Billings Clinic: Reviews
Negative experience: I must say this organization has gone way down all the way around. The finance department doesn’t seem to know what they’re doing. My bills are paid in full on time but I’m constantly getting past due notices and then they’ve sent some to “bad debt”. Unbelievable. And unapologetic. I have to show them every single time where this bill or that has been paid. Should not have to take the time to clean up their mess.
Negative experience: Awful, rude individuals. Hang up on you when in a crisis talking to the emergency nurse line. Hung up on me after I pointed out the large amount of malpractice that took place. Including, harassment, patient abandonment, patient neglect. They caused me tremendous damage. They responded by blocking my phone number and dropping me from the clinic. Will be arrested if I go back?.? Place has awful morals and care.
Negative experience: When a newborn child was taken to have a circumcision done the doctor performing it decided to stop halfway through after he thought he was performing it on the wrong baby and pulled the remaining foreskin up to try to undo what he had done, now I live deformed and in pain so thanks
Negative experience: Pediatric staff is terrible. They have poor testing and very rude staff. They discriminate and push lots of different medications and deny the side effects.
Negative experience: $900 for a checkup and blood panel. Not going back. St.Vs is under $200 and they instantly give a discount for self pay customers.
Negative experience: Honestly just needed to talk to my primary care doctor about some medical forms for work in which I was given passive aggressive remarks and treated as if I was a child. Not sure if I caught this lady on a bad day but for someone who is in need of time sensitive documents, it was frustrating dealing with “oh sweetie that just not how we do things around here”.
Fantastic experience: Kept me alive for a long time, I’m so so lucky for the pediatric CF and endocrinology clinics- there’s some iffy things but it’s average hospital things- I have the most amazing team here and I’m so lucky for my hospital family ❤️
Positive experience: Randall my nurse was great and the nurses the previous night's were great as well. Great atmosphere. The doctor seems to not care about the patients though. But overall Randall and the lady with the glasses made it a great experience for me. Thank you
Negative experience: Near impossible to get a hold of.
Fantastic experience: The RN that’s been taking care of me named Payton she’s in labor and delivery and is absolutely outstanding!!!! if I could pack her up and bring her back I would I have never felt more comfortable and less of a burden specially when starting facing in and out of coherence she definitely deserves all the praise!!!
Negative experience: It has been 6 months since the death of my mother and I just wanted to once again share my thoughts about Billings Clinic care, and Ethics practiced at this facility. First I would like to say, I am a 34 year paramedic/nurse with extensive critical care, ED and Flight experience. My mother was admitted to this facility following a hypoxic even (very low oxygen) and her care after entering was shameful, and yet fully supported by administration, physicians and nursing administration. Due to her confusion, related to the hypoxia, we made the decision as a family to put into place a Power of Attorney for medical decisions. That included my brother, myself and, my father. AGAINST our wishes the cardiologist proceeded to perform multiple procedures on my mother, including a heart cath. We specifically declined this cath as she had compromised kidney function and we were concerned the dye used would cause further damage. Post cath, her kidney did continue to fail, Nephrology was consulted. She was sent to rehab where she fell 2x due to her inablility to ambulate and was then sent home where she died 4 days later as her lungs filled with fluid, essentially drowning her in her own fluids. NOW, don't get me wrong, my mother was 86, and the lack of oxygen did hurt her heart function, but Billings Clinic AND Dr. Rodriguez. as well as Dr. Furmen were all well aware of our wishes to not perform a heart cath or put her through any other stressful procedures. Which they ignored, they also ignored LEGAL paperwork. In addition the Hospital AND Dr. Rodriguez profited on my mothers death by performing these "procedure" even though they were declined. This review is just a reminder! BUYER BEWARE. I have been in this vocation for half of my life and I have NEVER witnessed such unethical practice, or such BLATANT DISREGARD of family wishes for their loved ones. This went so far as "Dr. Rod" grooming my confused mother in the room to agree with him in saying she agreed to the procedures when none of us were there (She had no recollection of what he had done to her). So PLEASE PLEASE be diligent with your family. PLEASE PLEASE stay with them as you cannot leave trusting that $$$ won't override good care and common sense at Billings Clinic.
Fantastic experience: The night time ER staff are awesome!! Dr Espeland and his nurse with the dark hair were literally fantastic.
Negative experience: It sucks when a hospital refuses to treat your loved ones and they give up on them. It's horrible having to sit there and watch your family member slowly die because they don't want to help. St Vincent's isn't any better tried to transfer for better care and it was denied. Gastro doctor yelled on the phone while trying to initiate a transfer.
Negative experience: Worst company ever. They canceled my payment plan and sent me to collections all within 5 days. No warning. Account was current.
Negative experience: My mom was in there. They were horrible made her stay in her bed. They were supposed to get her up and walk her around. They gave confidential information to a family friend. And not family. Which is illegal. Not happy at all with them. They also gave her a infection.
Negative experience: I was going to billings clinic for 4 years very disappointed. I had to switch hospital. It's hard to get an appointment you wait really long to be seen. The docters don't seem to care and don't get back to you on stuff. I had 2 visit with this new hospital and got more done and my problems taken care then the 4 years I went to billings clinic. I wouldn't recommend going here
Negative experience: Billings Clinic has turned into a corporate greedy for profit only business. Not interested in providing actual care. Dr.’s ticking the box and not actually trying to diagnose anything.
Negative experience: Extremely disorganized. There are absolutely hard working people who work here that care about doing what is right, and helping others- Unfortunately this was heavily dampened by a couple cruel workers I came across here.
Negative experience: Every person you talk to at Billings Clinic will be the dumbest person you've ever talked to. Then they will refer you to someone dumber than they were. Unbelievable.
Negative experience: Extremely disorganized. There are absolutely hard working people who work here that care about doing what is right, and helping others- Unfortunately this was heavily dampened by a couple cruel workers I came across here.
Negative experience: Tried getting ADHD medication and depression treatment there. Both are diagnosed. They told me my situation is too complicated. Refered me to psych. They told me my situation is too complicated. Referred me again 5 months out. I said screw that and just went to see a local psych who literally got me in the next day and treated. Useless waste of time.
Fantastic experience: Calm....
Negative experience: Our account was turned over to a Collection Agency regardless of "on time" and additional monthly payments. The Accounting People told us "It's out of our hands, talk to the Collection Agency". After over 60 years as a Patient, and faithfully paying all accounts in full, they did this to us. We will never go there again unless there's no other choice.
Negative experience: Last year one of the young nurses told me to get up after she and another nurse did my ct scan in a mean tone of voice that was not nice
Fantastic experience: Just like to give a shout out to a wonderful nurse named Tatiana in the E.R, what a kind professional she was to my wife. Thank you so much.
Fantastic experience: Dr zieske and a few nurses helped me out with a super bad cut on my hand. First time I went in they told me take Tylenol as I had a giant hematoma, whole hand was swollen and it felt like I just had surgery. I came back in 4 days later and now they have prescribed something to help with the pain (thank you so so much I can sleep now) and made sure everything looked good with the wound. I am home now, getting sleep, able to go shopping at least, and just overall improved my quality of life while I deal with this injury. Thank you so much Billings clinic you guys are amazing and really have been accommodating and empathetic!!
Negative experience: So unhelpful and unprofessional.
Negative experience: Billings Healthcare is a joke.
Fantastic experience: Have an appointment first
Fantastic experience: I have been here 3 times since I moved from AZ... Excellent staff kind and don't mind a talker Dr Bikman and student as well as the nurses were wonderful
Fantastic experience: Free WiFi and plenty of places to charge up! Great atrium. Huge fish tank on one end also!
Negative experience: Their prices are a ripoff.
Negative experience: Matt and piper (call center employees)are reallllyyy unwilling to help me try and find a solution to why my wound vac hasn’t showed.I get you are just the one who does the transferring but for the love of god some customer service goes a long way. Despite those two unhelpful peeps every single nurse on the pediatric floor is absolutely amazing and would recommend them to anyone!
Negative experience: I set up a payment plan with them in November to pay $31on the 28th of each month for 12 months and paid my 1st payment. On December 9th I went to make my next payment and my account was inactive the next day I got a collections letter. In Sept. They sent me to collections for two $25. bills that I had just paid and they accepted the payments. Can not get any one on the phone to solve anything.
Negative experience: the er room treats mental health patients DISGUSTINGLY, openly mocking patients and extremely judgmental i remember i came in for a suicide attempt and the receptionist was very rude and giving dirty looks this was last November however i do remember a phlebotomist with lots of tattoos who was so kind, many of the other patients in the inpatient unit had the same things to say about the er room like the nurses openly mocking a patient who was crying for her mother or giving dirty looks the inpatient and PSU unit is way better with nurses/technicians who actually care. do better billings clinic the way your er nurses and technicians treat people who come in for mental health is unacceptable and disgusting
Negative experience: Billings Clinic really needs a transformation of their technology and computer systems. It's extremely outdated and really makes receiving health care here complicated and frustrating. They also are extremely understaffed and it's nearly impossible to book an appointment with any department. I will not be using Billings Clinic in the future.
Fantastic experience: I spoke to Julie! She was excellent!! Kind, Didn't pass judgment like most receptionists do, She was Helpful with all the Things I needed to schedule Along with stuff that didn't even have to do with billings clinic, She didn't complain once she was happy to Help. She was top notch with her customer service!!! I hope someone Above her Or someone that works with her, gives her recognition for being outstanding! I am sure she wouldn't mind they raise either! Because she Was the best!! 5,000% satisfied
Negative experience: Would not recommend. I called for an annual physical, which I had not had for a number of years. Annual physicals have always been considered preventative and considered a wellness visit for coding, but Billings Clinic refused to code it this way even though when I called to schedule it, when I checked in, and talked to the doctor, I verbally stated I was there for an annual physical. We didn’t talk about anything out of the ordinary and ultimately it was a waste since I was up to date on my Pap smear and stuff from being pregnant 2 years prior. They claim based on medical documentation by Dr Wilson, it was not wellness. However, they still want you to go in every year. Yet apparently they don’t want to code annual physicals as wellness visits anymore. Don’t go.
Negative experience: Drs quit left and right. From every office be that OBGYN, endo, family drs, etc. It's weird. The Pediatricians office never listen or send referrals until after you've asked multiple times. You're never taken back on time and it's rare when I or my family feels heard. It's only gotten worse since 2020. I've been snapped at by nurses when I ask why this happens so much lately. Am I not entitled to ask why after 4 phone calls referrals arent being sent? Why are you in the medical field if this is how you treat patients? Its not a good hospital.
Fantastic experience: I woke up July 4th with severe pain to my right side abdomain. Stuck it out for a day then made a online appt to go in on the 5th and get checked out at same day / urgent care. From the moment I parked the car I was met with urgency, care and respect every step of the way. The staff was friendly and helpful, the doctor was knowledgeable, thorough and took time to make sure understood what was happening and what was going to happen. It was recommended to undergo a CT scan to get the real story of what's going on and to create a baseline for future issues but she told me most likely what was happening and not to be scared or worried. Went back the next day for the scan and again was met with the same urgency, kindness and care. Different people and different departments. After a couple hours I noticed a missed call then another call from the same number a minute later, it was the doctor who treated me at walk in care. She was letting me know the results and advised me how to move forward. I thanked her and remembered her telling me it was her day off today. She said she would call and she did and that means a lot. I was grateful I was not forgot about just because someone had a day off. Thank you Billings Clinic, you made a painful experience less painful. Keep it up, you are all doing a great job!
Negative experience: I've never heard of a clinic that can't put in my insurance info. I had a consult scheduled and received an invoice estimate before even going to the consultation, a ridiculous amount, to top it off. I called and asked what that was about, they told me to contact my insurance. Excuse me what? Isn't that YOUR job? $400 for a consultation because you're lazy enough to tell me how much my insurance will cover? Avoid this place.
Negative experience: Giving 2 stars as much of the supporting staff is friendly and tries to be helpful but the overall care provided just isn't very good. Always feeling rushed or like every visit is an inconvenience due to understaffing or overworking -- not sure what the real issue is but it doesn't leave much time for empathy or even really trying to figure out what's going. Generally taking whatever your stated symptoms are at face value and just throwing medications at it instead of trying to help you heal. I empathize with their staff and their struggles but it still doesn't make it a good choice for quality care unfortunately.
Negative experience: It really has been a runaround, where you have to advocate for yourself in so many departments. I am tired. When will medical care become medical care versus insurance controlling and calling the shots, literally denying doctors shots, but doctors not following up to appeal when records show need. Losing records, losing referrals. I have had 1 good experience in 6 months.
Positive experience: Well doing a great job keeping my boyfriend's mom comfortable.
Positive experience: Doctor are good.
Negative experience: What a joke
Negative experience: This is literally THE WORST clinic I have ever been to. The nurse practitioners and specialists write you off. I have permanent damage to my hand because of their in capabilities AND THEN to top it all off, their psychiatric department lost all records of me and said I’m not a patient even though I have been seen there before. GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!
Negative experience: The day I went the emergency room the doctor and nurses were some of the rudest uncaring people I have ever met...I had been in a very severe vehicle accident the night before and the doctor JEDEDIAH WALKER maybe looked and listened to me for a entire 20 seconds it was very obvious by his actions and treatment of me that he did not care about my health or well-being...I heard the doctor go in other rooms with other patients and spend significantly more time with them..by far the worst treatment i have ever received they did absolutely nothing for my pain or other concerns i left there still in significant pain do not go here!!! Also Dr.JEDEDIAH WALKER was in the hallway within earshot of me and the nurses station and other patients on his cell phone outside a patients room who was 14 years of age saying the child was very suicidal and saying alot if other stuff about this minor kid...[I am purposely leaving the minor childs name out of my post out of respect for him and his family unlike the doctor...] felt that was very unprofessional of the doctor and I am sure the parents and the minor child himself would be upset that the doctor was freely discussing his condition with anyone to hear when it definitely should have been a private matter... my care and treatment and the attitudes of the nurses and doctors drastically changed when they asked and I informed them I did not have a covid vaccination they asked if I wanted one I said absolutely NOT... There so many things that happened and that I witnessed that were completely unprofessional and uncalled for my advice is to go to another hospital if you need emergency care...and if you see doctor JEDEDIAH WALKER walk in you might as well just walk out because he obviously does not do his job and is obviously only there for a paycheck !!!!
Negative experience: They'll try to take your kids if you exercise your parental rights.
Negative experience: Came in to the ER can't breath in extreme pain and told it's a wait. I went outside because I couldn't breathe with a mask on came back to the waiting area.Got the rudest team to treat me. Note I'm the only native American here. Been in Colorado for about 12 years after graduation college to move home because I was born here and leave it to good old Montana to discriminate.
Negative experience: My sister has been here since Wednesday. They have not listened to her at all concerning her health and the nurses we have dealt with are extremely rude! They probably need to find a new profession!
Fantastic experience: Never had a bad experience at the clinic.. everyone treated me very politely, was kind and helped when I had questions. Pediatrics is great too.
Fantastic experience: Billings Clinic is an amazing facility ESPECIALLY in comparison to St. V's. BC has more staff, nicer facilities, more advanced technology/machinery, and is faster that St.V's.
Fantastic experience: The doctors here saved my life!!
Positive experience: Loved most of the Nurses that cared for me and my child during my delivery there. Only downfall is they are horrible with after surgery pain management.
Fantastic experience: Excellent care Always ready to answer your questions.
Fantastic experience: I've been going here since I was 15...70 now & have had no problems!!
Negative experience: For over a year, the billing department has badgered us personally for a Workers Comp claim of $118. Traveler's has sent them proof of the payment 3 times and now we've been turned over for collections. Obviously they have an incompetent billing team. So frustrating!
Negative experience: My wife came in for a heart ablation procedure. Everything went well, they told us they were going to put a heart monitor on her and send us home that evening. Well the doctor apparently forgot to get the heart monitor or do anything further after the procedure. So when it was time to go home the next doctor on shift said he didn't know what was going on because no one had told him anything or left a passdown, and because of that he made us stay another night in the hospital. I had to take things into my own hands, call the doctor's and MAKE them talk to each other and figure it out. If it wasn't for the amazing nurses this would be a 1 star.
Positive experience: I call this place my favorite place because they have good doctors down there but I got that Maxine shot two Thursdays ago I have not been feeling better since I'm scared work what to do this is affecting me my work my kids everything this needs to end so I can move on my life I'm hoping it's just a temporary thing side effects of bad no like it
Fantastic experience: I had the best experience working for Billings Clinic!! Such an amazing team
Fantastic experience: People were exceptionally friendly.
Negative experience: The doctors are completely incompetent and useless.
Negative experience: They were very dismissive of the pain I was feeling. I went to another place about the same pain, and they told me it was something completely different. My problem wasn’t too serious, but it still needed attention right away. If I’d listened to what they said, it would’ve developed into something worse. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.
Negative experience: For two hours I heard a recording of how important my call was never did get through to anybody.
Fantastic experience: Great care, streamlined services, excellent staff
Positive experience: The Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a great place to get back in to condition after being sick for years.
