Back In Motion Physical Therapy: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I was recently treated by Back In Motion after having 26 radiation treatments for prostate cancer and experiencing post treatment side effects. With years of experience, Rhonda was outstanding in designing a treatment/rehab protocol that specifically addressed my issues. I learned a great deal about pelvic floor type issues I never thought I’d face and most importantly, saw significant improvement in my post treatment side effects. The office is warm friendly and casual and does not have that medical office vibe. Rhonda’s technician Moni was most helpful and helped me learn the various exercises and stretches. And I wouldn’t want to forget Rhonda’s friendly dog Cocoa who has the run of the place and adds to the relaxed atmosphere! I give Back In Motion a 5-star rating.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful. So thankful it helped me. Love the staff and everything they do.
Fantastic experience: Back in motion has helped me tremendously with Pelvic Floor Therapy. Rhonda is amazing and I would absolutely recommend
Fantastic experience: They are always there to make sure you are doing the exercises correctly and if you need anssus . Also they are readily available to ask any questions you might have.
Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful place for both woman and men to receive proper pelvic floor therapy. I have learned so much about my body by going to back in motion therapy. I have been referring all my friends and coworkers who have been battling pelvic floor issues.
Fantastic experience: I am a PT and I bring my 98 yo mother to see Rhonda for her incontinence. As an older PT, I’ve been somewhat disappointed in my profession as it seems many PT’s don’t spend much time with their patients, nor do they use manual procedures (skilled touch) to treat their patients. Rhonda has renewed my hope in our profession. She spends time with mom, teaches us about pelvic floor dysfunction, and uses her experienced and gentle hands to relax and train mom’s muscles to improve her pelvic floor and incontinence. It’s working great! Rhonda is skilled, kind, focused and very ethical, it’s refreshing! Her clinic is gorgeous and loaded with state-of-the art equipment…the best of which is Cocoa, her pup. Thank you Rhonda for your excellent care!
Negative experience: I don’t often write 2 star reviews, but I feel the need to share my experience so that other people don’t have a similar one or at least have a better understanding as to what to expect when they go to BiM. I have had 2 appointments here with a total bill of over $500. Ouch. The first appointment was with Rhonda and took about 40 minutes. During the appointment she attached electrodes to my bottom and had me do kegals to determine my pelvic floor muscle strength. I was also internally palpated for tight muscles and tenderness. The second appointment I was given some warmup stretches to do and then the instructor would walk away and I’d have to call them back after I finished each stretch. Once the stretches were complete, I started exercises on a Pilates machine. I was able to complete maybe 4 different exercise while performing kegals and then was told my time was up for the day. I asked if appointments were typically 40 minutes long and the response was “about 45 minutes”. I was given a handout with the warm up stretches and told to do them daily and prior to my next appointment so I could use the full time for the exercises. I was also scheduled for another $300 appointment with electrodes to see how my pelvic strength had changed or improved. Again, this is my experience and maybe you would be totally okay with this level of care - I just wasn’t and can’t justify spending the money with a baby on the way. I’ve since found a more affordable practitioner that focuses on pre and postpartum and stays with you for the entirety of the visit and does the internal pelvic work with you. Next, I feel that it is important to understand that BiM has limited hours and does not use a scheduling software. Everything is done old school with a book and pencil. This is fine except when you need to cancel or reschedule and no one answers the phone because it’s outside of office hours. Even during office hours it is difficult to reach someone because they don’t have a designated front desk person. Yes, you can leave a message, but keep in mind they have a strict 2-day cancellation notice or else you are charged a fee. It just feels a little off. Okay, I think that’s everything. Like I said, this was just my experience. I was surprised by all the 5 stars so I wanted to share another perspective.
Fantastic experience: Great experience working with Rhonda and Rachel. Quality care and effective therapy.
Fantastic experience: OMG! The most amazing place ever!! Such a comfortable/safe environment for work that everyone should have! My only regret is that I didn’t find them sooner.
Fantastic experience: Great personalized assistance!
Fantastic experience: Very caring people! Love them all.
Fantastic experience: They have been so professional and friendly but most importantly they are helping me get through my physical problems.
Fantastic experience: It has been so hard to find a pelvic therapy office that took my insurance and also had amazing therapists! Rhonda has been so great with really wanting to know my health journey as a whole, and wanting to heal all parts of my body + mind in the process. So so glad I finally made the leap and started at Back in Motion.
Fantastic experience: Rachel and Rhonda are wonderful. They are friendly and listen to what’s going on every week. The pelvic therapy has really helped after having three kids. And they give you exercises to do at home in between sessions.
Fantastic experience: I started seeing Rhonda and Rachel a few weeks ago for IC or an overactive pelvic floor after training for a half marathon and a ton of mountain biking last year. After months of being told it could be IC and being on a ridiculously strict diet with little relief, after only two visits Rhonda told me to start introducing things back in as she thinks I wouldn’t have any symptoms and she was right! I wish I would have pushed for PT sooner and wonder how many others could benefit from pelvic PT! I have been talking all my friends and family about the benefits and highly recommend Back in Motion!
Fantastic experience: The therapy I am receiving at Back in Motion is the only one of its kind in the area and it’s really helping.
Fantastic experience: I started seeing Rhonda and Rachel when I was a few weeks pregnant. Now I'm a few weeks away from the birth and feeling confident in my body. They have helped me alleviate hip and pelvis pain, gave tips for increasing comfort with the pregnancy, and the perineum massages are hopefully going to help with keeping me intact during the birth. I will definitely be seeing them again for my next pregnancy.
Fantastic experience: Always a soothing experience at back in motion :)
Negative experience: Can’t get through every time I called the phone goes to voicemail and says goodbye
Hello Valarie, Sorry you were having a difficult time getting through. Our phones have been working all day and haven't had any problems. Maybe you called a different number. Looks like you snet us a text thru Google business at 4:23pm today and we responded back within 23 minutes. Sorry we couldn't make you happy. responded back to you in 25 minutes. Sorry we couldn't make you happy.
Negative experience: Have called multiple times, always get sent to voicemail. Tried contacting through the website as well. Still haven't heard back, super disappointing.
Hello Angela,
We are very sorry to hear you have had difficulty reaching us. During business hours we focus on our patients in the office and sometimes unfortunately that means we miss calls. Feel free to leave a voicemail or call our 24-hour answering assistant and we are happy to get you scheduled.
Fantastic experience: Very professional and knowledgeable in all aspects physical therapy. Pleasant atmosphere and they seem genuinely dedicated to everyone’s timely and full recovery.
Fantastic experience: Rhonda and the team were incredibly helpful in my last few weeks of pregnancy and during the recovery process. I couldn't feel better and am able to move and play with my kiddo the way I hoped I could.
Fantastic experience: Very helpful and professional with my issues.
Fantastic experience: Everyone at Back in motion has been kind, professional and knowledgeable. The experience for me has been very good so far.
Fantastic experience: I have had several experiences with Back in Motion Physical Therapy, and I cannot speak highly enough about my care and treatment! Rhonda Fiorello is incredible to work with and extremely knowledgeable about a variety of conditions. All of her staff take pride in their work and encourage the patients so much so that I left physical therapy feeling like a "friend" rather than their "patient". It is not the cookie cutter therapy that you receive at other places, it is individualized to you as a patient. Sabine, the receptionist, and Bernadette, Rhonda's assistant, remember your name without having to be told it, which is incredible when at other places you are just a name on a chart and a bunch of exercises which have to be done! If you have a choice, choose Back in Motion Physical Therapy! You will not regret your choice and will leave feeling like they truly put you "Back in Motion!"

Fantastic experience: The staff was very friendly and professional, the facility was very clean and comfortable to exercise in. Coco the manager and mascot always greeted patients at the door and supervised all activities from a resectful distance.
Fantastic experience: This place is amazing, all the staff is warm and compassionate. Back in Mortion gave me hope after years of dealing with pelvic floor issues!
Positive experience: All though I did not attend very many appointments, the ones I did were carried out in a very professional manner.
Negative experience: I am reluctant to give this feedback, but here it is. It might produce some good down the line. Technician is lacking enthusiasm, seems disinterested, or lack customer service skills, too distant; needs to be more motivated, cheerful, or involved; otherwise, clinic is effective and helped my condition. You need to make your customer feel at home and taken care of. Owner and receptionist are great though; made me feel right at home.
Fantastic experience: Rhohanda and her staff are amazing . She spent more time treating me.I seen her for just a few sessions but, I had great result out of it. Unfortunately, It’s a long drive for me.
Negative experience: Impossible to get ahold of anyone. Always have to leave a message. Had questions about insurance but due to not being able to reach anyone, we went to Renown
Fantastic experience: Outstanding in all respects! Best /most thorough/professional/knowledgeable/ Physical Therapy organization I have ever gone to . Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Fabulous, in one word. Rhonda was caring and thoughtful about my issues. She listened which is a big deal to me.
Fantastic experience: The whole staff is superb. There is no better in Reno.
Fantastic experience: I found these people to be very helpful , friendly and knowledgeable. They have good training, equipment, and a pleasant environment. I recommend them highly, well worth the long drive to get there. Bob Balfrey
Fantastic experience: The entire staff is professional and very positive. Rhonda is very knowledge. I have a great deal of confidence in her therapeutical techniques and ideas.
Fantastic experience: Rhonda and her staff are absolutely the best at what they do. Rhonda has an incredible way of making your physical therapy as comfortable as possible, educational as she explains everything, and she gets results!!! You owe it to yourself to go see her.
Fantastic experience: Effective, Curative Professional treatment After my experience at Back in Motion Physical Therapy I can trust no other Physical Therapist; Im hooked.
Fantastic experience: Rhonda and Bernadette do a wonderful job. Both are friendly and professional.
Negative experience: Love the staff and therapist there but felt like it was very, very expensive (nearly $175 a session! If they submit to insurance it was more expensive and if you paid cash then it was a bit less.)and I didn't get very much hands on therapy. It seemed as if the experience was not customised to my problem but more cookie cutter in terms of putting people on the pilates machine and having everyone do the same exercise. I attend a gym all of the time so didn't need most of the exercises they wanted me to do as I already do them and many of them i did on the same day they wanted me to do them in their office. I did speak with them about this and they agreed that we could save time and eliminate some of the exercises but still charged me the same. Also, scheduling was not always convenient as they don't work a full week. I didn't leave a message with the office on a voice mail to talk to them about my concerns and no one ever called me back. Again, for the very high cost for a session it was not worth the hassle, and I didn't get any relief. All this being said, if you have a very flexible schedule and have deep pockets or great insurance and don't regularly work out, this would be a great place to go for pelvic floor help.
Fantastic experience: Stellar group of people!!!! All have been extremely helpful throughout the many levels of my recovery. Aside from all of the physical achievements gained over time, their support and guidance (Rhonda’s in particular) is truly what makes all the difference in the world. It’s what sets them apart from all the rest. I initially walked in on my first day of therapy without any real hope; afterwards, I walked out that same day with all the hope in the world. For someone who has been suffering from interstitial cystitis for the past (35+) years, and has been treated in over (3) different states, I cannot begin to tell you what a compliment this is. Rhonda is absolutely phenomenal at what she does and is a true credit to her profession. I don't think I could ever thank them enough for all the hope & joy they’ve brought back into my life. :)
