Negative experience: My son got a referral for speech therapy and was referred to this office. Originally I received a TEXT (not even a phone call) stating that there was a 6 MONTH WAIT LIST!!! And that if I wanted to wait I’d have to text back, now fast forward *almost right to the 6 month mark* they finally call me saying that there is an opening and set an appointment for Monday 11/25 at 11 and that I would receive a confirmation text the day before (I did not, my first red flag). I show up WITH MY SON! To this location only for the girl at the front desk to ask for my appointment time and look puzzled (second red flag) I wait at least 10 minutes before she finally responds and tells me that there is no appointment. While I’m in the office, after both my son and I have waited at least 30 minutes by now for that same girl to get her stuff together, I receive a call FROM HORIZON THERAPY WHILE IM PHYSICALLY STANDING IN THE OFFICE, and they tell me that his referral expired and he couldn’t be seen. They then proceed to tell me that “well if the girl is there she can see him really quick and see if the referral can get extended” (this would mean that my son would’ve had to have been seen those 6 months and that would have been his reevaluation to see if he needed more therapy!!!!!! BIG NO!!!!!!). Clearly this office doesn’t know what they’re doing, and if you’re actually concerned for your child DO NOT LET YOUR DOCTORS REFFER YOU TO THESE OFFICES!!!!! They were not helpful in any way, didn’t help my son, and gave me no information on how I could actually resolve the problem that they caused because they did not see my son immediately as they were supposed to instead of putting him on a WAITLIST for 6 MONTHS!!! Parents advocate for your children and do not come here. This is also not including the multiple calls I made to see if there were other openings or if they could prioritize my son since he’s waited so long already.

Negative experience: I just got referred to this place yesterday. I called 8 times to just make an appointment. Each time I called I was placed on an 10-30 min wait. I tried messaging them because on while I was waiting it said to message them at a number. I messaged and NO reply. It shouldn’t be this hard to just get and APPOINTMENT. called my sons pediatrician today to get another referral. Not working with you guys.

Negative experience: even if my insurance will cover 100%, they made me pay $75 on the day of visit despite asking them ahead of time if I need to pay for anything (although I knew it was covered 100%). They said nothing and surprise! they made me pay. And now 2 months later, still have not received a refund.

Negative experience: Believe me they have a 3 rating for a reason. All bad!

Fantastic experience: I have received excellent therapy service from Kim Kingsland on my hand, and have gained strength and grasp abilities because of her instruction! She is quite professional and knowledgeable and continues to check my progress and changes things as needed for better results…truly cares about my well being and healing! Just don’t judge a book by its cover (like I did the first day) because the office itself is cramped and “basic” but the service I got from Kim is what mattered, and I’d recommend her all day long!

Negative experience: The personal is rude not customer oriented it feels like they are doing you a fabor by taking to absolutely no cara for custome sad I would not recommend this place horrible attention

Negative experience: Refusal to switch reference over to different provider , although they could not provide services in a timely manner. No help for the last 11 months.

Fantastic experience: You feel very welcome and comfortable as you walk in. The front desk is very welcoming. The place is very clean all the time. My doctor was amazed on how well my hand is doing. Kim does great work. She has made my scar disappear. Thank you everyone for your help.

Negative experience: Never got a chance to be seen here I scheduled my son's first OT evaluation here and they rescheduled me and sent me a confirmation for my appointment when I showed up they said I wasn't on the schedule and had to be rescheduled. It was an inconvenience for me cus I had to take time off work and drove from Riverside to make my appointment just to be told I couldn't be seen. I tried to talk to the manager Jennifer who was really rude and show little to no compassion and told me I had to be rescheduled she literally turned away as I was mid talking. I have never been treated like this anywhere! While I was in the waiting room I did notice another person frustrated with the front desk receptionist they seem to not value their patients and it could be cus I'm on medical but I felt so awful that they did this too me I felt discriminated. I was already rescheduled and they messed up so I didn't have trust in them anymore and fear for anyone trying to go here. This was my experience I hope this helps. It made me

Negative experience: I am so disappointed in this place. Both the Rancho Cucamonga and San Bernardino locations. Last month my son was randomly discharged for OT services. The therapist excused was that he was not retaining anything. Ahe constantly ended sessions early because of his behavior. Of course he understood that his negative behavior would end up being reinforced by ending sessions early. Today my husband tell me my son was discharged from speech and the same excuse was given. Pat told him that she had spoken to me about it and that it should not come as a surprised. Absolutely never had a conversation about discharging my son and it does come as a surprise because this conversation never happened.

Fantastic experience: Por primera vez tuve que recibir terapia en mi mano, y recibí un exelente trabajo de recuperación gracias ala doctora terapista Kim OT, estoy agradecido por su excelente trabajo, la recomiendo al 100%. Gracias doctora Kim!!!!

Negative experience: We waited almost 8 months to finally start my sons speech therapy, and a couple weeks after him starting they reduced the therapy time from 1 hour to only 30 minutes. Bare in mind my child is only 2, and obviously needs to play before going to a room for therapy, by the time he goes in the room. Half of the time is already gone and he only has like 15 min sessions. Our therapist tried putting him in the room as soon as the 30 minutes started and he obviously didnt want to, he had a complete meltdown. Children that are that small learn by playing and exploring, you cant force them in a room without any play time. He was doing great, and progressed so much when he was doing the full hour. Ever since they shortened the time to 30 minutes there has been no improvements. I requested 1 hour but was instead offered two 30 minutes sessions on different days. If you like to waste your time driving for your child to learn nothing. Seriously, try to find another place that puts customers and children learning before profits. They obviously did that to charge more to insurances, so unfair and genuinely unmoral. The owner does not care about the kids or their learning development. Response: Thank you for your response, you prove my point. I get what I pay for? My insurance pays, i dont know what they pay for the service, but evidently you have a problem with my insurance and the amount they pay. Which is illegal to dicrimnate patients based on their insurance.[ Insurance-based discrimination is defined as the unfair treatment that patients receive from health care providers because of the type of insurance they have. For example, physicians may sort patients by their insurance status, serving patients with public insurance differently than other patients.] So you reduced my childs therapy time because of the insurance I have. Ok, yeah, you really dont care about the childrens needs.

Fantastic experience: I was set up with Kim K. 6 session of occupational therapy. From day one I was treated with a very professional therapist. She listened to my questions and was helpful in every way. Kim understood the pain and discomfort I was having and worked with me.

Negative experience: Save your self the head ache. This place has zero regard for your time. I call in to schedule for occupational therapy, that is pre-approved & they keep me on hold, literally for 20 mins just to tell me someone will call me back. I will try to schedule in person when I go in & receptionist can not help me. She will say scheduling department does not allow her to mess with their schedule. Mind you that answer took another 20 mins of my time sitting in the waiting room. Not including my drive time. Their system is so antiquated, it’s truly a shame.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service and very unprofessional front desk Maria, she moves scheduled appointment around without informing clients that their appointment time has changed or even cancelled, you go in on time for your appointment and then you figure out that you’re appointment is gone, check my phone never received a call or any voicemails left. Seriously! what are you doing, this is very unprofessional and peoples time is important, it happened more than once. Then promised to get calls back which I never got. Management look into your scheduling team it’s a whole mess.

Negative experience: My daughter use to receive physical therapy and occupational therapy 6 years ago and we never had problem with the therapists the problem was the communication when you missed a session they took her out of the schedule and when the therapist is absent they don’t inform you . now I tried to schedule a physical therapy assessment for my son since he was seven months he is 11 months now , they don’t answer the phone and it will send you to a voice mail or it ask you to text them witch I don’t think it works if you want to schedule an appointment. finally after I did schedule the appointment he had the evaluation done and they told us it will take three weeks after they sent the report to the insurance to get approved so after 3 weeks I started calling again they said they have no response yet so I called again and it turned out that they never sent the report and the therapist is on vacation so I give it some time and it’s over 2 months ago since he had the evaluation done and I haven't heard back and haven't had a follow up so I've been calling for a couple of days but they never returned my phone calls finally after I spoke with someone she said he is approved and she transferred me to someone else to schedule an appointment but they never pick up so I called again and the same lady told me it looks like they are in phone call and she will leave them a message to call me back but they never did I called again the following day and the lady told me you can’t schedule him for PT and he is going to be on the waiting list from 5 to 6 months this is ridiculous I’m Very upset and disappointed this information need to be said from the beginning if you can’t treat new patients why you accept them my baby need early intervention waiting another 6 months not going to help him .

Fantastic experience: My son has been receiving occupational therapy for a hand injury. We have been seeing Mrs Kim Kingsland. She has been very helpful from the beginning. She always listens to our concerns and answers our questions. We have been seeing her for a few months now, and I can say she is a great OT. I have witnessed her taking great care of her other clients as well, and always going above and beyond. She’s always such a joy, and time passes by so fast. We usually talk about food and life. We are definitely going to miss her when our sessions stop.

Negative experience: Este lugar es muy malo te descriminan a tu hijo si no sabe inglés en este lugar discriminaron a mi hija por no saber Ingres bien elle tiene 5 años y le negaron una speech evaluación ahora ya tengo un abogado y los demandaré por discriminación a un menor de edad y negarle un servicio por su lenguaje so please don’t go to this place

Positive experience: Good people. Can be very busy. Lots of kids around for speech therapy. Tiffany at the front desk handles scheduling and works from ... 9am? to 3pm. Schedule your appointment at least a week in advance if you want certain days or times. The PT Brian? Ryan? He's pretty cool, laid back but seems to care about his patients' well-being. Shirley the PT is a little older so she can have some difficulty adapting quickly to your needs. It's best to be very clear and willing to ask questions if you don't understand something or want more clarification. But she too seems to care for her patients, as a heath care professional ought to, so she's okay.

Fantastic experience: Hello, my name is Miranda I’m here due to a hand injury. Currently I’m seeing Kim Kingsland, (OT) I wanted to write this review dedicated to her. First day I met Kim she made me feel empowered and reassured that she is going to help me and be there every step of the way in my rehabilitation and improve my hand dexterity/function. During each session I always learn something new about my hand. Thankfully to Kim and her in depth knowledge and strategies, I was able to advocate for myself to receive more help. We have fun in therapy, we talk about food, life and the time goes by super fast. I appreciate Kim being my OT, she is awesome, always provides different approaches on how to improve each session. I would not let anyone touch my hand, unless it is Kim Kingsland from Horizon Therapy in Rancho Cucamonga. Thank you Kim for being such an amazing, caring Occupational Therapist. ❤️.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been receiving Occupational therapy from Miss Kim K for about 8 months now. Miss Kim is patient, knows how to speak to my daughter who is nonverbal and has sensory sensitivity in an inviting and not invasive way, and relays key information and suggestions to me to better help her at home. My daughter has successfully mastered many of her goals and we are super grateful to have Miss Kim as her OT. Thank you Miss Kim!

Fantastic experience: Wow I’ve seen so much progress on my son he comes for occupational therapy and Mrs Kim is so wonderful with him she gives me good tips for him and recommends me in the things that my son needs she’s outstanding.

Fantastic experience: My son receives speech therapy at horizon. His therapist is Danielle. And she is awesome! I was worried at first because he was with a different speech therapist,Liz but she is currently on leave. He did very well with her too. It’s been about 2 years now and his speech has improved. I am happy with the service here.

Fantastic experience: Our 3 year old recently started Speech Therapy with Horizon and I am beyond pleased with their services . His current therapist is Monique and from the very start she impressed me with how she was able to connect with our child . She is so in tune to his needs and was able to quickly assess his level of comfort and how to help him reach the goals set for each session , which can be challenging because he’s on the spectrum . She is kind , compassionate and loves the child she works with . She is incredible !

Positive experience: I’ve been going here for a couple mnths now (The Rancho office)I come in really early before my appt, And it’s always peaceful .(The kids usually help bring in the energy we need to get thru the therapy Sessions) lol As for my therapist , Shireya Patel , she’s AMAZING. She always has this “can-do” attitude & pays attn to my progress . I have improved a lot since coming here . My experience so far & I look forward to the rest of these sessions !

Fantastic experience: I walked in and immediately felt more at ease to see everyone’s smiling faces and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween decorations everywhere! Working with little ones is not easy, and yet all these wonderful teachers took the time out of their busy schedules to make the place look welcoming. I couldn’t help but feel the holiday spirit and I could tell the kids loved it!

Fantastic experience: This place is so friendly and welcoming. I had to take my nephew in a couple of weeks ago. When I got there the staff was very helpful that I had to make sure to write a review. First things first The Halloween decorations were great (my nephew loves Disneyland especially Mickey) so he was excited to see him all around. Really made his session a lot more enjoyable for him. Speaking of his session his Therapist was beyond friendly and compassionate. I’m glad that he really enjoys going to Horizon Therapy for his OT appointment.

Fantastic experience: I could see where Horizon has gotten the previous bad reviews.. I had to be very persistent to get an appt with my Kaiser referral-2 months later i was in. Its a very busy place where the front desk is not very approachable. Does not smile or greet you BUT i am giving it 5 stars for my 2 year old's speech therapist Ariana Toews. She is AWESOME-patient, driven., and very hands on. We have been coming to her for two months. My 2 year old is non verbal but non stop babble. Very clingy to me but Ariana is working to fit her needs which i whole heatedly appreciate. Hoping she sticks around for a long time!
