.

Negative experience: It was my first PT experience and let me tell you i did get better but definitely not pain free… i never felt welcome at this location. Greg was the only person who actually cared about my pain and the moral part of this process … my treatment was a 6 weeks period and what disappointed me most was that Hanna who i was meeting with at least once a week on my very last session asked what my problem is and where my pain is!! I was shocked and i was glad to not go back any more. That for me is a proof that she never cared how my process is going.
