Copper Ridge Health Care

Fantastic experience: Yesterday, I went to Copper Ridge and met with the Executive Director, Mark Hymas. I was impressed with his knowledge and kindness. The place was very nice and clean as well. You get this sense from people there that they really want to make it a better place. Smiles all around. :) I would feel comfortable bringing my loved one there.

Fantastic experience: I spent 2 weeks at Copper Ridge recovering after breaking my leg it was a great experience. Special shout out to Ryan. He went out of his way to make sure my needs and concerns were met. Thanks Matt and Lauren helping me in PT

Fantastic experience: I had my mother in law admitted to Copper Ridge and I couldn’t recommend it more. Jordan Valley recommended for us to continue her care here and the admissions process could not have been smoother. Lindsay was the one who helped get my MIL admitted and the care and support she puts into making sure each of your individual concerns get addressed and makes sure you’re absolutely prepared for what’s to come. Injury to any family member can be so sudden and throw you for a loop and the reassurance that Lindsay provides through the process is so appreciated for in stressful times. My MIL really appreciated her stay here and we are so grateful for the progress she made. Can’t give enough thanks to the entire therapy department. The nurses are dedicated and made sure she was well taken care of. We especially appreciate Lauren and Helen. The continued support and care that the staff really made a difference in her recovery. Copper Ridge has definitely left a lovely impression on our hearts.

Fantastic experience: Copper ridge is a really amazing place with amazing staff. The nursing department takes their time and makes sure the patients get what they need. The therapy department works with the patients directly and individually depending on the patients needs and accommodates whatever is needed to make the recovery period faster and safer. The transportation department tries their hardest to take patients from and to doctor appointments and where ever is needed and their patients safety is their top priority. The dietary department accommodates all the diets and preferences to meet the patients needs and wants. Overall, I would highly recommend this facility because their management department is on top of everything and makes sure everything is done in the most efficient way for everyone.

Fantastic experience: As far as Skilled Nursing Facilities go, I like this one the best. They are taking care of my mother very well!

Positive experience: My Vietnam Veteran was sent here from the VA after being Septic. He needed Physical Therapy and time to recover. What a great Rehab Staff ! Lauren & Greg in OT really made a difference in his life. Micah in speech and memory work were so kind and considerate. The nursing staff were mostly wonderful. I can't say enough about their good care Brian, & Helen. The discharge planning on 08/30/2023 was nonexistent . We were notified on 8/24 of the pending date and the staff seemed to not know it was discharge time. The facility was clean. His room was clean and the maintenance worker was very responsive when needed. I never smelled anything disturbing. My husband thought the food was great. I would go back for care again.

Fantastic experience: I’ve only been here a few days but so far I’ve had a wonderful experience. The smiling faces and kindnesses are everywhere! The food is excellent and the facility is beautiful . If I could I would finish out my days here!

Fantastic experience: I’m posting this for my Aunt Lulabelle Burgess who stayed after knee replacement surgery. She would rate this facility higher if possible. These are her words to me “ I want to express my gratitude to all the staff from cleaning, Physical Therapy, Nurses, and CNA I cannot tell you how good everyone has been to me. I feel like I have been in a resort instead a skilled nursing . I wouldn’t want to be in any other place if I need to have therapy this will be the place to come.“ now I would like to express my gratitude to all that made her stay so enjoyable. I am across the country in Georgia and I am able to feel at ease knowing that my dear Aunt that is so precious to me is being cared for. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Fantastic experience: This building is beautiful. Every time I visit it is clean and I'm welcomed by friendly staff. I've had the pleasure of working with the management team and they are truly focused on providing the best care for their residents. If the time comes that one of my loved ones need care I will definitely be taking them to Copper Ridge.

Positive experience: My wife suffers from dementia and the staff there has taken very good care of her needs. Three of the people there that I have interfaced with are Julie, Clayton and Tara who are great individuals that have taken care of her. I would also like to thank Deanna at the front desk and Tammy in the billing office.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff at Copper Ridge health care center does a fantastic job. Especially Tammy and Teresa in the business office. These two ladies have assisted me numerous times with Medicare insurance and Medicaid.they are always there for when I need help. Love the nursing staff, especially Stephanie, Cece, Brian, Clayton. The CNA Staff are good at their job. Casey Ellis does a fantastic job in keeping the facility in a great working order. all in all a great facility.

Positive experience: Copper Ridge is a skilled nursing facility, with a rehab center as well as a lock down memory care wing. It takes Medicaid, so many dont have family, but many do. It is a no-frills place that people can stay and basic needs are taken care of, either for short term rehab or long-term living, when they need to be safe. My MIL, who has a TBID & left with schizophrenia (not safe to live with any of us anymore, due to her psychosis), has lived here for close to 10 years. It costs several thousand dollars to keep her safe and cared for-this is why she is on Medicaid and will always be in a shared room. Her basic needs are being met, we are able to visit her, we meet with staff every few months, which is required by law, to review her care plan. Over the years, administration has changed around several times, but that is common among senior facilities. We have never seen staff upset with her, abusing anyone there, etc. Conversely, staff does get yelled at alot by those who are living there. Its all pretty heavy, but the residents there are also there for a reason, requiring the highest, most expensive care needed, so it is very different than a nice, beautiful assisted living facility. CR provides daily activities and the Catholic and LDS Churches are there on a weekly basis with worship services and regular visits with residents. As a family, we can come and go anytime. When we see things that we would like done, we help and do. Often the reason my MIL isnt showered or her hair isnt done, is because she has refused a shower or hair appointment, or anything else they ask her about. Because she has rights, they have to respect her right not to shower, have help in the restroom, brush teeth, or even eat. They are not going to drag her down the hall to make her shower. If you want your loved one to do those things and they arent compliant, come over and help them. I have taken my MIL out to get her shampoo set on multiple occasions because she missed her weekly hair appt with the awesome in-house hair dresser, Lynne. There is no substitute for family. Its all heavy and no one enjoys leaving their loved ones there, but when necessary, my family is grateful she has a safe place ro be. Its best, rather than complain, to actually communicate the needs and jump in to help. I gave 4 stars because I do wish they had more staff on weekends/evenings to keep up with the messes they are always cleaning up. Kudos to the nurses who have worked here for many years-Lisa and Christine, so many others. Very kind staff. I am not on a soap box, just trying to clarify what the purpose of these places-some of these negative reviews just arent realistic to the nature and purpose of a skilled nursing facility.

Fantastic experience: Copper Ridge is a great facilty. The staff took very good care of my mother while she was there. They were very patient and kind to my mom. The staff took the time to establish an indiviualized care plan specific to my mothers needs. The flexible visitation hours were very helpful for our family to be able to spend time with her around our schedule. Thank you for treating my mother with dignity and respect.

Fantastic experience: It's hard to lose your loved ones. Copper Ridge is one of the oldest convalescent homes and rehab centers in West Jordan. Despite negative reviews from those who have lost their loved ones (through absolutely no fault of the Center), it's a great place for those needing care in their Golden Years. I have had three good friends live out their days there. If I had to live in a Home, I'd choose Copper Ridge over many others.
