Fantastic experience: I first started working with Danielle after I tore my ACL. Danielle worked with me to make my knee strong enough for surgery. After my surgery was completed, I spent many months working with Danielle. I faced many challenges throughout my recovery. There were points, where my swelling was very significant I thought I would need an additional surgery to remove scar tissue. Danielle worked with me each week, specializing my needs to fit my progress and my specific situation. She helped me get back to my pre injury activities. I now feel confident hiking, running, and lifting weights again. She is always available to answer any hesitations and will adjust your program as needed. This is the first time where I felt like I can trust a medical professional. I didn’t feel like a number or just another client. Danielle made me feel heard. No one tells you how difficult recovery is going to be so please choose a therapist that will spends weeks, months, and even years working with you. Surgery is just step one. Recovery is crucial.

Fantastic experience: Danielle is such a great physical therapist. Her patience and follow through are second to none! I’ve seen her for multiple issues (mostly because of soccer) and she has created a plan for each that has kept me going! She is great, I highly recommend her!

Fantastic experience: Danielle is by far the best physical therapist in Ventura county. I’m a 47-year-old athlete who has had multiple injuries and surgeries and she has managed to help me with rehabilitation and recovery. I’m now stronger and smarter because of her. Forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: Danielle is amazing!!! Honestly so grateful to have her in our world. She has helped our soccer family of 5 so much! She’s helped us through ACL and other knee injuries, back issues for a teen soccer player, ankle issues, plantar fasciitis to name a few. Totally the best person and best PT :)

Fantastic experience: Danielle is a knowledgeable, attentive, and detail-oriented PT who takes the time to understand your issues and performs a thorough assessment to prescribe a rehab regime that gives results. I had been plagued with hip pain upon increasing my running distance and was unable to get rid of the ache no matter how much I rolled out or trigger pointed the aching areas. She spent a hour assessing my gait, form, knee, foot, toe flexion, and any muscle imbalance. She expertly found all the areas that needed strengthening and/or increased mobility and prescribed a regimen that I dutifully followed for many weeks and resulted in not only recovery but being able to increase my mileage even further. She's a hands-on, responsive PT who genuinely cares about her patient's well-being and designs programs that are easy to follow but challenging enough to give results.

Fantastic experience: I started working with Danielle at Ascent Orthopedic’s about 9 months before my hip replacement. She was so awesome. Attention to detail and she helped me to be in the best position for surgery. My recovery was a breeze and I also went for post care. I have been to 3-4 Physical therapists before finding her and I highly recommend her care. Her clinic is state of the art .

Fantastic experience: Ascent is a blessing!!!! I was recovering from a long hospital stay in the ICU due to pneumonia, and heart issues. It was almost impossible considering the work that was required! Danielle knew what was needed to help me. Her encouragement, her Know how, and the right combination of both helped me big time. She reminds me that I get a good return for the effort I put in. Her kindness with her firm no nonsense approach worked in tandem to encourage me to continue to do my workouts. She is a caring, knowledgeable and hard working PT and I am so totally grateful to her help in my recovery!

Fantastic experience: I went to Ascent to “shore things up” after getting selected for the Western States 100. Danielle was great identifying weak areas and prescribing exercises. Very detail oriented. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I feel so lucky to have found Danielle. I can’t recommend her highly enough. Every time I’ve had a problem she could pin point the cause and treat it. She is very intuitive and skilled. She is one of the most talented physical therapists I have found. She is so knowledgeable and skilled. Danielle spends the entire session helping you and doesn’t hand you off to an assistant. You are with the expert all of the time. She truly cares about helping you to heal.

Fantastic experience: I found Danielle Cooper after experiencing a bad ankle fracture in a rock climbing fall. She helped me through a many-months long journey after my initial injury and then again a year later when I had surgery on the same ankle. Throughout these two periods, I came across many different physical therapists and Danielle far exceeded them all in terms of knowledge, application, and relatability. With Danielle, I always had her full attention for the duration of my appointment and her therapy and treatment plans were always tailored exactly to me and my injury and recovery. There was nothing "cookie-cutter" about it. No matter what hiccup I met in my recovery - weird twinges and aches or larger setbacks (which are inevitable), she seemed to be able to immediately identify the cause of my problem and make a plan for a solution. Working in the medical field myself, I appreciated that Danielle could always go in-depth with me about the physiology specific to my injury and recovery and was always up to date on the latest research and treatment methods. I had complete confidence and trust in her - something that is hard to find in this industry and something that contributed greatly to my recovery. My injury was significant enough that I wasn't sure I was going to be able to return to the activities I had loved to do. Danielle was able to help me make a 100% recovery and return to all my pre-injury sports, including beach volleyball and rock climbing, and made me feel so supported along the way. Cannot recommend her enough!

Fantastic experience: I'm a Master's runner with a Master's PR of 2:53 in the marathon (Boston)-- I say this not to brag, but to convey I know hard training (and injury) and have worked with many PT's, Chiropractors, Somatic Practitioners, DPM's, etc., over the last decade dealing with chronic injuries. When my posterior tibial tendonitis got so bad that I couldn't stand or bare weight, I drove myself to get a boot... if you're a runner, you know that's bad. Exasperated by finding no good clinical help, I was almost going to write off practitioners for good until I found Danielle Cooper. Unlike the typical 15 min appt with nothing accomplished, Danielle spent quality time evaluating my case and started me with a program of rehab that addressed the root cause, not just the symptoms. I was a "good" patient and took my PT homework seriously (I'm motivated to run) and she rehabbed me to 100% return-to-sport, and changed my thinking about the importance of strength work for preventative medicine. Danielle knows her anatomy and she's an athlete herself so understands the frustration of being side-lined with injury. She's smart and is thoughtful with her process. She listens and treats you as an individual, not the typical "here's-your-diagnosis-see-you-in-2-weeks" generic doctor mantra. The only disappointment about getting better is that I miss my weekly appointments with Danielle because as a bonus she's a really nice and cool person to be around! If you're hurt, go see Danielle. Don't waste your time or money anywhere else. Cheers to health!
