Fantastic experience: I am a patient in the East Longmeadow office of PSSP, where I see Dr. Michael Woods. I have only positive comments to make. Dr. Woods, Debbie and all of the staff go out of their way to make patients feel comfortable and cared for. I am always greeted with a smile. The doctor listens to my concerns and answers my questions. He never makes me feel rushed or that my questions are foolish. Plus, if I forget to ask about something I can always call Deb and know that she will respond right away! When something hurts, there is no better place!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Calabrese was so caring and the receptionist, Jennifer, had such a great sense of urgency and worked hard to schedule scans that day!!

Positive experience: I gotta say.. a while lot of crabbing and complaining from people because of the call wait times (and i know it too) gotta say that alot of people are talking about their health insurance and not getting the papaerwork, they are getting the paperwork they just take a long time to approve. Ive been going here for 8 years or so. My back is completely messed up. I had dr chan and now dr woods. Whoever said that no other provider will touch after pssp injections are wrong its 99% your insurance company. They will not tell you if you do call them ive done been through that. I now have different insurance and injections scheduled the day im there. Its your insurance NOT PSSP that makes all the delays! Yes they book way out because of limited staff for spine specialists in anywhere near here in MA.. Dome people want a surgeon and have surgery on spine but im not one of them. My dr is great. If i need something he will call or make things right right away. Never had a script issue cuz i call 4 days ahead of when i need them. Dr is attentive and caring. Understand their job as youd want people to understand yours. They are medical providers in special areas and many people have issues. You are not the only person they care for. And i respect if my dr needs a little bit extra time because his patients need that extra time and youd want them to do the same for you instead of running out the door because hes got to go to next appointment. So im hearing people nothing but complaining because a dr is attentive and takes that extra time if you need it . But if a dr isnt attentive youd complain about that. They have a huge caseload and i am one thats frustrated about the phone and nobody picking up but i direct it toward the people that need to hear it . Not giving them a bad review or comments. 8 or 9 years now ive been going to them. Used to have to wait almost 7 months for an injection and it wasnt because of the dr it was the insurance company that didnt want to approve it . New insurance company and now its boom like next day i can get an injection if needed. If i need anything my dr is there as long as he gets the message. I might get frustrated with the phone call thing but patient and dr care ratio i gotta say is one of the best and its very difficult to find a good knowledgeable caring dr i am thankful. I have seeked a second opinion and you will find drs wanna do surgery almost all of them. I dont want surgery on my spinal area. So i am thankful even more that there are different options to alleviate pain or keep it under control. You will not find better drs in this area of expertise for non evasive relief. Get the portal. U can talk to your dr through that. These drs do care but many need care so be patient. Its equal care and attentive for everyone even if u happen to need a few mins over your appointment time. They do care but i can only speak about dr woods but in office i always hear patients happy with thier drs in east longmeadow. So great job to the drs reception needs work that's all.

Negative experience: They scheduled me months out from when I was referred to them, then cancelled my appointment 10 minutes before and tried to reschedule me for 6+ weeks out. Do not waste your time and find another location if you need timely treatment.

K T 1 year ago

Negative experience: Administrative issues as others have mentioned. I was provided a referral by my PCP because this practice took my insurance. I was told the next day that they were not accepting it because it was not sent by my PCP(?). Contacted my PCP, who sent another referral, and was told it was all set and made an appointment for two weeks out. I am now being told that the referral was never received and my appointment was being cancelled. This incompetence, which spanned over two weeks, just delayed my receiving treatment while my symptoms are worsening. I am having my PCP seek another specialist for treatment. I wound recommend seeking treatment elsewhere if you want to be seen in a timely manner!

Fantastic experience: I have been working with this office now for approximately two years. I’ve been very impressed with the staff and the doctors . It’s not very often that I find a medical office with so many people so pleasant and happy to help. I would highly recommend this office to anybody looking for therapy or having back issues as I have. My friend

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient for about 6 years and I have had an amazing experience. I loved both my providers and I'm always in an out ( I only book the 7am appointment due to work starting at 8am) and the PT guys are miracle workers. I follow all of their stretches recommended and have been pain free for the most part. Sometimes I need a tweaking so I will come in but overall, all of the staff are nice. Again, I'm one of the first patient's in the morning so that may be why I never have to deal with rude staff or long wait times. I have referred my family to them as well.

LM 1 year ago

Negative experience: My primary Dr. referred me here. My advice is to call them or you will wait a long time to here from anyone there. They are either understaffed or have too many patients because it was complete chaos when I went in for my appointment and it takes forever to get someone on the phone. The order they put in for me is taking a longer time than any other medical facility to go through. I finally got in and was evaluated by physical therapy. The PT I had was so rude I ended up canceling my other sessions and going somewhere else for my PT.

Negative experience: Please do not visit this practice. I cannot stress this enough. I rarely if ever leave reviews, but I have never in my life experienced such repeated negligence and poor customer service. If this will deter at least one person from going, it will be worth it. I apologize for my rageful rant, but here goes. I have been going to PSSP for a couple of months for herniated discs with nerve compression that left me unable to walk. Thankfully, I am mobile now, but will still need surgery even though I'm in my 30s. When you're expressing debilitating pain like that and willing to chop off your own hand just to get it to stop, you desperately want a provider who will listen and help. Without that, you're left feeling utterly helpless and that's exactly what I experienced. To their credit, the providers have always been very kind during appointments. However, nothing is done as soon as you leave and little to no help is provided. 1) When I've reached out via phone or the portal about worsening pain, concerning symptoms, missing information, etc. I don't receive a reply or I receive a reply that has nothing to do with my question. 2) I personally provided a Certificate of Health Care Provider form (required for FMLA) to be filled out 6.5 weeks ago. I followed up in person 3 weeks later and was told the doctor wasn't in to complete that. I later called to check status and was told there was no record of it. Thankfully, I have an incredible employer and can work from home so I just gave up. 3) After waiting for 5.5 weeks for my handicap placard, I was told it was sent, but never received it. 4) Authorizations for my prescriptions have never been sent to my insurance company so I've been having to pay out of pocket. 5) I called for a prescription refill on a Thursday so I could get it before Friday and no one followed up with me. I followed up the next day, but was told they don't do refills on Fridays. 6) During this refill call, I was also accused of misusing my prescription and refused a refill because they failed to read that the original script was filled for 30 pills and not 60. I had to make (and pay for) an additional, completely unnecessary appointment to get it straightened out. Accusing someone of misusing drugs during the opioid epidemic due to THEIR failure to read was insane to me. 7) My preauthorization for my epidural injection was not expedited as I had requested so I had to wait 2 additional weeks to schedule it vs 3 days. 8) I tried switching to a different provider, but no one would touch me because once you get one injection, the second has to be done by the same physician. 9) My injections are now done and I literally just need them to send over my surgery referral so I can get away from them, but the hospital still has no receipt of it. This all may make me sound like a raving lunatic and I very well may be! I sure feel that way after having dealt with their unprofessionalism for so long. If you still decide to give them try, I hope for your sake that you have a better experience.

Positive experience: An FYI, Wednesdays they open and start taking phone calls at 8:30 am. It has not been updated on Google.

Fantastic experience: I had an epidural nerve block with two needles, dye, etc and had no pain at all. A small prick hardly felt and I was so pleased! I highly recommend Dr. Woods and his assistant. One of the best doctors I have ever had! He was kind and gentle and checked on me twice in recovery and then walked me to the waiting room! You can’t ask for more tha that! What a great doctor! Highly recommend him!

Fantastic experience: The staff is welcoming especially Sean who always greets you with a smile and positive attitude! Every Doctor we have seen has been extremely knowledgeable, patient and had a beyond exceptional bedside manner! It is worth the hour drive to know you will be seen on time by doctors who care about your health and treat your issues.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Pioneer Spine and Sports Physicians (West Springfield) for roughly 12 years. This doctor’s office is absolutely incredible. From the receptionist out front to the physicians in the back and everyone in between. They are so friendly and helpful. The portal is so convenient and it is always up to date. You send the office a message and they get back to you so quickly. If they are unable to answer your question, they find the answer and call you right back. I’ve never been in an office that is so organized and friendly. Dr. Cooper is an amazing physician. Like his staff, he is incredible as well. He does not give up. No matter how difficult the case may be. He sticks to it until his patient is comfortable and satisfied. When you speak with him, he really listens. You have his undivided attention and you are not rushed out of the room. I am so blessed to have found Dr. Cooper and Pioneer Spine and Sports Physicians (West Springfield) Thank you PSSP for always taking good care of me. I am forever grateful.

Negative experience: I’ll keep this brief. This is with regard to the doctor’s office, not the PT side. Disorganized office staff, errors, long waits, delays in answering calls. Most recently I waited over an hour for an appointment before finding out the doctor wasn’t even there! I think they could have told me when I checked in but they didn’t. This was a terrible experience and I will find a new provider. EDIT: When I checked in, they asked for a $45 co-pay, which I paid. After I left, I realized I paid for a service I didn't receive. I called the PSSP billing department, which said it would cancel the charge. Later that day I received an email that the charge hit my card, so I called my HSA provider. They told me only PSSP could resolve this. I called PSSP back and they told me it would probably resolve in a week. (It actually took a day.)

Positive experience: Updated: my experience here today ( 2/9) was VERY different then the last. Changing my stars from 1-4. The technician and doctor that did my cortisone injection were wonderful and made me feel very comfortable. I have a follow up next week and will definitely update this again after that but so far The doctors have been great i just think the organization and communication as a practice needs some work. I will update this as i go but so far this has been one of the worst places i have dealt with. I’ve gone from barely able to walk to literally immobile and they’ve done nothing, refuse to call me back, refuse to make an appointment for the injection i have jumped hoops to “ qualify for”. They told me my insurance wouldn’t approve It without All these hoops ( found out that’s a lie once i called them myself) and now they want to make a SECOND consult appointment before they will consider a injection. For what?! I got the X-rays, and i continue to get worse. The second time i called today the only thing they had to say to me was “ oh yeah your insurance rejected the mri”…..i had told them many times in prior calls that i already had an mri, and apparently that’s what you were waiting on seeing? I got this MRI because i ended up hospitalized for the pain you refuse to help with. Then they said they would set up and appointment for a consult on what type of injection i would need. My referral literally says it. There is only one injection for what i have. And After i already paid for the consult last week why would i need a second consult? So i have X-rays, an mri, a consult from a neurosurgeon saying i need the injection, a pcp referral and yet you want more consults? For what exactly? I have herniated discs (multiple, one being very large) narrowing of the discs among other issues and am nearly entirely immobile at this point. I can’t sleep, I’m in pain all of the time. I can’t do daily tasks and need help. I can’t go to work. And an injection MAY fix all of this for now. I was told i would hear back by end of day today and they are now closed, i called twice and got nowhere. This place is a joke. I will update this if things change in the next day or so but for now i may be looking elsewhere for care and reporting this place to the proper channels.

Positive experience: Still up in the air right now. Went for my first appointment a couple weeks ago, just a consultation/evaluation. Been experiencing back pain for 4+ months. They want an MRI before proceeding with treatment. Since then, it seems it's my job to keep this moving. A week went by and the requisition hadn't gone anywhere. Due to my phone call, they sent it to the MRI provider. Never received, they sent it to the wrong number. Finally got that straightened out, but it had no insurance approval. I've called them three times about this and over 5--6 days, it still hasn't been sent to the insurance company. I'm sure the insurance company will take a few days to approve once they get it. Meanwhile who's the one still in considerable discomfort. Seems the wheels turn very slowly ??

Fantastic experience: I have always had a positive experience at PS&S with regards to my own care as well the care that my clients receive. My clients, who are elderly or significantly physically disabled, consistently report feeling respected and listened to. I continue to be impressed with the continuity, expertise and sense of caring from the staff, the physicians and the PAs.

Ken Backlund 4 years ago

Negative experience: You need them they’re closed on Fridays at noon. You give the suggestions because only you know how you feel and they are closed minded. They like to take your money though. I’m in pain and they play games with the insurance so you suffer and make an extra buck.

Matthew Warwick 4 years ago

Negative experience: I read all the reviews on here before showing up after my doctor referred me here, and the big thing that stuck out to me was a ton of people complaining about this "attendance policy". Most people who need PT are disabled and on benefits. They schedule your appointments not you, and if your 15 minutes late, you're discharged and they notify your insurance company. 15 minutes late?! In the middle of West Springfield?! That's almost a guarantee at some point! They tried to have me sign off on this "attendance policy" and right then and there I called my doctor and asked for a referral to another PT place because that's ridiculous. I've been to other PT places before and NEVER seen something like this. AVOID

Negative experience: I have a complex medical diagnosis. I was being treated my pioneer spine and sports for bone pain equivalent to that of a cancer patient. I was being seen by a doctor there who was kind, understanding, and worked with me to overcome my barriers and unique situation. He retired during my time with this group and I was passed on pretty quickly to another provider. She was not as understanding or willing to accommodate my unique needs. I have virtually no immune system and am unable to make a response to vaccinations due to my health condition. During the pandemic these challenges can make leaving homes extremely dangerous. I had reservations regarding in person appointments and had asked during PEAK cold/flu/covid months I maintain my care via tele health to Mitigate my Risk of catching covid. The office was unwilling to make reasonable accommodations to fit my medical condition. I was a patient here for several years being prescribed to with no changes to dosage, never requests for early scripts, my care was as the first provider had said “on auto pilot”. I was maintaining my pain level of the low dose medication beautifully and was seeing a significant improvement in my day to day. The second providers soon after the swap was made retired as well. Information I was told an a letter saying they couldn’t continue my care. I’ve been on a pain treatment plan for several years with them and to be left 1. In the lurch with no plan to bridge the gap for more than 30 days 2. No effort made by office management to connect with me after I had requested help finding a different provider within the practice that could continue my care (a no would have been fine, but no answer was given). Not to mention follow up at this office is terrible. You can call and leave a message but don’t expect to hear back not because the doctors aren’t responsive but because the staff never follows up with an answer. I also had issues with the staff being rude over the phone, never in person oddly enough. They’ve left my insurance referrals lasso which also impacted my care. It’s just not a great experience overall. I would NOT recommend for chronic ongoing pain management.

Negative experience: Unprofessional front desk, who marked me as a no-show after calling twice to confirm that it was okay to show at 1145 instead of 1130. Were aggressive when I tried to explain that I clearly communicated that to them twice. Rescheduled me for a much later appointment. Sought another practice already.

Sarah Cook 4 years ago

Positive experience: I loved my provider but oh my god the front desk staff... worst bedside manner ever and totally inadequate. Speak over you, don't listen, zero sensitivity/sense of caring toward patients. Unreal.

Sally Lundberg 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: I have been both to the Doctors and PT. I have been satisfied with them all. I am actually having a shot in my shoulder this Friday and PT to follow.

Ye Do 4 years ago

Negative experience: Won't let me give them anything less than 1star. Rude, unprofessional staff. Multiple cancelled appointments on there end. Appointments are cancelled without notification, and you don't find out until after you have been waiting in the waiting room for over an hour after you check in. When you finally get an appointment they didn't cancel, it's usually at least an hour late. Not 1 returned phone call since covid has started. 2 months of dropping everything to go in person to request my medical records because they won't send them to my new doctor. After filling out multiple medical release forms they keep losing.

Elly Vaughan 4 years ago

Negative experience: I was referred here because of chronic neck pain, which had been going on for over six months. I had already done months of conservative care, with no results. I was told that the only way to know if I had a herniated disc it was to have an MRI done. But yet they would not order the MRI because it “would not affect their treatment plan” for me. I went home thinking about that, wondering why on earth we wouldn’t want to at least know whether or not there was a herniated disc. I called the office back to request that an MRI be ordered. Later I got a snarky voicemail from the doctor stating that he would order the MRI, but it would probably be refused and he would not defend it because he didn’t think it was necessary. I went to see a specialist at MGH, and they ordered an MRI immediately. I do not recommend this place at all, it was nothing but a frustrating waste of time.

Negative experience: Tried for weeks to get someone to return my calls regarding an appeal that wasn’t submitted correctly. Receptionist argued with me saying the doctor or PA wouldn’t return calls because it was Rebeccas responsibility to handle all appeals. Also argued what I told her that what my insurance company told me. I don’t think it’s the receptionist that should decide who or what I want to speak with my provider about. JUST FORWARD THE MESSAGE

Negative experience: Super nice verbally. Very disorganised in action. Tried to be seen for workers comp Injury. Had dept labor file # and phone numbers an fax numbers for them. First I was told info was faxed waiting for signed authorization from my case worker. 2 days later I'm told still waiting but when I asked what fax number was used they had none. Then I'm told my file number was incorrect which it was not.. I even rushed over to let them copy all my paper work an AGAIN told to sit tight. The following week I'm again told it's incorrect file # which it was not. Finally gave up an tried another place. Got in THAT DAY. ZERO PROBLEMS with ANYTHING. I went here 10 years ago with a different work I jury an it was wonderful. DEF gone down hill. Wasted a week an half of my time and energy.

Negative experience: I was a physical therapy patient. Treatment was okay most of the time. Not always. I decided to stop going because I canceled 2 appointments with a week's notice and then I received a call that "the therapist doesn't want to see you anymore". It's pretty insane considering that this same therapist had no showed three times and I was understanding. Their policy only applies one way and it's solely in their favor and convenience. Do not recommend.

Negative experience: They need better trained custumer service staff. Very unwelcoming.

Sulia Marie 5 years ago

Negative experience: Horrible. Never have i seen a more rude and inconsiderate doctor, but let me start from the beginning. Went for lower and mid back pain june of 2020 (not knowing better and trusting them) the physical therapist worked on my neck (not in the dr orders) and i shortly went to the er 3 different times after for severe cervical pain and muscle spasms. It was so scary and discouraging i didnt go back, fast forward 5 months my primary advised me i should see them again and the female dr (forget her name) was so rude she cut me off every time i tried to explain my pain, told me it was my fault my issues were unresolved because im inconsistent with care, and didn’t listen to me what so ever. Even told me i shouldn’t reproduce because of my mental health issues as if that was her business. What a joke of an establishment.

Jon Lewis 5 years ago

Negative experience: Poor patient care. I was seen for a sports injury by Dr Ronald Paasch, I was treated for soft tissue damage. 6 Weeks later the issue had not resolved, x-rays were ordered and a follow up appointment was scheduled for 2 weeks. Luckily I knew a provider who could see the radiology report which found a compression fracture in the L1 vertebra. No one from their office thought to contact me, and only after calling 4 times did they finally acknowledge that Dr. Paasch wasn't going to call me despite my requests, and I could only talk to him if I made an in person appointment. I have multiple providers in my life, they all agree that not only did this case deserve a prompt followup, but it shows a lack of curtesy and poor patient care to not. Had I not sought the radiology results on my own I would have spent another two week with a broken back unknown to me. I am an active 36 yo, imagine my regret if I did something to permanently worsen the situation while the doctor sat on the diagnosis for 2 weeks.

Negative experience: CHEAT!!! I strongly recommend NOT using this clinic. Beware of them like a mad dog. They are professionals on how to get into your pocket rather than treat you. I was treated there, and received no benefit except for a 15-minute massage in a room with pleasant music and smiles, as a result, my condition and pain became worse ... At the first appointment there was one doctor, at the second appointment there was another doctor, and so on ... every time I explained my problem as the first time, and finally they offered me injections of Cervical Epidural Cortisone Injections - if someone does not understand that this procedure does not cure, but simply temporarily, it relieves your pain after a period (from about 3 months to 1 year), your PAIN will return with a vengeance, because normal doctors operate on the joint and do not perform hormonal anesthesia, after which the patient does not feel pain in the damaged area and destroys the joint, but as the effect of the hormone with anesthetic, the hell will end, and you you will have to go back to this procedure ... until you can move from the pain at all. Thus, they lie that there is no other medicine, but that it exists, and they put the patient in lifelong dependence on their false medicine.

Negative experience: So far my dealings with them has been terrible. No communication to me started by them, I had a office visit and was prescribed medication but after 4 days of terrible pain I called asking for some relief, asking to have a doctor or nurse to return my call. Nothing. I called again on Tuesday and was told my doctor was out sick. I asked if there was anything in my chart and there was options for me. I asked why no one returned my call and was told sometimes that sometimes they get busy and it must have fallen through the cracks. After discussing my options with my wife I called Wednesday to arrange one of the options. I also asked to speak with the office manager about my issues. I was told she was unavailable but I could leave a voicemail, which I did. They haven’t called back yet

Christopher Saunders 6 years ago

Negative experience: Honesty some of the worse staff I have ever had to deal with regarding healthcare. Appointments were less than 5 mins long with the staff normally acting like they didnt care at all about the pain i was in. I was told at one appointment that it looks like i had some arthritis in my neck that might be the cause of my shoulder pain but they dont perform the shots there due to needing an x ray to give the shots so they don't hit a lung. So they then set me up with another MRI in which they found nothing apparently and was told there is nothing more they can do. But the last appointment i just had some older lady who I don't even think was a doctor there tell me I could have arthritis in my neck. I was beyond confused and upset how they can go from one thing to basically saying there is nothing wrong. Then they referred me to a neurologist that i had to wait 2 months to see, that couldn't even perform the shots for the exact same reason they couldn't do it!. Just pure carelessness and incompetence. Avoid this place at all costs!

Fantastic experience: I am pleased to state that I had the pleasure to be a patient at this location. They are a true example of great customer service. I never had a "wow" service at a facility like this before as far as I can remembered in my life. The service from the receptionists to the doctors that attended to me were truly exceptional. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be talking about the experience to anyone who is willing to listen to me. Great patient service!!!

Negative experience: I was "fired" from there years ago. This was inspite of having to wait over an hour to see the doctor each time I went. I had plenty of reasons to be there but I was told I must of been imagining my pain. Went to NEO and 6 months later had both my hips replaced and now waiting on both my shoulders. I have no rotary cuffs left in either shoulder. I've had RA and OA since 27 and now 55. Degenerative disc disease, also waiting on knee replacement. Thanks for not believing a thing ! What do u do there? It totally escaped me. Also PTs left me alone for long lengths of time. They paid no attention to me or other patients around me. They 4were all gossiping about other patients. And way too pet spinal things about their sex lives. I'd rather die then face the humiliation and shame I was shown while there. Don't go there even if you have to drive to Kansas!

I was sent to these jerks last year because I developed arthritis in my mid back. The flare ups were so bad, I was ending up at the E.R. every other day. So I go to Pioneer Spine & Sport in West Springfield. They recommended physical therapy. I did physical therapy and that did nothing for me. Finished my physical therapy, go back to PS&S, inform them I'm done, and still having bad flare ups. Back is all spasm'd out. They had checked me on several occasions and also found my back to be flared up and spasm'd out. They knew damn well my condition. But they kept telling me I had minor arthritis. Nothing much, according to them. Some time in March/2018 I have such a bad flare up that now I'm having a hard time walking. Whatever is going on with my back is now affecting a nerve in my leg. PS&S sends me for an MRI. The day they get the results, they call me and tell me they need to see me in person. So I booked the appt. and showed up there excited, thinking they would finally see what is going on with my back and help me. Right? Wrong! The doctor didn't even bother to see me. They set me up with his assistance. Some useless individual that I believe her name is Sue. This lady calls me into a room and informs me that they found nothing. "There is nothing wrong with you," were her words. SMH ..mind you I'm sitting there barely able to sit or walk because of the issue with my back and now leg. So I ask her, how can this be? I'm sitting there with the onliest flare up. Back is all swollen. She never offered to check me, or my back. She responds, that I'll probably need to see a psychiatrist cause the pain may be all in my head At this point I'm so upset, and we start raising our voices, because she would not give me an answer as to why if my pain is all in my head, explain to me how my PCP, and her and other physicians and physical therapist there, found my back to be all flared up. She never gave me that answer. She simply said, we're done with you, and there is nothing else we can do for you. Got up and walked out. She left me there in the room, broken and in tears. There is nothing worse than going through chronic pain, and the physician/doctor knows this, and has the nerve to look you in the eyes and tell you, your pain is all in your head. Fast forward 9/20/2018. Today I find out through the Orthopedic Doctor that I was sent to that I just don't have mild/minor arthritis as PS&S put it, I have several herniated disc. And you won't believe how that doctor found this out ..he asked for my med records from PS&S (Which they were requested to them for 2 months and they would not release until the bone doctor's office called them and told them off) my condition was sitting right there in my records the whole time. Those were the results from the MRI that PS&S sent me to have. So, they knew the whole time I had herniated disc, but didn't tell me. They were playing it down like I had some mild form of arthritis and I was being a big baby and complaining about pain. The physician's assistance never, ever in the time I was seen at PS&S in WSpfld, ever told me that any of my disc were affected by the arthritis. As a matter of fact I had straight out asked the physicians assistant if my disc were affected by the arthritis and she lied to me and said no! I've been suffering all this time and these people had my correct diagnosis and wouldn't tell me and would not put me on a proper pain management plan. They just preferred to wash their hands of me. The moral to this story is this ....DON'T GO TO PIONEER SPINE AND SPORT IN WEST SPRINGFIELD! Especially if your dealing with pain. Because they are a bunch of cold hearted bastards that should not be working with the public!

Fantastic experience: Had hip pain last year that had gotten worse. Was with a medical group at the time and they did an xray. Showed degenerative disk disease, arthritis, L1 etc issues. Got rid of tat medical group after that with no resolution. New primary care doctor soon after and was referred to this place. The doctor scheduled an MRI and it showed nothing pertaining to what was stated wth the other place. The doctor is sending my case to a neurologist for a second opinion on what to do next. He didn't want to jump right in with injections to be on the safe side. I am so glad I was referred here. It could have been a nightmare! The staff are very friendly and interact well together.

Fantastic experience: Very knowledgeable. They were able to determine the source of a problem that has been a mystery for 3 years.

Negative experience: Appointments with doctors are usually a pain, you never can see the doctor on the appointment time. Waiting for more than 45 minutes after the scheduled time. The physical therapy though is somehow better, people are nice and on time
