Fantastic experience: I had a very positive experience working with Tara Ahlf at the Bellevue location. Her instruction and demonstration for each exercise was always clear and understandable. She also gave excellent feedback assuring correct performance and safety. The variety of activities she consistently assigned provided the perfect mix for progressing and strengthening my knee to its optimum level. She aways asked for feedback at the beginning of each session, and made adjustments when necessary. It was the best overall experience I've had doing Physical Therapy, having worked with a number of other therapist over the years. I'm grateful for Tara's knowledge and approach, and highly recommend her as a Physical Therapist.

Fantastic experience: Have been to a few Hidef locations so far and each of them are great. The attention to detail and knowledge helping me recover from a bulging disc injury. Every therapist I have had have been fantastic.

Negative experience: I am sharing my experience as a caution to others considering this physical therapy clinic. I was being treated for a mild elbow injury (partial ulnar collateral ligament tear) and had reached a point where I was pain-free and recovering well. During the second session following this injury, I was instructed to perform an isometric hold using a 15-lb kettlebell/dumbbell. This represented a significant and abrupt increase from the much lighter weight used the prior week. I trusted the clinical guidance provided and did not question the progression. Unfortunately, this exercise resulted in a re-injury to my elbow. Three months later, the pain has still not resolved, despite receiving appropriate physical therapy at another clinic. I have since consulted two orthopedic surgeons who specialize in elbow injuries. Both expressed serious concern when I described how the re-injury occurred and explained that this particular exercise places unnecessary shear stress on the ulnar collateral ligament, the same ligament that was already injured, thereby increasing strain rather than promoting safe rehabilitation. In addition, I felt uncomfortable with how strongly patients were encouraged to leave positive Google reviews. On one occasion, I was explicitly asked to leave a review because the clinic was “competing with other offices for a prize,” which felt unprofessional. While I believe the intent may have been to help, the lack of appropriate clinical judgment, insufficient consideration for patient safety, and the pressure to provide positive reviews are concerning. I recommend exercising caution if choosing treatment here.

Fantastic experience: Graduated from HIDEF today! I had a really bad plantar fasciitis and calf muscle injury last winter. Hannah was my assigned PT. She carefully did an evaluation and came with a complete treatment plan. I like how she listened to my complains every time and showed lots of empathy. The deep tissue massage was always a relief during the recovery period. Keep in mind to reserve in advance and get on the waitlist!

Fantastic experience: HIDEF in Bellevue is AWESOME. I had Logan as my primary PT to help with recovery from shoulder surgery, as well as a few appointments with Tara and Megan when there was a scheduling conflict. All of them are incredible physical therapists and I would highly recommend any of them. Kendrah at the front desk is also very nice and super helpful when it comes to scheduling. 5/5 stars!

Fantastic experience: For the past 10 years, I’ve visited various physical therapy clinics for (what I thought was) a knee injury. My most recent attempt to get help took me to HIDEF, and my experience has been completely unlike any other clinic I've been to in the past, in the best way possible. Hannah has worked with me to find the root of my injury and pain, and we discovered that what I had been treating as a knee injury was really stemming from somewhere else entirely. Hannah has taken more time and care to address my injuries than any other PT I've been to, and I appreciate that my treatment plan has been dynamic and detail oriented. It's great to have found a PT who is not only super knowledgable, but also positive and motivating. I've been able to pick back up activities that I haven't been able to do for years, and I feel like I'm getting part of my life back that I thought I might have lost - so grateful that I found HIDEF!

Fantastic experience: Finding HIDEF has been a true highlight since I tore my ACL during an ultimate frisbee game. Working with Kelly, in particular, has made a huge difference in my recovery. Now eight weeks post-surgery and making steady progress, I appreciate her blend of genuine care and professionalism that makes every session feel personalized and supportive. She challenges and motivates me in the best way, turning rehab—which can be tough—into something I actually look forward to twice a week, leaving each visit feeling stronger and more confident. Big kudos to Kendrah as well, who manages the front desk and scheduling with impressive efficiency. She was able to squeeze me in on very short notice for my first post-surgery rehab session, which was invaluable given the time-sensitive nature of everything. I’m excited to continue this comeback journey alongside these wonderful people. You truly couldn’t go wrong with any of the PTs in this clinic — having tried a few others clinics before, none have had the same chemistry and care as HIDEF!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been working with Logan since one week after my ACL and meniscus reconstruction surgery back in March, and I couldn’t ask for a better physical therapist. He is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and supportive. When I needed a second knee surgery, Logan was there for me through the entire process — not just with expert care, but also with genuine emotional support, which meant a lot during a tough time. Thanks to his guidance, I’m now walking again and making steady progress. I’m confident I’ll continue to recover and get back to full strength with his help for the rest of the year. The entire staff at this HIDEf location is also wonderful — everyone is friendly, welcoming, and creates a positive, encouraging environment for recovery. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to HIDEF Physical Therapy since a knee injury in 2023 and recently had L4-L5 Spinal Fusion surgery and it was a no brainer who I was going to use to get me back to my old self post surgery. Once I was released for physical therapy I signed up with Kelly at HIDEF Bellevue and scheduled out for the next three months. This is my first week back to PT and I already feel better and have great confidence in the plan Kelly has laid out for me. The team at HIDEF is friendly, professional, and invests in each person they work with focusing on improving mobility, movement, and overall health. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Hi-def physical therapy for over a year now, and in my opinion, it is, without a doubt, the best PT office I have ever been to. Without exception, from the moment I walk in, I am treated with the utmost respect, courtesy, warm smiles and friendliness from the entire staff and feel very welcomed. They run on time on a consistent basis and always put their patient first and foremost. My physical therapist is always there for me as I have had multiple health issues since I have been going there and the last year has been difficult for me, but Kelly shows so much empathy and compassion for me. I consider her to be a friend. They are all very knowledgeable and their skill set always seems to be on point. I am a retired RN and I’m always impressed with their creativity, their knowledge, their flexibility in scheduling if issues arise, the list goes on and on. And, the physical space is always immaculate! I recommend them to people I know. The staff seems to enjoy each other, and their patients which is a rarity these days. They are always professional, another rarity, and I am so grateful for what they do for all of us, everyday.

Fantastic experience: Every experience I have had here has been overwhelmingly positive! Every person on the staff is so warm and welcoming! I heard physical therapy was supposed to be hard but the encouragement from my pt and the experience overall has made it a highlight of my recovery process!

Only months ago I limbed in a beat up old man struggling to walk normal and afraid to go up and downstairs. Kelly has done a wonderful job getting me to walk almost normal and climb up and down stairs with NO HANDS!

Negative experience: On November 11th, I came in for low back pain that I had been dealing with for five months. I was seen by Rachel. During the evaluation, she pressed around my back very hard, which I initially didn’t think much of, until she suddenly began applying excruciating pressure. Without any warning, she had me lie on my back and proceeded to forcefully push down on both my hips, leaving me feeling extremely uncomfortable. I went home with excruciating hip pain along with my previous back pain. The week following my appointment with Rachel was especially difficult due to the additional hip pain. I tried scheduling follow-up appointments to address this new and worsening issue right away, but I was told there were no openings until two weeks out. Joe and Hannah had been helpful in trying to get me in. But when appointments finally became available, the timing options were difficult for me. I'm a pre med student with a tight schedule. Not to mention their cancellation policies and procedures are not communicated. I was told I can just call and cancel if I can't make it to my appointments, after telling them my schedule, in regards to booking out appointments. Now, it’s December 11th—a month after my appointment with Rachel—my left hip pain remains debilitating. This entire experience has been so disheartening and overwhelming. I came in hoping to address my low back pain, but now I have this additional, significant issue in my hip after Rachel pushed down on it

Fantastic experience: This office is clean, easy access, easy free parking. Zac Smith, the owner is an excellent therapist. He treated me twice and both times very efficiently. My symptoms go away in 2-3 weeks. They gave me an app to remind me to do exercises.

Fantastic experience: My experience with HIDEF has been nothing but wonderful. I found them after being to a few different physical therapists and it was the best decision I could’ve made for myself. My DPT, Angelo Hynds, took time to listen to my concerns and after just a few appointments recommended I get an MRI for my knee. I had been trying to get one for years, but had no luck getting a referral from previous dr’s. Long story short, it is because of him I found out my meniscus was torn to shreds, I recently had meniscus surgery, and am on the road to recovery. Do yourself a favor and go to HIDEF and start living your life the way you should!

At the same time, he is a great listener and he used what he learned from me to adjust his care to get better results. In general, HIDEF’s practice is pro-health and pro-strength, fun and supportive, and I truly think AJ might have saved my life.

Fantastic experience: Rachel and Dr Zach are amazing! I was referred by my foot doctor. My plantar fasciitis was fully recovered after a few weeks of regularly treatment here - keeping massaging, stretching and muscle strengthening. They will periodically check your recovery status and make sure you catch up. They also tried new techniques during treatment. I dropped from time to time a few times due to personal errands, but their front desk is persistent to keep me back as a habit. Being part of my daily routine, now I feel my body is in a better state, plantar fasciitis and lower back pain is much relieved!

Fantastic experience: Such a great experience! HIDEF Bellevue came into my life via a referral from ProOrtho with the adjective "assertive" used. The coaches and doctors jumped right in to diagnosing my ailments and identifying stretches and strength training appropriate to long-term correction. While I sweat every time I go - which is now weekly - I never feel rushed or treated as anything other than a valued patient. I'm in roughly my 8th week of physical therapy and have felt significant improvements across all identified areas. I'm glad to have found this group!
