Negative experience: **BEWARE** I took my 13 year old daughter in for right knee pain. Uriah evaluated her and recommended she start 3 sets of 15 - elevated squats, 3 times per day. A treatment plan for anyone, let alone a child to do 135 elevated squats, day one for knee pain is absurd to me. I sought out a second and third opinion, also specializing in physical therapy with athletes, and they all agreed the treatment could cause my daughter more damage and pain to her knee.

Fantastic experience: Great practice! I'm glad I came to this clinic while I was visiting my brother for Christmas! It definitely helped in my recovery from my meniscectomy surgery.

Fantastic experience: Charles and his team are real professionals they're super friendly and knowledgeable. My exercises were explained thoroughly and they have truly helped. I was experiencing severe neck pain I could hardly look over my shoulder but now the pain is gone and I'm getting stronger in my shoulders and back. I recommend this place of business to all that want to get better and thrive.

Fantastic experience: Charles is a very good personal trainer, his crew and him are always listening to your pain problems, in order to find a good solution while treating it there. They are very professional and I recommend them for any sport injuries or car accidents.

Fantastic experience: I have gone to several physical therapist’s in the past, but this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. Charles Gallagher is kind empathetic and very experienced physical therapist. He is a guide and educator during the process of recovery. I was impressed that I was not shuffled from one therapist to another, and that when his assistant Carson was there with me, Charles was nearby too. If you need a physical therapist, you won’t find another of his quality and expertise who would compare!

Fantastic experience: Had full knee replacement, started therapy second day . These group of professionals had me walking and bending the new knee in a couple weeks. Great rapport every secession something new. I’ve seen a lot of people come in with pain and leave with relief. 5 Stars great place

Charles was able to pinpoint the problem with my shoulder and provide the correct treatment immediately. After just a few weeks I am as good as new. Charles does a great job of explaining what each exercise addresses and gives clear instructions. I highly recommend The Institute, Charles and his professional staff.

Fantastic experience: Can't say enough good things about The Institute. My frozen shoulder was in great pain. Charles and Julie got me right in. After 2 weeks of therapy both in office and home I am nearly pain free. Charles analysis of my situation was spot on and his treatments and exercises really helped. These folks are friendly and welcoming and did a great job explaining what was happening and how the exercises would help. They sent me home with stretches and exercises to do at home that really sped up the process. I highly recommend The Institute and Charles and his professional staff.

Fantastic experience: One of the most effective physical therapy sessions I have experienced. I have been pain free after a left knee meniscal tear and did not require surgery , now after 8 months. Very clean facility, personable and skilled staff as well. Will reurn if needed any time!

Fantastic experience: Charles and Julie have created a friendly inspiring atmosphere. Charles has a way of reading people and finding the best way to motivate each person to strive for success. Julie is the glue that holds all the pieces together. And of course I can't forget Diego. He is a PT student from Whitworth and is always ready with encouragement and a smile. Overall a fantastic place to overcome the obstacles life throws at us.

Fantastic experience: I was a patient of Charles about nine years ago. Helped me immensely with my shoulder pre and post op. When I injured my back I requested the physical therapy be done at The Institute for Physical and Sports Therapy. Thought I injured my low back. Nope , turned out it was my pelvis . Charles quickly identified the problem . Started treating it. I came in tilting severely to the right at the waste. Walked out standing straight and very little pain. Charles and his staff do a wonderful job and are very careful with your treatment.

Negative experience: Owner yelling at people in parking lot. Rude and unprofessional. Honestly look somewhere else for physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had an incredible experience with the entire staff. Charles takes the time to understand what’s going on, explains what is happening in the body and how and why the techniques he prescribes will fix the problem. Julie is wonderful to work with on scheduling and handling insurance issues. I’ve used their services for three different issues over the last several years and could not be happier with the results and way I was treated. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for a place that will treat you right and help you heal quickly!

Fantastic experience: I have gone to physical therapy in the past and I never seemed to be satisfied. I recently tore my calf muscle and needed to go to one, so this one was a new place for me. I was skeptical, but I was walking in a week after not being able to put any weight on my leg for 6 weeks! I was given great exercises and explanations on what they helped and within 2 weeks, I was comfortably walking. I am very happy with this physical therapist!!!

Fantastic experience: I had hip and lower back pain at night for the last couple of years. Every night I would lather her up with aspercream hoping for relief. After my very 1st appointment the aches were gone!! I feel better and stronger after every appointment. No more pain medicine/creams. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner!

Fantastic experience: I first came here after a volleyball injury and Charles is such a great physical therapist. He helped get rid of pain and helped me get stronger to prevent future injuries. I came back recently for back pain and I already feel better after a week! Everybody that works here is super helpful and fun and they care about getting you better. Also Julie at the front desk is the coolest. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: Julie, receptionist/ office manager is very welcoming and efficient. The institute is very clean with strict Covid-19 restrictions in place. Each piece of equipment is cleaned each time. Charles treated my husband following both of his shoulder surgeries and he has full use of both shoulders. Then, last year he treated him following his knee surgery. Dale said this is the first winter his knee hasn't hurt. I am seeing Charles for bilateral Achilles tendonitis. I feel better after only 4 days of treatment. I recommend Charles and his office highly and without reservation. 2/16/2021

Fantastic experience: I have been getting therapy here for the last 3 months after a complete back fusion. Since my spine is completely immobile Charles has had to really specialize my treatment custom to my needs. Charles and all of the team are amazing and helping me gain my strength back. I highly recommend them!!

Fantastic experience: 10+ years after a bad fall on the ice which severely damaged my shoulder there were some movements my shoulder wouldn't allow me to do. Charles and his team have helped me regain the movements, plus eliminate the constant pain I was experiencing day and night and I will be forever grateful. Been the best thing I've done in 10 years and I recommend them highly to anyone who needs any physical therapy! An added bonus is you are treated like family!

Fantastic experience: Best physical therapy I have ever experienced! Charles is awesome! Every other time I've gone to PT they've just pushed me through the system so they could get to their next client. But he took the time to get to know my file before I came in, then took the time to explain what he was going to do for me AND why and how it would work...in a way I could understand it. I left with a real hope for it to work for once. I went in hopeless and left feeling like I would actually get somewhere this time. It's very nice to know I finally found someone who cares about my health and wants to help me get the treatment I deserve. The others there were also friendly and professional. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs PT in the future. ♥♥♥

Fantastic experience: I began coming here 3 years ago for an ongoing back problem that no other physical therapist I saw previously had been able to help. The facility is immaculate, staff is always courteous and helpful. The therapist is AMAZING! I got my life back! I can now work in the garden, run 3 miles a day, enjoy life with my grandkids! I have made multiple referrals to friends, and none have been disappointed.

Negative experience: Rude and disrespectful - will post that I have never been there, since after being treated so poorly I choose to go somewhere else for PT. Read all the other 1 Star reviews. Need serious lessons on how to treat humans.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for 6 months, and have about 4-6 months more before PT is no longer needed. What an amazing place to be taken care of. I always feel like I’m seeing close family friends when I come in, and I leave feeling more empowered. I highly recommend always coming here for your physical therapy!

Positive experience: We all need to get back in physical shape after this winter and this is the place to do just that. Great physical therapist @ The Institute
