Adam recently joined the Proactive team in January 2022 having just moved to Colorado from New Jersey. He attended the University of Delaware for his undergrad and graduated from Emory & Henry’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in 2021. Adam enjoys treating first responders and overhead athletes with future career goals for certifications in dry needling and orthopedic specialties. In his free time, Adam likes to ski, hike or play with his dog.
Taya is a North Carolina native with a passion for any outdoor activity and enjoys working with all age groups. Taya received her doctorate in physical therapy at Regis University in 2008 and has worked in outpatient orthopedics ever since. She takes pride in continuing education receiving certifications in dry needling, strength and conditioning, and orthopedic manual therapy providing her with many tools to manage impairments in the human body. Her approach to treatment is hands-on with an emphasis on strength and joint mobility home exercise programs for sustained relief. Taya enjoys the Colorado sun most weekends and can be found on a trail hiking or snowboarding when she is not traveling and exploring with her 10-year-old son.
Blood Flow Restriction Training, also abbreviated as BFRT, is an innovative physical therapy treatment our therapists are utilizing that helps patients achieve greater strength gains while lifting lighter loads, thereby reducing the overall stress on the musculoskeletal system.

Fantastic experience: This review is not one of those spam reviews that tend to be the norm anymore. In the year and a half I have not been asked, begged, or offered any discount to leave this review. The five stars is solely based on them earning it. This place is truly amazing. Rachel, Taya, Sarah and everybody else is phenomenal. I have been going off and on for a year and a half due to several issues. They have always been amazing. They always work with scheduling issues I may have and issues that may arise. Taya especially is a great manager. Last year there was a mistake that was made. Instead of being a “typical” medical type place and telling me it’s my problem even though I didn’t make the mistake, Taya took care of it. No argument, no pleading my case. Just I’m sorry I will take care of it. As long as these ladies are here, this will be the only place I come for PT.

Negative experience: I had a great initial experience here. Unfortunately I fell off of the schedule due to other medical concerns and was unable to reschedule through the receptionist. I left messages with the front desk on three occasions with no follow up from anyone at the office and ultimately chose to go with another PT provider.

(Aurora location) they pay attention to their customers and Ty to learn each one’s motivation and how to push them to their limits, but not overdoing it.. they take the time to get to know each individual and don’t make you feel like your just business, they make try and make you feel like family and your important which is rare with physical therapy facilities (been to 10+ over the last 10 years and will do everything I can to keep coming here)

Negative experience: Continued to charge a $77 copay each visit even though my out of pocket has been met and I no longer owed the company money. They then denied me services for not being able to afford the $77 I didn’t owe them. They would always blame their billing department or their front desk secretary who seems to be non existent. Glad money is the playing factor in healing after major hip surgery.

Fantastic experience: I have noticed a vast improvement over the short amount of time that I have been coming here for my spinal injury. I have improved flexibility and a lot less pain. I have gone to other physical therapists before and did not have this much improvement in 3 months as I had in 3 weeks here! Taya and her staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place to anybody seeking an alternative method to surgery to deal with their pain or for others that have had surgery and are needing physical therapy afterwards.

Fantastic experience: Great staff! Everyone is super friendly and a pleasure to work with. Taya took excellent care of my tennis elbow. Walked me through all the steps and explained how each exercise / treatment would benefit / shorten my recovery time. And it worked!! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Have been using Pro Active or sister locations for 20 or more years. They helped both of our kids thru high school and college sports. Wes has done an incredible job on my injury (neck). Dennis have is a second opinion on a knee issue with our daughter and repaired in 2 weeks what a Dr wanted to do surgery on!! There assistants and front desk employees are just as friendly and good at there jobs too! I highly recommend them and suggest you get a second opinion from them before surgery!

Fantastic experience: I am currently undergoing post surgery physical therapy at Denver Physical Therapy. Meagan and Ned are very detailed and truly care about my recovery. I was very discouraged before starting my therapy here. If I can be honest, I had tears if hope during one of my appts. I highly recommend this facility.
Fantastic experience: I have been on physical therapy on and off for over a year now and just started up again using Denver Physical Therapy and by far this is the best therapy I have ever received. I had total hip replacement and within 3 weeks, I am able to walk. I am doing so good, even my Doctor is amazed. Meaghan O'Donnell and Ned are very good at what they do. Matter of fact, the whole team is great. It starts with great customer services from the moment you call to when you walk in the door. If you are needing physical therapy, I highly recommend this place. I normally do not write reviews but this place truly deserves this review.

Fantastic experience: Best physical therapy practice in Denver. The staff is incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I had an awful experience at a different PT center and was referred to this place and I am ecstatic that i was! In just 2 visits my knee is so much better! Yippie!
Negative experience: If I could give a zero star review I would! I made several appointments with this office and the day of my therapy one hour before I was supposed to get treatment the office called me to cancel my appointment because the physical therapist was out that day. Same thing happened the next time I was scheduled. Today I called and booked my appointments for the next two weeks and I got a call back saying that the therapist again was not available at the times and days that their own office gave me the appointment for. I don’t understand what type of business this place is if they can’t all be on the same page as the rest of their staff memebers. It’s very unorganized and greatly inconveniences the patient that needs to come and get services. The manner of the staff is very careless and the service is unprofessional and simply sucks. This place needs to get it together and educate the staff better and perhaps get therapist that can actually show up to work at at least have replacements in case of emergencies so the clients should not have to be cancelled on. Told my friends and family to never use this unprofessional practice.
