Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about the staff here! My father has been here at this wonderful facility for nine months now. He had a bad spill down our stairs in the mountains and neck and back injured significantly. From the time we walk in the door and get greeted with a smile from Lluvia, to all the amazing staff that feed, Clean and dress him…I’m grateful behind words! All the nurses and CNA‘s have been amazing, above and beyond every single day. I’m here with my father from noon till night time every day and I see the hours these amazing people put in day in and day out. They are not only caregivers but feel like family now. Jose and his whole Maintenance staff have made us comfortable during this difficult time. The physical therapy department has won both of our hearts with all of the extra help they give my father. Karla, Kevin, other Kevin and Maggie… Not to mention Manny and Brian have been angels to us every single day. Dad was paralyzed when he came and now walking down the halls with a walker a little better everyday. Admin here help my father get the extra time he needs to heal and get stronger and we are appreciative behind words. This place is amazing, trust them with your loved ones…I do.

Fantastic experience: “I have had the opportunity to visit the facility on several occasions, and each time I am greeted by a warm and inviting front desk staff. During my visits, I have encountered several of the staff members, all of whom demonstrate an unwavering commitment to patient-centered care. Their compassion and empathy toward both patients and their families is truly commendable. The facility itself is meticulously maintained, with pristine rooms and immaculately clean hallways. On one occasion, I observed the distribution of meal trays, and the food appeared both appetizing and thoughtfully prepared. Without reservation, I would highly recommend this exceptional facility.

Negative experience: Some of the staff were very friendly and understanding My mother was at the center for about a week or so after being in the hospital, while at the center she fell on October 31st I visited the next day and she was in a lot of pain and wasn’t able to get an X-ray until a day and a half later the med nurse just kept telling me she already asked for X-rays and she gave her something for the pain. Hospital called me to let me she fractured her hip, and the after her surgery Highland Palms didn’t accept her back they said she was trying to elope and they never informed me even though I visited everyday accept one day.

Negative experience: This facility allowed my friend to sit in fecal material for over an hour while he is ringing for a nurse to help. He calls us who then call the front desk and advise them of the situation and suggest that they do their jobs only to have the patient berated on front of other patients and told to never do that again because they are short staffed on weekends and he will just have to wait his turn.

Fantastic experience: Initially I was confused. I had never Been as sick as I was. Over time I began to feel a little bit better,and was happy to be there. I knew there was no way I could take care of Myself. The staff were very accommodating, to the point if you wanted a snack that they didn't have,just give them the money and the administrator would see that you got it. That is of course if it Was something that wouldn't harm you. As I got better I had to do physical therapy. Mostly walking to strengthen my lungs, and my body. I also started getting visits from the cafeteria Staff. I lost weight too fast and they thought I didn't like the food. But, I did. So I bought some Snacks,and they came back saying I needed to tone down the snacks. The better I felt, this became an on going joke, for me. I can't think of too many places where they take care of you. You get three meals a day, with snacks. Your own personal TV, they wash your cloths, change your bedding, talk to you if you are lonely or sad. Yet always respectful, even when you are not. I have heard people complain, but I realized these people have complained all their lives, because that is What they do. I was there for (4) years.

Fantastic experience: My honest opinion is that they have all their stuff on point and the process of getting into the facility and also the facility is very beautiful and very clean and the people their are so kind.

Fantastic experience: Therapy has been so helpful. Tiwi and Alice helped me get onto a wheelchair when I thought I count do it. But with their kindness and assistance I was able to. I would recommend therapy with these two therapists if you are looking into getting back to your normal self.

Negative experience: Worst healthcare center lvns are the worst caretakers especially Blanca she is the worst gonna kill my mother because she has many boyfriends coming to take stuff from her I am regretting

Fantastic experience: I want to say that I had a wonderful experience in therapy. Therapy was an explosion in my brain all the therapists are wonderful. I'd like to say thank you to Jackie Alice gio and all the rest. They were my main therapists. I got excellent movements back in my body that I thought I had lost. Through their hard work i got some feelings back. Thank you very much my new family. Thank you to the new cook. The beans were delicious and the oatmeal is excellent. To bad I'm leaving.i would look next to what you would have cooked. And also thank you to all the nurses and CNA I think I don't want to go home. They're all so good to me. So good I can't single one out. Wonderful stay. If I get sick again I'm coming back.

Fantastic experience: First; my opinion is based on our personal experience, my mother stayed there for 3 weeks after her surgery. My respects to any others who had commented about this place. Here we go: The facilities: Very clean and organized. The cleaning crew work all day long from room to room making sure it’s clean and disinfected. The personnel: They all very very nice and always asking us if everything was fine. They really care about my mother’s well being. The nurses: They travel with medicine carts giving all the patients their meds making sure they all get them on time. Social Services: Always looking up for my mother benefits and what ever she needed for and after the stay. The therapy crew have all they need to keep in shape the patients plus their proper therapy as needed depending on their situation. Thank you to everyone GOD bless you all. Special thanks to: Damian, Chloe, Enedina, Amri , Mimi, Laura, and many others. We are very happy with your service and honestly…”your patience”. I know is hard to deal with elders specially when they are grouchy and restless.

Fantastic experience: I was a patient at Highland Palms for three months. With the wonderful care of the staff especially, Laura in Physical Therapy, I was able to return home at the end of that time. What a Blessing it was to be a patient there. Rosemary K

Negative experience: I'm just going to get straight to the point if you have to be admitted in a skilled nursing facility or you have a family member that has to be admitted in a skilled nursing facility, PLEASE do not put them in Highland Palms. My brother had three trips back and forth to the hospital.. One of those trips, he himself had to call 911 because of the severe neglect from the medical staff. The last trip he taken to the hospital our family was never informed about it. It wasn't until a week went by and my brother never answered his cell phone or the phone in his room. Our family began to worry about him. I called and talked to the nurse and he told me my brother was fine. He was just tired and was resting. I don't live close to Highland Palms. So it wasn't easy for me to jump in the car and run over there. BUT I was getting ready to come down to check on him in person but before I did I attempted to call one more time to see if I could talk to another nurse to see if I could possibly get any information. I did get ahold of a nurse. He did inform me that my brother was sent to the hospital with respiratory failure problems. I immediately called the hospital where they informed me. He went from the emergency room straight to ICU and put on a ventilator we never did get to say "Goodbye" to my brother as he passed away. I can't tell you how much our family hurts. And how upset we are with this place. All I can do right now is tell everyone that is reading my review do not come here. Do not put your family In their care!

Negative experience: Highland Palms was chosen because of the good reviews it had. We put OUR trust, in these professionals to take good care of our loved one. 2 weeks ago, my family member, who had been at this facility for nearly the majority of the year, passed away. Ultimately, due to the GROSS level of negligence he received from this place. His immediate family was NEVER notified when he was transported to the hospital with severe phnemonia. It wasn’t until family called the facility because our loved one was not answering phone calls that we were informed he had been in ICU for a WEEK. By then, it was too late. His phenmonia had gone untreated for too long. A man who served for his country, risked his life for the freedom we all have today, deserved better. There is NO excuse. If you are far away, out of state, or simply not able to physically go check on your loved ones often while under their care, I do NOT recommend Highland Palms.

Fantastic experience: I was there in 2021 my stay at thishotel - the needles was the. Best all my nurses CNA's RVN LVN's everyone all Staff and of course the Director very professional and helpful you can definitely feel thecare and the Love

Negative experience: I was there for 12 days after total knee replacement to get the rehab i needed after surgery i only revieved 41/2. Hours of rehab. What i recieved was good but it seemed like the whole hospital is in caos covid didnthelp.i wish i had something better to say some of the staff were great but then there were others that ruuned it for the good ones

Negative experience: This place is a joke. My grandfather is a Vietnam war veteran and they did nothing to help. They listen to your phone calls he complained they brought him cold food. We said we were going to pick him up they put him in a cold room no blankets with two other COVID patients he didn’t have COVID. They would call the phones at 11pm and 2am to wake him up. They are abusive and need to be shut down.

Fantastic experience: i came to highland palms needing care for my left hip and large bedsore i i got at Redlands hospital and i needed a place i could feel i would get proper care until i could return home . i must be honest i did not want to go anywhere but home but once i got to Highland Palms and got situated i truly felt safe and i was totally impressed with the entire facility and for me that should have come here after my hip surgery in the first place and now i know how great this facility truly is i would come back to rehab no questions asked , for me it has been a blessing and i would and have voiced my feelings of how much i was impressed with the level of care i received and that was from the Staff the Nurses actually everyone went above my expectations and i will come back if ever i need the care again. i was in another facility a little over 2 years ago and i was there for 5 months and it was ok but nothing near the level of care i had in my stay at Highland Palms and i just needed to say how much my family appreciated how they treated me while I was healing. from OT to PT to the entire staff in the office ,i was cared for with professionalism and with everyone dealing with COVID19 they all had that on their plate but everyone went by the book and no complaining they all were positive and explained all the reasons for what was to avoid Covid19 and it made me feel safe so i wanted to pass this on to you. this facility completely deserves 5 Stars . The first thing to impress me was the greeting from Daniel the administrator and the staff that was still there as i was brought in on a Friday night after 6 pm but they were here to welcome me in and appreciated that extra special treatment . from the front to back they are exceptionally the best facility and i would recommend anyone to come to rehab at Highland Palms . my deepest appreciation to everyone for such a wonderful experience and they deserve ***** thats five5 stars Moyca Riley a very happy patient.

Fantastic experience: DD and her staff At Highland palms Health care center was wonderful, kind, understanding and helpful. The staff at Highland Palms worked very hard to make my parent feelcomfortable. My 68 year old father had a really bad stoke DD and her staff did everything in their control to make my father feeI safe. I felted cofadent that my father was in good hands. Now my father is home doing very well. I would recommend this facility for anyone looking for a staff that cares ❤.

Negative experience: My 89 year old father experienced a fall and was sent to this facility for “rehab” after release from the hospital where he remained for approximately one week. Due to Covid protocol no visitors were permitted so family members were not permitted to tour or visit the location. While I understand this is a rehab facility, they may not be properly equipped to accommodate memory care patients, however, that should not be an excuse for leaving a human being laying in a bed for a week. During his stay he was not provided ANY rehab, nor basic hygienic services. He was left laying in his bed. During this nightmare he developed bed sore on his back and heels. The staff were rude and inattentive not only to him but family’s inquiries as well. Thank goodness his primary retirement housing facility acted on his behalf and transferred him back to The Villas in San Bernardino where he was offered hospice to aid in his recovery where he has flourished. This is a nightmare which no person or family should have to endure. We will be conducting follow up with the appropriate entities to open an inquiry regarding this facilities operation.

Negative experience: El peor lugar!! Mi tío estaba en este lugar y fue contagiado de covid-19 y que hicieron??? Lo aventaron al hospital de Redlands sin ninguna información de nosotros los familiares, esto pasó el sábado octubre 3-202.Una trabajadora social agarró información de nosotros atravez de su seguranza por que ningún personal de este lugar fue bueno para avisarnos y mucho menos tratar de investigar sobre su paciente.lo único que dijo su supervisor al enterarse que mi tío salió pósitivo al covid-19 fue “lo siento mucho”.por favor si quieren a sus familiares no los hagan pasar por este lugar nosotros estamos muy arrepentidos por que ya no podemos hacer nada por mi tio lo llevaron muy tarde al hospital.

Fantastic experience: My mother in law was at Highland Palms for almost 2 years. They went above and beyond for her as well as our family. It's never easy putting a family member in someone else's care, but this facility made the whole transition smooth and easy for us. I cant say enough about their rehab. They are truly amazing and caring, nursing is top notch. Their Administrator and Director of nursing are hands on and available 24/7! Which you wont get at most places. Without a doubt i would recommend having your loved one here.

Negative experience: This is about the worst place I can imagine being sent to for recovery. They are unable to provide even basic care to their patients. The nurses are unavailable when you need them. They do not have basic medical equipment or supplies to care for their patients. I do not recommended this facility. I had to hire Uber and have my needed medical supplies delivered to their facility because they didn't have the needed supplies. Extremely difficult to deal with. 3 out of 5 times I called, no one even answered their phone.

Negative experience: This facility is a joke. They said they specialize in dementia care but yet they don't know how to handle a dementia patient. Instead of making sure that my grandpa was taken care of and discharged correctly, because they didn't know how to take care of him, they sent him to another facility without my families knowledge! I would not recommend having your loved one come to this facility for any type of care. They are negligent and have no code of ethics or moral care.

We offer many amazing services that I can attest to witnessing a resident coming in near letting go of life to walking out of this place with high hopes and faith that we’re not all bad out there. We try our best to attain that gold standard and be the best we could be so our legacy is not something anyone will ever forget about! Fantastic experience: My mom had pneumonia and became weak as a result of the infection. She was hospitalized for a couple of days and discharged to this facility for IV antibiotic therapy and physical therapy. I was reluctant at first. I was very vocal about my reluctance to the case manager at the hospital who assured me that this is a great facility. That case manager was 100% correct. I was unaware of how wonderful the care would be. Within days she was regaining her strength. Abby is such an amazing physical therapist. The nurses were well trained, explained everything so well but most importantly very caring.

Fantastic experience: My Husband was there.. He says very nice things about the Nurses. Everyone is always so pleasant. I just wish that someone would get him up everyday, even on Saturday. His diabetes blood sugar goes up if he doesn't have Activity everyday. Otherwise, Highland Palms Healthcare is a clean, organized SNF. Thank you Shady and staff. Mrs. Pat Belyeu.

Negative experience: If I can give it a negative 5 stars believe me I would, first of all the workers are lazy and don’t even watch there patients, 2 they hardly ever come when the help button is pushed, they could be choking or something but nope they don’t care, 3 when my grandma was over there she fell out her wheelchair not once not twice BUT 3 TIMES!! And on top of that waited till the next day when it happened AGAIN to tell us, glad my grandma left that hell hole of a place that for some reason has a 4.4 rating

Fantastic experience: This is a great facility my wife's grandmother is here and she is always taken care of.. the staff goes above and beyond to meet her needs.. it's very clean..

Positive experience: The staff are friendly when you get to know them. Had some communication problems with staff and some residents at first but eventually things were more understood on both parties. It's better than some others I've heard about. Could maybe use some more night staff and on weekends so patients don't have to wait so long.

Fantastic experience: EXCELLENT FACILITY! My dad is a disabled Veteran (100% service connected) and this facility kept him well. The VA was funding my dad's care and ended up declaring him high functioning Parkinsons. They then ceased all funding & kicked him out. Staff went to bat for me and helped me present my case to the VA reps. I argued that my dad was a mess when he checked into Highland Palms and that this facility finally got him stable and I felt they were releasing him too soon. I also argued that he would go downhill once he was moved and that is exactly what has happened. VA kicks him out then 2 months later (after so many emergency visits) tells me he now needs skilled nursing. My dad's case is once again being reviewed for skilled nursing. If approved, I pray this facility has an opening and I pray that he can stay indefinitely. I want him back here.
