Fantastic experience: I have worked in healthcare for 13 years and this is the best facility I have ever had the pleasure of working for. We are truly one big family and our interdisciplinary teamwork is second to none. I’ve had my own family members stay in our assisted living and our short stay rehab with great experiences. I would recommend HCR Topeka to anyone recovering from an injury, new diagnosis, or surgery to use our short stay rehab, the therapy team cannot wait to meet you!! If anyone is looking for long term care or assisted living, come join our little family, we’ve got lots of love and activities to shower you with!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing place to work. Staff provide amazing care to the residents, they are so passionate caring and have amazing team work.

Positive experience: I'm scheduled to stay at this place later this week. After reading other reviews, I'm hoping things have drastically improved in the last year or so. I'd hate to have to be moved to a better facility before I'm ready to go home. Anyone have anything positive to say about or know if this place has improved their care and hiring more caring employees? Thank you in advance for your help.

Fantastic experience: I was in the Rehab section. Excellent Medical Care. All staff including kitchen interactive with patients. Apparent they liked their jobs and we're interested in patient's well being. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I love to come and eat with the local people here. I used to provide services to HR and many ask when I will come and eat dinner with them. Thumbs up to the awesome staff like Melody,Kristi,Brooke,Greg and his excellent food service workers. When I get old I'm coming to stay with you guys. I miss all of you!!!!!!!

Positive experience: I want to say that the elderly need to have an advocate. You need to be involved in your loved ones care, and if you have any questions about anything you need to ask about it, and if it doesn't make sense or seem right keep asking or get another opinion.

Positive experience: The facility as a whole is a nice place. The dining area,therapy room and rooms are great. They have some great staff aswell as some that are just there for the paycheck. However I wished that all staff were on the same page and new all the rules and regulations. I also wouldn't recommend taking a early morning shower. My dad was left in the shower during shift change for almost 30 mins before anyone came to check on him mins you he is a recent amputee. While arriving to visit the front door was locked I had to call a family member to let me in do to them not answering the doorbell after 5 mins.
