Negative experience: This facility is horrible from The ADON , Administration and other staff . He hires anyone no proper training or orientation, has employees lie about taking TB skin test !! No open door policy management is a joke !!

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend bringing any family members to this facility they are so unorganized this facility has used towels on my grandma the reason was because they didn’t have any wipes in that is unpredictable . Mr.Bihm is far the worst administrator ever he fires all the good cna’s for no reason , He is a colorists in doesn’t care about his workers or residents .

They are deeply hurtful because our team works every day with one goal in mind: to uphold the highest standard of care for our residents— because they deserve nothing less.

Leadership in this setting requires difficult decisions, especially when it comes to ensuring that every resident receives the safe, consistent, and respectful care they and their families expect. I realize that our high expectations aren’t always easy to understand from the outside, but they are made with the well-being of our residents in mind.

Positive experience: Kudos for The office staff at this facility. Everyone has treated me with concern as both my parents were residence here. My dad passed away October 12, 2024. His attendees were great towards him. My mom, who still resides here, has had several falls due to back problems and knee problems. She. also suffers with dementia. I have noticed that some of the staff does not seem to be as concerned as they should be in checking on their patients. I do not see anyone checking on her periodically. This is very concerning due to her falling and laying on the floor for 1 hour and 13 minutes before anyone came in her room. Though the office staff is great, some of the floor workers need to come up to par.

Negative experience: I am writing this on behalf of my sister who was a resident at this facility beginning in January 2024 until she was transferred in April 2024 to Willis Knighton South with fever and multiple bed sores. It was a down hill spiral for her in that short period of time due to obvious neglect on the part of the staff. Communication is non existent.Too many negative things happening.I would strongly recommend (regarding the management of this facility) to avoid this facility. I am very familiar with 25 years of working in the medical field to pay attention to a patient’s needs. This does not happen at this facility.

Negative experience: Well let's 1st start with around April 7th my mom escaped out of her bedroom window around 1 A.m. in morning walked all way down to Raceway across from Walmart the guy cashier called me little after 3 A.m. said my mom was there so we went picked her up called the guest house they didn't know she was gone she had pillows on bed covered up looking like she was in bed if they was doing their rounds every 2 hours like they r supposed to they could had seen what she did Then another incident happened she walked out with ppl there & was wondering around in parking lot I asked to see cameras & Reports and they are acting like they have a problem showing me I don't recommend that's why there review is only a 3.3 Yes it's a very beautiful place though I liked the looks of it Then not to mention my mother had her top dentures when she went there but they aren't no where to be found now & the guest house placed her into a different skilled nursing due to there neglence

Fantastic experience: As a patient of many nursing homes in the past 2 years this one has been the best. This place has been outstanding. The food and rehab I absolutely have no complaints. I have been at the guest house for about 6 months and the rehab department has gotten me ready to go back home. The administrator Chis Bihm runs a tight ship and always takes care of any problems I may have. The staff excellent I couldn’t ask for better care. The corporate administrator Rick Newell was very helpful in guiding me to the the nursing home that would best suit my needs. I am very appreciative of the care I have received.

Negative experience: "One Star" is being generous. I'm infuriated at the state I found my 85 year old mother who suffers from ( Dementia) and less than 4 hours of leaving her with the staff at this HELL hole. I'm in tears as I write this. I decided to check in on her before heading home. And there stood my mother without a stitche of clothes at the end of the bed trying to pull the sheets off , feces on everything. By the way, she was just released from the hospital with a Brainbleed/ seizures. It took over 40 minutes before anyone Took action on helping me get my mom cleaned up. This one nurse, which I was told was responsible for that ward. Would not even come in my mom's room. I was also told that they were short staff and No one had been assigned to my mother. ****Dumbfounded!!**** The room wasn't clean when we arrived .Check out the pictures below ....Walking ,with Miann, the Social worker. She _presented the facility as providing everything my mom WOULD needs, except ***CARE***. I Pointed out to her how nasty the bathroom , MY UNCLE Pointed out the lack of water pressure on the faucet . My mom was exhausted and so am I both mentally and physically having to use a scooter because of a recent surgery myself. *****HEAR ME CLEARLY **** EVEN AFTER HAVING A STAFF MEMBER CALL MISS MIANN*** ALL SHE SAID WAS , " I AM SORRY, I'M SORRY*** NOT ONCE DID SHE SAY, LET ME GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS **

Fantastic experience: My mom has been at The Guest House for several years now. Mom originally went to The Guest House for rehab after a fall at home, and she decided she would stay long term. Mom has settled in and enjoys Bible study as one of her activities. The staff is very attentive with her needs and keeps her as active as possible. As for the food her favorite oatmeal is in her tray every morning, food is always a concern when you have lost the ability to actually cook your own meals. Overall my experience as the family has been good one phone call and the A team is in the room and taking care of my concerns as well as my mother’s concerns. Special thank you to all that takes care of my mom on a daily basis to the best of their ability!

Negative experience: This place is awful. I would not send a dog to this place. They don’t take care of their patients. Had a very bad experience with them over my husband. Long story but let’s say when i had him discharged from that place and brought back home, he didn’t leave home in the shape he came back in. 3 days there and he returned home with a black eye, bruises, cuts on him, he was in pain when touched, and he was bleeding around his two front teeth. Now I’m having to live w knowing I sent him there. So please don’t send your loved one there. Please. U will be like me and will never forgive yourself if u do. Admistration there is awful. They hide info from you and make excuses for everything. Don’t fall for it. Place is very nice looking. It’s like the old saying goes what’s on the outside may not be on the inside and lord knows that is so true when it comes to this place. I beg you to reconsider if your checking into this place.

Negative experience: The Shreveportll location is terrible. My mother in law was sent here for rehab, the day shift has been wonderful but the night time is awful. It takes them over an hour to get to her room just so she can use the bathroom. She has trouble standing and need a little assistance getting up so she can't go on her own so when they take all that time she can no longer hold it well then they expect her to be able to clean herself and change the bedding w no help or wont help her stand. I wanted to stay but they dont give guest a places to sleep. They make you provide all ur own drinks and the place stinks. Would not recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: It’s 4:27 a.m. on 8/27/22 and I’m hanging out at The Guest House with mom on her last days. This has been a very emotional journey with difficult decisions to say the least. One of the most difficult was making the decision on a nursing facility and The Guest House was recommended and I’m so glad I listened! I can not articulate how impressed and thankful that am to all the staff here that has gone over and beyond in making my mom feel as comfortable as possible. Their smiles are genuine as well as their hearts. Thank you to Jay Williams, Assisant Administrator, Cecila Enriquez Admissions, Brittany Nurse wing 200 & 600, Angela Nurses aid wing 200, Hand in Hand Hospices Shannon and Denise, and so many more! Negative experience: I do not know how to even begin this. So here goes, IF YOU LOVE YOUR MOM, DAD, AUNT, UNCLE, BROTHER, SISTER ETC. DO NOT PUT THEM AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. The care they are given is not fit for a animal must less a human. Animals are treated better even in a pound. On the outside and during interviews you will be told all good things but it is a disguise. When the patient is admitted that's when the horror starts. I will not go into specfic but trust me, you do not want to deal or have to go through what we went through with our loved one who is no longer with us. Search your heart and soul before making the decision to place them here.

Negative experience: I spent 12 days there and every day was a living nightmare, only 2 of the nurses were nice to me the food was cold and horrible. I wouldn't never recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemy.

Fantastic experience: So we recently had a bitter racist employee post a awful review for our facility making false accusations against our administration and staff I cannot believe the audacity of this person if she wasn’t fired for being caught sleeping on the job then you would have never heard a negative review from her this is a very clean well maintained place not a lot of bs is tolerated and it’s apparent a bad apple Was thrown away for not doing her job the staff she labels is still doing a great JOB working here unlike her I’m glad she’s gone we don’t need the negative energy I’ve been an employee here 11 years and never had I been given a bad rep I love my job and my boss

Fantastic experience: My husband became ill and was diagnosed with an incurabble disease in Oct,. 2016. In Jan. 2018 we had to make the decision to place him into a full time Senior care Center. We chose The Brodford and placed him there. It was a mistake. In May 2018 we moved Paul to The Guest House in Shreveport. This was an answer to prayer! I met with Holl Tunstall and Chris Bihm to start the process. They both made me feel like family!:-). This was very important because I was giving them apart of my heart. Every concern I had they were able to ensure me their facility was equipped to take care of my husband physically and spiritually. We have been here 2 months now and my family has been very pleased. I would like to let everyone that works with Paul know how much we appreciate them. Cecilia Enviquez always makes sure Paul is involved in activities. Lauren Brooks works whth him to make sure he is as physically strong as possible! Zee Gipson and Rpbert Watts were the first people we met after the first interview, they are wonderful!! Kim and Andrea are his CNA's and they love him and take excellent care of him, making sure he is clean and happy! Paul is happy at The Guest House and our family is very pleased:-). I thank God for leading us to a home away from home. Thank you Holly for all the support! Thank you Guest House!

Positive experience: The staff are all very nice...my father in law was recently placed in the facility and no concerns yet..The nurse in red named Amanda was attentive and nice, she made sure we knew where to find her and that he will be in okay care.the young lady charge of the activities was very sweet and made sure my family knew where to find her too.. and that my father in law would be taken care of by her and her assistants. Very professional personnel and I don’t think I made a mistake by placing him here. Chris the administrator was very pleasant upon meeting him as well. Thank you Guest House for making our stay more at ease..

Negative experience: I would not put my dog in this place. The Administrator needs to be replaced. Care is horrible. Trying to get my cousin moved & they will not forward records to other nursing home.

Negative experience: I rate this place a ZERO!!!!!!!!! Not a good place to work at. The administrator doesn't care about the patients at all. He act like he do just to get them in there. He is all about the MONEY!!!!!!!! That's it nothing else.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a quality nursing home that will provide the best possible care for your loved one, this is the place. We have no regrets of placing our loved one there. The facility is always clean (no smells). And the staff are second to none. The administrators are the kindest, most understanding, caring, and accommodating people and I've experienced the same with the staff during my visits. Wish we had such a facility in my city!
