Fantastic experience: Dry needling is a therapy for fibromyalgia. This treatment has helped me more than any traditional therapy. Dry needling gets right in the triggers and gives immediate relief and over a period of time has begun to minimize the trigger points. Aldrin educates and is excellent.

Fantastic experience: I have suffered from sciatica and herniated disc issues from a fall occurring years ago. I was referred to Sentara Leigh Therapy Center in 2014. I love the care and patience this facility provides its clients. I appreciate the motivation to move forward and return to daily activity that boosts confidence that each Therapist takes the time to help patients envision creating an atmosphere of holistic healing. I recently had fusion surgery and I know that with Sentara Therapy Center- Orthopedics & Sports Medicine I am in good hands. I have and will continue to refer others to Sentara Therapy Center. They treat you like family.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful facility and even better treatmrnt. From the reception staff to the therapists themselves…. professional, knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. While recooperating they made my twice a week appts worth it. I highly recommend and will not let my physicians send me anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I first completed hand therapy successfully after having surgery on my arm. It was a good experience and I am able to perform most every activity that I did previously. I then realized that my knees needed help after watching other patients and therapists working. I was referred by the had surgeons office to a knee specialist. I had not injured my knees in the fall that broke my arm, but I was close to bone on bone in my knee joints. The knee therapy went well and I started with several different therapists who were all very good. The bulk of my therapy then was taken over by Alexis. I asked for exercises to do on my own to keep up with the progress I had made. I was given many different alternatives so as not to get bored with just a few and bands to work on at home. I am confident that I will be able to maintain my current flexibility or even improve it with the knowledge I have been given. I recommend this facility to neighbors and other friends because I observed different issues and how the patients progressed. The respect and care people received was the best!

Fantastic experience: Went to Sentara Therapy for my shoulder issues and Holly, Faisal, and Jen were amazing to work with. Dealing with the pain is obviously no fun task, but everyone at the facility made sure I was comfortable and taken care of. Couldn't be more grateful for how my recovery has been!

Fantastic experience: My PCP referred me for neck therapy and I had the pleasure to work with Jennifer and Daniel. They were both very thorough with explaining to me about my therapy. Both very helpful and friendly. I recommend everyone that needs physical therapy to this facility.

They made me comfortable as a client and treated me like I was family. The therapy program tailored for me is one I can continue long after my sessions are complete. I highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I've been through several facilities, diagnoses and treatments for my arm and shoulder over the past two years without any signs of improvement. I started feeling improvements with Aldrin after just one week, and after a full month I'm finally able to start working into my old exercises again. Very excited about my experience here so far!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough positive things about my experience at Sentara Therapy Center Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, particularly Dr. Shaikh. From the initial visit following a shoulder surgery to the conclusion of PT, I received outstanding care. He educated me on the recovery process and gave me a spot-on timeline of what to expect. He was able to expertly diagnose sources of issues when I relayed pains or tightness and fix them in short order (he's a wizard with deep tissue manipulation and perfectly identified exercises). Even after my PT ended, I recently had a setback and went back on my own dime to have him take a look (and already feeling better). I cannot recommend Dr. Shaikh enough (and frequently do - including having him help my daughter with an issue). 6 stars out of 5.
