Negative experience: I really want to like this place. But they make it hard. First you have to be seen (it’s procedure) to go over your MRI results. They won’t tell you over the phone or let you take the next step in a treatment journey without sitting by the dr to read your results. So if you have a copay or are paying out of pocket- heads up it will be an additional visit. Also I was seen mid May- and am still waiting to be called to schedule my procedure. The best part- I was overcharged. There was a credit that was supposed to go out in the mail but weird… never got it. If you are in pain and need an ortho, the docs may be good the hurdles to get to them aren’t. Good luck. I’ve called 3x and emailed 3x. Run! Don’t walk, away.

Fantastic experience: Paige Handy is awesome, very knowledgeable and friendly. Her assistant Anna is also very nice. Ventura Orthopedics helped me for the 3rd time now, this time with a hand issue called radial nerve palsy. After a couple months of sessions here, I'm back to near full strength and I couldn't be happier! Thanks!

Negative experience: Before you get surgery read this especially if you are young & active in sports! I regret getting surgery with ventura orthopedic they lie to you & tell you that recovery is going to be quick & easy. I tore my ACL playing soccer & doctor told me that id be walking 12 weeks no problem 7 months I’ll be back to my normal activity’s. Well let me tell you that’s not the case. The physical therapy next to the orthopedic office is a scam too it took them a month just to get me in & such a big & beautiful facility but all the PT employees don’t care about you they put on a act to just get you in & out as quickly as possible they only work with you for 15-25 mins than they send you to there non experienced assistants. Bernadette and Brenda are terrible people they should be ashamed of their work ethics & old school teachings. If you do end up getting surgery forget about this physical therapy facility, if you are lazy, old or just don’t care about your self this is the perfect place for you. Find a different PT facility that cares for your needs. My best recommendation before you get surgery is just wait don’t rush it. There is research that your ACL does heal! I started walking 3 months in & started running a year & half, I did therapy 3 times a week for a year at a different location which saved me & did all my exercises. What they don’t tell you after surgery is your pain will never go away it always stay with you everywhere you go, your knee will be different & feel very uncomfortable even with you are just resting & sitting, recovery is longer than what they really tell you, your knee will crack everytime everyday. I really hope this helps someone & your decision don’t let them take advantage of you as they did to me. Get more opinions from different doctors. God Speed.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the service here, we continue to wait and wait and wait. to be moved to another waiting room, to wait some more. what's the point of having an appointment if you still have to wait a hour and a half after said appointment to be seen?!?! The dr is disrespectful and rude to parents, and staff just passes question off to the next person. Our appointment was at 3:45 it's almost 5 and we still have yet to be seen my the dr.

Fantastic experience: Workers are very nice, my daughter goes here for a knee and they really help her. Restrooms always clean, they disinfect their equipment after using so they are very organized and clean. I really recommend going here.

Initial assessment went smoothly and my therapist, Breanna, was compassionate and attentive while measuring, recording and guiding me through exercises. My next visit incorporated more exercises and shared conversation. I look forward to progressing through recovery in this caring environment and while gaining more strength and flexibility post surgery.

Fantastic experience: I have had 2 total knee replacements the first May 22,2024 and second on September 11,2024. I have had two very positive experiences with Ventura Orthopedics. Thank you to all the hospital workers at Los Robles and physical therapist in Simi Valley for doing their jobs so efficiently. Mostly I would like to thank Dr Turk. He is an amazing surgeon and took excellent care of me both times. This was the hardest thing I have ever done but the support I have received from VO made it a lot easier for me. I'm still doing the work and it's still hard at times but I am on the other side and am confident I will be 100% soon!!

Fantastic experience: It's not the setback - it's the comeback! That's what my graduation shirt says and it is so true. I am thrilled with the support and guidance that I received from Sydney and Jack and everyone at Ventura Orthopedic in Simi Valley. I came in fairly defeated with my lack of mobility after suffering a trimalleolar fracture and surgery. But from day one, my team picked me up and cared for me and gave me the support I needed to not only get my mobility back but get my spirits back up. Another great feature was the ability for the therapy team to communicate directly with my surgeon and his team. I give them my highest recommendation if you should ever need their assistance. I also learned that I am really good at picking up marbles with my feet - probably a useless skill - but fun to learn something new and have fun while getting back on my feet. There are days I come out of therapy and my leg and knee is totally a noodle from the work they had me put in to strengthen it, I’ve come along way with there help and support. Positive experience: Well run facility with but with over-reliance on PT assistants vs Actual Physical Therapists. Therapists were spread thin at times. I would have preferred more supervision by the therapist to focus on specific movements with which I was lagging. I would nonetheless recommend for cleanliness and efficiency.

Fantastic experience: I have been to Therapist who tell you what to do and then leave you. Never bothering to check if you are doing your excercize correctly. I would rather not need therapy but as long as I do this is the best place I have ever been. From the greeting when you walk in to everyone you work with I can't say anything negative. Fantastic experience: I’ve used Ventura Orthopedics in Simi Valley for several reasons in over the past 40 years. I had my first knee replacement in 2014. Since then I’ve had both knees replaced as well as surgery on both wrist using their PT afterwards. The top of my list of Dr.’s I owe gratude to is my primary Dr. Royal Dean. He took care of my primary needs & guided me to what speciallist I needed to see. What an amazing doctor he is. At Ventura Orthopedics in Simi valley I’ve always been treated with upmost respect from the staff, the surgeons & their aids, their PT also provided by them. Dr. Davis, & Dr. Feely were my surgeons & from my 1st visit I was treated as if I was their only patient . My replacement knee surgery was on February 20, 2024 & what an amazing change from my first visit in 2014. It started with the office staff answering phones, to the group phone calls with a 1 on 1 personnel advisor, to the hospital who provided a seminar that answered my questions, to the hospital nurses & staff who took care of me. I know i am missing thanking many staff persons but not enough room to name all. Most important is to GOD who promised to be there by my side. I am a very blessed 73 old (young) lady & with a NEW KNEE I’m ready to ROCK & ROLL again. SO A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL!! She is understanding and knowledgeable and compassionate. She knows about my issues and works with them while helping me. I have worked with most of the therapists now on different injuries and and I have really come to appreciate them. I hate leaving when my time is up, but I know that I have a safe place to be if I get injured again. Everyone should have a Sydney! I am not going ro say that every exercise is easy or pain free, but I will say they help and I will say that I learn a lot. I highly recommend this place if you need physical therapy!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been receiving physical therapy at Ventura Orthopedics Simi Valley for a work-related injury and I can’t say enough about how pleased I have been with them overall. You’re greeted kindly and welcoming by the staff the moment you walk into their treatment center which sets a relaxing tone for every visit. My therapist, Bernadette Hernandez, who came highly recommended is not only knowledgeable and experienced in her field, she cares about her patients. She takes the time to understand your injury so that she can implement the best treatment plan for you and explains every step along the way as well as what to expect. Not only has she gone over and beyond in my care plan (I do refer to it as “care” because that’s exactly what she does…cares very much for your recovery), I’ve seen her treat/care for other patients in the same manner. Additionally, she creates a tailored exercise plan (if applicable to your injury/treatment plan) and even follows up with you to not only see if you’re doing your exercises but also asks if the exercises are helping. That is something you don’t see often, if at all. Lastly, I have been very impressed with the level of knowledge, experience, and training I’ve seen (and experienced firsthand) from the Physical Therapist Aides with whom I have worked with. They are wonderful! The interaction with the office staff/team works well together, supportive of one another, and appears happy which makes for a great working culture. If you’re struggling with where to go for physical therapy, I highly recommend Ventura Orthopedics Simi Valley hands down. You’ll be happy you did! Grateful Patient Always, Tanya

Fantastic experience: I started my physical therapy at Ventura Orthopedics in Simi Valley, in January 2023. I could barely walk due to compressed nerves in my back. My therapist started me on a exercise program and with each visit he increased the level of endurance. I also was instructed to do exercises at home. I now am able to walk without the need to sit down after five feet am able to do most things without extreme pain. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs any kind of physical therapy . The office staff are so nice and ready to help you and answer your questions. My therapist, David and his assistant's are the best.
