Athletico Physical Therapy - Rockford Downtown

Fantastic experience: I came to Athletico under a Work conditioning therapy program and I couldn't have been any happier. My OT, Nikki H. was beyond amazing, Emily the PT was great, her assistant Sabrina, Tracey, and Ashley, ALL we're very professional, engaging, approachable, they work very well together and it shows because they project the same attitude towards their clients! I graduated today and feel so Blessed cause I'm in a much better place than when I started. The encouragement, tips, information given for your physical health can carry you well into life after you leave. I would recommend this group (downtown Rockford on Jefferson Street) to anyone. The facility is nice and clean, the equipment is well taken care of, and you're greeted with BIG smiles everyday and who doesn't need that? I'm going back to visit this beautiful group of women, I consider them Friends. Again, thanks girls for being you.

Fantastic experience: I don't believe there is a better place for PT in this city. I have gone to PT numerous times before, this was the first PT facility that I was always happy/excited to go. Emily and Sabrina know what they're doing, but they also make it fun. They will be my only PT facility anytime in the future.

Fantastic experience: The Rockford office staff are exceptional. Dr. Emily is an amazing therapist. Motivating, engaging, and knowledgeable, her programs produce results. Assistants Marie and Tracey are encouraging and compassionate. Receptionist Allie greets everyone with a smile and is efficient with scheduling and billing. It's obvious they enjoy working together, which makes it a pleasant experience for the patient. Thank you, Emily, for the difference you've made in reducing my pain while improving my walking gait. I'll be climbing stairs again soon.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience at Athletico's Rockford facility. The staff was so friendly and courteous, offering me water and coffee when I arrived. My Therapist, Emily Norman was the best!!! Her knowledge and professionalism was more than I expected. She was an excellent listener and when the treatment started, she was gentle but very effective in handling my injured areas. I am so thankful to her for relieving some of the pain I had for months! Thank you very much Athletico, you're the best!!

Fantastic experience: Athletico Physical therapy was the best place I could have been sent to to get help in my recovery! David went above and beyond to what any other physical therapist did for me along with the whole Athletico team. I had gone to other physical therapists for my plantar fasciitis I was starting to feel discouraged when other “specialists” kept telling me that this would be a lifelong condition that I would have to live with for the rest of my life, but David didn’t take that answer as an option, he went straight to work and treated me. And low and behold little by little the pain started to go away, when we would hit a speed bump David would go out of his way to look at other options to keep moving forward in my recovery and did not give until there were results. Although it was a long and tough process months later I’d swear it was like I never had this condition to begin with because it’s now practically all gone! Almost a full year of my life being limited with this condition and thanks to David I can now start picking up the pieces and get my life back on track and even better than before too because thanks to David and hi advice and direction I even managed to lose more than 25lbs in just a short month and a half and gain more self confidence in myself and preparation to my future career in Nursing and it’s all thanks to him. In the end and after a long process I walked in with a therapist and walked out with someone who I now consider a good friend. So if anyone is looking for a therapist that will go above and beyond that really cares and will do everything he can to make sure you come out better than when you walked in the David is your therapist to ask for!

Fantastic experience: Came in with a shoulder/back problem, David was able to work with me and got me feeling a lot better. David does a great job. I also worked with the Pt Aid Jake who was also great. Awesome staff very professional and knowledgeable, loved my experience! Would HIGHLY recommend this location!!

Fantastic experience: David, Ashley Jake and Zach were fantastic in all aspects of my son’s care. Scheduling, communication and treatment were all truly excellent. I give them my highest recommendation. Miles especially appreciated David’s knowledge and specialized treatment.

Fantastic experience: My 2 yr old daughter developed a radial head subluxation after being swung in circles by her wrists by an older sibling. We've all done this before with our little ones! She was miserable, unable to get on or off the couch by herself or use her arm at all. Well after a trip to the ER and her pediatrician who both did some range of motion techniques and were unsuccessful, I let the therapist at this location, David, take a look at her. He was extremely patient, let her warm up to him for at least 30 min while he played with her. After about no more than 5 min of him trying some moves, he felt the snap and she instantly stopped crying and within 10 min she was back to herself, playing. He stated he had never done this before but with his knowledge and research he knew what he needed to do. I will forever be grateful!!

Fantastic experience: I have been to a lot of Physical Therapy in my life and this Athletico location is by far the best I have been too. I had an issue with my shoulder for years that no one could give me any answers too. I was written off and discharged from multiple locations because they couldn't help me. It wasn't until I was recommended to David at this location that I finally found someone as dedicated to my problem as I was. I'm a fitness fanatic and David was a kindred spirit for me. He enjoys fitness more than I do which was such a relief to find. Someone who knew what they were talking about, and was willing to share all the information with me and answer any questions or concerns I had. Even if the question didn't have to do with my injury, he would entertain them because he enjoys it. He put as much time and care into my health as I do, which is more than I could ask for. He would even put in time off the clock to help me as much as he could because he lives and breathes Physical Therapy, and I commend him for it. I would also be remiss if I didn't mention Ashley, the Office Coordinator. She was always helpful in rescheduling my appointments and fitting me in where she could. I looked forward to coming too this Athletico because she was always such a breath of fresh air. Every appointment I had she was always there and in positive state of mind when I showed up, which was a nice change of pace from my past experiences. This is the only rehab facility I will recommend to someone because I know first-hand the amount of time and effort put towards the patients is second too none.

Fantastic experience: David and his staff are beyond helpful. He was quick and accurate of my diagnosis and even corrected problems I didn’t come in for. With his help I’ve made a full recovery after experiencing significant whiplash. His attention to detail is why I recommend him. Along with being friendly, a good listener and having positive attitude; David is incredibly knowledgeable and an effective communication. Whether you problem is big or small, David can cure it all.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for someone who is not only compassionate & personable, but highly knowledgeable and motivated to get you through the most speedy and functional recovery…… then Dave at Athletico is your guy. He will take a difficult and sometimes painful situation and give you the motivation to overcome your limitations. From hard-hitting exercises that push you, to explaining how each part of your body functions and correlates to your recovery. He’s the man for the job! He was able to help me not only through recovery, but gave me the tools to achieve success even after my physical therapy sessions were completed. Everyone at Athletico embodies professionalism and courtesy. From the receptionists Ashley, who is simply amazing and always on top of it; to the assistant aid Jake, who constantly pushes me to do my best & always reminds me that I can do it even when I think it’s not possible. They all CARE, and I can’t imagine any better care anywhere else. Going to miss this place! I Highly recommend this Athletico location.

Fantastic experience: Most times, when I take the time to write a review, it's for negative reasons. This is not the case today. Initially, I chose this location because it was closest to my home. I am glad I did. From the very first session to the last, I was was treated with the utmost respect and was given the best physical therapy I have ever received. The physical therapist, David, is very knowledgeable and definitely knows his stuff. He was patient, kind, and was very encouraging throughout my treatment. He took the time to explain things and made the process a lot easier. The rest of the staff, Ashley and Jake, were always professional and they deserve to be mentioned here as well. I will use this location and therapist for any and all future pbysical therapy needs in the future. I highly recommend this place and this therapist.

Fantastic experience: I went to Athletico Downtown after I injured my bicep in November. David was very thorough in examining my injury and providing an assessment into the details of my injury. He developed a regiment of exercises and therapy that would allow me to regain strength and mobility without having to resort to surgery. Over the next 6 weeks I was able meet 2 times a week with David and staff to rehab my bicep. The staff was more then accommodating in helping me fit therapy into my busy schedule. After the 6 weeks I was almost back to full strength. David, Jake, and Ashley do a tremendous job with the Athletico Downtown Rockford facility. They create a warm friendly atmosphere and treat their patients with respect. I am very happy with the treatment I received and my final outcome. I would highly recommend this Athletico location to anyone who is looking for a friendly experienced staff that will help get you back to 100%.
