Lawrence Rehabilitation The Gait Center: Reviews
Fantastic experience: My doctor recommended Lawrence Rehabilitation The Gait Center for physical therapy for my lower back and hip. I scheduled an appointment to start the process and met with Katy McComas. She performed my initial assessment, and she took time to get to know me, my interests and what I was experiencing in terms of my back and hip pain. I explained my weight lifting regimen and she pointed me to Hunter Bogart as he lifted weights, and he would be able to better understand my workouts and to develop a program for alleviating the pain I was experiencing. Hunter was able to pin point my lower back area as my primary pain point that also contributed to my hip pain. He developed an exercise program to help strengthen the muscles in my lower back and hip area. He worked me hard during my 8 weeks of therapy to help reduce and manage the pain areas. He provided me with a home program to work post therapy. As a result of the program he developed and put me through, my pain has significantly reduced. During my therapy at Lawrence Rehabilitation, the people there were friendly, accommodating, and professional. They were also very experienced, which gave me a high level of confidence and success with my therapy. I will be using Lawrence Rehabilitation in the event I have future physical therapy needs.
Fantastic experience: A super combination… highly skilled and a great sense of humor:
Fantastic experience: Great job all the way around! Hunter Bogert is a ten. We worked through the injury and beyond.
Fantastic experience: As below knee amputee for 30+ years this place retaught me how to walk after knee surgery. They made me better than I was before surgery and a better walker period.
Fantastic experience: They are the best. Speaking as a former athlete and someone who has worked with many different facilities in the past, Lawrence Gait Center has the most attentive and knowledgeable individuals I have worked with- especially Lindsay. Would recommend to anyone seeking a PT! Thank you for helping me on my foot surgery recovery journey.
Fantastic experience: Thank you Danene Brown for taking care of my physical therapy at the Gait Center. She was engaging, professional, knowledgeable and recognized quickly the best course of action for me personally, and structured my appointments accordingly and I am much improved. She has provided me written instructions for my continuing good health. Everyone at the center was courteous, friendly, and always knew your name, they meticulous attention to cleanliness, it was a well maintained, bright large facility . Thank you
Fantastic experience: Based on my experience as a patient here, I highly recommend these folks. Patient-centered physical therapy practice. The people are knowledgeable, experienced, and care about the progress of their patients. They can handle everything from a spinal cord injury to an amputation to ortho surgery rehab to a muscle/ligament injury. They expect their patients to work toward recovery on their own time and use the appointments for therapy and education rather than exercise.
Fantastic experience: I went to the Gait Center after hip replacement surgery. I was very pleased with the services there and the hands on attention i received from Danene. She was great about listening to me and addressing other issues and concerns that existed before my surgery. I highly recommend the Gait Center.
Fantastic experience: As an above-the-knee amputee of 47 years, I've received the best advice and rehab from The Gait Center. The people there tailored programs specifically for my needs and problems, particularly for my back and knee pain and for helping me understand ways to take advantage of new prostheses to stay healthy and happy. Most recently, Tracy Rauk helped me adapt to my new prosthesis by understanding me, challenging me, and encouraging me to achieve goals that I know I can reach. It was a joy to work with such an enthusiastic young therapist as Tracy.
Fantastic experience: At the age of 48, because of a cancer diagnosis, my leg was amputated above my knee. I was referred to Lawrence Rehab for prosthetic and gait training. I was apprehensive and knew nothing about prosthetic or gait training. The team at Lawrence Rehab immediately embraced me and my situation calmly and friendly.. Their special knowledge of my issues (prosthetic gait training) along with the intimate hands on, one-on-one instruction, fostered a rapid trust and confidence that was reassuring and hopeful. The intimate learning environment was so motivating and inspiring as I met many other individuals who were working through various situations similar to mine. I am so very grateful for their caring and ongoing support that I continue to receive from this wonderful rehab center, 7 years later! You guys are awesome and helped me recover and reclaim my independent active lifestyle!
