Performance Rehabilitation- Yonkers

Fantastic experience: Performance rehab is a wonderful facility overall. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. They form therapy plans that get you back to full physical ability as quickly as possible. I have gone to performance rehab 4 times and everytime they have me back to work/physical activity faster than the doctors prediciton. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Performance Rehabilitation is filled with professional, kind, courteous, quality people from the front desk to the billing department to the physical therapists. Working toward my goals has proven less difficult than imagined since the staff works with you in understanding in detail your injury, helping you to combat the injury while eliminating bad habits that prolong the process, and giving you exercises to accelerate the healing at home. You are introduced to a very comfortable office with a multitude of exercise options to help you along while keeping boredom at bay. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: An outstanding rehab facility. The employees build a rapport with their clients and get to know them personally. You can see that they actually care about your well being and recovery. They also push and encourage you to keep trying. Lastly the owner Steve is a really down to earth person with a big heart. Always happy, energetic, a very youthful soul. Easily the greatest Physical Therapy experience I ever had.

Fantastic experience: As a person who does not like to take medications, performance rehab has worked wonders for my neck and shoulder pain. The staff is very knowledgeable and are able to answer all of my questions as well as provide me with tips for pain management. Having been to other therapist, that did more harm than good, I can tell you that they do not compare to the relief that Chris DiSisto is able to provide with the soft tissue manipulation. Since going to performance rehab, I have been in a lot less pain and able to do many more of my regular daily activities. Every staff member is professional, caring and helpful. Sufficient time is spent with every client to ensure appropriate attention is given. The office is welcoming and clean! Just a rebuttal to the post about therapist not washing hands and the materials not being sanitized. That is so NOT accurate they are always cleaning and I have always seen all staff members pay close attention to cleanliness!!! I highly recommend Chris and performance rehab!

Fantastic experience: Great place!! Ever since my first day , my shoulder has been gradually improving ! Fantastic experience: Been going to Performance now for almost three weeks. I have been extremely happy with my rehab there for my total knee replacement and have nothing but good things to say about them. They are on top of my situation as they move me to more challenging exercises and increase the weights on the machines as soon as I am capable of moving on. I noticed as patients move from table to table, the tables are sprayed and wiped down as well. The staff is friendly, caring, personable, engage the patients in conversation while taking care of them--in other words, they treat the patients as people, not just as a body they have to deal with. All of the staff know me, most by my name as well. It makes for a pleasant experience while going through rehab.

Fantastic experience: Performance Rehab is one of the best rehab facilities in Westchester! I’ve been to 2 other rehab centers and I’ve never felt such a welcoming and supportive environment like this one. Priyanka as well as the rest of the physical therapists are so knowledgeable, friendly and truly want you to get better. I appreciate the facility for helping me strengthen my knee. My knee feels 10x better just over a 3 month period!

Fantastic experience: Let me start by saying that this place is amazing! Everyone is so kind and motivating. My therapist was Margarita, she is awesome! So sweet, so kind and would always encourage me and push me to keep going throughout the exercises. She really cares about her patients. Luke who was often assisting her is also awesome! Steve the owner is amazing as well. Super kind people! I couldn’t walk for months and this place is what helped me get back on my feet! Nothing I tried worked but physical therapy did! I had bursitis and tendinitis under my foot that wouldn’t go away for months! It was constant pain. As soon as I started physical therapy I saw a huge difference within weeks! I am so grateful for everyone who helped me and now I can walk normally again! It was bittersweet on my last day. I will miss everyone!

Fantastic experience: During my stay, the process to healing from a few injuries became less tedious and more fun. They made sure each visit counted, pushing me just enough to strengthen back up. My confidence spiked back up because of their efforts, without them I wouldn’t have gotten back into sports or the gym as soon as i did. Thanks to them, i could live daily pain free and better knowledge on how to strengthen certain muscles.

Fantastic experience: This has been my fourth time at performance rehabilitation, and again they have done it. I have gone to other places in the past, but every time I return here ,it feels like home. Every one is pleasant and friendly. The physical therapists are top notch, and assistants are very attentive. Priyanka was my therapist and she challenged me with each visit. Fantastic experience: A good place for physical therapy. Priyanka will push you to the limit and give you good advice for getting better (She's cute too). I was barely walking and in a lot of pain after knee replacement surgery. I'm back to work now and doing well. I'll return to Performance when I have my right knee replacement surgery. Very nice and pleasant staff .

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough about the physical therapists, front desk staff, and the overall service provided at Performance Rehabilitation. They have created a positive environment where the treatment is clearly tailored to the patient, and the medical reasons behind each action taken are explained so that you can learn along the way. Their exercises are designed to heal you in the short term and keep you healthy in the long term as well. Highly recommend if you are ever in need of some PT.

Marie my therapist listened to my complaint of pains looked at my chart and developed an entire workout package to fit my needs and recovery. Her assistant Kevin is also a rockstar. Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a place to recover from an injury or surgery, I highly recommend Performance Rehabilitation. In 2017, after having surgery on her broken left ankle, my wife asked me to help her look for a physical therapist. The surgeon had installed her ankle and her doctor told she may never run again or dance salsa ever again. By the time she was done with PT at Performance rehabilitation, we was able to run across the room. She is now able to run, do yoga several times a week and most importantly, dance salsa. After seeing the great recovery she made with the guidance of Performance Rehabilitation, I knew I could count on them, should I need them. When I wasn’t able to ride bike due to left shoulder pain, I knew where I had to go. After completing my physical therapy, I was able to ride my bike without pain. In addition, I have gone to them for neck pain, left quad pain, and a strained left hamstring. Each time. Performance Rehabilitation has helped me get back to my activities as strong as ever.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was very respectful and helpful I felt very welcomed here. My first day of physical therapy I had a lot of pain in my right toe due to my surgery and was not able to move it. Now I’m walking perfectly fine with no pain thanks to Priyanka. I would rate 6 stars if I could. I recommend this place and recommend Priyanka.

Fantastic experience: I have gone to Performance Rehabilitation twice in one year on two separate occasions. I have had Tim as my therapist both times. Tim is one of the most respectful and kindest person. Every single time I walk into physical therapy I can see a smile upon Tim’s face under the mask. Tim and Daryl are so very encouraging in helping me press forward to getting better. Always letting me know that I have done a good job. They both show so much concern to my well-being. Fantastic experience: Performance Rehabilitation has made the difference in my life from existing with physical pain to living pain free. Over the past few months I have been able to regain my walking, movement and exercise activity. My therapist was Tim and through his physical therapy knowledge and his encouragement I was taught how to stretch my inert muscles and regain my active life. Tim is a very sincere therapist who knows heaps about how to retrain our bodies from an injury. Daryl, his assistant was always there to help when I was struggling. The entire staff at Performance is most kind, patient and professional. I most highly recommend Performance Rehabilitation in Yonkers.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time ever going for physical therapy and it was such a great experience. It’s a well kept facility, they have a great staff, and an encouraging environment to help you get through the hard parts of rehab. My physical therapist Margarita was AMAZING! She was nice, knowledgeable, experienced, and in general such a nice person. If it’s your first time doing physical therapy, I would definitely recommend this facility.

Fantastic experience: Priyanka definitely helped me! I honestly thought I wouldnt stop limping after I sprained my ankle and many times before but Priyanka gave me the right exercises and pushed me and now im back to normal. Her assistants and front desk are just as helpful as well and very nice and helped me along the way! I would definitely recommend them. Fantastic experience: I went to Performance Rehabilitation for chronic back pain from June to October of 2021, and I had a wonderful experience--both with Jennifer and her assistant Valentina and later with Priyanka and her assistant Nathalia. I learned a great deal about how to manage/relieve my pain, and I genuinely enjoyed each of my sessions here. The therapists are knowledgable and caring, and the office staff is exceptionally efficient. I could not recommend Performance Rehabilitation more highly, and I will not hesitate to come back should the need arise.

Fantastic experience: I have had my share of physical therapy in my day. Some very good, some bad and some extremely bad. Performance Rehabilitation is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Everyone is super friendly and extremely attentive to the patients needs. I can not say enough about the great job Shruti has done to help me improve my shoulder. Her experience and attention to detail is simply great. Kyron works with Shruti and has also been fantastic in assisting my recovery. Great guy too. Margarita is a great part of the team and it’s great to watch how she fills in the gaps where needed. Fantastic experience: Steve and his team are truly fantastic. If you need PT, especially hand therapy, this is the place to go. The facility is clean, the staff is warm and personable, and the therapists really know what they are doing. It's clear how much they care about their patients and they put in the time to get to know you and help you improve your condition. Both my husband and I came here for PT (for separate issues) and made huge progress as a result of the work we put in here. Their schedules can fill up quickly, but they are always able to work with you and will squeeze you in if they need to. While I won't miss coming here 2-3 times per week, I will miss Steve and his staff!

Fantastic experience: I started my physical therapy at Performance Rehabilitation three weeks prior to the COVID19 pandemic lockdown. The staff took every precaution necessary to keep each patient safe by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing the equipments and exercise tables. My Therapist was Priyanka and she was amazingly patient and encouraging. The center had to shut down as that was the order by the governor. We had zoom sessions during the lockdown because their number one priority is the healing of their patients. I would recommend Performance Rehabilitation to anyone who is looking for a professional environment, real certified physical therapists and a clean environment. They treat each patient based on their injuries unlike other places that every patient gets the same treatment. Performance Rehabilitation is top class from the moment you enter.

Fantastic experience: This is the second time I’ve come to Performance Rehab. Both times have been successful as well as pleasant experiences. My therapist, Steven Srebnik, is a highly skilled hand specialist who has taught me many useful exercises to rebuild my strength and reduce pain. The staff are diverse, careful, and encouraging, helping each patient to move ahead at their own pace as they heal. There are often exchanges among various patients and staff that also help to lighten the atmosphere. This quality, in combination with the large and airy size, creates a friendly, upbeat place that is almost more like a neighborhood gym than a PT office. In addition, it is a quick drive from Riverdale where I live and parking is no problem as there are on-street meters as well as a parking lot. I recommend Performance Rehab highly.

Fantastic experience: I injured my knee and my hamstring when I started kickboxing lessons a few months ago. I came to Performance Rehabilitation to repair my injuries and to strengthen my legs in order to allow me to continue kickboxing. I worked with Shruti and Bryan twice a week for a few months and noticed a complete turnaround. Not only am I now pain free but I have noticed my form and strength increase greatly and I am able to deliver more forceful kicks than ever. I also got to work with Sheldon on one occasion and she was also wonderful. The team at Performance Rehabilitation really cares about their patients. When they ask you to perform the exercises at home, it’s not just because they want to torture you. But by doing the exercises at home, it strengthens your muscles and pushes your healing along. After all that’s why you go for therapy, for the healing. Thank you Shruti and Bryan for helping me to get stronger. You guys are the best!!!

Fantastic experience: I recently started my physical therapy here and i love it. I was in an accident and l injured my leg from the knee down. I get alot of pain and i pretty much have to learn how to use my leg again. I have the pleasure of working with Shruti and Margarita and they are very attentive and have a great sense of humor. Since i started working with them i have so much less pain and more strength which has definitely increased my quality of life. I appreciate the fact that they actually listen to all of your concerns. They genuinely want you to get better and you can see it by the way they work with you. I am very happy that i started my physical therapy here and I highly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a pt.

Fantastic experience: Great PT office. Staff are great, therapists are great, caring, and pay attention to detail. Came in here with a broken ankle in 3 places not able to walk. Doctors told me that I was able to walk quickly compared to most people thanks to the staff at performance rehabilitation.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Performance Rehab in Yonkers Avenue for approximately 3 months, and I also went approximately 1 year ago. This place is quite amazing. They have helped me recover from lower back pain, but more important, they are stellar, professional, caring and offer the best physical therapy treatment. Trust me I know, I have been to other places in the past. By far, my favorite place and the best PT team I know. Most of them have a great sense of humor and treat the patients with love and genuine care. Even though we know that physical therapy can be an hour of torture as I call it. lol Like they say no pain, game, they always made me feel very comfortable and at home with their loving care. I must say PRIYANKA, is my PT hands down and obviously she is my favorite and happens to be absolutely, absolutely the BEST, I will not trade you in for the world!!!!!! I would be remissed if I didn't shout out MELANIE (AKA MEL), for her warm, attentiveness and beautiful personality. Fantastic experience: My mom Evelina had limited ROM on her Right shoulder before the start of her PT. David Burke, the Senior Physical Therapist, not only worked on her exercises on the site but gave her some exercises to follow at home. It took only a month and WOW, she is back to being herself again and doing the ADLs as if nothing happened to her right shoulder! We can’t thank you enough David for your professionalism, knowledge and expertise and just being nice & wonderful to my mom! Fantastic experience: PT With Heart! When you walk in, the staff is very friendly and helpful! I went through physical therapy years ago somewhere else with little care from them and more focused on more money and did most on my own for recovery. Here at Performance Rehabilitation Priyanka, Melanie and John are the absolute best at what they do. They are concerned about your recovery and work with you very hard to achieve the best results for you not your pocket. They make the workouts enjoyable so that it doesn't feel like therapy, they teach and encourage you to go the extra mile for a quicker recovery but never force you into workouts that you are not ready for. They provide you with printouts of the exercises that you do there to take home with you to continue between sessions so that you don't have to try to remember as to what you did there. The best care and treatment I have ever gotten from a medical facility yet! You will be glad you went to Performance Rehabilitation in Yonkers, NY and put your trust in Priyanka, Melanie, and John you won't be disappointed!
