Fantastic experience: As I begin my 3rd week of PT, post knee replacement surgery, I'm most grateful to Wendie in the reception area, who set up my schedule, as well as to James & Austin, the PT specialists who guide & monitor my exercise program. They are extremely pleasant & professional & a credit to Foothills.

Fantastic experience: My doc referred me to Foothills Sun City for treatment for neck and shoulder pain that persisted following an injury. Dr. Elana Trejo did my initial assessment and developed a treatment plan. I was impressed with her thoroughness and really appreciated that at each visit the techs who worked with me made sure that I was doing each exercise properly. This ensured that I did my “homework” right too. I finished up each visit with Elana who assessed my progress and added additional exercises as appropriate. We initially set up 12 appointments, but I progressed very rapidly and only needed 8 visits to see a huge improvement in range of motion and reduction of pain. I was able to turn my head 10 degrees more in each direction at my last visit! I highly recommend this location for its personal attention and excellent care.

Fantastic experience: I chose this place after my knee replacement because it is close to Sun City West. I was in a lot of pain, but they gently guided me through the worst of it. I enjoyed the whole staff!! They work together so well! It is a friendly, up beat place to take your pain, and get kudos for your progress!!

Fantastic experience: My PCP referred me to Foothills for chronic shoulder pain that I'd been having for 4 months. Foothills staff is very professional in all they do from the reception/sign-in process through diagnosis, therapy, exercise instruction, and assessment. After you've registered for the first time and appointments are made, signing in is automated and if you have a bill to pay, you are immediately served by the receptionist. My experience with the PT staff was excellent - they set the bar for quality therapy. There is a cooperative, experienced, team environment in which at the beginning of an appointment one of the team members ensure that the target therapy area of the individual is warmed up through specific exercises. This is followed by specific, therapeutic manipulation in which the Physical Therapist incrementally corrects the issue. I recommend Foothills to anyone that is having chronic pain. They will address the underlying issues causing the pain and provide recommended exercises to prevent it from reoccurring. Special thanks and recognition go to Jim, James, Elana, and Austin for providing superior therapy to help resolve my pain.

I had Dry neddle sessions and they have really helped the pain in my hip. I have been to Foothills on several different occasions and would recommend them to anyone. The staff is also very friendly.

Fantastic experience: I have just had an issue with Vertigo and as a caregiver for my husband who's had a stroke, I needed this corrected ASAP! Luckily, I went to Foothills Sports Medicine and Jim and his team were able to correct my issue and help me learn the exercises needed to continue stopping this balance issue. Fantastic experience: My mother went in using a walker due to peripheral neuropathy and unsure PT would even work. After 12 weeks with Jim and his team she was leg pressing 30#, walking short distances independently, walking on a treadmill, her balance has improved and she has more confidence than she has had since her diagnosis. Jim and his team are a fantastic group, kind, respectful to everyone who comes in, professional, customizing treatment plans based on individual need. Fantastic experience: There aren't enough words in the English dictionary to describe how happy I have been with Foothills Sports Medicine P.T. in Sun City. My P.T. Brooke is phenomenal and I am so happy that she is my P.T. She sets up a game plan for me and adjusts it accordingly. My main P.T. Tech is Andrew, who makes sure I am doing my exercises as planned. Both Brooke and Andrew are so caring and make P.T. so much fun. I have been to another place for P. T. where absolutely no progress was made and in the short time I've been here I can see how much progress has been made, what a world of difference. Any of the techs who have worked with me have been wonderful and also make P.T. enjoyable. The front office girls are so sweet and accommodating when making appointments. I highly recommend Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy!

Fantastic experience: This was my second visit with these great PT's. First was presurgery with Jim and he did a great job preparing for my back surgery. Back post surgery and Brooke Rehm was my main person. She did a great job, along with the assistants. These people have great positive attitudes when you are there. This goes for even the desk people. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: This place is wonderful, I came in for a workman's comp upper back injury and was nervous, but they listen to you, they encourage you, and they push you and the entire time they are having a blast and greeting everyone who is there and just making the entire place a much happier environment. Austin was my physical therapist and was aweaome. Markus and Sammy (probably spelled wrong) helped out alot and definitely helped make the place a very lively happy environment.

The first time was for my shoulder in 2019, and this time was for my back. Jim was my physical therapist this time, and I have nothing but good things to say about him and the staff. He's professional and personable. He and his staff are knowledgeable and kind. They really treat everyone with respect and pay attention to what is going on with each person. I enjoyed my time with them, whether it was Wendy cheerfully greeting me as I came and left, or Sammy's bubbly personally and sense of humor, or listening to client's stories, or watching the enteraction and care each person took with their clients. I look forward to going back after hip surgery. I recommend this location to anyone in the area who is looking for quality care, service, and real results. Thank you for the great experience!

Positive experience: Honestly, Jim the therapist is really kind and seems very knowledgeable. With that being said I would’ve liked to give them five stars but the first time I went in after consulting with the therapist he wasn’t going to do any stretches or treatments for me until I asked him. I was in so much pain, at first I wasn’t upset, it was just the way they do things I suppose. Today I went in for my second appointment and I had to unfortunately cancel all my appointments because I started a new job and the hours didn't work for me but I had made arrangements to still have my appointment for today. The therapist came out and said he should not see me today because it be useless if we only did it today, I was disappointed but I understood. I asked him if he could print off a couple stretches for me to do because I didn’t get any last time. Well because he took two minutes to print off two sheets of stretches the front office girl charge me for my visit that wasn’t done. Kind of petty.

Fantastic experience: I have been to foothills twice once for a post laminectamy physical therapy and now because of two herniated discs. I am scheduled for injections in a week but the folks at foothills brought me back from a terrible situation which was causing terrible leg pain. Both times I was thoroughly evaluated and given an exercise routine that improved my overall strength and helped me cope with my issues. The people I worked with were very considerate of my condition and truly cared about my progress. I feel the exercises were effective and puhed me to improve my strength. Fantastic experience: Two weeks have past since I had several weeks of physical therapy for my left knee. I no longer have cracking/popping noises and pain. When I first came, I was skeptical because the exercises seemed so easy. With the help of Brooke, Krysten, Andrew, Marcus and Samantha, I got tips and corrections on how to do the exercises correctly which made things a little harder. Gradually they increased the number of repetitions. Then they switched out easy exercises for harder ones. The staff was cheerful and distracted my attention from watching other patients or getting embarassed about my own performance. Moving around the room from one piece of equipment to another, allowed me to recover before the next exercise. I was happy to realize that I could continue the exercises at home without fancy equipment. I don't need to go to a gym to keep up with the exercise. Everyone was pleasant and non judgmental. Jennifer at the front desk was efficient and quick. There were other good people at the desk, but I can't remember their names.

Fantastic experience: My Dr. recommended Foothills Sports Medicine for me but left the choice up to me, knowing I had been to other physical therapists in the past. I attempted to get in with one of my prior physical therapists but would have had to wait for over a month for an appiontment. I decided to give Foothills a chance and am I ever happy that I did. They are amazing, explaining what is happening as you go through the exercises. They keep you in the loop, no consulting with other therapists behind your back, etc. My therapists were so attentive to me, it made me want to work that much harder on my exercises. After 7 sessions out of 12, my lower back & right hip feel better than they have for years.

Fantastic experience: Max Mangabat has been both my husband's and my physical therapist at the Grand Avenue location. He is gifted, caring, sensitive and skilled in returning a person to better physical health. The location is small enough for personal attention. I recommend this Foothills location for personal and successful physical therapy.

My shoulder pain and range of mobility improved so much so that today I am still without pain. So when I started planning on having a total knee replacement, Foothills Sports Medicine came to mind. Today I’ve completed 10 visits and can safely say that nothing has changed with the professional staff and how they listen and care for their patients. Thanks to a great surgeon and Jim Kester at Foothill's, I have complete mobility in my shoulder! The administrative staff was very proficient too, espsecially with scheduling. Many days I arrived up to a half hour early for my therapy and was brought right in to begin my exercises. I began my therapy bent over with extreme back pain. After two weeks I walked out nearly upright and with almost no discomfort. Fantastic experience: I have been doing physical therapy now for 3 weeks at Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy and all of the PT's there are awesome! Doesn't matter who you may be working with at the time, all of the therapists are aware of what you are doing and do not hesitate to step up and suggest a tweak here or there to help with your exercise routine. All of the PT's are interested in giving you the tools to help you become healthy again. I have one more week of therapy and then with the excellent training I have gained at Foothills Sports Medicine I can continue my physical training on my own. I highly recommend this clinic.
