Fantastic experience: We just moved here from Maryland and I needed physical therapy on my hand due to recent hand surgery. My surgeon sent me a referral so I could complete my therapy in Lexington. I looked around and decided to try Commonwealth Hand & Physical Therapy. I have been to three sessions so far and the staff and therapists are nothing short of amazing. I love this place and highly recommend it to anyone needing therapy.

Fantastic experience: Went here for therapy post surgery and worked with Hillary- from the very first time I walked in and met her I knew she was going to be awesome. Not only was she extremely personable but she's also helpful, professional, and educated. I would spent 2 hours there, each time, and The whole visit was always like I was hanging out with a bunch of friends. It was something I looked forward to. Hillary helped ease my anxiety about getting back to what I love ( working out) post surgery and also helped me get back into doing my job without pain (I am a paramedic!) I owe her (and everyone there) more than I could ever explain in a google review. I was self pay too (since my insurance sucks) so you know I spent a good amount on this hand therapy - and I still would not change any of it...because they are just THAT GOOD. Don't waste time anywhere else, if your post hand surgery..go here, always.... <3

Fantastic experience: Highly Recommend! We had to bring my 10 yr old for a small baseball injury and I’d have to tote my younger two to every apt and you couldn’t ask for a nicer staff, my kids looked forward to these appointments. Would certainly recommend this PT for anyone who has to have a child do PT

Fantastic experience: I have received the best possible care for my right hand which has mild carpel tunnel symptoms. I am already feeling some improvements with my hand’s mobility and I am so glad my doctor recommended them. They’re the best!

Fantastic experience: I had a displaced fracture of my left wrist in April 2020. Fortunately the original doctor recommended occupational therapy at Commonwealth Hand and Physical Therapy. With 8 months of knowledgeable and caring therapy I graduated at the end of December. I was about 80% recovered at that time and upon continuing the exercises at home have reached 100% recovery. Fantastic experience: Greg is the best! What a fantastic therapist! He works my husband really hard and has made progress that other therapists have not. He also has a fantastic personality, a very pleasant and compassionate man, very funny also. Ashley is also very good. Greg had gone the extra mile and that means all the difference in the world! Only wish he were at this office which is closer to our home. Wish he could open an office in Somerset!

Fantastic experience: Update: I received a call and they have resolved this issue to my satisfaction. I can highly recommend their services. I had received a Xiaflex finger manipulation from UK Healthcare and they sent me over to Commonwealth because they could do the splint for my recovery. I presented my insurance card upon arrival and received services and splint. Also made three PT appointments for the next week. I was very disappointed to receive the phone call the next day saying that my insurance was “not in network” and I would be responsible for the entire amount. I should have been told this prior to services being rendered so I would have known the financial impact. Happy with services but very dissatisfied with the administrative side of the organization.

Fantastic experience: I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021. After having bilateral mastectomies in July '21... and then 2 add'l surgeries for reconstruction a few months later... I've nvr been without tightness and discomfort. My Plastic Surgeon recommended PT to me. Living in London... I checked with SEVERAL PTs in the London/Corbin area. None had experience working with mastectomy patients!! Another Plastic Surgeon recommended Allison Brumbley at Commonwealth Hand and Physical Therapy on Waller Ave in Lexington...as they send their patients to her. Soo happy I found Allison!!! Allison is experienced in treating my mastectomy issues and set up a plan of treatment for me. Commonwealth Hand and PT is located upstairs from the Arthritis Ctr of Lexington on Waller Ave. Highly recommended Allison if you are experiencing mastectomy issues. Allison is a sweetheart to work with. She instantly makes you feel at ease with situation. She values your time and your privacy in treating you.

Fantastic experience: Commonwealth therapy folks are great! I have no doubt that I would be much more limited and my recovery would not have gone nearly as well without them. Very grateful for the excellent care I've received.

Fantastic experience: This place is first class. Arrived expecting just a simple consultation on why the top of my right hand might be hurting so bad (suspected overuse). I was prepared to pay for imaging, whatever it took. Instead, they took me back and a very nice and knowledgeable gentleman named Greg patiently walked/worked me through what I felt like was the best physical therapy imaginable. The staff here is extremely knowledgeable and these google reviews are the real deal. I look forward to each of my visits here and cannot recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: When I came to Commonwealth Hand & Physical Therapy, I did not think I would gain much (if any) motion in my right (dominant) arm. I had suffered an elbow injury which required an 8 hour surgery, with 5 plates and 30 screws placed in my arm. From the very beginning of scheduling my first appointment with the professionals at the front desk (so friendly and that is hard to find these days) who always greeted me with a warm smile, to the financial gurus who made sure to update me on insurance and explain the minute details (thanks, Tim!), no stone is left unturned here. When I went for my initial intake, I thought it might be a quick 20 minute appointment with some generic advice. HA! That was because I hadn't met Greg Pitts yet. He is the owner of this fine establishment and the OT guru in charge. He is professional, personal and honest and perhaps, most importantly: EXTREMELY knowledgeable. After my initial intake with him, I certainly knew I was in the right place. After spending the past 5+ months there, I have logged significant time at CH&PT, so I confidently can attest that this place is unlike any other. To say that I am very thankful this was the place I received therapy, is a glaring understatement. I don't know how they make therapy an enjoyable experience, but they do! Literally every single person there cares about YOU. Please understand that I do not give positive reviews lightly. I am extremely picky, especially when it comes to medical care. I was in right hands (pun intended) from beginning to end. A very special THANK YOU to MARY WAGNER who was with me from the beginning to my graduation. She constantly checked in with me, listened, encouraged me, gave me constructive feedback and always made me feel at home. The perfect balance. Additionally, Lauren and Luke felt like friends: friends that can help you recover from a horrible injury! They truly care. If you are looking for a place to get help after any sort of arm, elbow, hand injury and are looking for a sign as to where to go : this is it. Additionally, I also received physical therapy for part of my rehabilitation treatment. Both PTs, Chad and Alex were also so caring and encouraging. Both will explain the reason as to why you are doing certain exercises (rather than just throw you a worksheet and say "here, just do this.") They know how to push you just enough to where you will achieve your goals. THANK YOU Commonwealth Hand & Physical Therapy: you exceeded my expectations and now I can live my life with a recovered and strong arm. You all are angels. God bless you. You're THE BEST.

Fantastic experience: I just finished my therapy with Commonwealth Hand and Physical Therapy, so I wanted update the review I made earlier in my treatment. Without hesitation, I can still say the experience I had was great. The entire staff was professional and very caring. With each visit they worked very hard to address issues and concerns to give me the best results possible. My therapy was necessitated after a traumatic hand injury and Commonwealth Hand and Physical Therapy handled everything (wound care and rehabilitation) after I was referred there by my orthopedic surgeon. I couldn't be happier with their care and if I ever need this service again, I will insist my doctor refer me to Commonwealth. I won't go anywhere else because they are just that good and they make you feel like you are part of their family. I should also mention that they always got me in for my appointment early or on time--never late. I don't know of many medical facilities (if any) that can match that. Thanks so much!

Fantastic experience: I had nerve pain in one hand for nearly a year resulting from a fall. I’ve been receiving OT for about a month at Commonwealth Hand and I’m already seeing a reduction in pain and have started using my hand almost normally. I have every confidence the strengthening exercises will eventually get me back to my sewing.

Fantastic experience: I cut a couple of my fingers completely off. They worked a miracle. I made a full recovery. I listened to the therapists but more importantly they listened to me. Without them I would not have made it through. They made me feel extremely comfortable and like family. The only bad part about about my experience there, they where so successful at treatment I no longer have 1 single reason to go. I can pull a motorcycle clutch, make a fist, and have as much strength as I did before the accident. If you have any doubts, do yourself a favor and just show up one time and give them a chance to help.

I received so much encouragement and kindness here and that motivated me to do my exercises and follow the plan my therapist developed to treat my hands. My therapist Chad, he has been very helpful throughout this whole process. He addresses all of my concerns and explains everything really well. He is also very caring and makes sure that his staff does the best they can do . And believe me they do . Fantastic experience: From the very first visit, I had a detailed plan of action for therapy and they made sure I was doing all exercises correctly to get the most benefit from them. Every team member is kind, considerate and makes sure you are progressing with each session as well as checking on the "homework" you are given. They truly are concerned about you and want to help you achieve your goal of feeling better with more function.

Fantastic experience: Great environment. Everyone is encouraging. We were sent there with a bad prognosis. It was with hope that possibly with enough pt an arm/hand that miraculously should have been amputated after surviving a farming accident would eventually be able to have the swelling & stiffness relieved. He is now able to move 3 fingers very well, 1 finger a little, tie his own shoes, & much more. Without their help, knowledge, determination, & dedication. Without this we doubt any of his healing would have happened.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish I had an amazing experience at Commonwealth Hand Therapy and will always recommend them to anyone who asks. Everyone that works there is so caring and helpful. They work extremely hard to make sure each patient has the opportunity and the tools they need to make continuous progress while recovering from their injury. You can tell that every single person who works there genuinely cares about what they do and also about each and every person they work with. I did therapy there for almost two years and over that time it started to feel less like therapy and more like going to catch up with friends. I have so much to thank them for and couldn’t have asked for a more positive experience.

Fantastic experience: There virtually IS NO hand therapy in Kentucky to match the superior knowledge and techniques of Greg Pitts. Having hand FOUR trigger fingers, and being a physician, I speak from a wealth of experience. What service and what fine staff!

Fantastic experience: I have been there twice very very good very knowledgeable therapist and staff even the students doing their clinicals know their job. Very impressed with every part of this business entire staff and their knowledge of their business along with speaking with you at your level so you understand what they are doing and why. Everyone there is working to get you back to where you were before what put you in their very capable hands.

Fantastic experience: I recently burned my hand and needed to see Dr. Greg to ensure that I did not lose any ability to write or type for my career. With three visits, he ensured that my burn healed incredibly well and then made sure I had full use of my fingers. From beginning to end, everything was easy to understand. They walked through the insurance components, engineered the plan, and provided me with everything I needed. Overall, this was a great experience with an amazing staff. Although I do not want to have to go back in the future, if I ever have any issues with my hands, I know I will have a great place to go for treatment.

Fantastic experience: First class operation. They rehabbed my hand/wrist so good it was more flexible and equal strength to my good one. Plus, they didn't waste my time or insurance visits. When I was ready they stopped the visits. Not sure every place would do this. Highly recommend if you find yourself in need of this service

Fantastic experience: The staff all around couldn’t be any better, the atmosphere there is so welcoming; you most definitely don’t feel like you’re at a doctors appointment. The wait time before my appointments were never more than 2 or 3 minutes. If I ever (hopefully I don’t) break my hand/wrist again, they would be the place I would chose to go!
