Fantastic experience: My experience at Tailwind has been top notch. Everyone (therapists and support staff) is professional and pleasant to work with. This is my 2nd time getting PT and I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff is very friendly and competent. They put patients first and spend one on one time with you for your appt and don’t juggle you between multiple patients at one time.

Fantastic experience: Maddie and Jen are amazing. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I love that my physical therapy is geared towards my needs, and not "one exercise fits all conveyor belt" approach. I am making progress and I am feeling much better.

Fantastic experience: If I could recommend Tailwind Physical Therapy with 10 stars I would! I'm a repeat customer over the past several years (ankle, knee, hip) and I've had nothing but amazing, knowledgable physical therapists. There is always a warm, caring, and fun vibe that I've never experienced anywhere else, and they have the friendliest dogs who just elevate the whole experience. The facility is spotless, their pool treadmill is phenomenal, and the front desk staff are great - plus they remember you when you're a regular. Billing and admin has always been flawless too. Huge fan here!

Fantastic experience: Tailwind has been my “go to” for Physical Therapy since it first started in a house on Grand Blvd. Each and every therapist I’ve worked with in the past year for a back injury and now a shoulder injury have been thoughtful, caring, and professional. Maddie is a superstar and awesome to work with. I feel lucky to have her e working with her!

Fantastic experience: Went in highly doubtful my rotator cuff issue could be helped having put up with it for 2 years. What a joy to be wrong! With great treatments from several of the staff, but outstanding work by Maddie, I finally have found relief! I would also strongly suggest using the dry needling services from Alex. She knows what she’s doing and it is miraculous therapy! Super kudos to Maddie, Alex and the rest of the staff!

Fantastic experience: Jeff has an excellent manner, a thorough knowledge for analyzing physical problems and how they might relate to skeletal structures and muscular issues. The exercises he has recommended have helped me a great deal. I highly recommend him as a psychical therapist.

Fantastic experience: I have seen 4 different therapists at Tailwinds and all have been great! Very nice vibe there and the dogs are super friendly!

Negative experience: Too expensive , i.e. first visit for a 50min phys therapy session was over $300. Roughly $200+ every visit after. Their justification for such high price was “Medicare allows us to charge that much”. Update: 6days after this review posted, the owner Jeff Royter called me to let me know my business isn’t welcomed at Tailwind and to find another therapist. It’s pretty clear that Jeff and Tailwind are charging insurance & Medicare for multiple expensive services during one session, and Jeff isn’t going to put up with clients asking for a brief explanation about the service codes and associated fees. Phys Therapy = $354 for one session.

Fantastic experience: I am a Prostate Cancer survivor & I am currently working with Megan Johnson & Paige Williams. I have worked with Paige on & off for over a year on Pelvic issues that include incontinence, Bowel & Sexual Health. Since June 2024 I have had a RARP (Robot Assisted Radical Prostatectomy), after 6 months my PSA started rising again so I received 38 days of Radiation plus ADT & now I am recovering from Hernia surgery. As they say " The Cream rises to the top " & I can truly say that I value my PT's above all my other caregivers. My Urologist is a great surgeon but a lousy Urologist when it comes to sharing info & the accuracy of the information I get unlike my PT's who have been right EVERY SINGLE TIME. Yes, the surgeon & radiation people hopefully have saved my life but my PT's gave me my quality of life back. I could say much more, especially about Paige but suffice it to say that I am DEEPLY, DEEPLY GRATEFUL to all of my PT's & the staff that support them right up to the Receptionists. I have no way to truly quantify the gratitude I feel because how do you thank the Team of people that have taken you from feeling like a Eunuch to somehow mystically giving you your manhood back & more importantly, they gave me my life back & the journey continues. To say that I appreciate my PT's is a grand understatement.

Fantastic experience: Marta and Paige have been amazing. I have had knee issues for years. I have been seen less than two weeks and have exercises I do at home and my therapist focus on my form at the office to ensure I am strengthening the muscles to support my knee. I am very pleased.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Tailwind PT since 2017. They have been an incredible help with all my ailments over the years. Everyone is immediately responsive; from phone calls and emails, text messages, at check-in and during appointments. The entire group is friendly and professional. I have had appointments with different therapists over the years and each one has been incredibly helpful and well versed in my injury when they come into the room for the appointment. Jeff has been my main stay; a great therapist. Jeff is focused and compassionate. Sam has helped me with the ergonomics on my bikes, which is so important for proper riding. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Tailwind PT. Not only have they helped me tremendously on my healing journey, their staff have been so kind and are super enjoyable to interact with. I've primarily seen Maddie who is awesome, but Sam and Jen are great too. The office staff have had to deal with my several requests for rescheduling and they are always happy to accommodate my needs. If ever I have another need for PT in my future, I won't hesitate to return to Tailwind.

Fantastic experience: Tailwind PT is a great place for rehab. Everyone there is professional, confident and encouraging. Making it an easy place to recover. I’m currently working with Alex, she really knows her stuff, makes sure I recover at the right pace and not do too much, and re-injure myself. That is a problem of mine.

Fantastic experience: I love the physical therapists at Tailwind! I've had such an incredible experience at this office. I recently worked with Alex for dry needling and feel like I've finally experienced relief in muscles that have been tight for years. Both Alex and Jeff are extremely knowledgeable and kind to all of their clients. Additionally, I've met with the bike fitter, Sam; and he's incredible and informative too. He's very fun to work with and knowledgeable with bikes. I highly recommend this practice, especially if you are an active athlete looking for muscle relief and physical therapists who will listen to your concerns. I've always felt very well cared for at this practice.

Negative experience: I had a good experience with my therapist. This is not a compliant against her. This is a complaint against the billing/reception employees. I had been a very loyal customer for a year. I called to cancel my appointment one day and was issued a late fee (that’s fine, I was late to cancel). During that phone call, I informed the receptionist I would not be able to make my other scheduled appointments either and I would like to cancel all of my future appointments. She said ok. The next week, I was received a phone call from them and was given another late fee for not showing up again. I told them there must have been a mistake because I cancelled all of my appointments. The receptionist said she had no record of that and I would need to pay. I tried to work this out with them, but they refused to admit this might be their mistake and not mine. They sent my late fee to a collections agency and now I have a hit to my credit because of their mistake and their terrible customer service. I will never trust them again and will tell everyone I know not to use them. The South Hill is a small community with LOTS of physical therapy options here. Word travels fast. I hope that was worth their $50.

Negative experience: I had the worst experience of my life At tailwind physical therapy. The front desk staff were completely incapable of dealing with the public in a humane or empathetic way. I loved my physical therapist I had, however I could not heal because of the owner who took me to court for $100 bill I had for missing two appointments and then added $500 onto the bill and took me to court to sue me for $600.00 Two years later. The whole reason I owed the money was because his staff is incompetant and can’t do their job. They have no morals nor do they care about if you truly heal from your injury …what they care about is money and if you don’t pay them, they will go after you. Stay away from this place … Completely toxic and not a place you can heal.

Fantastic experience: I had an exceptional PT visit with Maddy today. I mentioned that my back pain was interfering with my busy schedule. My ankle exercises were done as I laid on my back with ice. Brilliant and so appreciated….thank you

Fantastic experience: I love this physical therapy office so much! The front staff are wonderful and accommodating and work to get you in on your schedule and timeline. The physical therapists are knowledgeable, listen closely to your needs, and are so easy to talk with that the hour appointment flies by! They helped me get back to all my sports/workouts, and I’m so thankful. If I ever need PT again, I will be going here!

Fantastic experience: Sam is a absolute perfectionist bike fitter. I have been looking for years for someone in the Spokane area that has his level of knowledge and professionalism. Thank you Tailwind and Sam. I will be back with my other bike and my wife with her bike.

Fantastic experience: Marta was able to take the chronic pain from my knee away. I lived with the pain every step that I took for over 32 years. Without the pain I have been motivated to exercise and lose 20 #. I am now nearing my ideal weight goal!

Fantastic experience: I've been here myself as a patient and had a great experience, but I've also been extremely impressed recently with canine therapy for my arthritic senior dog! We've done hydrotherapy at a local vet and at another hydrotherapy center before switching to Tailwind and this is far and away the best. Jeff is a very skilled therapist and has been very attentive with my dog and continually assesses and makes adjustments to treatment during my dogs sessions. It is very apparent that his therapy knowledge applies well to animals, and I would recommend this place for any dog needing hydrotherapy. Not to mention the prices are competitive!

Fantastic experience: Jeff and his team of therapists are always amazing! I have been coming here for pool therapy for a couple months now and it's so helpful to get moving on the treadmill. They have even provided coffee when I had a bad headache. Here's a shot of me walking backwards on the treadmill in the pool and drinking a cup of coffee! Thank you Maddie, Candace, Alex, Nathan, Jeff and everyone else who make therapy fun and challenging! I appreciate the enthusiasm you all have for my well-being.

Negative experience: Poor scheduling. Rarely do you see the same PT. They don't read the notes from the previous appointment. Ultrasound the wrong area while talking constantly. The dogs are great.

Fantastic experience: I'm a physical therapist and mountain bike racer myself and was impressed with the bike fit provided by Sam Whaples. He is trained by the best in the country on this topic and his skillset matches that expectation. Any serious cyclist should consider optimizing their cycling experience with Sam--he will continue to be my go-to recommendation for the patients I see that need a bike fit.

Negative experience: The majority of the staff are not understanding or empathetic, you're not allowed to be legitimately sick. The staff are not mentally mature enough to handle sincere questions, they escalated a calm conversation into a confrontation. Don't go here, even the owner is horrible.

Fantastic experience: Loved taking my dog here for therapy sessions. It was neat that it had it own separate entrance. I did get him to lose some weight here. But once adjusted his medications he was able to lose ten 10 lbs.

Fantastic experience: They are so great at what they do. The treatment plans and support have been amazing. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We had the best experience with Tailwind Physical Therapy's dog hydrotherapy. Our dog does not love vets or to be touched, and Jeff was SO good with the puppy nerves. We appreciated his experience and expertise, and we're looking forward to continuing our sessions with Jeff.

Fantastic experience: Jeff saved me from a 2nd surgery on my shoulder. I've referred several people who also have nothing but good to say about him and his staff. If you're considering going to him let me assure you will be in very capable hands.

Fantastic experience: First let me say the review by Shamally Molly is a false statement. Dogs do not get to roam free. This place is awesome took my dog Baxter here for his PT after ACL surgery. This place is A five star facility and staff. The water treadmill that they have for dogs is the best machine for rehabilitating your dog. The owner Jeff and his assistant Sam are top notch professionals. I highly recommend this place for animals and humans

Negative experience: The facilities are nice. The physical therapists are competent. However having to wind your way around dogs is unsettling. This is a place for people who may have balance issues and yet animals are allowed to roam freely thus creating a potential for a dangerous situation. Dogs seem to be more important than people at Tailwinds.

Fantastic experience: Great, knowledgeable, trustworthy staff always happy to help and do so in a way that keeps you informed speaking in a respectful, simple way not throwing around medical terms like many professionals do. Helpful from check in, through therapy, and seeing your progress back to who referred you. Oh and if you love dogs like me, this is THE BEST PLACE TO BE! (They won’t bother you if you’re not a dog person though )
