Fantastic experience: Strained calf muscle. Steven and his team worked with me over six weeks to help me figure out what caused it, exercises to help it heal and be more resistant to injuries in the future. They were all extremely pleasant to work with. I recommend them to anyone who needs to gain mobility, flexibility and/or heal from injuries.

Fantastic experience: Steven was super helpful. I was struggling with debilitating back pain that almost completely immobilized me for 3 months before I saw him. I went to 2 chiropractors and an acupuncturist with very little help. The first time I saw Steven, he worked on me and gave me a few stretches and exercises and 90% of the pain was gone in 24 hrs. He's given me the tools to avoid severe back back when I feel another episode coming. He'll be the first one on my list to visit if I have therapy needs in the future.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved working with Angelo and Stephan! They were super accommodating to my personal goals and overall physical health. They really helped me gain my strength and pushed me to do my best. Really a great place to go if your looking for overall improvements and someone to push and motivate you. Also super knowledgeable and know what they are doing! (I fractured 2 bones in my right leg and wanted to deadlift and back squat again - I was able to do that through motivation and work I did at physical therapy)

Fantastic experience: StepUp Physical Therapy is a wonderful environment and place to heal. Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. I deal with subluxations of joints and am hypermobile. While working with Dr. Reano, he customized exercises that would help build stabilization around my joints. He kept in mind my range of motion and we worked together through each exercise to find the correct positioning that would most benefit my body due to my hypermobility. I highly recommend StepUp Physical Therapy.

Fantastic experience: Steven and Angelo were awesome throughout PT following shoulder surgeries on both shoulders. They really listened to my needs and concerns and tailored a program that allowed me to meet my goals and get back to my love of bowling!

Fantastic experience: I've been struggling with problems with knee for a few years now. It was just a minor bother, so I've never thought much of it. However, as I played and worked on it harder and longer, the pain worsened quite a bit. My brother had mentioned the success he had with Dr. Reano, so I decided to go in and give him a try. He was able to educate me on what was going on in my knee and guide me with some exercises I could do at home to strengthen my knee and reduce soreness. I have found as I do those exercises I've been able to do all that I need/want without as much pain. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Steven is certainly knowledgeable! I have a lot of questions and require A LOT of patience and A LOT more accommodations. Im happy he was willing to educate me and maintain patience. I had to discontinue going to him solely because I moved. He was willing to work with me virtually which was a huge help during the move!

Fantastic experience: I walked into STEP UP extremely hesitant! We had been out of work for 5 years, having been through physical therapy from multiple different places. Only to be in worse shape every time! During my first appointment I was surprised, even then exam was a whole new experience. Now only about two months later I feel like a new person! Fantastic experience: Steven and Angelo were both great. They took the time to listen to my individual issues and limitations. They worked very hard to customize my therapy to my situation. Their therapy and the stretching exercises they taught me to use at work and home were very helpful. My pain went from a strong 8 to a 4 in a matter of a couple of weeks. Fantastic experience: When I decided on Hyaluronic Acid injections for my knee I was referred to StepUp Physical Therapy to do the PT portion of the treatment. Steve and Angelo were great to work with and my pain in the right knee prior to the injections and PT is gone. I play 18 holes of golf twice a week without knee discomfort whatsoever. I highly recommend these guys.

Fantastic experience: If you are suffering from chronic muscle pain or strains, sprains, injuries, and areas of the body that need to be rehabbed, this is the place to go! Therapist Steven and his assistant Angelo will listen well to your needs, examine your injuries thoroughly, and create a plan for how to address lack of mobility and painful movement. I really appreciate being shown the better way to enter and exit my car, and many other modifications to my regular daily tasks. During my 3 ish months of receiving services at Step Up, I experienced a lot of comforts and improvements to my pains that had lingered for a couple years. I have confidence that pains older than mine would also have been improved. The environment/aesthetic: a quiet space with large windows. Nothing distracting near the office. It's in a professional building with plenty of parking around, not far east from the entrance on the east side of Redwood Road. It's the 3rd building down. ☺️ Sometimes they play undistracting music or a pleasant program on the TV (no ads or varying noise levels). There's a bench and some chairs for waiting, plus a water dispenser with good-tasting cold water. Communication/Ease of scheduling: You are asked your preference on how to receive your prescribed exercises: Print out, Text (with a link), or Email. You can call or text with questions or if you need to discuss rescheduling or scheduling. I left a voicemail my first time calling, and I received a call back the same day. Strategy: Identify the weakest areas of the body (for me it was my hips) and the team chooses strengthening exercises. The goal is not only pain relief. It is not only mobility. It is not only strengthening. You will be able to focus on all of these areas. Be honest with the therapists and they'll help you target the priorities for healing. I hope I haven't left anything out, but I'm sure I have. This is my second time writing this, as the first time the screen froze on me and I lost my progress. I hope to see Steven and Angelo again. I would take my family members to them.

Fantastic experience: I had been dealing with pain from a running injury for almost a year and Steven helped me understand the most appropriate stretching techniques and strength training exercises to do to alleviate and eventually get rid of the pain. He helped me improve my injured leg/ glute’s mobility as well. He has also helped give me the equipment to further my treatment in my own.

Fantastic experience: My daughter fell off a skateboard and couldn't walk. We didn't think it was broken but knew she needed help. We went to Steven and he helped us so much! He was so kind and helpful! He gave us the exact help we needed and I felt like he was heaven sent! We had great experience and we are so happy we found Steven!

Fantastic experience: I had been experiencing pain in my lower back, on and off for years, but over the few months before seeing Steven, it had become excruciating, which made it difficult to stand, walk, even move around much at all. I had seen other therapists, doctors, and anyone I could think of that would help, but nothing ever seemed to help. I finally had the opportunity to see Steven, and not only did he help me regain my mobility short-term, but he helped me recover from my injuries and learn the use of some in-home exercises to improve and maintain my mobility and continue to reduce any pain or discomfort. Fantastic experience: I first met Dr. Steven Reano when I had my ACL reconstruction surgery in January 2015 and he worked at IHC. The care I received from him at that time was so impactful that when I had a severely sprained ankle earlier this year I sought him out again. Fantastic experience: I’ve received exceptional care from Steven Reano, Physical Therapist & owner of StepUp Physical Therapy. I met him several years ago at another location and have followed him to his the new location because all physical therapists are not created equally. Steven is exceptional at what he does. If you or someone you know have persistent pain or and injury, Steve is the the guy to see! He’s treated two of my adult children too. He takes most insurances, and if you don’t have insurance his cash pay rates are excellent.

He is flexible about scheduling and is emphatic about my pain level. He is able to push me through without making anything hurt. He is realistic but very optimistic about my progress. Fantastic experience: I had rotator cuff surgery approximately a year ago, and Steven was my PT. I was apprehensive about how painful the PT process would be, but Steven put me completely at ease. He always explained what he was doing, and why, as well as giving (at-home) follow-up exercises. My recovery and range-of-motion are better than new, and I have Steven to thank for it! Fantastic experience: Great PT! Affordable, very friendly, referral perks. I had ongoing back issues due to a recent sports injury. Taking care of it myself wasn't working so I came to see Steven Reano on a whim. He provided both hands-on treatment and at-home exercises for me to do. I was extremely happy with how quickly I saw results. He helped get my back to 100% over just a handful of sessions after months of trying to deal with it myself!
