Vargo Physical Therapy

Fantastic experience: Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Always available if you need help. The facility is very clean and well organized. The exercises are thoroughly explained, as is the app for home work making it easy to keep up your progress. I have been very comfortable with this program and the people that have worked with me. Glad that I chose this location

Negative experience: The lady working in the front and her name is Andrea, very unpleasant and unprofessional with clients. That is why I will never go back.

Negative experience: I had shoulder surgery at the end of July and was directed to this place for my physical therapy. I was making good progress until I was given an exercise that caused me pain and harm. I believe they gave me the wrong color (strength) band to stretch laterally. When I returned home after a short ride in my car from Vargo, I could hardly move my arm. Something felt terribly wrong, and I was in great pain. The next day, I couldn't move my arm at all, so I went to see my Dr who told me that due to this apparent re-injury I had to stop physical therapy for a couple of weeks to let the inflammation go down, and he prescribed an anti-inflammatory medication. After two weeks, the pain did ease up a little, but I ended up with a frozen shoulder. I could not move my arm. My Dr said I could go back to physical therapy and basically start all over again in the hope that we can avoid secondary surgery. However, when I called Vargo to make an appointment, I was told that they had no room for me anymore for at least 2 months! It felt like first they re-injured me, then they simply discarded me because obviously I could not wait two months! To make the matter worse, I was supposed to return to work in November, but thanks to their horrible mistake without any accountability, this is January and I STILL cannot go back to work because my job is not a desk job, it has some physical requirements, like being able to lift my carry-on luggage over my shoulder on a plane to put it in an overhead bin. I have gone through a very painful but productive rehabilitation at a much better physical therapy place called Theracare on Lyons Avenue to get my shoulder moving again. I am getting closer now because Theracare really cares. They provide a personalized, innovative, and closely monitored treatment that REALLY works, including weekly cold laser treatment, which I've never seen at Vargo, but it is really working great for me. And I always feel like I'm treated with great respect. Compared to Theracare, Vargo treats people like cattle. They have you move from one station to another with very little supervision, like in a crowded gym, and you almost never see the same person. They just check off boxes as you do the exercises, and when you're done, you leave. I felt that no single person cared about my progress, like they do at Theracare. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Had I known about Theracare to begin with, I'm convinced that I'd have been back at work in November.

Fantastic experience: Everyone here has been extremely helpful in my recovery. Rose and Andy are always very pleasant and helpful with my therapy exercises. I also want to thank Gerrard as he is always eager to help me and makes sure I do my exercises correctly. He does so much for so many people and is there for everyone. He is always busy and is a step ahead in his job. Thanks, Gerrard for all you've done for me. I also want to thank Corrina as she takes the time to talk to me about concerns I have regarding my AFO and seems very informative. Thanks again Sandy Talignani

Fantastic experience: Rose, Matt and all PTAs are so great and personable and make me laugh and feel comfortable! When I first went there my total knee replacement was stiff and in pain. After I started at Vargo I can now move my knee and have lots of motion!

Fantastic experience: Vargo Santa Clarita worked with me over a 2-3-month period in the spring/summer after my recovery from a serious spinal nerve injury. A few years earlier I had gone to a different SC Valley PT, and I can say without hesitation the attention and care I received at Vargo was significantly more focused and effective. Their approach is hands-on, and I like their practice of having all PT assistants available for all the patients during their respective sessions. That keeps things moving along. Their PTs are top notch and their assistants are professional & attentive.

Negative experience: I was told they ran my insurance and cash, out of pocket payments would be $75 for first session, and $60 for each session thereafter. I paid each session and just received a bill for over $200. They never once told me those were estimates. Careful what you sign there because they will make it seem like the payments are already approved by your insurance and then you will receive a surprise bill which they will do nothing about. Very deceptive.
