Fantastic experience: I went to Dr. O upon the recommendation of my Dr who completed stem cell transplants on my shoulder and back. He specifically searched for a PT who utilized shock therapy for my lower back. The therapy with Dr O completed the healing of both my back and shoulder! I have been to many PT's in the past and found them so repetitive and boring. They would have me do the same exercises at the appts as they had me do at home. Dr. O has the latest technology in utilizing the Newbie and shock wave therapy in addition to many varied exercises. In addition, he is very supportive, listens and modifies therapy as needed. He thoroughly explains what he is doing and the reason why. He makes therapy interesting, educational and enjoyable! I actually looked forward to our sessions! I highly rec. him.

Fantastic experience: IF YOU WANT CARING, SKILLED CARE, LOOK NO FURTHER! I left two other pathetic physical therapy centers before finding this place. I’d get maybe 15 minutes with a PT and the rest of the time working with inept, untrained assistants who were assigned to at least one or two others making it impossible to monitor you. Santiago and Ashley are excellent physical therapists who are devoted to your recovery. They watch you closely making sure you are doing your exercises accurately. They explain everything and have an app with videos to use for your homework! There are no untrained staff wandering around. I am delighted with the progress I am making in their capable hands!! Fantastic experience: My experience with Dr Osorio has been extremely beneficial. I'm the type of person that is skeptical about everything and never believes anything. I am doing so much better than I was and I keep seeing progress. I use a walker and since I have been doing this treatment, I need it less and less. I actually see a time that I won't need it at all. The thing that is great is that I have MS and I am still seeing this kind of progress. If anyone is doubting the benefits of physical therapy, please give it a try, the results are undeniable.

Fantastic experience: I started here for a work comp injury for my Rt Shoulder and later I hurt my Rt knee playing Pickle Ball, tearing a ligament. Dr O was doing such a great job on my shoulder, I added physical therapy for my knee with him. He has been able to get my Rt knee and leg back in shape as well as my Lt leg too, to keep me stable. Negative experience: I highly recommend you AVOID this practitioner. I wish I had. I had a horrible experience with Dr. Osario. He was helping me with upper back strain. He preformed a chiropractic adjustment on me and severely injured my rib. I had to go to urgent care the pain was so severe. After doing an XRAY, the doctor at Urgent Care said it was a severe bruise or possibly broken/cracked rib but I'd need a CT scan (very expensive) to find out if it was broken and the treatment was the same. It took over a year to somewhat recover and I still have pain. For 3 months I was unable to walk vigorously, since it hurt to breathe deeply, or swim since I could not engage in full range of motion without pain. I still have pain almost 2 years later when I cough.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Santiago and staff are very thoughtful and extremely informative and passionate about getting every patient back to a healthy and pain-free life. BTSD will use every measure and means to make every patient feel comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I have seen several Physical Therapists in my lifetime. Dr Osorio is the BEST. I had severe lower back pain, Sciatica, etc Dr Osorio creates a plan that works for each of his patients. He expects you to do some of these exercises at home after your biweekly session in order to improve each week. If there is a problem with the exercise he always creates a new plan. I appreciate the fact that he listened to what and where you were having pain. I occasionally have minor bouts of pain but I know what exercises to help alleviate it. Thank you Dr Osorio!

Fantastic experience: I visited BreakingThrough SDP because of chronic shoulder pain caused by heavy lifting over the years (I am 66). My daughter (a chiropractor) met with Dr. Osorio and was very impressed with his program. She recommended I sign up with him. My experience at BreakingThrough has been all good. Dr. Osorio addressed my posture and shoulder pain. He had me perform many different arm strengthening and shoulder/arm movements with use of elastic bands to help improve my range of motion and arm and back muscle tone to improve my upper body strength, posture and arm muscle tone. (A side benefit of this has been lessening of old lady upper arm waggle. Yay.) The exercises I learned from Dr. Osorio are a variety of simple, gentle movements with restrictive bands, easily done at home and very effective for my goal to improve and maintain my upper body strength. Thank you Dr. Osorio! 3/20/2024 following up on my last comment, I tripped and fell while tidying up our garage in January and landed square on my shoulder. So painful. I gave it a couple weeks to heal, but eventually gave in and went to 8-2-8 urgent care 4171 Oceanside Blvd in Oceanside, CA where X-ray revealed I fractured the bone in my upper arm. 8-2-8 referred me to Dr. Erik Stark, an osteopath in Carlsbad. Dr. Stark recommended I wear a sling for several weeks rather than surgery. Over the course of 2.5 months I had 2 or 3 follow up visits and additional x-rays to monitor healing process. I’m nearly “there” and looking forward to physical therapy at BreakingThrough with Dr. Osorio. His assistant is very kind and helpful with scheduling, and gathering and submission of info for their mandatory records. Dr. Osorio is consistently attentive to visual clues relating to injury and response to treatments. He seems to tailor certain treatments for each injury. I’ve discovered over the years that physical treatment for injury is not like a gentle massage. It can be painful, but the end result helps to feel better overall and work towards a point of minimal pain or freedom from pain. When injuries are more than a bruise or a strain it’s important to engage with my therapist as well as my Osteopath and be clear about my pain. That way we can all do a better job of helping the healing process. I find Dr. Osorio to be creative and determined to help me understand what works to alleviate my aches and pains even if treatment hurts a bit (around the tendons—ouchie!) while working on strengthening my framework to stay healthy and safe. Fantastic experience: My PCP referred me to Breaking Through PT because I was having pain in my right knee from weight training exercises. Dr. Osorio assessed my situation and found that when I was performing certain exercises I wasn't keeping my knee aligned properly making it twist and causing me pain. He suggested some exercises to help strengthen my leg and ankle muscles to better support my knee and this has helped tremendously. I was also taking pain medication 'as needed' but no longer need to take it because now I know if I feel pain I'm not in proper alignment and need to correct my positioning. Dr. Osorio's treatment has helped me step up my workouts and have a stronger mind-muscle connection.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Osorio was very helpful to me as I have been dealing with neuropathy. He tried a variety of modalities including Neubie, Blood Flow Restriction and exercises to reduce the edema in my foot and relieve the tingling and pain that comes with neuropathy. He is flexible, encouraging and an easy person to work with on physical issues.

Fantastic experience: I was a patient for summer of 2022 with BreakingThrough San Diego Physical Therapy in North County San Diego, Oceanside. I had should rotator cuff injury. Dr Santiago provided physical therapy to increase my mobility range of motion to allow me to be more active and prepare for a triathlon. Very personal care and service is what stands out with Dr. Santiago and his staff. I appreciate his experience, knowledge, skills, and professionalism. The one-on-one service is better than any other physical therapy practice I have been a patient at over my long years of athletic activities. Use of new therapy techniques, stimulation, scraping, and cupping all combined for great results. Fantastic experience: Dr Osorio and Shelby really helped me in my recovery of badly bruised ribs. Their experience and knowledge is on top, I highly recommend them. The combination of the Neubie electrical stimulation (to re-educate muscles and change neurological patterns) and the more traditional physical therapy was really helpful. The pain went down and my range of movement improved very quickly for ribs issue! And I learned how to move better to stay healthy on the long run. Thank you

Positive experience: The reason I'm giving the 4 rating was because I was unable to be helped and was frustrated with feeling like I wasn't pushing hard enough or trying hard enough. After finishing unsuccessful treatment I found a new doctor who has diagnosed me with a rare condition called CRPS or complex regional pain syndrome. I know you have had a lot of success and the staff is extremely kind, it just didn't work for me.

Fantastic experience: Very professional and fun at the same time. Friendly atmosphere, individualized attention. Only a few patients at a time so you really feel cared for. It’s a huge difference compared to a giant roomful of patients with a few therapists and many aides as my experience was previously in other physical therapy offices previously. Fantastic experience: I was unable to sleep at times due to the pain in my shoulder. I was not sure what to expect going into physical therapy, but I was excited. A few months of PT with Dr. Santiago and I have no more, pain I can sleep comfortably and I can actually do my workouts. I am so happy!!

He is very knowledgeable in the anatomy and took the time to educate me on the cause of my neck pain and the best treatment approach. Fantastic experience: After a car accident, my doctor recommended dr. Santiago for physical therapy. And let me just say that they welcome everyone with opened hands. He gets to the point and works hard and expect you to give it your 100 percent to recover fast. His staff is amazing Cynthia is one of the best reception ladies I’ve met! Always on top of her A game! Like I said I was broken. When I got there, and Santiago made me feel like it was all going to be ok. That’s when I knew he I was in the right place. Best physical therapist I know in Oceanside. Though he is tough, but at the end of the day he wants what’s best for you. After weeks you just become so close... it’s gonna be hard not seeing him.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Osorio is very thorough in his assessment. I had been to 3 other physical therapists in the last 4 years for the same issue, each lasting 12 visits over 6 weeks; and none of those took care of my problem. My pain was daily and debilitating. Dr. Osorio found the real source and I was pain free after the first visit. The difference here is the personalized treatment you get from the doctor at each visit, not just going through the motions or exercises with a technician (like at other PTs). Dr. Osorio also has state of the art equipment and treatment modalities that I have not had anywhere else. Hands down the best PT!

Fantastic experience: Came to BreakingThrough SD PT in 2020 via a referral from a friend and I've had great success. I had a bad injury to my left achilles in 2012 that ended up with me getting a transplanted tendon in its place. The traditional PT didn't do much for me and ended up limping along and no strength in my lower left leg. Dr. Osorio introduced me to some great exercises and methods to get me back on track. My left calf had severe muscle atrophy and I was unable to lift my left heel off the ground. Since PT started with him, I've seen fantastic results and increase in strength. I had resigned myself to feeling lucky that I could walk and now I'm back to jogging and doing physical activities that I was not able to do before I started PT. Dr. Osorio is very attentive to my treatment and I'm very grateful for my friends referral. Thank you BreakingThrough San Diego Physical Therapy!

After some exercises he told me in clear words the problem that we had to work on and improve. Fantastic experience: I started seeing Dr. Santiago Osorio in July 2020. I was referred to him by my podiatrist because of severe ankle pain. I was very impressed and would recommend him for three big reasons. 1. The fact that we were/are in a pandemic and how much care he and his office staff took to keep me and his team safe. 2. Dr. Santiago is really good at what he does and he really helped me. He has a ton of knowledge and techniques that he uses to accomplish the goals you set with him. 3. He invested in good equipment/tools, technology and learning so he could start an innovative practice. Fantastic experience: Santiago is a brilliant PT and this clinic is amazing. Clean and professional. I’ve never been to a clinic where I actually had one on one care from a PT. Check out the machine for strengthening with the tourniquet. I got a heck of a workout with light weights and without sending my arthritis into any pain.
