Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center: Reviews
Positive experience: My experience with Canterbury I would like to give a shout out to Emily and Brandon in the physical therapy and occupational therapy they gave me hope again in the show me that I can't do it I like to thank them for that and to nurse Tina wow what can I say about her 10 more nurses like her and employees like her that place to go a long ways to wake up with that attitude but her smile give me hope and to the administrator you are doing amazing job getting the staff together putting people's in positions of leadership I know it's not easy but please don't you lose faith God has the last say and everything and to your dialysis department I'm glad you have been apart of their care and looking forward to being apart up there team to help me with my dialysis a big shout out to Canterbury
Negative experience: My husband went here to get therapy to strengthen his body, so he could resume his life. The therapists are caring people, and do more than their job descriptions. They dress the people to take them to therapy, because the nurses won’t. I wish I could say that about the nurses. My husband told me he called about soiling himself. It took them over an hour to get to him. My daughter was visiting him and he called a nurse. She sat there and watched the flashing light for 45 minutes and no one came. The nurses rarely leave their station. They play on the computer, phones and have personal phones calls and laugh and talk amongst themselves. Good luck getting anyone on the phone. They don’t have a working system to take messages. If you leave a message with the receptionist, no one ever calls you back. They lose the patients clothes and shoes. During my husbands stay, they had a CoVid lockdown on his wing. They wouldn’t let them go out of their rooms for therapy. So, he got so weak, he couldn’t move. So, he stayed in the bed. They ignored him. He had Parkinson’s and his hands shook so he had difficulty feeding himself. They fed him things that are difficult to self feed with shaking hands. My daughter did his laundry his shirts were covered with food that he dropped. He lost a lot of weight. They should have had someone feeding him. He said he fed himself. They promised and never delivered utensils made for Parkinson’s patients to help them feed themselves. Then I got a call that he had been taken to the hospital, unresponsive. The shirt they cut off of him was clean. So, he didn’t eat that day. How long did he lay there before the PT guy found him? He was in ICU and they found blood clots in both legs and lungs. They didn’t expect him to survive the first night. But he hung on for several days. They gave him excellent care. Finally one night I got a call that one of those clots betrayed him. He left this earth at 11:00 pm. The exact time he would have clocked out from work. I would not recommend this care facility to anyone. They do not care for these people. They are all about the money. Not one staff person said they were sorry to hear of his passing. They cleaned his room out, before his bed got cold. They wanted hundreds of dollars to hold his bed for 5 days. He had full insurance coverage. I just got a bill for almost $5000.00 they claim I owe in addition to his insurance. This place needs to be investigated. We found out his roommate died also. We have since found out this is a common occurrence at this facility.
Negative experience: Great rehab from rehab techs, very short of personnel in nursing and cna staff. The Rehab PTA and OTA are the only positive thing that came away from this facility, it was very short on nursing and CNA's also, and it showed, I will not recommend this place to anyone because of the lack of personnel to attend to the patients, and only an hour a day of PT/OT is not enough to get folks functioning the way they need to prior to departing the facility, more time is needed but again they are short on staff compared to patient load. I commend the PT and OT staff for a job well done!
Fantastic experience: My mother n law has been in a number of rehab facilities and honestly I've wanted to take her home immediately. Canterbury has been wonderful from Zoe the front desk receptionist to the nurses who actually listens to our requests. The doctor called several times to give us realistic advise which we appreciated. The events they put on for their residents are really great Keep up the good work Canterbury and thank you .
Negative experience: Staff doesn't do what family request for example patient has clothes but they put gowns on him. Patient doesn't like gowns staff doesn't even tie it they just let it fall off. So lazy. Needs helping sitting up but staff doesn't help home. No time so they claim. This home is aweful!!!! Patient has been their 5 years and now time to move on.
Negative experience: Needs a complete nursing staff overhaul (with the exception of a handful). You will notice a nauseating urine smell from the time you step on the elevator which is usually filled with carts of dirty dishes. The dementia unit (Grove) is a tough area to work in I am sure. However, most of the staff is dismissive and look at you rudely if you ask for attention for the patients. The ammonia smell from the urine that most of the residents wallow in is putrid. Residents are more often than not sitting in pee and feces. The residents only get water if they ask for it However many are incapable of doing so. Staff drinks the soda so, there is none left for the patients. Social workers seem to only be interested in the beginning when they are trying to get residents in then, forget it, if you are trying to reach them. Answering machines are full and nobody gets back to you. Facility Administrator Michelle Williams doesn't even have her mail box set up (convenient when you want to get paid for not doing work). Patient/residents clothing has not been laundered in over 2 weeks so, they scrap clothing together for residents that doesn't belong to them. Would strongly suggest termination of those who do not work. If you can't do your job of supervisor or worker. You should be fired. If you are hired to do laundry, do that job or go on welfare. If you can't handle being a courteous and caring nurse on the grove. Go to a facility that does not have dimentia patients. This may have been an almost 5 star facility at one time but, at most it Canterbury is 2 stars for those in the Grove.
Negative experience: It has been a few days since my mom’s death. My mom kept saying to me. Some of the staff were mean to her and took their time getting to her. On several occasions I wasn’t pleased with the up keep of my mom’s personal hygiene’s. On several occasion I bath my mom myself. My mom’s sheets were stain with the same dried blood from the day before. I marked the sheet myself to see if it would be change and it wasn’t. My mom was a double amputee. So it wasn’t like she could do things for herself. I been doing some serious thinking and something doesn’t feel right. My mom should be here. I will not rest until an internal investigation is done. Yes, my mom had medical issues. But just how long was my mom unresponsive til someone noticed? I had to express how I feel. I do not want this to happen to another person love one. I was told by three staff. That as long they were on shift. They would be sure my mom was okay. However, it shouldn’t just be those three. I will not stop until I find out the truth once I lay my mom to rest. If I do not get answers I will be going to the newspaper. My mothers death will not be in vein.
Fantastic experience: Kudos to nurse Summer who helped my niece during her first day of admission to the facility. Her customer service was exceptional and answered all questions with a big smile.
Positive experience: I have had great experiences with several nurses at Canterbury. Katina, Issac, Briana and Ivan to name a few. They are rapid in responding when I request something for my dad and I appreciate them. Kyrah has him picture perfect whenever she has him! And Melina helps out whenever any of the other CNAs need help without complaining. I appreciate them!!
Hello, thank you for taking the time to share your experience about us here at Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. Should you have any questions or inquiries, please do not hesitate to reach out! Best, the team at Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center
Fantastic experience: Has been a pleasure staying here . Staff is amazing and go above and beyond to accommodate the residents .
Negative experience: Please do not send your loved ones here. The bad reviews are the true reflection of this facility. The place is nothing like advertised on the website. Patients are sharing a room, a dirty one at that. Heating and air conditioning units are filthy with mold and when you bring it to the attention of nursing staff they will agree but nothing gets done about it. The place reeks constantly because patients have to sit in their waste for extended periods of time, left on the toilet as well. Forget about the call light you might as well not have it they will take so long to respond. Her purse went missing as well with no real help to locate it. Now I can empathize with the shortage of staff to patients in this industry but when you can hear them loudly congregating when people need assistance that’s a problem. You make requests for things that you won’t get, and the fake concern is transparent after a while, from the administrators on down. Just say enough to make you think they’ll be proactive and then nothing. Some staff you can’t tell even work there, walking around constantly on the phone having conversations that can be heard. I don’t recall seeing badges or name tags to know who’s who. Beds are raggedy with no side rails on some yet the patient is a fall risk or someone who is on a low sodium diet being given bacon regularly. My mother complained of shortness of breath and asked for a doctor on at least two occasions none was provided even after explaining of a medical condition that contributes to it as a precautionary measure, she was given Tylenol. Hours later she is being sent to a hospital with no explanation given just a call of where she was heading. She was sent without any information or medical records just her tote bag, over an hour away from home and loved ones in a hospital that has no history of who she is. Got a call from Canterbury with fake concern about her well being, saying they would fax her records and send a liaison to check on her, neither happened. They were really more concerned about me getting her things so they can fill her bed which they were doing as I was gathering her belongings out of the closet the next victim was being hoisted into her bed. My mother passed away four days later due to complications because someone didn’t care enough! She was unhappy there and voiced her concerns with no hesitation. She was there to get better so she could go home but instead she got worse and died. The reviews on facilities like these are the same, people just don’t care anymore, maybe a few do but the bad ones leave the impact. This is not a job to just come get a check these are peoples lives at stake and if you can’t take that seriously then change your profession! Something needs to be done and I would gladly love to see this facility and any other operating the same way shutdown until they get people who will do the job efficiently. I can go on but I digress. Your loved one is just $$$.. Canterbury is ranked in the top ten of worst facilities in Richmond. I tried my best to get her transferred out and closer to home with no success. My mom was admitted January 31st and she died March 6th. She was not a long term patient she was there for rehab and then back home. Don’t be fooled by the pictures, the Nurse Administrators, social services or their nursing staff… they don’t care!
Negative experience: I am beyond disappointed and frustrated with the care my mom received at Canterbury Rehabilitation Center. The service here is appalling, and the lack of attention from the doctors is absolutely shocking. They showed no real concern for my mom's well-being, and by the time things took a turn for the worse, it was already too late. She should have been sent to the hospital weeks ago, but they failed to act. When they finally did, they sent her to the hospital in an ambulance, covered in a filthy, urine-soaked blanket. This is completely unacceptable. The conditions at this facility are disgusting. My mom's room was filthy, and there were times when poop was left on the floor for weeks. I had to clean her room myself because it was clear the staff didn’t care. The entire facility had a terrible smell, which only added to the sense of neglect. My mom was on a strict kidney diet, and when she mentioned an issue with her meal, one of the workers delivering the trays rudely said, "You get what you get, ain’t no special orders around here." This kind of attitude shows how little care is given to the residents. Some of the staff were incredibly rude and dismissive of my mom’s needs, displaying a complete lack of empathy or professionalism. I am appalled by how they treated her and how little attention they paid to her comfort or well-being. The wound care team failed miserably in caring for my mom’s open wounds on both of her lower legs. The subpar care they provided ultimately led to doctors suggesting the amputation of her legs. This is utterly heartbreaking. My siblings and I were supposed to meet with the administrative team to discuss our concerns, but we were constantly given the runaround every time we tried to arrange a meeting. The lack of communication and accountability speaks volumes about how little they actually care about their residents or their families. To make matters worse, when I went to pick up my mom’s personal belongings, they were soaked and smelled of urine. Additionally, her cell phone was stolen. It’s clear there is no respect for the residents or their property at Canterbury Rehabilitation Center. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. The negligence, lack of professionalism, proper care, and basic hygiene is beyond appalling. Please, do yourself a favor and find better care elsewhere.
Negative experience: Simply called to get assistance with nursing and the nursing director was completely rude hanging up the phone while I was asking a question. It is so easy just to be kind to people.
Negative experience: My sister and her husband are both patients there. My BIL has been there since Thursday with no pain medication until this morning (Sunday). This morning, he never received breakfast. I just visited him there (at noon). There are at least 6 staff members congregated at the end of the hall where spare beds are stored just laughing and sitting. Could one of them perhaps check to make sure everyone is at least fed? Prisoners get better care!!
Negative experience: Do not bring your loved one here. They refused to take my loved one to the hospital during an emergency. The director and nurse practitioner were rude, dismissive, and neglectful to my loved one needs.
Fantastic experience: This is a great facility and the renovations are nice. My encounters with the staff were all pleasant, everyone was friendly and accommodating. Mrs. Lewis was particularly helpful.
Fantastic experience: Very nice building. There are a lot of options when choosing this facility. The staff is top notch! Look no further!
Negative experience: This facility is actively presenting a façade. The common areas are updated but the rooms look like a hospital from the 90s. On the first couple days all of these administrative people will come into the room and introduce themselves and say let me know if you need anything but they actually don’t help when you need to advocate for your family. The care other than the therapy is unacceptable. On her second day, there the CNA left my family member (who was there for rehab to gain her strength back) sitting in the bathroom for an extended period of time to pass out trays and then left her at the sink to finish passing out trays and my family member got got weak and was leaning over the sink and nobody stopped in her room to help her when her door was wide open. My family member had to struggle to walk herself back to the bed. I immediately called the director of nursing to report this issue and she never returned my call and it’s been a week. There was no calendar or information with the date. I had to write the date on the board for my family member and my family had to update it. The clock was also broke in the room. My family and I reported it many times to different people and nobody fixed it. These issues can contribute to patients becoming disoriented. Also the worst part is that they claim they had a “chef” who would alter meals to give patients food that they like but that didn’t happen. My family member said they didn’t like eggs and they got eggs every day. They also sent the food pictured below which is supposed to be ”smothered Turkey, potato wedges, and a roll.” As you can see from the quality my family member had to rely on protein shakes and juices and our family to bring her foods.
Good morning, we are disheartened to hear of these recent experiences here at Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center and would like to address these issues so we can take corrective measures where applicable. If you would like to discuss these issues further, please reach out to our Administrator, Nichelle Williams, via email. Her email is [email protected]. We look forward to speaking with you as soon as possible. Sincerely, the team at Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center
Negative experience: My father in law was just there on respite. He was admitted into the Grove unit. I will never let another family member, friend or even an enemy go to this place. You walk into the building it’s clean and pleasant and then you go to the Grove wing. It smelled horrible the people was just placed into the main room all together no interaction if there was interaction it was only negative. I only saw a total of 4 employees for the entire wing. They had the residents mixed together the ones who were mellow were with the residents whom had behavioral issues. When my father in law was released we were told it was to be at 10:30. We arrived at 10 only to find he had been placed into a transport and was headed home. The transport waited for us to arrive. We found that the facility not only kept his coat, shoes and even his medication. We called the director only to leave messages with no return call.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful facility! Enjoyed the gym. Helped me get back to myself after falling at home! Food was good. I would recommend this facility for rehab! Staff was friendly and helpful. No complaints!

Oh, she could talk about was this new nurse name Miss Clark……. I Haven’t had a chance to meet her yet, but I am looking forward too, Because she’s allowed me to sleep a little better at night knowing that my aunt is doing better because of her! Thank you so much Nurse Clark!!

Fantastic experience: Monique Lewis has a very inviting personality and was easy to speak with, as she patiently answered all of my questions and concerns. You can tell her and her staff really care about the work they do. The facility was very clean, it brought me comfort knowing that my family member was in good hands.
Fantastic experience: Monique Lewis really provided 5 star customer service and was tremendous in providing quality guidance and support
Fantastic experience: Canterbury has been a blessing to our family, especially thanks to Sydonie, the lead receptionist. She’s always so helpful and attentive every time we call, making each interaction a positive one. Her smile and warm welcome every time we visit truly brighten our day before seeing our loved one. SYDONIE has been a Godsend to us, and we’re grateful for her kindness and care!
Fantastic experience: When I called to get information about the facility. The front staff was very knowledgeable, professional and answered all of my questions. I can appreciate that we’re looking for a new placement for my love one.
Fantastic experience: Amazing experience , Kirby was one of the beautiful ladies I met. She really was really supportive, going out of her line of duties to encourage me and spoke positivity inside of me. She was very informative and friendly.
Fantastic experience: Kirby is an outstanding patient advocate! They went above and beyond to ensure I understood every aspect of my care, took the time to answer all my questions, and genuinely cared about my well-being. Kirby’s dedication, compassion, and attention to detail made a significant difference in my healthcare experience. Highly recommend Kirby for anyone needing a reliable and supportive advocate!”
Positive experience: I’m shocked by these glowing recommendations for this facility. This place is horribly understaffed on the men’s ward. My parent’s roommate was forced to soil himself because the nurse he asked for help (Raven) said she would be back and it was over an hour and half till we saw her again. I had to get another aide to come clean up the mess on the floor and all she did was mop it up with towels and put them in the rooms laundry basket and say how his nurse is busy. Every visit but one, the ward had a heavy ammonia smell from urine. It’s so permeated that it sticks to your clothes. People; I know sometimes you have to do what you can with your loved ones but do your homework and visit at all times of day and night. They spruce the place up on Sundays which is their busier visiting day. Late at night and early morning hour visits paint a very different picture however. I’m only giving this 3 stars based on the few 5 star employees they do have; such as Lamont who is a real hard worker and cares about his charges.
Good morning, Lauree, we'd like to learn more of your recent experience with us as it is disheartening to hear of these events taking place. We invite you to contact our Administrator, Nichelle Williams, via email, and let her know the best time to contact you to discuss further and take corrective measures where applicable. Her email is [email protected]. We look forward to speaking with you. Respectfully, The team at Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center
Fantastic experience: Canterbury is an amazing facility. If you’re looking for a place where staff cares about you and your loved ones this is definitely the place!
Fantastic experience: My interaction with Desma Parker Business Manager has been exceptional! She has been hands on and answered questions even if it was her of her scope. When things needed to be done she got me connected to the right people to correct the issue. Canterbury is lucky to have Ms. Parker on staff.
Fantastic experience: Nice facility staff, business office is knowledgeable and willing to assist. If you have question see Kirby she can help.
Fantastic experience: I love the staff here!!! All of my questions and concerns are addressed appropriately and I feel comfortable with the care received.
Fantastic experience: UPDATE The longer my loved one is in Canterbury, the deeper the appreciation I have for the team involved in his care. As stated in my previous comment, the service starts from the time you enter the building greeted by friendly hello’s (infused water -with cucumber, orange or other fruit slices - often is available by the door to quench your thirst), to the dietary , medical, unit nurses and CNA’s, activities …and so on. A few continue to stand out. 1. Tina coordinating round trip transportation and the Westham nursing staff providing necessary paperwork for his doctor’s appointments and daily medications. 2. Delephine and the Environmental Services staff providing weekly laundry service for his clothing and other items. There are many more, particularly specific CNAs - Shontell, Lamont and others - who provide daily hands-on assistance with his personal cleaning and other incidentals. PREVIOUS COMMENT: I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the care my loved one receives at the Canterbury Nursing Home. In a time when nursing homes are facing severe staffing shortages, it's truly heartwarming to witness individual staff members who display genuine concern and compassion for the residents. Unexpected crises can and do happen, and for many of the patients here, their families are unable to provide the intense care they need. In these moments, the Canterbury staff becomes an extended family, stepping in to provide support and comfort - often leaving their own cares at home. I have had the pleasure of dealing with the Canterbury director, who has been accessible 24/7, and she has consistently responded promptly to resolve any issues that have arisen. She also makes it a point to pass on commendations to those exceptional individuals who go above and beyond in handling various situations. From the welcoming faces at the front desk to the dedicated teams in social services, activities, dietary, business, housekeeping, rehab, and the medical/nursing/health care staff, there is someone ready to step up at a moment's notice. While space and time prevent me from listing the names of each remarkable individual, I want to extend my sincere thanks to the entire Canterbury extended family. To those who make Canterbury Nursing Home a place of warmth, support and care, (you know who you are). I say, "Thank you. You are truly appreciated."
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experience at Canterbury! We greatly appreciate your kind words and are thrilled to hear that you feel your loved one is receiving excellent care. We are happy to offer support and comfort for your loved one as our team is dedicated to providing the care our patients deserve. Best, the team at Canterbury Rehab

Fantastic experience: The therapy here is amazing! When I came in, I was paralyzed on one side, but with patience and with time, feeling started coming back and therapy worked with me to rebuild my strength and endurance! Now I am walking short distances with just a cane and using the wheelchair for longer distances. I love working with everyone in the therapy department so much! So shout out to Hazel (rehab director), Ciara, Nick, both Brandons, Danielle, Angela, Cheryl, Emily, Dawn, Pablito, Tracie, Joel, and several others whom I've missed!
Fantastic experience: Excellent facility great staff proud to have my love one here!!
Fantastic experience: A loved one recently had the pleasure of experiencing the exceptional care provided by Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the entire staff. The facility itself is well-maintained and offers a welcoming environment that immediately puts you at ease. The level of care and attention to detail provided by the healthcare professionals at Canterbury is truly outstanding. The staff is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also incredibly compassionate and attentive to the needs of each patient. They go above and beyond to ensure that every individual receives personalized care tailored to their specific needs. The rehabilitation services offered are top-notch, with a comprehensive range of therapies designed to aid in recovery and improve overall well-being. The therapists are dedicated and work tirelessly to help patients regain their strength and independence. Additionally, the administrative staff is efficient and always willing to assist with any questions or concerns. They make the entire process seamless and stress-free, which is greatly appreciated during what can be a challenging time. Overall, Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is a beacon of excellence in the field of healthcare. I highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of rehabilitation services or long-term care. The staff's commitment to providing high-quality care and their genuine concern for their patients' well-being make Canterbury a standout choice.
Negative experience: I would stay clear of this place if at all possible. The nursing staff is ok but the administration totally took advantage of my mom having her change her insurance to away from a Medicare advantage plan to regular Medicare. What provider changes a patient’s insurance? The aftermath of getting everything cleaned up cost her a lot of money. Be very aware.
Fantastic experience: Jackie is my favorite Respiratory Therapist. She is a great person with a great personality. Thanks for Canterbury. I appreciate you.
Hello, Dewarren we are thankful for your 5-Star feedback! We are happy to hear that you are satisfied with our care! Fantastic experience: I'm very happy to join this amazing family, thanks to Ms Wanda,Ms Crocker, Ms Juantisa, for the wonderful orientation. Thank you all.
Fantastic experience: I’m in orientation and this facility is a nice clean environment. Some of the staff that was very helpful and pleasant was Ms. Wanda the Nurse Educator , Ms. Juantisa the Admission coordinator , and Ms. Nichelle the head Administrator .
Fantastic experience: Canterbury is amazing! From the moment I walked in. The entire staff has been pleasant. Special shoutout to Wanda (Educator), Juantisa (Admissions Director), and Nichelle (Administrator).
Fantastic experience: Ms. Wanda Mrs. Nichael Williams Ms. Juantisa These three individuals have great potential. I loved the way they made me feel welcomed and open. I love there spirts and I hope they get a raise. THEY NEED A RAISE !!! ASAP !!! ❤️
Fantastic experience: The kitchen staff is very friendly and helpful. The food here has really improved of late.
Fantastic experience: Had a Amazing experience dealing with Mrs. Monique Lewis while dealing with Social Services.
Fantastic experience: The staff were so courteous and polite. Especially the social service director. Mrs. Lewis answered all of my questions and she was so welcoming.
Fantastic experience: Mrs Monique Lewis is a wonderful woman, and the rest of the staff is fantastic. This facility is very caring and respectful and treated everyone as a person, not just a cookie cutter program. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: The Environmental service is doing a wonderful job facility. Do not smell. It looks gorgeous. Make you want to hang out with your family. Keep up the good work.
Negative experience: Sister transferred to a room with an unmade bed. She never got any food to eat and when she finally did it was cold. No call button for a nurse. Horrible experience.
Fantastic experience: Canterbury is a very nice place to consider for your love one. The house keeping department does a great job. Most importantly the staff is very friendly. First impressions are everything this place nailed it. It’s always room for improvement. Keep up the great work facility and staff members.
Fantastic experience: I have worked at Canterbury for a little over two years and it's the best facility by far that I have worked in. The Administrator truly cares for the residents and the staff. The entire team here is amazing, hardworking and dedicated to making sure the best possible care is given to the patients.
Fantastic experience: My sister has been at this rehabilitation and healthcare center for therapy. Kirby was phenomenal to interact with.
Fantastic experience: Kirby in the business office is well rounded! She was able to provide Insurance information and break down the process of having a loved one in a facility. Knowledgeable professional!
Fantastic experience: The housekeeping department is great here at Canterbury. Hanna has been doing a great job. The rehab department has been doing a great job here during my stay as well. The wound care is amazing here. She even helped me get dressed a few times. The nursing staff has been good as well. Shawnda and Tina have taken good care of me. Canterbury is a great place to come.
Fantastic experience: I work at Canterbury Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. I am part of an amazing leadership team. I have worked at other rehab facilities and nothing compares to Canterbury. Here we care for Residents on vents and have in house dialysis. Everyday I get to work alongside the most caring, supportive and compassionate people. The leadership is always celebrating the staff and Residents. Just yesterday we had a party celebrating the most amazing success story. A young lady from Puerto Rico (19 years old) was struck by a car in Virginia while visiting her father and ended up being admitted to Canterbury. During her stay here she went from having a tracheostomy, not being able to speak and not being able to walk, to walking independently. Today (at age 21) she is on her way back home to Puerto Rico. I am so proud to work for such an awesome company and with these great people. Canterbury strong!
Fantastic experience: Canterbury business office is amazing! They take their time and help you to understand and are not blindsided.
Negative experience: They are leaving patients and their diapers for hours on end. The nurses have poor attitudes and are unwilling to assist. Lack of communication. Unorganized daily routine. No organization for giving medication. Ignoring patient needs. Also have found out they have bugs in the building as well. The staff needs to be taught proper hygiene and professional care.
Negative experience: I don’t know how this place is even a 4.6 star. Between not changing patients who wear adult diapers for 4-5 hours on in. Is very disturbing and inhumane. Patient is unwell and you don’t provide adequate care for them??? You dont listen to your patients you try to extend there stay beyond requirements!?!? Shame on yall !!!
