Claremont Care Center: Reviews
Positive experience: This place is just ok in comparison to other, although, the staff never calls me back nor do they pick up the phone. I leave messages, with no reply. Mom is there and at times, I need to talk to staff. I’ve asked for the Director of. Nursing, the Nurses desk, the administrator and never have they called me back. It’s very frustrating! I’ve also asked to speak with their Social Services. They also have not called me back. No one there is available to speak with!
Negative experience: People need more training and more personnel and doc that could be 24/7
Negative experience: I am writing this about the care my sister has received she went into the facility talking and communicating was to have Physical Therapy and speech therapy and in 3 weeks my sister has only gotten worse. She was not checked on daily we would find her not dressed only with a shirt on and a wet diaper no blankets , she fell out of bed. When we went to visit all her things were gone no one knew what happened to her things she was wearing someone else’s clothes no idea who’s , again we complained and the reply was we were going to move her to another room and decided not to. If you have a loved one at this facility move them the care there is terrible it’s always a social hour with the staff with no knowledge of how to care for patients
Negative experience: This is a horrible facility with inept staff and management. Do not let them care for your loved ones.
Negative experience: Don’t place your loved one here. You heard it.
Fantastic experience: My Mom has been a resident for 3 years now and it has been a wonderful experience. She is very happy and well taken care of. I strongly recommend Claremont Care Center to anyone who needs care. The Staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. Thank you
Negative experience: I was a patient their for 2 and a half months every time you call your CNA you have to wait an hour a half for them to show up they have way to many rules they don't let you be independent they don't let you walk around the facility unless you are in the therapy I swear I wanted to walk around the place by myself just to show them that they can't tell me what to do they always have their patients in diapers if you are able to go to the bathroom on your own you have wait an hour and a half just for them to show up to help you go to the bathroom I got to the point where I just said the hell with it I'm gonna show them that they can't tell me what do I'm just do everything myself to hell with them on the last night that I was there I had a cna yell at me for not being in bed when they are the ones who refuse to come when you call them they think that they could tell me what when no one can tell me what to do I was so happy when I got to come home
Fantastic experience: Beautiful facility, always smells clean which is very telling for nursing homes. You can always tell how well patients are taken care of by the appearance of the patients that are present in activities and in the common areas. All of the patients at Claremont are freshly groomed with fresh clean clothing on. As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted by the friendliest staff. Claremont is a beautiful facility and all of their patients look well taken care of and very happy.
Fantastic experience: My mom has been here for five years now. This place is excellent. They’re very well attentive and the cleanliness is immaculate and I’ve been to several places where it smells like urine and number two not here very well kept and have activities for the elderly well they’re active my mom used to love playing bingo and getting her nails painted now my mom is bedridden and Staff have become family. I really appreciate every thing everyone does for my mom. She deserves nothing but the best.
Fantastic experience: I was horrified that my mom was sent here when I read the recent reviews from the past year. Fortunately my experience so far with this place have been 5 stars. Especially with Erin who is the director of nursing. She thoroughly answered all of my questions until I was at ease about my mom's stay there. All of the other staff were pleasant as well. She was only recently transferred here so if anything changes I will update this review. But if you're reading this, it means I trust my mom's well being here so you should feel safe about your loved one as well.
Fantastic experience: My father just got admitted here and mother was here 2 years ago. I cannot say enough good things about the special care, compassion, professionalism and attention received by both my parents. Excellent, personalized care in every way Claremont Care provides. They go above and beyond in taking care of my 91 yr old father. Thank you.
Negative experience: The Director of staffing is very rude. I was trying to scheduale an orientation because I supposedly got hired on as a CNA, and she never returned my calls, texts, nothing. But I heard from a friend that she and two other other people got hired and already have their schedules for work. Maybe it's because I'm a black woman, and there is a hint of prejudice at this facility. I would give this nasty horrible place no stars if I could!
Negative experience: Horrible place for any love one: My dad had suffered a stroke and went to this location to recover and have therapy. He arrived to this facility 9/22/2022 and on 9/26/2022 he complained to the nurse that he wasn’t feeling well, his arm was numb, and he had dry mouth to the point where he couldn’t talk anymore. The nurse told him to go to bed and that he couldn’t have anything to drink since the nurse prior to this one left a note saying that he couldn’t have anything to eat or drink due to him coughing so much. Keep in mind my dad was given dinner and water when I arrived to visit him around 6pm by the same nurse. In the beginning when he was admitted we provided my dad a cellphone just for communication. The nurse originally told us that it wasn’t necessary since they had 24 hour access. We are glad we gave him the phone because that night my father’s neighbor called us and on his end we heard screaming from my father saying he needed help and was begging my mother to come pick him up because something was wrong. I was fortunate that I only lived 5 minutes away so I was able to go to the facility at 10:30pm. When I arrived the nurse was on the phone with her supervisor trying to justify herself on her side instead of checking on my father. I had to personally ask her if she checked his vitals since he had a stroke before and because my father normally would never act like that, so to us something was wrong. Bottom line it took her about 40 minutes after asking me for advice even though I have no experience in the medical field, when she went into the room she came out with a panic look saying she needed to call 911. Once he arrived to San Antonio Hospital after this facility took a little more than an hour to figure things out feeling like a lifetime to have him suffering it turned out that my father suffered another stroke and because of the lack of experience at Claremont Care Center no one had the experience on knowing what a stroke looked like. If anyone is reading this and knows anyone who has also had problems with the same facility, knows someone we can talk to so we can file a complaint or who knows how to handle a situation such as this one please reach out to us so this never happens again.
Negative experience: on my first night at the facility, I asked for 8 hours straight to empty my urinal and got the same response every time "I will get you some one but nobody came. at 3 AM I dragged myself into the bathroom and subsequently fell,I don't know how long I was unconscious .mattresses are 6 inches foam with no sheets l
Negative experience: This facility needs to be closed down and licensing taken away. My mother was transferred to Claremont Care from Pomona hospital at 2am in the morning. My mother called me from her cell phone to let me know that there was a man in her room. There also no curtains in her room. When I called the facility they informed me that this man wasn’t even a patient but a relative of the other woman in my moms rooms. I expressed that my mom didn’t feel comfortable with him sleeping in the room and felt unsafe, without privacy and dignity. I thought that I would get a response of “ we understand and he was given permission prior to there being a roommate but we will ask him to leave”. This did not happen. This facility allowed this man to sleep in a room with a elderly woman and disregarded her safety, privacy and dignity. I am looking into getting a lawyer for the emotional damage caused to my elderly mother and her family. Do not let your loved ones stay at this facility. They do not care and lack common sense judgement.
Nikki- Thank you for reaching out. Please call our office directly and we will be happy to assist you with any questions and concerns you might have regarding your mother's stay with us.
Negative experience: I don't understand why the fuuk my dad hasn't started therapy??? y'all have us running in circles!! We are calling health dept on Tuesday on you guys.
Negative experience: Oh my gosh this place is horrid my mother was sent there from San Dimas hospital 97 years old I went there I pressed the nurses button for three hours straight no one ever came the woman next to my mother was screaming and yelling for a nurse to come because she was sitting in her own feces and it was burning her she wanted to be cleaned this place should be shut down I am going to report them to the health department None of them do their job not one nurse I even asked a facilitator if they were understaffed so I could kind of understand why no one does their job there and she told me they were not understaffed at all so bottom line the staff is lazy absolutely disgusting Rena Holder!!!!!!!
Fantastic experience: My father stayed here for few weeks starting September. The staff was exemplary, very caring and pleasant from get go. Always courteous and patient no matter how much I hounded them for answers. Laurie(?) the PT and the PT team was v kind and always encouraging when helping my dad with his exercises. Everyone we encountered always have a smiling demeanor. I know it's v hard on the whole team during the pandemic, more complaining than praises, so I truly appreciate their their works in nursing the patients to good health. Thanks for caring.
Fantastic experience: Claremont Care Center embraces all employees and patients as if they are family. They really emphasize the importance of patient centered care and speak to residents with dignity and respect. I am proud to be an employee at Claremont Care Center for almost 4 years now. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: 2018: Claremont Care Center provided all the help, support and prrsonal care our Mother needed and gave us the peace of mind knowing we could rely on all staff members at every level.
Thank you for sharing your review with us.
Fantastic experience: Such a great work environment. Nursing staff is awesome!!
Fantastic experience: The employees at his facility are always so caring and generous with their time. With the COVID pandemic they have gone above and beyond to offer different types of visits with patients in their care.
Thank you for your kind words about our staff. We feel lucky to be part of such a great team of caring individuals.
Fantastic experience: All the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The nurses and therapist are very helpful and attentive.
Thank you, we appreciate your review.
Fantastic experience: My name is JERRY Leonhardt and I would like to give a shout out to the PHYSICAL and Occupational therapist at Claremont care center in Pomona. They helped me so much I just Love all of them.
Thank you Jerry for sharing your review.
Fantastic experience: Great staff and facility everyone is very kind, helpful and attentive.
Negative experience: Absolutely horrible facility. My grandfather spent two months here after catching a mild case of COVID while traveling. This facility almost killed him. They literally left him in a bed to just die. He was not fed, he was thrown around like a rag doll, was diagnosed with everything under the sun that he did not have in order to bill him for it, and was just down right treated like less than a human being. If it had not been for one particular nurse telling us to get him out, he actually would have died. He experienced so much trauma. He cries every time he talks about this horrid place. People come to you for proper care or trust that their loved ones will actually be taken care of. Shame on most all of you for how you treat the elderly. There is a special circle of hell reserved for you!
Negative experience: To start, this place DOES NOT care about their patients whatsoever. My grandfather spent time here weeks before he passed, and was not properly cared for. Not only did they let a woman claim he was his wife come in and take him in a wheelchair (he was incoherent and dying of cancer, unable to walk) to sign over his bank account to her, they called during the time he was gone stating "We can't find him, he has disappeared". If they had responded to our calls the day prior, warning of what the woman was trying to do, they would have never "lost" a patient. This is all happening during COVID-19, so the fact that they wouldn't let us, the family, come and see him, but let an unrelated woman take him out of the facility is absolutely unprofessional. If I had the money to sue this establishment, I would. Thank goodness we got him to come home days before he passed, because I doubt this place would have even had the decency to let us know.
Negative experience: This place is Horrible !! We brought our father here for Rehab on surgery he had from his foot and also a weak heart that he has ...The first day he was admitted they treated him with Extreme Care ...Within 24 hours his care changed !!! The facility is understaff and their Head nurse is very rude ...our father was neglected terribly with his care .... The facility is unsanitary and unkempt!!! Do not bring your love one here ! ...☹️
Fantastic experience: I have been working here for 10 years. My coworkers are awesome, they really feel like a family. Our resident become our family. I would not hesitate to bring my family here if they needed care, our cnas are by far the best , if a staff sees a resident needs clothing or anything they miss they don’t hesitate to buy something and gift it to our residents. You guys rock.
Fantastic experience: My grandfather came to this facilitiy during the time of December 2017. He fell and came to get treatment here. He had therapy sessions, which helped a lot. He was able to get back on his feet after a few months. Thanks to the great staff such as the nurses and therapists.
Fantastic experience: Great, and friendly staff. My pleasure to work at Claremont.

Fantastic experience: It's a homie environment. People are so welcoming. It's so clean as well. I recommend this place highly.
Fantastic experience: This is a great place ! I volunteered back when I was in high school and needed hours to graduate. I'd mostly be with activities in the dining room however ,they changed the way I viewed nursing homes. I thought nursing homes were sad , but coming to this facility changed my perspective. They have such a Friendly staff, very attentive of their residents and always make them their number one priority. Great events , cooking class every week and lots of activities everyday . When my mom or a family is ever in need of a nursing id definitely refer them here, and I'm not the type of person youd call easy to please.
Thank you Jasmin for your kind review, we appreciate your support.
Negative experience: If you hate your love one please bring them hear, they will kill him or her for you. They are understaff and those that work here don't care about your love one. Cna Carmelita actualy told me that all cna's hide to avoid helping your love ones. My mom was there for a month for rehab from back surgery and ended up twice in the hospital. She was dropped twice and ended up with an infection that is caused by sharing items from difrent patients.Once in the hospital the doctor from er helped change her to another place. If you are thinking about bringing your love one please go visit with out calling and ask to see their dippers and you will see how cheep they are.
Fantastic experience: Great nursing staff.... very compassionate care.... highly recommend.... when my grandma was sick .... we had the pleasure of having veronica be supportive with every step

Fantastic experience: Claremont Care Center took great care of my aunt. My family any I were extremely happy with the care she received
Fantastic experience: My uncle was referred by his primary care physician. Although he was hesitant to go to a snf , He soon realized it was the best place to be post surgery. Not only did he excellent care but he also made friends with other patients . Claremont Care Center was a great choice.
Fantastic experience: Very clean facilities
Fantastic experience: I've had several family members at Claremont Care Center and they've all been happy with the care they received.
Negative experience: My mother in law was recommended by Pomona Valley Hospital to continue the longevity of her recuperation, due to a car accident. The issues with the staff quickly arose with many complains from mom. Mom is a still conscious and is only in the care of this facility temporarily until her fractures heal. Mom told us that at night a woman yelled for help and no one came to her aid. She was never instructed to ask for any pain medication and was also in agony due to the pain and the pleadings of that woman. We hardly left her alone my sister in law even spent the night due to the ineptitude of the staff. The next morning she didn't receive her breakfast until 11 am and the person delivered it cold because it was sitting outside her door for hours. After being left soiled for over two hours, mom attempted and failed to get a nurse's attention by pressing her call button her daughter then called from home, and not after her third phone call aid was sent. At this time mama's granddaughter was present when the nurse came to change her diaper and stated that she didn't come when called because mama didn't eat her lunch (was she punished?). Her roommate was ill and taken to the hospital; we later found out she succumbed due to pneumonia and other factors. Mom was also "misdiagnosed" with Pneumonia a day before her roommate had been taken to the hospital (hmm???). I don't know if the misdiagnosis is relevant or not but the team's actions are questionable. Why was mom arranged with such a sick patient? We spoke to the social worker before any of these circumstances. The worker had nothing positive nor negative to say, and now we know that there are many flaws in this place. It was as if the worker would by preference not speak due to the reality of what is undoubtedly happening behind closed doors. I believe the staff lack compassion and are in great need of some training and supervision.

Negative experience: If you TRULY love your loved one, don’t keep them here. This is a place where if the person doesn’t die of health issues they will surely die of emotional desperation. It is not only depressing since you step foot in but hygiene is horrible and even smells disgusting. I feel bad for the employees, you can tell they are just there to get their paychecks and go home, no smiles, no passion no nothing from them. If you bring your loved one here you will definitely regret it. we are all humans and should be treated like such, this facility is definetely not a place where I would ever like to be left or be brought therefore I will not leave any loved one here. We learned our lesson and will be taking our nana out! She was in a car accident fractured her pelvis and rib was referred here from the hospital for “therapy” which she hasn’t received for over a whole week. Quickly they put diapers on her and they still have the gut to not change it for over 2 hours after peeing ! After my mom made several attempts to call the front desk I arrived and told them to please change my grandmother. Not only that but the lady in the same room as her had pnemonia, and my grandma now was diagnosed with it as well.Christmas eve the lady was sent to the hospital and past away Christmas Day. gET THIS - Now all of a sudden today December 26 we get a signed document from some doctor we have never seen that my grandma doesn’t have pneumonia after all !?!? Hmmm after we told them that it was the consequence of the poor lady that is now resting in peace? And they still have the guts to tell us she safe there LOL! Seriously . Peace out !
Hi Jacqueline, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience with us. We greatly appreciate your feedback. Please know that we care deeply about our residents and try our best to create a pleasant healing experience for them. It is troubling to hear that our residents or their family members feel that they have not received proper care, and we apologize for any discomfort that your grandmother may have experienced. We invite you to contact our facility directly so that we can better understand how to serve our residents. If you have the time, please call (909) 593-1391 and ask to speak to Carla.
Fantastic experience: My personal experience at this center was good. Even though my Dad had liver cancer, he refused to give up on life. He decided to stayed at this center for rehabilitation instead of going to any hospice care. For over a month, he would get up early each morning, have breakfast, and go to the gym. I have never seen my Dad happier before. He seemed contented, pleased, and full of life. Although, he passed away a few weeks ago, I am so relieved to know that he spent the rest of his days in a place where he felt loved, cared, and appreciated. And for that I will be eternally grateful.
Fantastic experience: I recently brought my great aunt there after she had a fall. I have never been in a facility like that and it went really well. The nurses and rehab people got her home quickly and were always kind to my aunt. Great overall experience.
Negative experience: I was currently looking for a safe nursing home to put my 85 year old grandmother in good hands and CCC was the second stop on my hunt for a safe haven. Before CCC I was at another nursing home and the gentleman that gave me the tour went into great detail of the faculties core values and the facilities accommodations and he took his time to show me around the entire facility. Mind you, his tour took over an hour. Over at CCC, I walked through the glass doors and only showed around the physical therapy room and the room my grandmother was going to stay in. The tour was so brief that I was left in bereft of how short the tour took, 3-5minutes max, and I was handed a brochure and I felt as if I got a foot in the rear as well. I've had plenty of personal experience going in and out of rest homes, I was an EMT for 3 years for a private ambulance company in the Los Angeles County area, and I must be honest and speak free that CCC was one of the most unwelcoming facilities I've ever been to, never will I ever put my grandmother through those doors. My advice, STAY AWAY if you love you family members.
