Fantastic experience: without of doubt the best medical care i have ever had in my 68 years. all of the staff from the cleaning lady to the doctors - the nursing stall is the epitome of what nursing should be everywhere. you eat in a upscale bistro - they come to you each day at breakfast and then map out your meals for the rest of the day - the food is on par with any 5 star in the world - the physical therapies are the best. if you can't tell by now this is like a resort. fred toomoth

Fantastic experience: Post Acute Medical: The level of care from the nurses and the therapists were beyond exceptional! Rooms are nice. I am a recent amputee and was at PAM for 10 days of rehab. Stu, Andrea, Sallie, Rachel, Kristi, Estrella, Julie, Damaris, to just name a few we’re just some of the therapists, nursing, and CNAs that went above and beyond. Now going to outpatient rehab there and Ryan is helping strength building and preparing for my upcoming prosthetic leg. He is a wonderful encourager! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Yesterday my mom, 79 years old became a patient at Cobalt in SURPRISE AZ. The facility is so beautiful, clean and welcoming. The staffing are so polite, compassionate and understanding. They seemed to know exactly what my mom needed. Thank you so very much. God Bless!

Fantastic experience: What I remember is very little. And I'm told that wad a good thing. I was ICU on a vent for 29 days then transferred to rehab. I'm sure I would recognize faces but the one name I will never forget was Roxanne the respiratory therapist. My kids called her Elsa!! She was the sweetest woman in the entire world. When ever I had a big step coming up she was there. She was the light to a very dark place I was in.. Thank you Roxanne..I hope you get to see these and may even remember me and my kids waving out the window and my husband washing my hair..

I am getting great help Your staff is caring, great, helpful, make me feel safe and that I can can conquer it all ! Dr Christian S. is soooo fantastic ! Stu in Therapy is very caring. Your nurses make you feel the best. Not just medically but mentally. They listen to you. Yes under staffed. But so caring. Special attention to your CNA Elaine. FANTASTIC !!.. Ms Camille Gore. .. !

Fantastic experience: My husband lost pretty much all of his limb mobility before coming here. This facility did and amazing job rehabilitating him. The nurses and doctors all took great care of him and we still continue to use these Drs once he was discharged from Cobalt. Thanks you all so much for your time and dedication. I highly recommend this rehabilitation center. It was hard trying to research centers before he initially left the hospital.. but I hope this review helps out others that are looking for a great center for their loved ones.

Fantastic experience: My Dad was here almost 3 years ago and went again recently. He is kinda a picky guy and he trusts the staff and was grateful to have some of the same loyal staff members there to help him. He requested to be here and that speaks volumes. Fantastic experience: Colbalt is the place you want to go if you have a broken bone or joint replacement. Colbalt was as advertised excellent personnel prompt , caring and knowledgeable. With the same dedication Physical therapy will whip you into shape. The biggest fear I had was not getting help when I needed it. I have been to two other rehab facilities. I have waited over an hour to two hours for help and or medicine. I never had that problem with Colbalt. I had the same if not better care then the hospital. The management from the top down was exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Had a long and wonderful stay at Cobalt. My wife and I were impressed with the cleanliness and organization, but most of all, by the level of care. The staff were an absolute highlight: from docs to nurses, PT to OT, even the food (when can you say that about hospitals?). Very grateful.

Positive experience: I was a patient at Cobalt in December 2019. For the reasons I state in this review, if you have the option of going elsewhere, do not go to Cobalt. Overall, the staff was okay and, with the exception of my pain medication, I received all of my medication timely. Trish is an outstanding nurse, dedicated and really cares about her patients. She made sure that I received all of my medication timely and promptly responded when I pressed the call button. However, it was hit or miss with the other nurses and aides as far as the call button, and it was mostly miss. Many times an hour would pass with no response. The quality of the food varied from excellent to not good. Breakfast was always excellent. Lunch and dinner had issues. The fruit was canned and not fresh. With the exception of the salads, the vegetables seemed canned also. There were not even any bananas or apples. Many times, items that were supposed to be available every day in the event that you wanted something other than the “meal of the day” were simply not in stock. There was also an issue with showers. Apparently, a patient is entitled to a shower only every two days. If you were lucky, you received a shower as part of your rehabilitation therapy. If you did not, the aide on duty during the day tried to pass the shower detail to the night aide. Frequently, patients spoke about how they were awakened at 3:00 a.m. for their shower. They agreed to shower at this ridiculous hour because they were concerned about not having the opportunity to shower until two more days had passed. Finally, there was the issue of cleanliness. In the 10-day period that I was a patient, my bed sheets were changed twice. My room and my bathroom went uncleaned for days even though the toilet was filthy and gross. It got to the point where one of the assigned aides tried to clean the toilet as best she could even though it was not her job, but the job of housekeeping. If you must stay here because other facilities will not admit you, then be sure to bring Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer with you.

Fantastic experience: I’m a registered nurse, and was nervous about sending my mother here after reading all the negative reviews. However, I’m so glad I realized most of them were old, and decided to give them a try-especially since it was one of the few rehab facilities that offered private rooms. It’s exceptionally clean, spacious modern, and praise be, it smells nice. The rehab staff was excellent-Huge thank you to Mike, Hannah and Misty! The kitchen staff was extremely friendly. The food was pretty good, but what was also great was that mom could order off a grill menu if she didn’t like what was being offered. The case manager listened to our needs and met them all. The Medical director, Dr. Bagley was especially attentive and made sure we were comfortable and that all our needs were being met. The Nurse Practitioner, Angel Johnson, was absolutely phenomenal. Even though I’m a nurse, she taught my mother and I so much about post-stroke and hip replacement care. She was so attentive to every need mom had. I noticed her interactions with other patients and she truly is as her name states-an angel. I would absolutely recommend Cobalt Rehabilitation.

Fantastic experience: My mother in law was inpatient at Cobalt for about a week. Her nurses were outstanding and the care she received was wonderful. I have been to many facilities and this facility is clean, doesnt have the "nursing home, rehab hospital" smell (the first thing my mom noticed) and everyone from the helper at the front desk to the people working in the cafeteria all exceeded our expectations in their friendliness and willingness to help. Thanks Cobalt for treating someone I love so wonderful.

Fantastic experience: My father was the patient and he received the best care. I could not be more pleased. I would like to thank the cafeteria staff, the nurses and the support staff, especially a young man named Cisco you were so patient and kind with my father and with me you made the stay there the best ever. Thank you for your kindness i will never be able to repay you.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience for the most part everybody had a positive healing vibe! The PT and OT therapist were great. Kim stood out the most, she really goes the extra mile! The RN's and CNA were wonderful. Les had such a positive vibe. Betty was beyond wonderful and extremely helpful.The kitchen staff was nice but I would recommend ordering from the a la cart menu.

Fantastic experience: Cobalt was my first rehab experience so I have no others to compare. However, I can not speak highly enough of our experience there. We came to AZ for a vacation and shortly thereafter my wife began to experience loss of her motor skills. A few days later she was recovering from brain surgery at Barrow Neurological Institute. After a week there we were advised to go to Rehab and Cobalt was recommended to us. EVERYTHING was wonderful about this place. Nice, new, clean, relaxed, comfortable, Outstanding food, Rehab set to the level of your needs and the nurses and staff were incredible. It was the perfect place for my wife to rest, heal and recover from her surgery. I could write a book but I won't. I did read a few negative reviews here but we did not see any of that. One of the nurses that we loved was so special to us that we teared up when we left. Hopefully we will never need rehab again but if we do.... I hope it will be Cobalt.

Fantastic experience: We saw a lot of Rehabilitation places and hospitals during my wife's last 3 years in Arizona and Kansas as she battled MS and lost both of her legs. We never saw anything like the care, concern, facilities, technology, staff, dining, therapy or nursing as at Cobalt. This is the best place for the best overall care and improvement. I see other reviews on here that look like comments that the hospital addressed right rather than true reviews. If you or your family member want to get better, this is where you want to go.

Fantastic experience: I want to thank everyone involved in the care of my mother-in-law after she fell and broke her pelvis. The staff was very kind, accommodating, and her personal needs were met with dignity and compassion. Her doctor was attentive, with a very nice bedside manner, and really listened to her. He asked her questions, took a true interest in her, and understood her situation, and treated her with respect. He made us all very comfortable that he did truly care, and would work with her to ensure that she would achieve her goals and transition successfully onto the next leg of her journey. We thank you all so much for your wonderful care and compassion.

Fantastic experience: I volunteer at this hospital occasionally, usually helping case management. I’ve never been with a group of employees and staff who care so much about each individual patient. Everyone who works here is the most genuine, caring, and phenomenal human beings I have ever met. Their physical therapy equipment is amazing and they push their patients to becoming better, more self sufficient people. I love volunteering for this hospital and would recommend it to anyone in need of a rehabilitation hospital.

Fantastic experience: Have received positive feedback from both former patients as well as former staff. Working with this facility is always a great experience. The building is very nice, rooms are large and accommodating. Would place my own family member here for rehabilitation if needed.

Positive experience: My wife had suffered a stroke after having a triple bypass surgery. We were pleased with the service there especially with the rehab staff. Professional, sweet and caring. Fantastic experience: I usually have quite a bit of complaints about nursing staffs at the hospitals I've been to. However, the nursing at cobolt was more then impressive. Everyone was kind and answered any questions I could think of. Definitley would choose them again in the future.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to thank everyone at Cobalt. The wonderful staff, nurses , CNA and doctors that are there that had helped my mother when she was admitted her about a year and a half ago. they gave her the support and motivation to try her best and without it my family is forever grateful. they helped my mom so much being a 3x brain cancer survivor and unfortunately suffered from a stroke out of no where left her unable to move on one side. The people there are so dedicated to help their patient. especially Jason he has been the most supportive person there helped me and my family..all I can say is if anyone needs any physical therapy or rehab cobalt is the way to go.

Fantastic experience: After having a severe POTS Syndrome flare up, Cobalt welcomed me to their hospital, kept my symptoms under control, and treated me like a VIP. After making sure my symptoms were being addressed, they made sure I was ready to go home and recover. Not only did they make sure I could recover, they made sure I could improve the quality of my life by setting me up with group that will provide in home therapy. To the entire staff at Cobalt, my fiance genuinely thank you for giving me another shot at being as healthy as I can possibly be.

Fantastic experience: My friend Alberto was accepted into Cobalt after his neck injury at work, I visited him there often because he has no close family here in AZ. The staff was amazing by supporting him and helping him with his therapy and morale. Even helping him eat as he had difficulty using his hands, thanks to them I'm so happy to see Alberto using his hands, being mobile in his wheelchair, and brushing his own teeth, those are the little things that make a big difference. Thanks to the nurses and Jason for helping so much to make a difficult time in our lives an amazing human experience! I highly recommend the place, plus the food is great!

Fantastic experience: On March of this year my wife Selene was admitted to COBALT Rehabilitation Hospital, after we received an offering from their clinical Liaison Jason Froio. He had followed her case at Abrazo West Hospital (who has a close working partnership with COBALT), and knew about her precarious health situation and our financial difficulties. He told us Cobalt had selected us for a pro bono transfer to their hospital as part of their charity endeavor to give back to our community. We felt blessed and humbled for that opportunity and the chance to further in the healing progress of my wife. She had originally been admitted to Abrazo West Hospital in February 21st of this year with severe symptoms of an allergy which was causing her rashes, hives, nauseas, headaches, and the worst of all; immobility and the lack of swallowing movement on her throat. She could not eat or drink water for 2 weeks. After lots of tests, doctors concluded she had Guillain Barre syndrome and a CIDP. After receiving treatment she was making little progress, and that's when we were transferred to COBALT Rehab. At their state of the art facility my wife made big strides. Their staff on par with their modern accomodations, was exceptional. They truly have a love an care atmosphere. Their rooms are spaceful and private. While being there their group of doctors kept a close evaluations and further testsing at my wife progress finding one of the main causes of here physical deterioration; Adrenal gland insufficiency, which ultimately saved her life. After three weeks there my wife gain mobility of her extremities and was able to swallow food again. They not only built her physical strenght but they also built a family relationship with us.For this and a million reasons we are thankful to COBALT Rehabilitation, their staff, Jason and everyone that helped my wife and consequently my family to get a 2nd chance.
