Positive experience: Great staff, often short but what nursing home isn’t? They do what they can and it is overlooked, management facility looks clean and doesn’t smell of urine. Administration is friendly. Residents looked happy while touring

Fantastic experience: The nurses and all the staff are kind caring patient and helpful. Physical therapist have been great with my mom and the dietitians as well. Along with the social workers. Sorry I don't remember all their names but they are a great group of people and housekeeping and kitchen staff. It's an older facility but aren't we all LOL. Thank you to Susan coordinator who helped to get my mom enrolled

Negative experience: I am beyond disappointed with this nursing home. I will state firstly that there was a couple of caring nurses and maybe 1 or 2 aides that cared. The receptionist was also pleasant and helpful. The most major issue was that my mom stopped eating a few weeks (or more) before leading up to her death. They wouldn’t diagnose her as “failure to thrive” or appropriately communicate with hospice in order to get her closer to family and in the comfort and care she should have been afforded . I went to see her a few days before her passing and she was slumped over in her wheelchair and could barely talk. She had thrush and was so uncomfortable. A few days later she passed, Christmas Eve, ALONE. How could it have gotten that far w/out hospice care? You mean to tell me the signs weren’t there that she was near death!? You’re a skilled nursing facility for crying out loud! There were other less crucial disappointments- I was told 2 different things in order for my mom to receive her prescribed eye drops. Neither way worked and she never received them. We asked for her to get her hair washed and cut and they said we needed to pay extra for that, it never happened. On visits I had to ask for a toothbrush and toothpaste to help her brush her teeth because she said they felt yucky. These small acts are simple and help the residents to feel somewhat human. And the clothes in her closet were a disaster. I’m not at all done with this but for now I implore you to not send your loved one there.
Negative experience: Absolutely horrible communication. The nurses did the best they could but we received very little support from the company itself. Our mother died alone as they would not diagnose her as terminal until the day she died. They just wanted the money.

Negative experience: Worst nursing home in rochester no staff management sucks not knowledgable unproffesional doesnt care about residents the new Director of nursing is terrible she doesnt care about residents or staff at all they have bed bugs and roaches and mice this place should have been shut down years ago i took my father out of there wouldnt put a dog in this place

Negative experience: I called today to see if an appointment was needed to visit a patient and was told by a very rude nurse that the patient I was calling about could only see visitors monday wednsday and friday. I told her she didn't even know who I was calling about and that I never gave my name or the patients name and she said she could not discuse it any further. For some place that is open 24 / 7 no one answers the phone half the time and when they do they transfer you only to get disconnected. If I could get my brother out of there I would. They have lost all his clothes and shoes and leave him with out giving him his rehab treatments. This place should be shut down.

Negative experience: Hadcto give a star to leave my comment but this nursing home needs to be closed down. This is nooooo way that any person should have to live. The staff can care less and it shows all the way around the board. The patients are not clean, or Moisturized, bed sheets are always dirty, the smell of urine hits you as soon as you step off the elevator. The call lights do not get answered answered. Its the worst and its so heart breaking . I will be going more often and making calls to the higher up(state)

Negative experience: Forced to give 1 star as i would prefer not to give any. Despite reading reviews I remained optimistic of where my loved one would be placed. My first impression was the least of my worries as staff left the facility obviously dissatisfied as expressed by the demeanor and rumblings as they exited the building. Left at the front desk for a while as receptionist had to go upstairs. I had no clue as to what room my loved one was in. Without going into all of the details lets just say stuff was not attentive to residents needs. I understand shortage in healthcare currently but that's no excuse for the severe lack of timeliness to have needs addressed.

Negative experience: This should really should be minus a hundred Stars. This place is hideous, mismanaged, the staff need to be retrained in proper precautions and protocol because they're the ones bringing in covid, the residents aren't getting out. This place should be shut down, the care is horrendous. I shouldn't even say care because there is very little care given. I saw that the comments that were negative we're not responded to by the facility, interesting, they only did that for the one that said oh you're wonderful.

Negative experience: Terrible place. Would not let us see our family member, he went there to be rehabilitated and declined. They said he couldn’t eat and drink properly and a day after leaving he is eating just fine. Also they just let their patients fall and hurt themselves. If you care about your loved ones DO NOT let them go here. Also the social workers lie and cover things up. It’s disgusting

Negative experience: Some of the cna don't care about their job or the residents they don't have pride in their work disrespectful to the residents sleep on the job I would not recommend this place to anyone who has a sick family members

Positive experience: ** 9/28/2021 REVISED: ** Since my previous review, no less than 3 representatives from RCNR have reached out to me to help alleviate some of my concerns and disappointment. They were polite, sincere and apologetic to the situation. This revealed a better character, and an honest and genuine desire to help. I was encouraged by their eagerness to show me that they are not a low-performing facility, but one who has faced recent challenge and is working hard to overcome those. I reiterated a few general business concerns and they were taken into consideration and was told they would be brought up in staff meetings. Place looks good from the website and the person I know who is presently staying there has good things to say about the staff and the accommodations. I have revised, but leave, portions of my previous review because I want a record of my concerns while still showing that this facility, and it's staff take a personal approach when speaking with people rather than a stoic medical persona. I believe that they are heading in a good direction. Thanks for the follow-ups and I've revised my rating to 3 stars! I gave it 1 star because I was concerned about not getting anyone to answer the phone. At the time, I had no success in reaching the business line. I was concerned as the website said it was a 24/7 facility. I was frustrated because I was trying to talk to a family member there. They are apparently redesigning the phone system from a previous VOIP configuration. I was given a list of names and numbers to call as the staff follow-up with messages I left through their website 'Contact us' section. I think that the website should reflect the current status of communications (if they're out) with a restoration time and alternative contact means until it's up. A rollover phone to an answering service or at least a message giving people an alternative way to contact them within the facility could be doable in short order.

Negative experience: If I could have given less than a 1 star I would have. So much neglect in this building. You have to have a cold heart to send a family member here, or let them remain here. If you know what’s truly best, take your loved ones out. This facility needs to be shut down, no matter what the name is changed to. There isn’t one professional person working in this building. Negative experience: DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONES TO THIS PLACE. This has to be one of the most neglectful unprofessional nursing homes I have ever seen from staff all the way to the head management and director... they Run their faculties Based on Intimidating there Residence the night staff reeks of marijuana as well as giving patients the wrong meds call lights be on for hours. Patients are being neglected. So much in the nursing home. The p.t. and o.t staff is completely different like night and day they're on the job. It's so disturbing to kno that ant the end of the day dont allow your love one to be placed here

Negative experience: The staff constantly bring COVID into the facility my mom now has COVID and she doesn’t even be around anyone so she’s paying them to live there and they bring COVID should be a lawsuit coming

Negative experience: My aunt was in this nursing home and I saw first hand how poor her medical/lack of treatment was.
