SUNY Upstate Rehabilitation at IHP: Reviews
Negative experience: My mother is a patient here and I'm beyond frustrated. She's been going here for months without any signs of improving with physical therapy. The worst part about this place is the lack of communication. Everytime I try to call, no one will ever pick up the phone. Their voicemail claims to get back to you next business day but they never do. When you try to stop in to the location to speak to someone, apparently no one is around to see you, the receptionist just tells you to call the number! It feels like I'm taking crazy pills. It shouldn't be this hard to get in contact with their offices, especially with something as important as this. This place is run terribly.
Positive experience: As a longtime patient of THP center, back before the pool broke (iykyk), I was encouraged then quickly discouraged when I went there for my 1st appt in years. The intake person downstairs was so unbothered by much that she always took her sweet time to check folks in, making the line SUPER late! The sad part is, there is an additional intake counter upstairs that hasn't been "manned" since right after the pool broke because of the scramble to rearrange consumers aquatic physical therapy needs ASAP! Now the pool is back open (HALLELUJAH) HEY!?... It's a NICE pool AND the intake process is still crappie!? They have too much space for what's going on in that building! ✌
Negative experience: I want to give 5 because my quarrel is not with the therapy staff, but the intake - i cannot get a hold of anyone, and I never ever get a call back, ever. I don't know what else to do, but your best bet is to drive down and make an appointment in person because you will not get ahold of anyone not a call back from the IHP front desk.
Negative experience: They NEVER. answer the phone!!
Negative experience: I went for a evaluation and need to wait 6 weeks to be seen not fried Boy parking as a stroke patient I should not have to wait this long
Negative experience: Been on hold 50 minutes to schedule appointments for my son.
Fantastic experience: Great physical therapy experience all around. Knowledgeable and caring staff, and nice facility. I recommend this place for sure.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly, knowledgeable staff!
Negative experience: Perhaps they are wonderful physical therapists. But after four separate attempts, waiting on hold each time between 25 and 40 minutes, I gave up on an appointment
Positive experience: Staff and general experience is good reception and trying to get a hold of anyone is a freaking joke
Fantastic experience: Very nice people
Negative experience: If you need to call this office, Good Luck!! I generally am on hold for at least 45 minutes, and as of right now I have been holding for 59 minutes and 17 seconds. This is ridiculous.
Positive experience:
Positive experience: The stuff is very friendly and extremely helpful with your rehabilitation needs. But the representative is not so helpful when. It comes to assistances. the waiting time is over 40 minutes for pick up.
Negative experience: Take forever to pick up the phone .. I have to wait more then 40 min on phone
Fantastic experience: Upstate PM&R rehab is a fantastic program. I would not have came as far as I have without the support of the PT/OTs I have seen :) so so grateful for all they have done for me:) highly recommend them :)
Fantastic experience: Great doctors at Upstate. The staff are very helpful and understanding. The staff are sincere with the care you get.
Fantastic experience: Friendly, knowledgeable staff help you recover as fast as possible. They even have specialized therapists for specific parts of your body, like a hand specialist. They have several other sites so you can see someone at the most convenient location.
