The hyperbaric and wound center at Holy Cross Hospital - Jordan Valley is accredited by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) with distinction, a status given to the top 4% of hyperbaric centers in the U.S. who meet the highest standards of patient care, quality and safety.
Depending on the type, length of time and medical conditions, wounds may take an average of 8 to 12 weeks to heal. Our staff is specially trained to provide the highest standard of care to help you get back to living your life to the fullest.
After an initial evaluation, we provide each person with an individualized plan to help heal these difficult wounds, using serial digital photo records for wound assessment and management.
Regular full thickness or split thickness grafting often requires creating a new wound to help heal an old wound, with residual scarring. Epidermal grafting provides a milder skin graft solution without scarring of a donor site and is done easily in the office.
Hyperbaric medicine has been studied to be effective in a variety of specific wound types. We only treat indications currently approved by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and Medicare.
Having an ostomy, especially if unplanned, is a very difficult and emotional life-altering development. Our staff understands the unique challenges (both mental and physical) associated with managing an ostomy and can help educate and troubleshoot the best solutions and products for your particular situation.
Most wounds will heal with careful conservative care. However, there are instances where the body cannot provide local growth factors required for healing due to certain underlying medical conditions.
These come from varying sources, including placenta, umbilical cord and other mammalian cells. Application of these products can jump start wounds to help them heal.
Known as the gold standard in diabetic foot ulcer healing, casting allows complete offloading of diabetic foot ulcers with the highest success rates of all other treatments. Casting includes a weekly application with dressing changes.
Because each patient is unique, we have brought together a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team to design and deliver the best solution for your care. We offer comprehensive consultations, advanced wound treatments and specialized patient education.
Considering all your needs, we provide care with respect and dignity because we know this is an essential part of the healing process. Our wound care staff will manage your care with your primary care physician, specialty care providers and home health agencies to ensure your overall wellbeing.

Jordan Valley Medical Center - Hyperbaric & Wound Center: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I went in here after suffering a seizure. I've been here twice in 10 days. I recently have been given a diagnosis of ASD. When I'm disoriented or anxious it can be hard to talk to me or get me to understand. It's like talking to a toddler. When I got here and was coming out of the daze of the seizure I was also panicked because of my experience with another health care facility. I just wanna say these guys too good care of me. They understood I wasn't being bad on purpose and talked to me kindly and gently in a way I could understand until I came to. That's how it should be. Thank you for caring for me Jordan Valley ER.
Fantastic experience: I am so impressed with this clinic. I brought my mom here several months ago for a diabetic pressure ulcer that was not healing. Dr Moffat and Dr Dejohn are highly skilled in the field of wound care. They are very professional and extremely friendly and make all their patients feel welcome. The office staff, the MA’s, the nurses and PA’s are all wonderful. I highly recommend this clinic.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Moffat is amazing. These guys are great! You are never waiting long and they go out of thier way to help you. Definitely reccomend!!
Fantastic experience: Dr Moffett is the best wound Dr I have had experience with. My 1st time was in 2015 with a recurring wound on the back of my calf, after I had an extensive graft done a year earlier. I was there for a year and a half but Dr. Moffett never gave up on me , encouraging me, trying new procedures doing everything he knew to heal my stubborn wound. Then he had me go to the vein clinic because this Dr took patients that had an existing wound where most others wouldn’t. After 4 treatments and some follow up with Dr Moffett it finally healed. Dr. Moffetts determination and research, kind, caring, best bed side manner ever attitude made me feel confident he could help me, and he did. Also the staff are always super friendly, comforting, considerate and consoling they’re the best. I would highly recommend Dr Moffett to anyone seeking an excellent Dr. and wonderful staff. Thank you, all so much.
Fantastic experience: After a prolonged series of treatments with a podiatrist I came to the wound care clinic with an advanced diabetic foot ulcer and was immediately put at ease by the friendly staff. Within one week of working with Dr. Moffat I started to see some improvement. The clinic has recently been remodeled and the expansion has cut down the pre-appointment wait time to about10 minutes which Is important on my busy schedule. I wish all my medical providers were this efficient. More physicians are referring wound care specialists because they are better educated on the most recent techniques to treat both chronic and acute wounds. My only regret is that I did not go sooner since I was not aware this medical specialty even existed.
Fantastic experience: This is the best wound care center in the state of Utah. Great providers and staff offer the latest in wound care. I would highly recommend this center to anyone looking for help with persistent wounds.
