Negative experience: It’s like pulling teeth to get **any** response or information from Dr Affleck or his staff. Phone calls go unanswered, voicemails are not returned, and even prescription refills are incredibly challenging to get responses. If you care at all about your health and well-being, go elsewhere.

Negative experience: I was very happy with Dr. Affleck when it came to orthopedic issues. After I got my first Covid vaccination, I came down with a high fever, chills, weakness. Symptoms lasted for almost two weeks, during which time my advice from the doctor was to drink more fluids and eat antioxidants. He never asked to see me. I ended up in the hospital for five days with pneumonia, after getting seen at Urgent Care. I've since switched doctors.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Affleck is awesome. Always listens to me. And is really able to get to the bottom of my issue. He pinpoints exactly what is going on to the point that we are able to deal with the issue and resolve it.

Negative experience: Sad why have appt over hr n half people after her went in waited till she was the last 1 90yrs old n this how u get treated but don't b late whole different story! Service not professional at all

Negative experience: I have a valid health exemption from receiving the covid vaccine and yet this physician will not allow me in. It's ridiculous, everybody knows that vaccinated people spread the virus just as well as unvaccinated people. This is discrimination. I do not recommend this place. The best key to prevention is hand washing, wearing a mask if you have symptoms, filling out forms advising if you have been in contact with people who have been sick. Discriminating against people who cannot receive the vaccine for health reasons is illegal, unethical and and demonstrates a profound lack of medical knowledge as to the fact that vaccinated people can spread the disease just as readily.

Fantastic experience: I’m glad to give this office an overall great rating. Though only a few visits (thankfully), my past visits over the years were good experiences. As of recently, I truly appreciate the help of all the receptionists who took care of my calls and requests. Even though I had to leave voice messages here and there, they were all responded to in a timely manner. As for my medical evaluation, I received reassuring information regarding the recovery of my condition. Thank you

Negative experience: By far the worst experience I've had with a clinic. I have only seen Dr. Afleck 1x during my initial appt in 2017. He's a very nice guy and easy to talk to. After that I was only able to make appts with his nurse practitioner Mara. She's also very personable and easy to talk to. She listens and seems supportive. However, when it comes to getting treatment and health problems resolved I wouldn't count on this clinic. I experienced a skin rash/pulp above my mouth and I was prescribed herpes medication to take daily for 4 weeks despite the rash not going away. I requested to be referred to a dermatologist MULTIPLE times but my request was denied. I was seen in the clinic and by then my symptoms were suppressed by taking Valtrex daily but as soon as I stopped it came back with full force. I had to literally deal with a rude, unempathetic lady (I think her name Diana or similar to that) who returned medical calls on behalf of the doctor many days later while I was suffering from this on my mouth that was so painful. I had to miss weeks of work due to this huge pus on my mouth and unable to face any one until they finally referred me to a dermatologist (months later) who said I was being overdosed with Valtrex when it was not herpes but hives. He prescribed me hydrocortisone and it went away! So basically I was keep being told to take Valtrex while denying my requests for a specialist. Again, My recent experience with the staff has been extremely frustrating. The NP agreed to refer me to a specialist for my condition and when I am finally following up and asked staff to order labs for me (requested by the specialist), staff does not get back to you at a timely manner even to just to give you an update. On top of that when you try to follow-up they give you attitude, especially the medical person who handles their calls. In addition, they sent me a bill to order labs for "private doc" when the NP herself had referred me to this clinic. I have had labs ordered by other practitioners for similar reasons and I was never billed just to complete a lab sheet. There is no clarification why I was billed and it' really hard to get an answer. If you want prompt, proactive treatment where you don't have to jump through hoops to get an answer, I would not go here. There is no way to communicate w/ the medical team other than a voice machine. I have had doctors at Kaiser and Sutter and staff immediately gets back to you re: concerns... but not here. They make you feel like you're asking for too much every time I reach out for services. Very slow approach to customer service and unfriendly staff!

Negative experience: If you're serious about healing, I wouldn't go with this practice. I booked a few appointments with Dr. Affleck to get to the bottom of my extremely swollen & painful knee. As per the pandemic, he was only seeing patients via zoom which is an extremely difficult way to make a true assessment on an injury. Nonetheless, I gave it a go and was vastly disappointed with my overall experience. Dr. Affleck is truly a nice guy, but I was unable to get any answers or make any progress on my injury. My last appointment ended with a 'potential' steroid injection to which I followed up with the front desk on (3 phone calls later to get ahold of them) & they mentioned not having the supplies and they would be in touch in a couple of weeks. I moved on to a more proactive practice, and they never followed up.

We have all been challenged by the Covid -19 pandemic. Dexamethasone (used for inflammation in patients with Covid-19), was not available for a time due to hospital demand, and prevented this office from using it for your knee. We consider this office as very proactive, and letting those most in need utilize this medicine as a priority, we felt was the most appropriate action at the time. We are sorry for your inconvenience and wish you the best.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best Sports Injury doctor around. I have injured myself several times over the years, and Dr. Affleck always gets me out of the injury. He is knowledgeable, patient, and gives you more time than any other doctor, never rushing you out of his office. I spent a year going to physical therapy and chiropractors trying to clear up a limp when I walked. When I finally saw Dr. Affleck for this issue, he gave me two exercises, and it cleared up the limp in one week. I couldn't believe it. I've seen him many times and I am forever grateful for all his help and expertise.

Fantastic experience: Best office. Dr. Affleck is great as are his Nurse Practitioners. They lay out all of my options and give suggestions as to what course they believe is best while allowing me to make an informed decision. The office staff are wonderful and really get to know you.

Negative experience: 1st time there I waited an hour past my appointment time to be seen. I was charged a new patient fee which was ~$100. Okay fine; could have giving me a notice before but okay. Doctor didn't really run any tests to figure out why my lower back hurt so bad for 2 years now. Said if I wanted to get surgery he'd recommend me for an MRI. About 2 months later I couldn't take it anymore and said fine I'll get an MRI, I'm ready for surgery if that's what it'll take. Called them to schedule an appointment, got a voicemail. Didn't get a call back for multiple days, so I called again, got a voicemail. Again no call back. Called two more times over the course of 2-weeks and never got a call back. Thanks for taking my money for a new patient fee and to not get any advice from the doctor, then never call me back again. One of the worst clinics I've experienced.

Negative experience: This doctors office does not answer the phone or return calls. This office sent me to collections without sending me any billing or making any attempt to contact me. The service I received was not helpful at all.

Fantastic experience: As a Best of Bohemian physician myself, I certainly know when I am being treated by a tremendously skilled physician. Although pleased with my HMO, I continue to go to an "out of network" superstar, Ty Affleck, MD, for sound advice on a myriad of medical and sports related questions. He gives sound counsel while encouraging me with targeted exercise. Still running and grateful. Thanks again Ty. Gary B.

Fantastic experience: I had the option to switch to this office after changes to my insurance. My leg was fractured and I heard many good things about Dr. Affleck. He is a great doctor and helped me get back into my exercise routine after the appropriate time. Chris is always helpful and responsive if I need to make an appointment. I've very much enjoyed all of my visits to this office.

Negative experience: Ty Affleck did nothing for me but collect insurance money. His receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional . I'm not even going to waste my time saying any more. Thank you Dr. Affleck

Negative experience: The doctor is great but his receptionist is terrible. She needs a new job on two different occasions she called me and scheduled appointments and both times when I arrived at the office she claims that I'm not on the schedule , I guess the appointment card she gave me meant nothing and she was unsympathetic about both situations . I really wish he would get a new receptionist but until he does I'll have to find a new doctor
