Negative experience: Dr Jared Allred is a complete jerk. He put in the paperwork and had me sign the pre-op release form, and then my L&I claim took forever processing and approving it so he told me he would no longer do my surgery because “people on L&I get better slower” He said this alluding to the fact that people on L&I want to sit on their butt and not go back to work. He is cocky and looks down on you. Unless you are perfect and rich, do not go see this self absorbed, judging surgeon. During one visit, my vocational counselor asked him to look over jobs I could do with my injury, and he literally said, “No, Im not even going to look at that, I’m a surgeon.” I’ve Never met a more conceited doctor in my life. His attitude sucks. Please save yourself the pain and agony of going to see this “surgeon” who thinks he’s better than the rest of the world.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Strasser is amazing! I’ve seen him for multiple joint pain issues and is always thorough and well informed of what to do. Also saw Dr Blumenthall last week regarding my shoulder pain and what’s next for surgery. She is also very thorough and engaging and I’m confident in her ability to provide excellent care.

Negative experience: I went here a few years ago for treatment of a torn meniscus right knee. Had the joint effusion aspirated a few times and then arthroscopic surgery by a surgeon who since then has moved out of state. Had PT. Constant joint effusions and injections of cortisone. Saw the PA because the surgeon was too busy. Developed 10 over 10 pain in the knee joint every time I crossed my legs over. Developed a very pronounced valgus deformity. Began walking with a limp. My complaints fell on deaf ears with the PA until I screamed in pain during a visit while crossing my legs sitting on the exam table. My knee buckled downstairs in the reception area because the joint was so unstable. I almost fell but did not. It was only then that an MRI was ordered. It showed multiple abnormalities, including a severely frayed meniscus and bone marrow edema. I was referred to a multicare joint replacement surgeon turned me down for a knee replacement based on my age (59) at the time. He didn't do an exam nor did he do a follow up X-ray nor did he see me walk with a cane. "Get yourself a different pair of shoes and tell your employer you have to sit down more often. Come back in a few years." I am RN so I am on my feet for hours on end so that wouldn't work for me. I went back to Integrated Sports Medicine and informed the front desk that I had been turned down. It was only then that I got called by my arthroscopic physician who apparently was totally unaware how my knee had deteriorated over the last 7 months. In other words the PA had not communicated anything to him. He called me into his office and we went over the MRI. He did not do joint replacements so he offered a chondroplasty and meniscectomy which was done followed by PT. But we both knew this was only a temporary fix. I was given a doctor's note to be off work until the knee joint got replaced. I had to find another, non multicare surgeon that took my insurance. I ended up being off work for 6 months WITHOUT PAY (FMLA was not available at the time) until TKA. I went back to work 6 weeks post total knee replacement because I needed income. Because of this delay in care and the lack of communication, I suffered arthrogenic muscle inhibition in the affected (rt) leg with some muscle atrophy distal to the injury (in my gastrocnemius) which is permanent. I also have IT band syndrome. I would encourage anyone who goes here be sure there's communication at multicare integrated sports medicine so there is actually "integration" when it comes to patient care.

Fantastic experience: Dr Strasser was very nice and explained the treatment. The splint that the assistant put on would move beyond my finger if my palm moved. The edges of the metal were very sharp. I ordered a finger splint on Amazon and it is much more stabile.

If the Arthroscopic surgery doesn't work ill have to have a total shoulder replacement. They explained every & all information that would need to review what happened. Positive experience: Second attempt for appt. First was last week when they refused to see me because I was 5 minutes past their 15 minutes late to still keep your appointment. I had been in touch with them from 30 minutes BEFORE my appointment time. Explaining I was at the mercy of Uber. My ride was past my requested pick up by 10 minutes—traffic he said. I kept in touch with your office the whole time. I was assured I’d be seen because I had the 15 minutes allowance. I complained to my driver about the time. He said we’d be fine. But traffic delays ate up my grace period. The driver couldn’t figure out how to get to your building because of the turn lane. I should have jumped out and crossed the street myself. I not only missed my appointment with Dr. Blumenthal but that waisted trip cost me $65 in Uber fees. THE Actual visit the following week was fine. (Another $60+ Uber). In an attempt to ease my pain, I was given a shot in hip and therapy suggested. Shot seemed to help but I’m not going to therapy because I have to use Uber each way. At this time with the pain—I feel therapy would exacerbate the pain. I still don’t sleep well—pain from “gravity pulling my hip” prevents me from getting a good nights sleep. I also am concerned that the “physical therapist” questioned Dr. Manson’s ability to make the correct diagnosis. He also questioned the doctor’s decision not to assign any physical therapy prior my visit to this office. REALLY??? He said the doctors often can mistake the hip injury—and there really isn’t a tear even though that was the Doctor’s diagnosis. I was not comfortable with the therapist’s dismissal of Dr. Manson’s diagnosis. The staff were all courteous and helpful

I’ve seen numerous providers to try and help my shoulder issues. Over the last year I have done numerous procedures, therapy, and injections with no relief. I was given a steroid injection by Dr. Strasser, he informed me he uses a slightly different technique. Within a few days not only did I get relief, but my shoulder pain is 95% gone. I went from having daily pain 24/7 to being almost pain-free. I never thought I would actually get relief or feel normal again with my left arm. It was truly life-changing for me. I couldn’t possibly thank him enough for the amazing care that has changed my life!

Negative experience: Trying to rob me blind Mike Schucker? Not a smart move. You reviewed an already taken x-ray, told me nothing new, and charged an office visit and some "procedure" which never happened. I'll pay your office visit and thats it. Laziness does not equal wealth. What was your procedure anyway? The magic words "It'll heal"? I already had a boot on ankle. You didn't give me that, nor the x-ray. My wife was witness in room. This is appealed. Have a smaller car payment or house instead of stealing.TTFN

Negative experience: I’m so baffled why I’m lead into a endless loop with no answers, and why my suffering is going out for your convenience.. I was told my situation was marked as urgent and will be responded within 48 hours, and even over past that time I’m still waiting and suffering due to your urgent convince.. I’ve been unable to sleep multiple nights with discomfort, saddens me this is how I’m being treated.. it’s never been so bad in service or lack of communication skills..

Fantastic experience: Saw Casey Carlson, PA-C today for a shoulder problem. Super nice and extremely competent. She listened carefully to my complaints, showed me my X-rays and a shoulder model, and explained what the X-ray showed and how it could be treated, once we narrowed down what the actual cause of pain was. Started with a diagnostic corticosteroid shot which immediately helped. Looking forward to my next visit.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dewing is a real professional. He took the time to listen to my problems and concerns with my knee. He gave genuine advice that included a less invasive option as opposed to a full on two part surgery that would have had me waiting for a full year for the second part. I feel he has the best interests of his patients in mind. He is also funny and engaging.

Fantastic experience: Visiting this office with a broken collarbone on my seven-year-old it is both quick and efficient we are able to do x-rays upstairs in just a matter of minutes and back into the doctor's office quickly they also have multiple training equipment ready for your use looks like a great office happy to come back again in 2 weeks to recheck his collarbone

Very clear and open communication, and attentive to nervous girlfriend in the waiting room, all around a great guy! Very lucky to have a surgeon of this caliber in Spokane!
