Providence Transitional Care Center: Reviews
Fantastic experience: The service here is 10+. I had gotten transferred from Crest Care Center, which by the way is the last place you would want to place your loved one in.
Fantastic experience: I was in the main hospital Little Company of Mary due to issues with my back for two weeks. After two weeks I was stable enough that I didn't need skilled nursing but was not stable enough with my balance, gait, strength ect to return home. The Dr explained to me that she wanted me to get inpatient rehab here at Providence Company of Mary. I was more than apprehensive about it not wanting to go into a nursing home setting with long term patients there there not for rehab but as nursing home needs. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. It is definitely short term inpatient rehab where every single person here is in active rehab and I am the youngest here at the age of 50 Great facility, outstanding physical therapist'Nurses, Doctors, Medicare Techs, all around superbly amazing staff!!!!!! I didn't want to leave ha ha I highly recommend this facility if in need of it.
Fantastic experience: My mother in law was a patient at this facility and they treated her with respect, and catered to her needs. Physical therapy was throughout the day and she got back to normal quickly. Now fast forward my grandmother is a patient there for a partial hip replacement and they’re so sweet to her. I’m grateful for facilities that cater to patients needs. The facility is spotless, and they’re always cleaning and making sure every room is kept up. FYI I’m a nurse and worked at serval facilities and this is my top 3. Thank you ! Ruben,Doris, Shu and Rosie is A1 staff I’ll edit and include more when my grandmother stay is over.
Positive experience: Pros: Physical Therapist are nurses are wonderful and the facility is very clean! Cons: Some doctors are negative, food is horrible - transferred from Little Company Mary Hospital. Some of the CMAs are good, but a lot are not, because it seems as it is the only job they can get with a six-month course certificate and they are not really their because they want to help the patients, just need a paycheck.
Positive experience: Was there with a patient.
Fantastic experience: Forever grateful to Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance, CA. My first granddaughter was born at this hospital but upon finding out that she had very elevated levels of bilirubin (and hence jaundice) we couldn't bring her home. My daughter was released from the hospital but the little one had to stay. She was placed in the NICU in an incubator with lamps to help her system get rid of it. It was so sad to see my little granddaughter hooked up to ivs with a cap covering her eyes. Because of covid, Only my daughter & her husband were allowed in to see her hold her, breastfed her. The common recurring thread during our experience with this hospital was that the level of care & profesionalism was excellent AND every single person who worked there and we had contact with was extremely kind, patient & polite. Beginning with the OB GYN Dr Lapeles who delivered the baby to the nurses in the labor/delivery ward, nurses in the NICU wing, the people who worked in the cafeteria, every single one of them was outstanding. For that, I'll always be ever so grateful to Providence Little Company Of Mary. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤.
Fantastic experience: Impressed with the level of care that Prov TCC provided for my 96yo mom (stroke pt). Drs Yeh, Cheung, Lagasse, exceptional. PT/OT: Marilyn, Suzanne, Dyke, Denisha and others TY! My mom progressed well because of the work and care provided and now in B&C. Also grateful for the facilities strict covid policies! Covid My
Fantastic experience: This hospital's maternity ward is insanely good! We are so thankful for how kindly we were treated during and after delivery. The nurses took such great care of us and patiently answered any questions we had (there were many). They genuienly seem to enjoy their job and helping people. Thank you traveling nurses, Dominique and Vick, who made delivery a truly enjoyable experience. Thank you Little Company nurses Lilia, Arnette, and Namjoon, who were there for us day and night and always seemed happy to help us with anything we may need. Mamas to be, if you're at all on the fence about where to deliver, this is the place!
