Weldon Rehabilitation Hospital: Reviews
Fantastic experience: MY HUSBAND BLUFORD MEDLIN WAS IN THE REHAB. THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL. THEY WERE KIND AND CAREING. I CANNOT THANK THEM ENOUGH. THANKS JEWEL, PIA, MARISOL, HEATHER , HOPE, RIAHANNA, AND EVERYONE!!!
Fantastic experience: This is the second time at Mercy rehab. The first was a stroke and the second time a broken hip. The level of care is so professional and caring, a great group of people! The second time I asked to go there. The nurses and ,pa, np all top notch! And I appreciate the humor of some of them, I think that's why I recovered so quickly!
Positive experience: I first started day stay rehab therapy six years ago with OT and PT a few months after ischemic stroke thePT (Bob)saw me down the hallway in a wheelchair and said I’m giving you a cane I thought you must be crazy! within a few days of therapy I was hobbling around with a quad cane, doing exercises to strengthen my paralyzed leg the fantastic PT kept challenging me more and more all the while educating me on what happened To my brain with the stroke We had the same taste in music making things more enjoyable unfortunately I’m terrible at writing now very slow and runon sentences bottom line even with the hemiplegia I got a head start to get back on my feet I hated being pushed in a wheelchair
Negative experience: Be aware that insurance billing works differently when utilizing these offices as opposed to most other PT offices. This is a hospital and therefore subject to deductibles and copays, while freestanding PT offices are likely covered in full by your insurer. If you pay for your health insurance, go elsewhere.
Positive experience: muy bien
Positive experience: friendly staff.
Negative experience: If I could give it 0 stars I would This place is a complete joke. Management is awful. Nurses are awful. All I could hear my entire time being here is the nurses gossiping so loud about their personal life. Every time I ring my bell the nurses don’t even come or won’t help me with any kind of patient care. The therapist can be very helpful. Overall this place sucks. Find somewhere else. If it wasn’t for the therapist I would of refused to have care here.
Fantastic experience: Son muy amable con el paciente desde la secretaria, Dra. y el personal de curación. DLBM
Fantastic experience: There aren’t words to say how much I appreciate what the people at Weldon did for me. When I was admitted I was barely able to lift my right arm and let out of bed….2 weeks later that had me power walking down the hall! I never thought I would recover fully but I recovered months before my Dr thought I would and I big reason why is because of the patient care at Weldon. The PCT’s answered the call bell almost instantly (Jennifer, Frank, Lucy)…the RN’s were also amazing. OT (Sara) gave me so many good exercises to bring home with me and showed me how to get back to doing the things I would do on a normal day. Kassidy in Physical therapy was amazing at helping me get my strength back. I also met Ginger who would come around just to make sure patients don’t get bored and down while in rehab. She was the nicest lady. I can’t say enough about Weldon. I hope I never need to go back but if I do I will only go to Weldon. Thank you all!
Fantastic experience: out patient .....excellent therapists. conservative. good listeners, super professional and extremely well trained.
Fantastic experience: Very nice and caring staff. My mother is currently in Weldon rehabilitation.
Fantastic experience: This place is the best and they work with you to get you back in your feet and home. I could t have asked for a better team people getting me from a hoyer lift to walking with a walker when I left. Highly recommend!!
Fantastic experience: I recomend this rehab. I receive 2 week for therapy because I take Stroke. The attention is extraordinary and the human sensibility not have price.
Fantastic experience: I was there in 2018 in the day program the therapists are excellent caring and patient and I would return any time because the ❤ care there is great
Positive experience: Most of the staff was wonderful with my mom. She made steady improvements in function and strength. The rehabilitation therapists make up for any issues I may have had. I do feel the cleaning staff could do a better job.
Negative experience: Just tell your family not to visit. Everyone is rude and preoccupied.
Fantastic experience: I had my biggest stroke right around the Christmas weekend and after spending four days in Northampton's Cooley Dickinson Hospital, I was taken by ambulance to the Weldon Center because I was told they'd provide a rigorous regimen to get me back on my feet with more confidence. Boy, a stroke takes a lot of that out. But it takes a great caring staff to help their patients get the job done of restoring nearly all of it back. Just to give you an idea of how thorough the staff was, when I managed to "graduate" a day earlier than my little short of three wks planned stay, when I returned home to Hadley, it only took one visit for the visiting nurse to determine I was set to go on my own, (at least within and for short walks around my neighborhood. When I first arrived at Weldon, I was such a wreck that to walk any distance required the help of a walker and cane. I'm sixty s ix, but a young sixty-six and with the Weldon Ctr's help, I was able teo stay that way. I still have some lingering stiffness, but none that I can't overcome thanks to the help I received at Weldon. And my mind, alm ost as sharp as a tack, and we all know what strokes can do to that sharpness. Thanks Friends.
Fantastic experience: I have been going to Weldon rehabilitation for about 6 weeks because I had a partial knee replacement 9 weeks ago. I did a lot of research before picking this rehab place and I'm so glad I did. My therapist Stacey has been so wonderful and has helped me so much. I even had a couple of medical problems when I was there but Stacey and some of the other therapist helped me so much. Also as I was there I also noticed that all of the therapist's we're very nice and professional. Also when they say that your appointment is at a certain time, they are usually right on time. I don't think that you'll go wrong picking Weldon for your PT needs.
Fantastic experience: Excelente servicio, profecional y mejorativo.
Fantastic experience: My mothers been in rehab for two weeks now, you couldn't ask for a nicer staff. Everyone has been so nice and helpful to my mother
