Amy Selinger describes how growing up in our modern society, sitting and cumulative trauma may lead us to develop muscle imbalances that lead to musculoskeletal pain; particularly back pain.
With 30 years of experience specializing in back, hip and pelvic pain, Amy Selinger appreciates that many treatment techniques thought to be standard approaches to back pain don’t always work. Using the Movement System Balance approach she evaluates individuals with musculoskeletal pain syndromes to determine how they move their bodies in ways that contribute to their imbalance.
We are back in the office and ready and looking forward to seeing you again! We have expanded our hours and are taking every precaution to keep us all safe....

Like many of you, my heart has been rocked by recent tragedies in the world. From the hurricane in Puerto Rico to the mass shooting in Las Vegas, sometimes it seems that death and injustice are everywhere....
Back to Life Physical Therapy, Inc.: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Amy is a remarkable physiotherapist... I have had shoulder issues for years, decades really, with very little success with other physiotherapists. I've had two sessions with Amy since injuring my shoulder and she has made considerable progress on that joint. Amy is incredibly patient and really takes the time to explain how to do things right and not make things worse. I highly recommend her studio for anyone with skeleto-muscular injuries!
Fantastic experience: Amy Selinger takes the time to understand and treat you as a whole person, not just a collection of symptoms. She focuses on building strength, and is very skilled at problem solving. She is willing to try multiple interventions and always seeks feedback from the patient as to what works best for them. I wish there were more medical professionals who were as caring and competent as Amy.
Fantastic experience: Impressed with my entire experience so far. The team is incredibly thoughtful, communicative, accessible and affirming. As someone who is not the biggest fan of phone calls, scheduling an appointment via email was a breeze. I also received my post visit exercises via email and was asked what method of communication I preferred for both appointments and follow up materials. I wish more of my healthcare experiences were at the level of care and communication I have received
Fantastic experience: Incredible second sight and ability to listen and diagnose many subtleties not evident to most PT's or doctors. Such useful ideas, follow up exercises and excellent instruction. I am so lucky every time I encounter Amy Sellinger
Fantastic experience: Been going here for years for EDS and it’s how I keep walking.
Fantastic experience: Dr.Sellinger showed me the exercises I need to live a full life without pain or disability. I do the exercises, and I feel great. She sees things others miss and it helps her get just the right plan for each person. She’s the best!
Fantastic experience: Amy Selinger is brilliant. My daughter and I both have seen her extensively for a variety of issues. She's not an expert with every issue, but she will readily tell you if someone else can serve you better. That is so valuable.
Fantastic experience: Amy is a life saver, over the years she helped my wife my son and my self in many occasions. From back problems, to shoulder and other issues, she is our go to physical therapy (or more accurately physical therapy on steroids)
Fantastic experience: I have had a host of physical problems over the years. Hip , pelvic pain and back issues mostly. The PT's at Back to Life have been an AMAZING help with all of them. They are very knowledgeable, skilled and kind. I highly recommend them
