Fantastic experience: I have had procedures on both knees and rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder and I was never hesitant. I knew that FTG in Lakemont was my go to place and the best PT ever, Sam.

Fantastic experience: I've been in/out of PT for about 25 years. As my EDS has resulted in more injuries, especially lately, I needed to find a PT with a holistic focus. Unfortunately, it's not just one joint, but a systemic problem where the focus can change. By being proactive and focusing on stabilizing joints, I might be able to have fewer injuries, more stability, and less wear/tear/pain. At least hopefully. I've enjoyed my time at FTG, although I'm still quite a new patient. Everyone has taken time to listen and come up with a plan. Everyone is also very chill which makes the appointments fly by.

Fantastic experience: I have had chronic back issues for a year. My wife recently was referred to FTG Physical Therapy and had a great experience. I then made a series of appointments (4) and learned exercises & stretches to manage my pain. As a result my back pains are greatly reduced in frequency and intensity. I am now able to easily manage the pain when I "over do" my physical activities (Hiking, golf etc). Exceptional staff!

As someone who's been seeking PT for over 20 years and has tried nearly every clinic around, I can confidently say that no one comes close to the care and expertise you'll find here. Dr. Sam, Vanessa, and Macee make up an incredible team. Their professionalism, compassion, and genuine empathy create an environment where you feel truly cared for. I actually look forward to my visits — something I never thought I’d say about physical therapy! Dr. Sam helped restore my faith in PT. Thanks to his skill and guidance, I’ve seen real progress with issues that have troubled me for years, including Plantar Fasciitis, sciatic nerve pain, and a fractured L3 and coccyx. If you're looking for a PT clinic that treats you like family and delivers real results, FTG is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Kendall for several months on an injury and she is awesome! She is highly knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and supportive. My injury improved significantly during my time at FTG. It is a night and day difference from when I started my treatment to when I ended. The entire staff at FTG is excellent and I always had a positive experience at my PT sessions. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: I love my neighborhood FTG. Both my husband and myself have visited for different ailments and injuries and the treatment and result are great. Sam from the Lakemont practice is so good and so fun, and everyone else is really excellent as well. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Therapy itself is really good and very helpful, I no longer feel my foot pain during tennis. The reason I give 2 starts is the bill and insurance procedure. When I first comes in, I give my insurance information, and they also run the checks (well I assume they check insurance), I was not notified that this is not fully covered by my insurance, otherwise I won't come in the first place. And one month later, I recieved $700 bill for 4 session. I called local office, they said they are not the one issue the bill, and I called their head office and they just said this what your insurance covered. So if you are coming to this place, you need to check your insurance company yourself and understand the exact coverage (which is not expected), otherwise you will be surprised and get a huge bill one month later

Fantastic experience: I am not one to leave a review for any place. I have had this pain that i thought that i would never get rid of. Not only did Sam, Roman, Anna and Kayla helped me get rid of this pain that i had for over 5 years, but they also became really good friends. They challenge you enough to strengthen you but they also help you feel at home and make sure that you are well taken care of. Roman gives killer massages! If i could go just for the massages i'd go every day!!! Anna is so friendly that the exercises go by quickly and she supports you every step of the way!!! I cannot thank them enough.

Fantastic experience: After fracturing my ankle in two places, I started physical therapy with FTG Lakemont about three months ago. My therapist is Sam Olmstead, and I have been extremely impressed with his knowledge about my injury and his treatment plan. He has been outstanding in explaining what is happening as my ankle heals. Sam is easy to talk with, a good listener, and very encouraging. I always look forward to each visit. From barely being able to put weight on my ankle, I am almost completely recovered. The other staff at this clinic are also skilled, and they work well together as a team. My husband recently started to see Sam for a shoulder injury, and he shares my favorable views about his own PT sessions. Both of us highly recommend Sam and this clinic for PT services.

Fantastic experience: This is a 10 star review because doctor Sam and Kayla the assistant therapist at FTG in the Lakemont location cured my severe stabbing debilitating back pain in 6 weeks. 100% pain free and loving it !!!!!!!! I have had severe stabbing back pain increasing over the last 10 years to the point I could barely walk or stand up. I had seen 5 back doctors, 6 chiropractors and been to 8 or 9 physical therapists over this time with minimal improvement after countless hours doing a range of exercises and stretches as well as several series of injections . Sam was different than all the other therapists I had been to that typically took 2 minutes listening and then pulled stock exercises from their catalog. The exercises were time consuming, varied between uncomfortable to painful, but more importantly were ineffective. Sam actually spent the first 30 or 40 minutes of my first visit listening to my entire story of increasing pain and ineffectual treatments. After listening to my history he explained what he thought the cause of my pain was, how and why it caused me pain and the treatment plan to address my issues. Sam ran me through several stretches and exercises to address my problems. I am not gunna lie, I hated them, it hurt to do them, but interestingly the exercises caused “discomfort” in areas not near the areas I suffered stabbing pain which was totally different than all my previous therapy experiences that simply caused pain in the areas of existing pain. I realized that Sam’s approach was different which gave me hope. During my second visit Sam added more exercises which again I hated and caused more“discomfort” in areas away from my existing pain centers. By the time I got home I could start to feel a lessening of the stabbing pain which motivated me to religiously do the exercises on my time between visits. After the first week I knew Sam had me on the right path. After 3 weeks I was 75% better Fast forward to 6 weeks and I am pain feel for the first time in 10 years. I can play golf and hockey w/ zero pain. Hallelujah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Sam !!!!!! Going to the appointments was like going to see a friend that was helping you. Sam was always asking how things were going and showed genuine interest in any improvements or setbacks you were having from exercises and answered all my questions, and I had a lot of questions after 10 years of false hope and wasted time. Then we always had friendly chit chat about all kinds of subjects which was a nice change from awkward barber chair talk w/ many therapists. And my review would not be complete w/o a big thank you to Kayla the assistant therapist that ran me through all the stretches and exercises each visit. Kayla is super sweet and funny and did a lot of the exercises along side me which made them not nearly as unpleasant as doing them solo. Her cheerfulness just made the whole process way better than any of the other therapists I had been to. So thank you Kayla !!!!!!!!!!! And for those curious about the location and cause of my pain. It was in my SI joints alternating between left and right side of my lower back until the last 3 years it settled on the right side to the point of not being able to perform any daily activity. The treatment was comprehensive stretches to increase motion in and around my unnatural tightness and the limited range of motion in my hips and lower back that caused excessive stretching and extreme pain in my SI joints. Increasing the range of motion in my hips and lower back eliminated the unnatural stretching of my SI joints which eliminated the pain Again I am pain free and back on the golf course and ice rink totally pain free !!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this clinic especially if you live in the nearby neighborhoods. The staff here are so friendly and knowledgeable so it's always a comfortable visit. They have two physical therapists (Sam and Kate), one personal trainer (Noble), and the desk girl who also helps with patients (Kayla). Kayla is super kind and helpful about rescheduling, helping with billing, or just listening about your week. For my treatment I've worked with Sam and Noble. Sam is super goofy and always wants to ask you questions so treatments are never boring. He's very knowledgeable and can quickly adapt treatment plans as needed. Noble helps me with exercises and gives very good feedback on my form which is always a concern for me. I haven't worked with Kate but I have talked with her and she is so sweet. I hope you give this place a try! They even let me name their plants lol.

Fantastic experience: These guys literally saved my life. I never met a better group of professionals in my entire existence. It started off with hip pain and then I used them for my back pain and finally my foot. Three body parts that they healed. I was on the brink of death until he did something and fixed my hip and now I can walk because of him. Sam is such a physical therapist. He makes me laugh and fixes my bones at the same time. He is not just a therapist for the body but for the soul. I highly recommend them if you need physical therapy or just a good laugh they are great people and I’m sure when I die I’ll see them again in heaven. Just kidding but for real, I highly recommend Sam and his staff!
