Located within the Rehabilitation Hospital, the Wound Center provides outpatient wound care for wounds that have been slow to heal. These may be wounds caused by diabetes, infections, blood vessel disease, malnutrition or trauma. Our team of doctors, nurses and physical therapists provides a comprehensive approach to wound healing.

Wound Debridement: This minor procedure removes unhealthy tissue and promotes the growth of health tissue in the wound area. Length of treatment varies. Wound Care: Patients are educated about everything from nutrition to proper wound dressing and wound care products to create the correct environment for healing. Treatment varies from three times a week to once a month. Doppler Evaluation: This test determines blood flow available to transport medications for healing. This is a one -time evaluation. Transcutaneous Oxygen Monitoring: (TcPO2): This test determines the level of oxygenation available to the wound to promote healing. This is a one-time evaluation. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: Patients breath 100% oxygen, helping body tissue heal and fight infection. The skilled wound center staff will determine the best plan.
