Fantastic experience: This series of appointments was for my neck following an injury. (previous Orthopedic visits in 2016 and 2021)---they get it RIGHT with a comprehensive assessment and progressive treatment program that includes home exercises. I got seen and evaluated by a physical therapist on each visit; I did NOT share my therapist with another client during my treatment session; I then wrapped up my visit with a dedicated PT aide to complete my session; again not sharing with other clients. Other PT offices tend to 'cattle call' where you are given an exercise and then the PT/PT aide moves to another client, often causing 'dead time' while you wait for the Team Member to circle back...

Fantastic experience: Kind, caring, & creatures. That is what to expect from Galena Sports Physical Therapy. Not only do they heal with their hands, they also lift the spirits with light, unobtrusive humor. They encourage and advise. From time to time you may even find a four legged therapist roaming around. With a massage therapist on site and a delightful team of greeting administrators this is definitely the place to pick when you have a choice. In closing I would say I didn’t really put much stock into physical therapy until I started here at Galena! Hope this helps

Fantastic experience: Starting my pt session with galena sports physical therapy has been nothing short of a great experience. I came from a faculty who wasted 2 months of my recovery not helping me at all. I came to galena sports and to Michael Hendrickson with so much fear but hope all at the same time. He explains everything to me, okra through my pt sessions with me, answers all my questions, and just makes me not only feel enter after or but has me leaving feeling like I was very well taken care of and clear on my recovery plan. Leaving me positive and motivated to get better! If anyone needs a new physical therapist I highly recommend him!!

Fantastic experience: Galena Sport PT was recommended to me by my surgeon, post neck surgery for a disc removal and a level 3 spinal fusion . My therapist Daniel has been awesome. He assessed me, listened to my concerns and then partnered with me to create a realistic plan to strengthen my neck and upper body muscles and increase my range of motion. The manual manipulations he does to loosen my tight/ stiff muscles feels absolutely glorious- I especially look forward to that part!

Fantastic experience: I have grown to appreciate GSPT more and more as my rehab has progressed. Their PTs + assistants are both knowledgeable and highly-personable. The overall vibe is quite welcoming and casual, but also roundly professional. The clientele skews older, but not at the expense of younger patient's aspiration towards more performance-oriented end-goals. All in all a very strong PT resource that South Reno is lucky to have.

Fantastic experience: I've been through a number of different physical therapy groups in the Reno-Tahoe area but Galena Sport is by far the best. It's not that any of the others were bad or deficient, it's because the PT and the tech's are so friendly and seem to really care about your rehab. My daughter is going there post ACL and meniscus tear rehab and I'm there for a torn rotator cuff. Would recommend Galena Sport to anyone and everyone.

Fantastic experience: I have been experiencing a painful and stubborn lower back/thigh issue. Brennan is my lead PT, and I am quite pleased with his attentive, thoughtful and competent care. The total team support is strong, and my sessions start on time and are efficient. Everyone is helpful and good natured. I actually look forward to my sessions, and slowly but surely, they are making a difference!

Negative experience: If this review was just about the people working there it would be 5 stars. Everyone was so nice and I loved being greeted by a sweet dog every day. But unfortunately, I feel the physical therapy aspect of going to Galena was 1 star. I had shoulder pain that was caused by very specific movements with an unknown cause. A few visits in they overworked my shoulder and I was in terrible pain so they cut it back. The trainer said they kept kicking themselves for pushing me too far so early. I was completely understanding because I figured that happens. But then they switched to deciding it must be an issue with my ribs and not a shoulder issue at all. So for my last two visits seeing them they focused on my ribs. I was then told to just go home for 3 weeks (I was still having all the same pain) and to just call them if it doesn't get better. To be sent home, while still in the same amount of pain as when I started 6 weeks previously & with no solution to my pain, did not sit right with me at all. So I started going to another PT in Reno who knew within 2 visits that I needed to see a shoulder specialist and that PT wasn't going to solve my problem. After seeing the shoulder specialist and getting a steroid injection all of my pain is gone. I feel like my money and time were completely wasted at Galena and I am so disappointed to have a place send me home after taking my money with no solution.
