Rancho San Antonio Medical Plaza: Reviews
Fantastic experience: After trying to visit the ER a few days back and leaving after waiting 6 hours without seeing a doctor, going to another urgent care a few days back and being told by a doctor who saw me for less than 2 minutes to just take cough meds, I finally decided to fight for myself and go to another urgent care. I knew I didn’t just have a flu. I’d been sick for 2 weeks and my congestion was severe. I decided to come here and Nurse Maria was so kind and loving. She made me feel comfortable and taken care of. When Doctor Jennifer came in my room she truly listened to me and did a through check up on me. She finally diagnosed me with bronchitis and a sinus infection. She gave me a rundown and explained what was going on with my body and the meds she was giving me. I was so relieved a doctor finally gave me the time of day and wanted to help. She was so sweet, caring, sympathetic, and listened. I can’t express enough how deeply I appreciate both of these ladies. I can finally get better now.
Fantastic experience: It's not our first time here and we have always had good service, but this time the group of people that were there today were outstanding making our Sunday in a hospital setting a joyful one. In the beginning Brandon was helpful, and was assisting us yet making sure others would be helped shortly. Very attentive! Maria was in the back did not help us but was also very pleasant and I was making small talk with her while they were taking vitals on my husband. Third person Laura, assisted my husband and she took care of the issue and answered all of our questions. It's a Sunday and sometimes you get people that would rather be somewhere else but this crew was the greatest. These are what I call keepers and pleasant to work with. People who have a medical issue, maybe a bit down and you leave positive. Thanks guys you made our day!!
Negative experience: Except for charging money,They didn’t care about anything.
Negative experience: On 4/9/2024 I made an appointment for the urgent care on their website . I arrived checked in, took 20 mins because the computer system was down. My appointment was at 3:30 , I waited until 5pm and was never seen by a doctor. So I went to ask for my co payment refund and the nurse with glasses said we can’t you’d have to wait. I left and call to file a complaint of course no answer . Left a message will see if they call back. I don’t recommend this urgent care horrible customer service.
Negative experience: Absolutely horrible horrible service. Most rude from front desk you’ll ever meet.
Negative experience: Urgent care in San Antonio Rancho Cucamonga location is a joke. Extremely RUDE staff specially the Asian girl who takes you in for blood pressure at first. I waited for 1:30 min in the waiting room and another 45 minutes in the room, a nurse practitioner came in who did not really knew what she was talking about and uncertain. Paying for a doctor but seeing a nurse practitioner. It’s like going to restaurant this maybe that? After almost 3 hrs….. Do not recommend this urgent care ever and I will try not to come back here again.
Positive experience: As an Irgent care they did very well. They are one of the few urgent care's that do xrays. The only thing I did not like was you have to check in on a computer kiosk (like ordering at McDonald's). It was easy but I could see older people or people who are not computer proficient having problems.
Negative experience: Horrible vaccination experience a few years ago.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service, Amazing health care providers, Best Hospital in Upland , Ca. Awesome!! ER employees.. Wow!! Vallet service..

Negative experience: Horrible horrible horrible. We had to wait for 2 hours to see a doctor who was really incompetent on what she was doing. We ended up with leaving the location without getting any treatment and reliable diagnosis.
Fantastic experience: Not from around here no urgent care would help me because of my insurance, this is the only one. I'm a diabetic and needed my insulin thank God for this urgent care for helping me by far hands down the best urgent care in rancho Cucamonga thank you everyone there was very pleasant.
Negative experience: This review is for the urgent care, had a bad Experience with Prescription problems, after calling Multiple times and being put on hold with a total of 2hr wait to speak with someone at urgent care to get my prescription fixed and 3 trips to Pharmacy I had to fix the issue with my own phone to make contact with Pharmacy and urgent care, I will not Recommend this Urgent care to anyone I know, or will never visit here again.
Negative experience: This Urgent Care has truly changed!!! The people here are absolutely HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! Did I say HORRIBLE! I literally was in a ton of pain from legs cramping up during the night. Got out of my bed to come here….the girl at the check in, was so RUDE with the worst attitude!! The Dr. Was incompetent! She was literally going to let me go home without even offering any type of medication to relieve my pain! Unbelievable! I guess I got out of bed drove here in excruciating pain just to pay a copay??!?!? I will NEVER EVER EVER come here again!! She asked me literally everything about exercising that perhaps could have caused the pain …it took me to suggest maybe it’s the change in my medications??? Then she tried to gas light me as if she suggested that? Bethany was the best part of that visit! Hopefully, she’ll get out of there soon! That place is a HORRIBLE!
Negative experience: Horrible wait time even with appointments!!!!
Negative experience: This place is so slow 3 hours for a doctor to check you!
Fantastic experience: My doctor is here
Negative experience: These agents operators representatives whatever they are called are so rude. They give attitude and just hang the phone on you. Horrible experience.
Negative experience: This hospital is very inaccurate. Took a covid test for pre surgery and they say test was positive. The home test I took before I went to them and after they gave these results both said negative. Seem like someone wanted to stall the surgery.
Negative experience: Brought my baby in with breathing problems and they really did not care. The lady that took his vitals looked at me like I was waist if her time. Waited 3 hours for a doctor to see him and when I asked how much longer they said they’re busy soooooo… and just stared at me.
Positive experience: Efficient for labs and X-rays, mammograms. I like the patient portal. Urgent Care is another story, but my understanding is it is not run by the hospital. Care is by Np/Pa which should be fine in most cases. If it’s a serious issue go to emergency because that’s where they’ll send you. I stopped using UC after repeated billing issues that I just gave up fighting. In other words, UC billing is a money grab.
Negative experience: Its an alright facility. The one doctor on staff didnt know what was wrong with my son. He got a second opinion from the other doctor and they both missed the symptoms that my son was in DKA (we didnt know he was a type 1 diabetic at that time). They said he had pneumonia because he had a cough and told me to take him to Loma Linda. You can imagine our shock and our frustration once he was properly diagnosed at Loma Linda that evening. I wouldn't take a child to that urgent care. Go straight to a children's hospital for proper treatment. Booking an appointment is hard to do from the website. You can try to call but no one ever answers. One time we drove all the way there while calling and the receptionist was the only one up front and she just let it ring.
Negative experience: I been going here for 4 year and the last 3 they been all bad experiences I came here last Thursday and I had a wonderful experience I brought my next son back the following week and it was an awful experience all the sudden they don't bill you all the sudden they don't want to take the insurance is that they have always taken from me and now they just want to sit here and argue with you in front of everybody highly embarrassing don't ever come to this urgent care longest wait times in the world you pay and wait to get no meds to make you feel better
Negative experience: There registration system is slow. To many steps to actually do your labs and x-rays.
Negative experience: I came here to get Covid vaccination for my 9:30am appointment (I came at 9:10 and signed up then waited). However, the first person for vaccination got vaccination after 10am. It is already 11:09am which is 1hour 39minutes after my appointment time. I do not know when I cam get it. If anyone has a plan to get vaccination here, please plan to spend more than two extra hours here. Also the receptionist was not nice and was even rude. She was not patient.
Negative experience: Younger white lady at urgent care desk today was very rude and highly unprofessional. Wasnt trying to help at all. I left and went to a different urgent care
Negative experience: Please go somewhere else, the wait time is so long, especially when there is no one there, and they never know how to help, they refer you to your physician, like obviously if we can see our physician we wouldn’t be at urgent care. When they said this last time I just thought it was a one off but they did it again. After reading the other reviews I regret not looking at them before hand because a lot of them are very accurate.
Negative experience: I'm a healthcare professional and this place was by far the worst experience I have had as a customer. Waste of time and energy.
Negative experience: This urgent care is extremely slow. And the front desk girls have zero personality. I got here at 5:05 and the computer stated there were 2 people ahead of me. I wanted for about 30mins to be called up to get my info and be put in a room. I think waited another 45 minutes in the room for a doctor. The doctor came in, saw me for 2 mins if that and sent me on my way. When patients visit it’s obviously because they don’t feel well. They want to be seen, medicated and sent home to rest. This office has no sense of urgency. It’s very unfortunate!
Negative experience: Came here to get COVID tested (drive through) literally waited 4hrs! There was only one car in front. They literally take hours here.it’s the worst place to come
Negative experience: One of the worst urgent cares in the area. The staff is extremely rude. The wait is so long. The care is awful. Don’t even attempt to make an online appointment since they have no regards to that at all. Never ever again.
Fantastic experience: All the staff were nice knowledgeable and if I had any questions answered them so I could understand it. Customer service was very helpful and compassionate.
Fantastic experience: I’ve always had a good experience coming to the urgent care there, and they have good doctor facilities. My general practitioner is on the second floor. Dr Mirelle Ann Marquez Ignacio MD I picked Prime-care so that I could go back to her even after changing my insurance.
Fantastic experience: My Doctor's office is in the building and I finally found the best Doctor I have seen Suite#240
Negative experience: Came here as instructed for my pre-op covid test. Was told to come between 9am and 2pm, park in the designated spot for the preppy test. Came at 1pm, parked where I was told. Called the number as directed and sat on hold for 20min before going inside to find out what the hold up was. Apparently the urgen care is closed from 12:30-1:30pm. Came back at 1:30pm, parked in same spot and called again to be told to get in line for the tent to get my covid test. The line has 10 cars waiting. SARH really needs to update their prop instructions so we are not waiting for hours to complete our pre-op testing. If I ever need urgent care in the future I will NOT be coming here ever!!
Negative experience: Nice to see comments are deleted!!
Negative experience: Dont ever go for labs if you do not have a PAPER order. Twice my doc sent electronic orders and both times they could not find it. Not a pleasant experience when you have to go fasting early in the AM, wait to be checked in, then have to go home because no orders found.
Fantastic experience: They are very good. They help you out. The staff are good. You can asked questions answered you.

We will forward your comments to the respective departments for staff recognition. Once again, thank you for choosing San Antonio for your healthcare needs. Thanks, San Antonio Regional Hospital.
Negative experience: Don’t get tested here!!! This place is terrible, they have a horrible attitude and take way longer than they said. Not only that there Phone line is always “busy”. Go anywhere else to get your covid 19 test. People at this location have no pride in there jobs and don’t hold back to be rude over the phone. Especially the ladies at the front desk. Do yourself a favor and never go to this location.

Negative experience: I visited them because of coughing and a flu. They are very inefficient and took a long time to wait to see the doctor (not a lot of people in the lobby). I had insurance coverage and I paid the $20 copay. But 2 months later, they said I have $281 unpaid balance! I visited many urgent care before and never has this problem before. And seriously, $301 for a visit just for coughing? Another thing is their statement date is 3/5, and payment due by 3/15? Are they sending the mail UPS and expect everyone to check mail everyday? Update: I called and after a long wait on the line they said I do not owe them any money. But why did you send me bill and waste my time to call you to clarify? Their procedure is totally a mess and I swear I would never visit them again!

Negative experience: the residence doctor was inefficient and was in a hurry to check their patient coz she had to attend the next person in line. I will never come back here anymore! poor service! if there is negative 1 star here, that's the rating they deserve! Don't go here, look for other Urgent Care who will truly take time to care for you!

Negative experience: Caution !!! This place is Disgusting the employees there have zero compassion there are no doctors run by nurses and all they want to do is question your insurance our 9 yr old son was in pain and couldn’t swallow and they wanted us to drive a throat swab to the city of Colton to drop it off I explain to them we never ever have to drop off anything to another facility they said well we can do it and then when we were storming out of there they said 0h oh yes we can send it out be careful of this place If you value your health or the health of your loved ones do not go here disgraceful!!!

Fantastic experience: Quick, easy, not crowded. I've been several times for various minor things. Sometimes I set up an appointment online, sometimes I just walk in. It's clean and ample parking. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about...probably just impatient people who have never been to a medical facility.

Fantastic experience: I've been here 5 or 7 times and every single time is great. Have not waited long and Dr.s are great. I'd rather go here. How people rate it low I have no idea.

Negative experience: Saturday June 10 2017. The wait time was under 20 min and the young lady who checked us in was very nice. We were taken back and all vitals were done and put into a room to wait for a Doctor... No doctor, should have been told to us before we paid, a Nurse Practioner stepped into the room. After a few moments of him asking why I was in the UC, the decision was to run a quick test and we could then proceed. I did, in my repeat of my medical ailments I have, mention that I was a T2 Diabetic. I also stated that I see my regular doctor every 4 months and do blood work, I am as good as can be. I will share with you my syptoms of 3 days at this piont... watery stool, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, upper neck pain, mid back pain, loss of appetite, fever of over 101°, cramping in abomin. So, he says we are checking for unitary tract infection. I'm fine with that. It came back negative. Good news and not. Then it began.... he tall me it was my high Blood Sugar. ..I don't have high BS.... it was tested and was in the 170s that is high for me...the spike was because of my fever! My BS that morning and lunch had been in the 120s. I understand diabetes. For the next 15 min my husband and we're told what it was that we need to do to keep me under control. He even wrote down holistic tips for me...what to eat, drink and how to stay away from carbs. I cut him off and asked what his diagnosis of my symptoms were...you have a virus! What? He prescribed me 3 medications. We went home. I get worse and the meds don't work.. it's not a Virus!!!!! Mon. June 12th ...A day and a half later I'm in the ER! They figure out by LISTENING to my syptoms that i have food poisoning! And, I am severely dehydrated! The ER Doctors both said that I was lucky that I came in...one of the comments was that the first tip off of an infection is a fever! These were easy to identify by the doctors before any testing was done! DO NOT TAKE A LOVED ONE HERE! ITs NOT WORTH THE RISK! AND HEY MY N.P., SHUT UP AND LISTEN! I am reposting this on all the FB sites I am a member of. I feel that I could have been treated better.

Negative experience: I agree with others reviews, this worst hospital ever! I had to be seen by a doctor, but the people here do not really care. I had an insurance card that according to their website says they accept, but the women at reception desk did not even bother checking in their computer system. I will never go to this hospital again! Why bother calling it an "Urgent care" if they don't even assist people the right way. Also from the looks of it, too many employees just talking and messing around on their phones. Will never come here again or recommend anyone to visit this place, you are better off going to the emergency room/another hospital.

Negative experience: My wife and I have been to this hospital over 15 times in the past 2 years because this hospital doesnt take the time or initiative to actully determine why my wife is constantly nauseous. Basically they hydrate her with fluids, give her some sleeping medication, and discharge her with a different reason for the nausea each visit. The first 6 visits she was told it was in her head, possibly medical marijuana, or maybe food poisoning. Each time we return, we bring the discharge papers to be informative and they wont even look at them and treat us like its the first time we've been there. On the 7th visit the doctors did an ultrasound and found a plum sized syst in my wifes ovary. Then they determined that the cyst was causing the nausea. It began shrinking after taking birthcontrol. Now it is very small and we have doctors telling us that the nausea has nothing to do with the cyst and tested her gall bladder. The doctor comes back to say "her gall bladder isnt working 100 percent, but its not the problem, but you will most likley have problems later in life." Awesome. An hour after that the doctor discharges her saying it must be food poisoning. Im my opionion, they just wanted the bed back... So now 2 weeks later, here we are again, my wife is dehydrated and as nauseous as ever and the nurse tells me "we probably wont figure it out but we will make her feel better for now" I am sitting in san antonio writing this review to tell you to stay away from this hospital. It is operated by disorganized and incompetent people that have no interest in resolving your medical problems. Go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Get ready to be billed multiple times for services they've already been paid for and wasting your valuable work time during the work week to explain this to them. Nothing but stress, loss of job productivity, and headaches to deal with it! I smell class action!
Hi Dylan, we highly value Compassion and Customer Service, and we apologize that you did not receive either while you visited our urgent care. Negative experience: I went to the ER a few years ago there and the nurses and dr were fine. however a few months later, I received a bill that my insurance did not cover. I called the hospital because the charges seemed very high for a simple nausea medicine. The hospital said it was a mistake and someone else's issues were accidentally put into my chart. They stated they would remove it right away. Well I just received a collections letter for almost double what was the original charge. I had never received any call or notice since that encounter. Now I have been sitting on hold for over 30 minutes just to speak to someone and find out what is going on. This is unacceptable.

Negative experience: Eight hour or more wait in an emergency room is unacceptable. Hence the word emergency.....

Negative experience: Terrible experience. I was sent to San Antonio Regional Hospital by my doctor for emergency surgery and was sent home saying I was fine. I was even given the okay to fly. 5 days later I ended up in Emergency at another hospital in Canada and had to have immediate emergency surgery (as originally suspected). The ER doctor at San Antonio Regional was completely incompetent and made a very terrible and dangerous call.

Negative experience: This place has horrible customer service. I had to go to the E.R I was seriously ill, my husband had to rushed me here which unfortunately was the nearest hospital, they had me along with other people, including a very sick senior waiting in the hallway for hours, they don't offer you a bed unless you're dying, something I had never seen before, when I finally got to see a Dr she was so rude and being a smart ass I could tell she didn't have much experience, we were there for almost 8 hours, the only nice worker there was a young male nurse. I hope that I never have to set foot in that hospital again. I would never bring someone I care about to this place. Place looks dirty too.

Negative experience: The wait time just to be registered to get labs done is awful! I've been here three times already trying to get this test done! Every time I've come I've waited about a half hour & had to leave to get back to work or go to another appt.

Negative experience: My wife broke her arm late Friday night. We sat in the waiting room of the Emergency Department from 1:00 am to 5:00 am before getting admitted. She has used San Antonio's ED 3 other times this year. A wait of 21/2 hours is not unusual. San Antonio needs to do something to alleviate the long wait times in its Emergency Department. The doctors and nurses at San Antonio are great but they don't have much to work with in the ED.

Negative experience: The hospital itself seems to be OK but there seems to be something wrong with the emergency room operations. I accompanied my wife to the E.R. on Monday, March 2nd as was having extreme abdominal pain that day. We went as recommended by her doctor thinking we would get a ultrasound done in a timely manner. We arrived before noon. It took one hour until she was seen by the triage person. Then we were sent back to wait in the chairs to be seen again. After five additional hours of waiting and asking staff for status receiving their answer "you're in the system" -- we finally made the decision leave the E.R. It turned out that my wife's condition was extremely serious with internal bleeding and she had to have emergency surgery later in the week at Ponoma Valley Hospital. We were billed around $350 to our insurance by San Antonio for no treatment other than the triage evaluation and an a urinalysis from which we never received the results.

Negative experience: Good folks for staff unfortunately the ER is broken. 6 hours or more wait times every time we have gone. No doctor on hand to address immediate pain. Example, broken leg was just wrapped with ice pack and Ib given for pain and waited like that for 6 hours while swelling and pain increased. 6 hours later got a morphine shot for pain? It would be helpful to address the pain level first if your going to see someone 6 hours later... I believe we can do better in our community... I know there are smart people there that can put in place a better plan of action. 6 - 9 hour wait times is not responsible.
Negative experience: broke my hand. they wrapped it with a band aide and I got charged $3,000. never again
Negative experience: We went to this urgent care for my wife, who had just got off the phone with the Blue Cross 24 hour help line that told her to go to the urgent care immediately. Long story short, she thought she might have a staff infection. The doctor told her that the medication she had been prescribed for her infected ingrown toenail, was not an antibiotic even though it was. He thought just because it had the word "sulfa" in it means it's just a sulfur. But please look up "Sulfamethoxazole-TMP". It's definitely an antibiotic. She was having fever, chills, aches and pain in her neck from what we think was a swollen lymph node. The doctor said that because her infected toe was getting better, that the other symptoms were unrelated. Mind you, her toe was still infected, just not as bad as before. He decided to just brush her off like it was no big deal when she had two different nurses say that it sounded very serious. If you want your issue to be taken seriously, don't go here. Its a waste of time.
Negative experience: Horrible CHILD CARE 2nd time I bring my son, I regret it. I only come for the convenience of it being down the street. I should drive half an hour to Pomona instead. These nurses are horrible, they have no hospitality or welcoming for you or your child. They just see you as a number. In & out. Only reason I gave it one star was for the one doctor Carlos Perez. He is great with kids.
Negative experience: ER expirence is below standard, thumbs down.. the Noc doctor and rn were unprofessional. individuals who seek medical attention, need the benefit of the doubt anfd not staffing opionions, When has critiquing a part of medical services?. Walking out was the best decision. I hope Im not billed for services not rendered.
Negative experience: There service in the ER is horrible been here for 6 hours
Fantastic experience: Delievered my 2nd born here!! & it was the best hospital.. Great staff... Clean & cozy
Negative experience: Got to the emergency room at 6pm Monday night was told it was a two hour wait. about three hours later they called us in to ask a bunch of questions. Took blood and said the doctor would call us in. Its 10:30 pm and we are still in the lobby. If my girlfriends appendix bursts I'm suing. Absurdly ridiculous the way people are treated here.
Negative experience: I had an abscess so went to this hospital took me 30mins to get the bracelet thingy n wait another 20mins to get my blood pressure checked and ask bout medical history after that wait again another 20 mins for how im gonna pay for it n medical history again and asked me to pay $200 in front before they know whats happening to me that took bout 20mins and I was in so much pain since I walked in after that wait AGAIN!! another 20mins to go to ER room and it took like 2 hours for the treatment. Oh and they asked me to sign these papers about I cant sue the hospital if anything go wrong because the dr that will help me is not the dr of that hospital I was like wtf!? But didnt care cuz im in so much pain already. A month later I got the symptom of abscess again and a bill frm hospital of 800 + the 200 I paid in front so total is 1000 for poking my abscess and pour iodine on it. Dont come to this hospital unless youre like an inch to die and cant get to any hospital to get treated. the Drs n nurses are nice but I dont think they know wat theyre doing.
