Fantastic experience: I don't know where the negative reviews come from because I haven't had anything but great experiences here. Both my mother and my mother in law have stayed here. The staff is wonderful. Everyone from the cleaning staff to the doctors have been very helpful and pleasant. My mom really liked all the people she came in contact with. My mother in law never had anything but positive things to say either. I hope if you are sent here or visit someone here, that you start with an open mind and make up your own mind.

Fantastic experience: There is masks provided ready without being attended. Just walk in and inform security who you go seeing. So quietly and no noise. Plenty parking lot spaces and couches too. So clearly directions less confusion to find so easier. Customer service support fantastic.

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank everyone enough from my my doctors, nurses,cna’s, techs, pt,ot and of course the culinary department ( Steven) was great taking my orders for meals. Miss Helen one of many great nurses I had was such a inspiration to me. I can still her voice saying Larry it’s time to rotate your body. And good Larry look at you. My P.T. Was definitely supportive in all they helped me todo. Kelly saying Good Job Larry or stand tall Larry. Can’t leave out Chris always saying don’t worry Larry I got you. If I didn’t mention you by name in this review. Just know anyone and everyone who came in contact with me while I was in room 317. Or as I just rolled through the hallways. I have a special place in my heart for all of you. I would give you all 10 stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: On Feb. 21 2023 I had a Total Knee Replacement done at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, as I live alone and have no one to assist me with my recovery I was held over at Memorial Hospital until approval was granted by the insurance company and I was transferred to Encompass on Feb. 23 at 4pm. Dr. Anderson was assigned to help me progress through this period of my recovery, as well as many nurses, assistant nurses, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, and their supervisors. It was a very painful and difficult time for me and I would have never been able to progress without the staff at Encompass. The only request I made that was not fulfilled was a Steak and Eggs Breakfast, but even an expensive flight on a airline doesn't necessarily guarantee at steak and egg breakfast in this day and time. So I would like to give a shout out to Dr. Anderson, Dr Hassin, Sister Stephanie from Staten Island, Anna Montana from Illinois, Casey and the Sunshine Band from Arizona, Makala from Connecticut, The Physical Therapist from Chicago that was a Usher at Wrigley Field and Loves them Cubbies. The night nurse named Mary and the day nurse named Mary, the assistant nurse name " The Plumber ", Angel, Alanie, Jose, and the Respiratory Ninjas that sneak around at night to make sure you are wearing your CPAP. I even had the opportunity to meet the CEO while she was roaming the hallway monitoring the workers. Thank you for the good, the bad, and all that comes with helping a old grouchy New Yorker recover from a total knee replacement. Your in Faith, Johnny Roe

Positive experience: The only reason it's not 5 stars is nothing can be perfect, Although I must say that some of the individuals I worked with did go beyond what was required of them. They responded to my needs besides what their job description was.

Positive experience: The facility is nice, the staff was great, PT, OT, ST, RT and all the CNA's we're amazing and very helpful. But when you're insurance doesn't want to pay for your very necessary care anymore, they give you the boot. Also the case manager wasn't very helpful. Alot of unnecessary stress to our family and love one . Too much uncertainty about the insurance, coming in almost daily stressing us out.

Fantastic experience: My mother visited many rehabilitation center cause ofher mother being put in different facilities and incompass definitely changed her mind when she had to go there to rehabilitate herself after breaking her hip and not being able to walk we love the staff and we thought it was a great place to be the people are absolutely wonderful thank you and compass you changed my mother's life

Fantastic experience: This facility is nice and clean the staff is very nice and helpful they made my stay very pleasant the OT and PT’s were very professional and they helped me get where I needed to be physically to be able go home as quick as possible and gave me the confidence that I could do the things I needed to do at home with the injury I had I Would highly recommend their service’s

Fantastic experience: I have been there twice now, and I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. I very highly recommend it, every one is so nice and caring. They have helped me so much, every one of their staff from the kitchen to the Doctors. This place is amazing and I can’t say enough about how wonderful they all are. I am so glad I went there after my surgery.

Fantastic experience: If this was the same place called health south they were very good and helpful to me in 2015 when I first had my stroke.

Positive experience: RN never came check on my father to rotate him on the bed..lady name Kim RN can be little rude.but I do want to give a high five to a CNA name Esperanza she was good CNA and very nice on top of everything of my dad and the family.case manager was very nice and very helpful to me and family.

Positive experience: Not a fan but some staff has been nice. The biggest issue I have with the place is the parking, hands down the worst parking lot in the entire county.

Fantastic experience: Anyone know where Dr. Bradfords new office went to? I went to my app the other day and entire office was empty - even the computers and chairs - even equipment GONE.. no trace and no sign on the door.

Fantastic experience: I appreciate encompass health and the progress I made during my stay. Amazing people. I did give some a hard time I had trouble using my call light I’m use to being independent. Unfortunately i cut my stay short due to 1 nurse Amy for her rude and ignorant comment. The stares I got when she walked passed my room. I Did not appreciate being talked about in her conversation I heard her. It’s always that one nurse. My ot and pt were amazing. They all were genuine and nurturing couldn’t have asked for a better rehab facility. Because of MY NURSES AND OT/PT i made a lot of progress for having 2 strokes. They listened to me , gave well feedback taught me ways to exercise at home. Cheered me on. I hope they know How Much they are appreciated. Jordan , cristal , annwanet , Stephanie, yoon , and many more I didn’t catch there name . Not Amy She Really Offended me to where I left the best place. Hope she knows I’m handicap I’m not slow . I didn’t appreciate being talked to like I was.

Fantastic experience: Clean and the service was great!

Fantastic experience: I was diagnosed with CIDP. And lost the feeling in my legs from the knees down, the feeling in my hands and also had my vocal cords affected. Terrified with how I was going live or just get by, I had no idea what to expect. But my stay at Encompass was uplifting. Encompass is a great place to recover & learn to live life again. The therapy side is awesome! My occupational therapist Carmen taught me how to do day to day living activities. While Jerry the physical therapist taught me how to move and get around. The hospital side while under staffed and over worked, helped me to overcome the mental challenges. The CNA's helped with my fear of now being completely dependent on others for things such as moving sheets off my feet to wiping and cleaning me after bowl movements. Aside from the therapy side, the medical staff also encouraged my recovery. Over all my stay at Encompass was amazing. Friendly staff, good food, clean facility & encouraged therapy made me wish I had more time than the 3 hours of therapy a day. I definitely recommend Encompass for anyone that needs advanced and aggressive physical therapy6

Fantastic experience: I spent two months in rehabilitation here at Encompass Health recovering from tumors in my spine and other issues. The doctors and staff took a personal interest in my recovery. The PT was amazing! Hats off to you Rohda! Your never quit and positive attitude helped me make it home. I am forever grateful. Dan was amazing too. All of the CNA's went above and beyond to make my stay as accommodating as possible. The food was good too. I highly recommend this facility should you ever need rehabilitation. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: My wife has been treated at Health South which is now Encompass Health. The first time she was sent there from the hospital and she improved dramatically from the start. The staff is most impressive. The doctor, nurses and assistants are professionals. More than that, they are compassionate, caring, and encourage and uplift the patients. Then there is the physical therapy staff. Each patient's debility is addressed by a physical therapist that specializes in area. My wife blossomed under their care and instruction. She has been there five times now and prospered greatly with each stay. I can't say enough about how Encompass Health has made her life better and more productive by making her stronger and more capable. The highest compliment I can pay Encompass Health is to encourage you to use this fantastic rehabilitation hospital.

Positive experience: My wife was in health south for 12 day knee replacement rehabilitation. The staff was more then outstanding they showed respect and compassion. All the way from case management. Fantastic experience: A great place I highly recommend it to anyone who decides to go ! I was there in February of 2015 for two weeks , be prepared to work hard (you do it intill !) and the food was Great the first person to work with me was (Holly Ocampo) and to this day I still remember what she has taught me . Who says the hired help dose not affect you be prepared for a boot camp style of work (it takes as long as it takes !) , I am still recovering and I had my Stroke in 2015 ( never give up ) in closing I will say to this day healthsouth is still apart of me ! take care of yourself if you decide to go . Fantastic experience: Nice staff. They answered all my questions. The overall place & building is welcoming, well designed and accommodating. Parking lot could be bigger though.

Positive experience: My father was here a few weeks ago. I live 2 hrs away visited my dad weekends. Physical Therapist were all very companionate. Nurses & Staff were always kind and accommodating. My father was absolutely happy during his entire stay, unfortunately due to insurance he was transferred to a local nursing home.
