Valley House Rehabilitation Center: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Great staff here taking care of my brother Henry! Kareem goes above and beyond to take care of these residents! The facility just got there floors done and they look amazing. Overall very happy with the service and care that my brother is receiving.
Fantastic experience: I was transferred to SC Post Acute after a severe stroke with the inability to walk. Mary Ann and Dr. Min took care of me during the whole process. Bena, Director of Nursing, went beyond the call of duty for my day-to-day care. I will be forever grateful to them and all of the staff. The rehab team of Taku and Mercedes gave me confidence and were the reason I have improved my range of motion. Five stars to SC Post Acute for preparing me for my next chapter and helping me after leaving. - Jeffrey From family: Santa Clara Post Acute (SCPA) responded to our concerns with professionalism. SCPA’s responsibility was to care for our cousin during a crucial time. His progress exceeded expectations. Post-stroke care is a long road and includes the involvement of family. Upon his departure, the care team provided us proper caregiver training and post care that went above and beyond. Jeff’s family is grateful to Bena, Mary Ann, Dr Min, Taku, Mercedes and the entire team.
Positive experience: My dad was admitted here after open heart surgery. All staff members are very cooperative especially Rubin maintenance guy , harsimran DSD and M aggarwal .
Negative experience: My mother is currently at this place.. it is very horrible at this place. My mother is getting neglected mistreated not giving her meds on time. This facility is not equipped to even be a recovery center. She has been there two days and my mother asked when she got there. Can I use the restroom they told her that she has to go to the bathroom in her diaper and when they get to her, they get to her. When you have a family member that’s in a rehab rehabilitation recovery center. The staff will act so different when you were there when the minute you leave. their patience. I will be removing my mother from this facility. This place needs to be shut down.
Negative experience: Called in to speak with a nurse and despite being transferred to the line by the secretary, no nurse picked up the phone. Extremely disappointed.
Positive experience: We have our Mom there for a few months now. It's a very tough job and overall we found the staff, nurses, CNA's are kind and friendly. Jessica was a great communicator and kept us updated all the time. Olga is super good at how to operate the bed, Amritpal is very helpful to resolve the issue in Mom's room. We would give a 5 star if it's not because Mom's phone charging line at her bed kept getting busted for unknown reason (kind of frustrating). We are very grateful that Mom is being taken care of.
Fantastic experience: My 86 year old mom with dementia broke her hip and was transferred here after surgery for 30 days of rehab. We stayed with her for good portions of the time. Enough to see the day to day environment and level of care provided. We were blown away by how kind, professional, supportive, patient, and caring the entire staff was not just to mom but to others we observed as well. From housekeeping to admin, the team was amazing. The nursing care, PT, OT, and support staff exhibited a patience and level of warmth throughout some very difficult moments. This was our first exposure to the healthcare industry on this level. There were some really difficult patients, including my mom, that due to pain or other ailments were challenging to care for. Yet, the entire staff that we observed maintained their patience and caring demeanor regardless of the challenges presented. I am so so impressed with this profession and the truly amazing team at Valley House that does this work. They made my mom and our family's experience of a very difficult time so much better than it could have otherwise been but for their amazing care. We are forever grateful to the Team there.
Negative experience: This place is horrible. The restroom was sized for a little kid. The bed mattress was to big for the bed it was put on. I was suppose to elevate my leg but when I did the mattress no longer was properly positioned. I arrived around 4 pm told nurse I would need my meds at 6pm. I didn't get my meds till after 10pm. The pain was unbearable. Felt like I was in a horror movie. Worst experience I ever had
Negative experience: No one. ever picks up the phone and when they do they put you on hold for an hour
Fantastic experience: I have actually gone to this Rehab four times in the past five years I believe and I if I have to go back, I will only go to Valley house. The people are great including the Rehab the activities, the kitchen everybody there treated me so good. In fact, I even cried when I had to go home, but I made a lot of friends here. I recommend everybody if you need to go to rehab go there you will not regret it.
Fantastic experience: I was there for one month after my work injury. The staff was very loving and caring and I also received excellent wound treatment. This is why I give it a five star review.
Fantastic experience: I was worried about staying here but it was close to my home so I took a chance. It was GREAT! Staff were very kind. Not all were perfect, but overall I can not complain. I'm home now.. enjoying my sweet doggy... Thank you team Valley House for never giving up on me.

Negative experience: This facility is awful, they disrespect and abuse their patients. They are under staffed and hire unqualified people.
Fantastic experience: I went there very nice place and good service staff!
Negative experience: Our mother was here for 18 months and though there are some good, caring staff, the management team and others are terrible. No communication whatsoever and subpar care. Find another facility. Don't place your loved one in this one.
Negative experience: Poor service and communication from staff , major disconnect from staff in front office to operations staffing
Negative experience: My ex was taken there for EOL and it was horrible. When he passed his phone was stolen. We made complaint and they will always give us the run around. The phone didn't matter to us, what matter was what was in that phone. People have no shame. Just when we were about to file a police report, the phone magically was found.
Negative experience: Very scary place to leave your loved one,Don't do it!
Negative experience: I would give this place 0 stars. My husband was there for a little over 2 weeks. When I was finally allowed to see him he was in the same clothes I brought him in 14 days earlier. He smelt horribly. He said they always told him to shut up when he asked for anything. Worst of all he had a horrific heel infection which was not cared for. I had him transferred out of there the next day to Sequoia Hospital, where he underwent a debridement of his heel. Unfortunately, it was gangrene and into his bone. Thankfully, he is in a new VA facility and being well taken care for.
Fantastic experience: The staff goes above and beyond to care for their patients. They were able to help my mom walk again. My brother is in long term care and they are so attentive to all patients.

Positive experience: This is one of the better facilities of this type in the area. The facility is kept clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and attentive to the needs of the patients. There are long term and shorter term patients. The dinning rooms are large and clean. The WiFi and TV works well. The food is ok, they work hard to provide good meals. If you need a care place this is one to consider.
Positive experience: People overall work very well together in this location and you see are on top of things and their schedules thank you for having me here.
Negative experience: absolutely horrible place not clean and majority of staff is rude you quickly get a feeling that they are just there for a paycheck and doesnt care I would never put any family there
Negative experience: If I can not give them any stars I would I’m a ex Employee there let me tell you they treat there patients realy bad there call light will turn on and I wasn’t a CNA I was a hospitality aid making beds passing out ice and checking on the patients For example I would ask if they need help of course they did so i would let the staff know about it they would acknowledge it but didn’t go Assit the patients I didn’t have no way on assisting them because we can’t work hands on with the patients because I wasn’t a CNA this place is horrible please don’t bring your love one here!!!!!!
Fantastic experience: I had the best health. Care of anywhere. That I have ever been treated from the housekeeper to the great. Caregiving to me by the wonderfull. And caring nurses. Directer. Of activing. Emanuel. Ruben transportaion. (Sara) cnn beautfull People who work here Thank you for the way I was treated. Love you all John Esparza
Fantastic experience: The Valley House Rehab was the only place I can recommend. My mom was very much cared for 24/7. I had peace of mind everytime I'm away from my mom. The staff updated me in a very timely manner to keep our mom safer, healthier & stronger each day. Thank you to everyone & more power to Valley House Rehabilitation Cent
Negative experience: If you don't care about how your family is treated or taken care of, This is the place to send them. NEGLECT !!!!! My grandma fell out of her bed and didnt get help until 2 hours later when they found her on the ground. Black eye, bloody nose and they thought it was a good idea to just put her back in bed. They also NEGLECTED to change out her adult diapers bc it "wasn't time yet, even though she had soiled them. This place, like many others in the bay area need to be audited and investigated on how they treat their patients .
