Andrew is outstanding at listening to my goals and meeting me where I’m at, in my physical ability, on each given appt day. The entire staff here is extremely friendly and supportive. He has not only been able to help my rehabilitation, but has also given me exercises and tools to prevent injuries going forward. The PTA team continues to make an incredible difference in keeping my activity level up as I’ve grown older.

Fantastic experience: Came in for a knee examination with Andrew Schimmels. It was a phenomenal and easy going process. He was focused on finding what the best routine for me moving forward with my PT would be. He also put me through a BFR workout which was amazing to see how difficult but very rewarding this process is going to be. Fantastic experience: PTA is a truly welcoming and supportive environment. My experience has primarily been with Andrew in physical therapy, however everyone from their assistants, to the administrative staff, to the personal trainers has been so kind and encouraging in my time there. Andrew has contagious energy and is enthusiastic and passionate about helping you reach you goals… none of which are to remain in physical therapy, which is quite a bit different than other places I’ve been. He listens and motivates in a positive way and adapts your program to you and what works for you. I’ve been through a lot of physical therapy offices that either didn’t work for me or weren’t focused on my future or goals. This group is totally different - I 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had ankle surgery and Andrew S. was the best pt for my recovery. My goal was to get back on the volleyball court and Andrew made sure that happened. He always made sure I went home with additional rehab exercises. He knew when to push me further in the recovery process to ensure I reached my goal.

Fantastic experience: Had a total knee replacement and used Kelly Risse at PTA Performance for three months of the best PT I’ve ever had. I can’t say enough about the staff and team there - so customer oriented, kind, and compassionate. I work out three days a week there with a personal trainer, have PT twice a week, and can use the massage therapist if desired. And Dylan Palmer’s Fascial Stretch Therapy is amazing!! Thank you, PTAP!!

Fantastic experience: I love PTA, the PT guys and gals are really nice and funny. The exercises are great, and when I think I know it all they come up with some weird exercises that are perfect for the injury. This is my 2nd time here over the years for different injuries and I’m very proud of my graduation t-shirts.

Fantastic experience: Broke my ankle across the street climbing at Wild Walls and my surgeon recommended me to Andrew Schimmels. He’s helped tremendously and I would recommend him to anyone active looking to get back to your regular life. Isaiah Hernandez has been great as well, especially with the BFR. Prior to Jonathan I had worked with four other therapists around Spokane, and he has been the best. Other staff also seem to always have a good attitude and are a pleasure to deal with as well.

Being an athlete, he makes sure to get me back on the court as quickly as possible by strengthening muscles so I can compete at an even higher level than before my injuries. Andrew, my PT, gave me different stretches and exercises to work on at home in addition to what we did during my appointments. Between the 2 my shoulder feels way better then it did. Victor at the desk helped make sure that all of my appointments were covered by my insurance. The whole process was easy and stress free. Kelly has been mine and my families PT therapist for 20 years from my knee to issues while I was pregnant and now that I fell and hurt my knee again Andrew is taken excellent care me. Fantastic experience: PTA has been an amazing place to do physical therapy and Andrew is hands down one of the best PT’s. Andrew makes each session engaging and pushes you to your goals! Andrew will even do push ups when you do something well, PTA is where to go!

I would not be where I am in my recovery without Dr Schimmel’s expertise. My surgeon told me at my 8 week mark that I am the poster person for patellar surgery.

ID'd my problem, guided me through the fixes, adjusted along the way based on how I was feeling, and left me with tools and knowledge about how to avoid the need to come back. Best PT experience I've ever had, by far. Do your homework and you'll feel the same!

Fantastic experience: I am a basketball player at Whitworth university and have been dealing with knee pain for over 6 months now. I spent months at various different physical therapist offices but was not pleased with the results or the feedback I was getting. Once I came to PTA I instantly was put through a much deeper evaluation than I was at any other offices, I was diagnosed with patella tendonapathy and after 2 months of detailed workouts and treatment I am almost completely pain free. I spent time working with Johnathan, Dillon and Andrew, all of which were amazing and I would recommend to anybody. As my treatment is coming close to its end, I am still in close communication with Andrew (who I finished out the back half of my treatment with) and he has been amazing with keeping me update and letting me use him to track any pain going forward. All in all, I would recommend PTA to anyone dealing with any type of injury.

Fantastic experience: After my knee injury I thought I'd never be able to walk without pain again and thought I was facing a total knee replacement. Now I'm back to doing P90X classes with some modifications and getting a great workout! Thanks Em!

Fantastic experience: I’m 25 years old and I’ve had a bad back since I was 21. I saw chiropractors and they told me to do less physical activity and to come see them more to fix my issue. They fixed my back pain, but It required constant visits and that was costing me an arm and a leg. I was also getting less physically fit because of their instructions to avoid intense exercise. Andrew helped me understand that the muscles in my back just needed strengthening to support my spine and gave me exercises and stretches to help with it. The chiropractors put expensive bandaids on my injury but Andrew actually worked to heal it so I didn’t have to keep coming back to a doctor. Now I can lift weights and practice MMA again because Andrew strengthened my back for which I’m forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: PTA has been the best PT place I have ever been to! So much good energy and a lot of good knowledgeable people. I am a collegiate football athlete and I have been going to PTA for about 3 months now for ACL rehab. I have made leaps and bounds in my progress to returning to the football field thanks to PTA. I highly recommend for anyone looking to make a good, well thought out recovery from injury.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough about how amazing this PT practice is. The people are kind, caring, professional and go above and beyond for their patients. My kids and I have seen most of the therapists and love them all. Two of my kids went through the Total Recovery Program with Dylan after their surgeries and therapy and were able to return to sports ahead of schedule. I see Kelly Risse for my ACL therapy and he is a master therapist and makes my sessions fun! Craig is so patient and caring and Andrew Schimmels is using BFR therapy on my ACL knee and we are seeing great results. They also have awesome music on. I enjoy their work out classes on 27th as well. Highly recommend!!
